Dib followed Zim everywhere he went in his lab, just like a good pet, this didn't seem to annoy the irken but rather making him flatter with himself, he was satisfied with it, Dib could tell.

Zim was piloting something that he didn't want to tell Dib yet about, saying 'it's a surprise'. The human shrugged it off for the sake of asking questions.

Last night was awesome, the boy thought it was just a fantasy dream but the small scar on his chest proved otherwise, he didn't mind it. Actually, Dib wanted that moment again, venting to someone while they listened, above all the person who listened would lay in his lap, these thoughts and memories made his cheeks heat up and his chest tighten, it was a good feeling he's seeking lately.

Zim was walking from a screen to the other, planing and piloting his next plan, Illness seemed glad by this fact and pushed Dib to help the other, how fascinating.

"The updates to your chocker should wait a bit, this plan is going to be good, it can't wait as well." The irken said as he sketched something in a blueprint.

Dib could only nod, watching the irken, staying close to him if he needed help, which he didn't seem to need, Dib bit his lips, why would someone like Zim, someone who's capable of doing everything on his own, want Dib, a weak, broken human? This question seemed to float endlessly in his head, demanding him to speak, to voice his question. Taking a breath, he decided to ask, looking to the side while doing so. "Why me?"

Zim paused for a second but didn't look away from his work, "Why what?"

"Why me from all other humans? I can't do anything, I'm just useless to you and you know it," Dib hugged himself, looking at his bare feet.

"Hm," Zim hummed, he slowly gazed behind his shoulder to look at the human, "Because Zim said so, Zim wants you to be his, and my words need to be obeyed."

"Oh,"

"And also... I find you different, no one can catch my attention if they weren't special." Zim said in a quiet tone, then continued his work.

Dib's cheeks flushed red, a small smile sneaked to his pale face, that was nice, he rarely- no, he never got any compliments, it was strange hearing them, but they felt good, he liked them, and he wanted more.

Silence fell on them once more, but it was welcoming.

"Hey, Zim?" Dib called again, liking to finally have someone to talk to.

"Hm?"

"What's your home planet like?"

Zim smirked from where he sat, his back to the human, "It's nothing like you've ever seen." Amusement dripping from his words, "It's beautiful, all metallic, the sky's red, there's rarely any clouds, it's usually lightened up by street lights since our sun is far away. When it's night, it gets super pretty... red and pink would shine..." the irken trailed off, then seemed to get back to work, again.

"What's a tallest?" Dib took the chance to ask more, hoping not to be shut down.

"They're the leaders of irk," Zim then paused again, looking back at the human, his eyes shined with an idea. "Hey, maybe you should meet them!" He smiled showing teeth like zippers.

"I don't know... is it like- okay to have a-..." Dib stopped, he didn't know what to call himself now, a slave? No, he wasn't working and cleaning the floor now, was he? No, not a slave. A pet? Maybe, Zim seemed to say that to him. A friend? Well, friends don't bow to each other...

Dib decided to change the sentence, "Is it okay to be yours to them?"

"Of course!" Zim assured him immediately, "The tallest likes me, so they'll like what is mine."

Suddenly they both heard a loud 'THUD' noise, Zim looked at the ceiling, he opened his arms just in time when Gir came falling from the messy wires above, "HI MASTAH!" Gir screamed, holding a pen and paper, "Look what I made!"

Zim rose an antenna, he leaned to take a better look, shifting the robot in his arms, "Dis is Youuu...!" He pointed at the messy doodle of a person with two sticks coming out of his head, "Aaaand this is Mary!" His sharp robotic finger pointing at another doodle, a boy with a stick out of his head, a little smoother than the other. 'Zim' was sitting on 'Mary', what looked like organs were coming out of his torso, 'Zim' was smiling and so was 'Mary' while he ate the boy's insides, the robot giggled, "You're killing him!"

The irken examined the bad made drawing, he let out a 'huh' before looking back at his work, "You're giving me ideas, Gir."

The SIR unit put back the paper in his head and got two new ones, he jumped from his busy Master's arms to the floor then made his way to the confused human, "Do Mary like to draw?" He asked innocently, titling his head.

