A/N Thanks to the people who have shown interest in this story, sorry about the break I took but I needed to prioritise exams over my writing so I was unable to upload chapters. As an apology I'm uploading two chapters at once.
"Hello?" John called out as he walked into the same park he had walked into before in his first deal with the Tinkerer. The genius criminal had told him to meet there once more so that they could make their second trade. "Helloooo?!" He called out louder.
As he waited, John began to admire how beautiful the park was, sitting down on a bench. The flowers were amazingly kept, and a couple of bird nests were built in the surrounding trees.
"Beautiful isn't it." A voice spoke nearby, and John turned to see a man whom he recognised and Phineas Mason from the MCU walking up to him with an extremely calm attitude, as if he wasn't going to make a very, very illegal deal. "You're younger than I thought you'd be when you contacted me. Be careful in this world kid, you go too deep you might never get out.
"You have the money?" John asked, looking over the man. He decided to ignore what he said but noted it down for later, he was becoming more and more annoyed at people treating him as though he was an idiot because he was younger. He didn't want to read too much into it but that was definitely what someone who wanted out of all this would say. Maybe he could use it later.
"I do." The Tinkerer reached into his pocket and took out a USB drive. "Do you have my drive?"
"I do." John nodded, taking out the drive with Hammer's data on.
"I've got to admit, I didn't expect you to succeed. You must be pretty good, for someone new to the business anyway." Tinkerer spoke. "I hope to do business again sometime."
"Sounds like a good idea." John spoke, looking a bit surprised. At least Phineas wanting to continue a professional relationship likely meant he wasn't being ripped off. He passed the drive to the man, already having been warned that he would want to check the contents before anything else.
He watched and waited as Mason plugged the drive in and began to look through the contents.
"There is definitely some good stuff in here." Tinkerer spoke. "Good job." He passed the other USB over. "The contents of that drive are completely secure and until you change it the currency on there can only be accessed through the activation of that drive. When its activated you will gain access to an account with $50,000 and a coin account with that much coin."
"Thank you." John nodded.
"No, thank you. It would have cost me much more to access this information through my normal means. Industrial espionage is such a messy business." John nodded; he was surprised how different the man was from his MCU counterpart. "Anyway, I've got a meeting to attend to, I hope I'll see you again soon."
"See ya." John nodded and shoved the USB drive into his pocket. He went through his mind to check if there was anything that needed to be cleared up or any evidence to collect about his actions, but he had made sure to burn or destroy it all.
Waiting a minute, John began to head home.
As he walked into his building, John noticed something strange. Firstly, for the first time in the last couple of weeks there was no thug standing at the front door. Ever since he'd stolen from his landlord the man had gone paranoid and hired thugs to guard the building, something he wasn't sure was legal, but he wasn't going to make a fuss.
The second but more significant thing that John noticed was a number of boxes lying outside of the apartment opposite his. The door had been left open and he saw as a strange woman busied herself about the place.
She turned towards the door to seemingly do something and spotted him, a smile overcame her face.
Instantly, John worked to disguise his horror at seeing the woman before him.
Bobby Morse, Agent of SHIELD specialised in undercover work. He knew her identity from the Agents of SHIELD show.
"Hi!" She spoke, acting bubbly and friendly. "I'm Barbra."
"John." He put on a fake smile, something she could probably see. "I'm guessing my new neighbour. I didn't know Mr Williams moved out; I could swear I saw him a couple days ago. You seem a little young to be living on your own?"
"I guess time flies." If he hadn't known about her true self, he would be completely under the woman's spell. She seemed completely genuine. SHIELD likely sent her here to keep an eye on him which meant that they knew either he was the one to rob Hammer or that he was enhanced.
"I guess it does. Anyway, I've got some stuff to do so I'll see you later. We should meet up for coffee sometime." He pretended to act friendly.
"That sounds great." He continued as she talked and shut the door behind him, panicking.
"Shit, shit, shit." He spoke and began to move throughout his apartment. He began to gather everything in the apartment that was important to him, it didn't amount to much, it consisted of the $5,000 dollars, a USB drive and a backpack. He was about to put both the items in his backpack when he remembered something he saw before in the menu for buying abilities. He summoned his profile.

Without a second of hesitation, John bought the storage dimension ability, which would allow him to store items within a small pocket dimension. While it was not completely limitless, it was considerably large, meaning he could store quite a lot inside.
Now that he had the new ability, John opened his new storage dimension or 'inventory' as he was calling it. Instantly, a swirling blue portal appeared just over his hand where he had willed it into being. He then began to move around the room and put his clothes in the inventory, with it staying in the same place. Each time he placed something inside it grew in circumference to absorb the item.
Finally, John placed the money and USB drive inside.
Then, he waited. He did not want to leave during the day as it might be too obvious and so he planned to leave under the cover of night. Once more he looked at the abilities that he could buy and considered getting the more deadly version of the 'paralysis touch', but he decided not to, at least not yet.
Finally, night came, and he left the house.