Dib thought for a second, "Yeah, I do," he smiled slightly.

"WANNA DRAW WITH ME AND PIGGY??"

The boy glanced at Zim, finding him still busy, he decided to go the way Gir wanted, "Sure," he shrugged.

Gir screamed happily, he jumped on the table beside them, put the papers and pen, then opened his head to get a new pen, of course, both red, since Gir ran out of the vortians blue blood. Dib followed, sitting on the chair and leaned to take the paper and pen, noting that he was drawing with blood. His people's blood.

Well, I like that!

'Hm, yeah'

What are you gonna draw?

Dib ignored the question as he gazed at the paper blankly, trying to imagine the person he wanted to draw, with a soft sigh, Dib joined the happy robot to draw.

Maybe red wasn't that bad color, after all, it seemed smoother to draw with. He wasn't that good artist, but he happened to like sketching that one person.

Dib drew a face, eyes, long straight hair, lab coat, and glasses. A smile crossed the woman he drew, a sweet smile that made him stare for a while at his sketch. It wasn't the first time he drew her, but now that he was drawing with red, strangely clean blood, with a robot, in an alien base while the alien had become his Master. After everything that happened after she died, how his life had turned upside down. The change in his father and sister, the way everyone treated him, the place he was supposed to 'cure' him in, his illness...

If she was still alive, how life would be?

'Oh...'

He won't be interested in the paranormal, properly would become a scientist, his sister would be nicer, his classmates would respect him, he won't be sick, he won't have to go in the night to harm himself, he wouldn't have met Zim in the park, he wouldn't have known alien life, his dream to go to the moon would take years to come true.

He wouldn't be the same, not at all.

If his mother was still alive then... he won't be Dib, right? But he won't be the crazy kid too...

The human brushed his thumb over the dry lines, studying her face. It was the same angle he always drew, because it was the only photo that actually showed her features, the only photo he would put aside and trace. He traced it hundreds of times till his mind could draw it with closed eyes.

'I wish I could remember more about her...'

"Who's that?" Came the irken's voice from behind the chair, Dib gasped and turned around, his eyes meeting with the alien's ruby ones. After a moment he sighed softly, glancing down at the red-lined drawing,

"Mom..."

"The Mother-unit? Hm, I see."

Gir looked from his paper to stare at the other, a big smile crossed his face, "Ooooooh! A pretty woman!" He pointed at her, "She has eye-glass too!"

Dib smiled and took the robot in a hug, happy at the small compliment towards his beloved mother, "Thank you, Gir..."

The robot returned the hug immediately, squeezing his cyan eyes shut, "Awww, piggy loves you too!"

Dib glanced at his drawing, seeing how the line art turn brown against the milky white paper, his hands held tighter to the SIR unit, his hands were slightly covered with blood, the pen seemed to be leaking red which made a mess around on the table. After a second he drew back, Gir got the message and screamed, "I'M GONNA MAKE WAFFLES!"

When the robot was out of the room it was then Dib realized that Zim was still behind him, seeming thoughtful, the irken's hands were resting on his shoulders, near his neck. Zim leaned to put his chin on top of the human's head, arms moving closer to Dib's neck, almost cuddling, "Don't humans need sleep to survive?" Zim asked, knowing it was late.

"I usually stay up for a while..." Dib replied, but now that it had crossed his mind, he was tired, today's events were a lot, Dib almost wanted to ask Zim if he could stay when something came to his mind, "But I have to anyway, Dad'll be angry if I skipped school..."

Zim hissed and leaned back, giving his back to the human again. Dib span in his chair to where the irken was standing, "Stupid Father-unit...!" The words came out of gritted teeth, antennae pressed on his head.

Dib thought it would be better to ask before he left the house, just so he won't piss the irken more, "Can I go?" he asked with somewhat respect in his tone.

The irken glared at him from his shoulder, "Say the magic word~" he sang his words, a smug on his lips.

Magic word??

'Master...'

Huh?

"C- Can I go, Master?" Dib looked at him with slight hope, not knowing why he wanted to smile.

Zim took a deep breath, looking almost upset that his 'pet' human would need to leave, "Yes, yes, I give you permission," he waved his hand.

Dib shifted from one leg to the other, remembering just then that his clothes were in the main level with his boots, good, he won't have to go look for them.

Silence fell on them for a moment before Dib stepped closer, taking the murderer alien in his weak arms, an almost tight hug, "Thank you so much for making my dream come true...!"

Zim rose an antenna, not surprised by the hug, not that much, he smirked and leaned his lips to the boy's ears, "You're welcome, Pet."

They both pulled away, Zim went to whatever plan he was making while Dib made it to the main level, seeing his sweater and boots in there, he sighed after wearing them, then got to his feet, his body was tired but he hopped his brain will let him sleep probably tonight.

It should be around 3 in the morning by now...

"BYE BIG HEAD BOY! I LOVES THAT WOMAN WITH GLASS!" Gir screamed behind him as he opened the door, his hands in his pocket, feeling the texture of the folded drawing. Closing the purple odd door, the human made it to the sidewalk.

--

His house came into view, the streets were empty and quiet. He climbed in his window and landed on his bed, the boy was hungry so he decided to sneak into the kitchen, walking on his toes so his scary sister won't hear him.

"You have something to do with it, right?"

Dib flinched and looked behind him, his finger already on the light switch.

"What do you mean?..." he asked Gaz, she wasn't holding her game slave and already looked pissed.

"You know what I mean." Gaz hissed, stepping closer. When Dib gave her a blank, confused stare, she spoke again. "The murdering!"

"Huh-..." Dib swallowed. "W- What?" His words betrayed him, tongue feeling too heavy, he took a few steps back.

"Don't play dumb!" Gaz yelled, she stepped closer, hands into tight grips. "You and your stupid friend are involved in it!"

"Why would you think that??" He asked, gathering his strength, the look on his sister's face was too dark it made him want to jump off a building.

Gaz only hissed and stepped into the kitchen, planing into keeping her brother in there. Her amber eyes glaring behind her purplish bangs.

When his sister didn't respond, he spoke again, "Why would you care, anyway?" His voice was a little low, hissing.

"So it was you."

"I didn't say that."

The table seat crushed as Gaz kicked it away, pushing Dib's shoulders towards the wall, she leaned her face close to his, teeth gritting. "Listen here you little brat, this shit you're doing with your creepy lover has to end!"

"Since when do you care?!" The raven-haired boy asked again, shouting his question. His heart was beating in his chest, forehead already sweating.

"Because I hate him!" She moved her hands to his neck, ignoring the strong chocker he was wearing. "And he hates me! I'm not gonna be some damn killed teen in the woods!"

'She's afraid...'

Hell if I care! She deserves it!

"And you are not going to get the satisfaction from it!" Her dark nails digging in his neck, pushing her body against him, crashing him on the walls.

"Get off!"

"NO!"

"The hell you want me to do?!" Dib screamed back, feeling the air being knocked out of him, her knee was already on his torso, pushing into his empty stomach.

"Oh! I don't know... MAYBE STOP BEING CRAZY YOURSELF!" She let go of his neck to punch his cheek, sending Dib towards the floor, his head hit the side of the wall.

"That's all you're good at doing! You always find a way to ruin everything!" The girl shifted in her other leg, sending another kick on his stomach.

Dib yelped, he hid his face in his arms, too shocked to react.

Do something!

'We're not gonna kill her NOW!'

When?!!

'I-... I dunno!'

You just don't want to in the first place!

The human boy glanced at his sister- should he even call her that...? And wondered... "What did Dad tell you?..." he asked between his gasps of breath, trying to get away from the corner he was in.

"What?" She snapped, also gathering her breath.

"In 10th grade, Dad told you something." He sat on his knees, glaring at Gaz.

The girl rose an eyebrow, then it hit her, her eyes went wide for a moment before narrowing, her expressions became darker. "Dad didn't tell me anything-!"

"STOP LYING!" He screamed, jumping from the ground, already backing away from his angry sibling.

"I'M NOT LYING!" She took a half step back.

"Tsk! You're a bad liar!" Dib fired back, feeling Illness get excited with the action.

"TAKE THAT BACK!" She ran into him, pushing him back at the wall, his head hit it hard.

That's it!

'DON'T KILL HER!'

Illness pushed Gaz as well, a dark smile danced on his lips.

Gaz seemed to notice the change, her eyes went wide as she looked at him from head to toe. Illness stood like an animal, arms stretched out, hands shaking at his sides. The boy's amber eyes were dark, wide, his glasses were almost falling off of his face, though he didn't seem to care.

"Make me!" He grinned at her, showing his shining teeth, he leaned down slightly, feet ready to push forward.

"What the hell?!" Gaz cursed, her neck hair seemed to stand. This was not her brother. "What do you think you're doing?!"

"Accepting your challenge, moron!" Illness laughed, stepping closer.

"DON'T YOU DARE GET CLOSE!"

"Make me~" he repeated slowly in a more feminine tone.

"What is wrong with you?!" Gaz stepped out of the kitchen, not daring to look back even if she fell, her eyes were on the monster before her, trying to hold her ground.

"Funny to hear that face to face." He smirked, now standing straight, hands behind his back, a habit even Illness seemed to mimic from the irken.

"I always say that face to face with you, you fucked up freak. Don't act all too strong, we all know you're just a weak bitch that always cuts." Gaz fired at him, she stopped walking back.

"Aw..." he frowned, "He's not the one cutting."

Gaz didn't reply, she was too focused on what's happening to understand.

"I always wanted to meet you in person, you're so mean to our friend Dib." He smiled.

The girl rose a purple eyebrow, frowning, confused. "...The fuck are you talking about Dib?!-"

"Sorry tell you that but-..." Illness pushed himself forward, his strong grip held into Gaz's throat making her fall on the floor with him on top, his legs held her thighs to the ground. "I'm not Dib."

'Don't kill her!'

Say one more word and I'll make you jump off a damn building for real/

"Now let's play a game..." he said slowly, holding tight at the girl's neck. "It's called: don't get your nose in my business..." his face got closer to her, narrowed amber eyes met with wide, feared ones. "...or I'll be the one to teach you how to walk without legs."

Gaz swallowed, her heart was racing in her chest, she never felt fear as she did now, her eyes were becoming blurry from lack of air, face slightly turning purple.

"Got it?" Illness asked, glaring at her from behind his glasses.

Gaz mumbled her words, not able to breathe, she starts digging her nails in his arms, moving her body and legs, she tried her best to get away. Gaz always was the strong one, she always was the one in control; it was too unexpected for things to change now.

"I'll take that as a yes." Illness hissed, Dib in his head was yelling not to kill his pathetic sister.

You're gonna do it anyway, never forget that.

Illness let go, he wiped his hands on his clothes as if just touched something dirty. "I'll be around more than Dib from now on, so don't think he'll save you again." With those words, the boy made his way upstairs.

Gaz stayed on the floor for a few moments, catching her breath, she couldn't hold her tears any longer as they fell like waterfalls down her cheeks.

Her thighs and neck were sore, body too shocked to move leaving her with her thoughts. They kept buzzing around her head for what felt like hours, only one question she came to ask...

What monster had they created?

--

Up in Dib's room, Illness seemed too stubborn to let go, he closed the door behind him and sat on the bed.

"Annoying bitch." Illness hissed aloud.

'She wasn't like that...'

"Please spare me here!" Illness hissed, he stared at the wall, though he can still see Dib's expressions in 'his' head. "And you remember, there is no turning back."

'...'

"That's right, stay quiet, you're annoying."

'What time is it...?'

"You're not sleeping tonight."

'Why??-'

"Because I said so." Illness pecked up the nearby pen and started 'drawing' on his arm, though he kept digging it deep till some blood actually came out. "That's because you annoyed me."

Dib didn't say anything.

He couldn't anyway.

END OF CHAPTER TEN!

AF: don't worry! This story is not dead and won't be! Mary just had some stuff in her 'beautiful' life and got busy, she also helped me with the other stories.

Mary: SORRY! This story doesn't get that much attention but we'll still continue it! I promise there will be more good plot in the next chapters!
