Chapter 3 - Love That Sparks
In the previous chapter, the female protagonist Helene Porter and Albert Ingalls were started to getting close to each other although a mysterious masked stranger was secretly watching at them, filled with jealousy and resentment. Somehow, she asked him if he wants to stayed in her temporary home on Friday night, in which he happily agree and then they shared their first kiss. But when Albert had already left her place, the mysterious masked stranger had secretly abducted him, claiming that he was truly belongs to hers and hers alone. On the other hand, Charles was started to getting worried for his own foster adopted son's safety.
Will Helene can able to find him? Who is the secret identity of Phantom Lady anyhow? Will Albert can able to confessed to his foster family of what was really happened to him? Will it could be the start of the exact love relationship between the two?

At 10:30 o clock pm, almost strong rain had felled in the entire town. In inside the room, Helene was almost fixing up her things for tomorrow. But somehow a few minutes later, Jeremiah (the mouse) barged into the door, panicking.
" Something wrong, Jer? " turned her head to him
" I guess Mr Ingalls was on the doorstep. He wants to asked you for something. "
" Okay, I'll be right ahead. "
She placed her things on the top of the table and after that, she hurriedly went downstairs and sees Charles was at the doorstep, wearing a rain coat.
" Oh, it was you, Mr Ingalls. Why are you here? "
" Have you seen Albert? He doesn't arrived at home yet. It was almost in a hour already. "
" Uh, he had already left here in my place not long ago before the rain comes. Maybe he was getting lost on the way back to your home. "
She seen his facial expression, looked so very worried.
" I guess something was not quite right.. "
" What do you mean, Mr Ingalls? " with a little curiosity on her face
" Will you might able to help me to find him in every places? Will you? "
" But, it was still strong rain out there.. "
" Just for a moment.. will you? "
Helene, had no other choice but to help. She had already knew that he was very worried for Albert.
" Okay, I will gonna find him in every places. I will make sure that he was safe and sound. "
" Thanks for your great generosity, Miss Helene. "
And so, she gets her own rain coat and a hat.
" Just guard the house, okay? " told to Jeremiah
" I will, Helene. Be careful out there! "
Then, she rode in her own horse carriage and they were split up to searched for Albert. Somehow, the rain stopped and grey skies were appeared out again, very cleary.
3 hours later, they were kept searching for him in every places and spots. Somehow, it was already past early in the morning.
" Albert! Where are you?! Albert! " Helene called out in a loud voice
But in a sudden, she sees him from the farther distance, lying down on the ground, near by the river bank.
" Albert! "
She hurriedly went down to the terrain and she sees him, laying unconscious on the ground.
She leaped from her horse, rushed to his side. But much to her surprise, she sees some bruises on around of his arms, legs and his neck. Even so, his upper clothes was opened.
And then, she hurriedly went back to Charles.
" Mr Ingalls! I had found him. "
" Thank goodness and the.. "
He sees some bruises on his entire body.
" Oh, my gosh.. what are these? where are these bruises come from? "
" I have no idea and not only that, his upper clothes were opened. "
" I guess we should take him to Dr Baker immediately. "
" You got it "
And they went hurriedly went to the clinic.
The news of Albert's secret abduction was reached in the entire Walnut Grove town, in which they were started to getting fear of the Phantom Lady.
Somehow, Carrie and Cassandra went to the restaurant, in which their mother Caroline was there.
" Ma, big trouble! " Carrie shouted
" What is it? " Caroline asked
" It was Albert.. he was in a bad state.. " Carrie answered in response
Caroline was shocked of what she had said. She was hurriedly put her country clothes and went to the clinic.
Also, the news was reached to Laura, was shocked in astonished. Upon hearing the news, she went hurriedly along with her husband Almanzo, in order to see her foster adopted brother's condition.
Back at the clinic, Helene and Charles were waiting. After a few minutes later, Dr Baker came out.
" How was he, Doc? " Charles asked him
" As you can see.. according to what I had checked with.. those bruises and wounds on around of his body... I might be thinking that he was actually.. "
" actually what? "
" actually... your son was actually been.. I hate to say this that.. he was been sexually assaulted. "
Charles was shocked of what he had said.
" sexually assaulted?..! "
" No way.. " Helene uttered
" Yes, he was been sexually assaulted by a mysterious assailant. His bleeding on his private part was so very completely painful. "
Caroline, Laura and Almanzo went in.
" How was Albert? " Caroline asked, with a worried expression on her face
" I'm afraid to say this that.. he was been sexual assaulted by a mysterious stranger. " Dr Baker said in response
" sexual assault?.. "
" Exactly it is " Dr Baker said
" You mean looked like he was been raped, Doctor? " Laura asked
" Of course "
" Can we able to see him inside? " Charles asked
" Yes, of course. He was regained consciousness a few minutes ago but he was in the state of paranoia and traumatic condition. "
All of them went in the clinic room.
Charles stepped in first, seeing his facial expression, was very frightening in fear.
He tapped his hand on his forehead, said " Son.. "
" Oh, it was you, Pa.. "
" How was your feeling? " Caroline asked
" I'm okay, Ma. But a little bit painful indeed.. " Albert said, felt a little bit pain on his body
" We are so very worried about you. The whole townsfolk were started to getting feared of what happened to you. " Caroline said
" Luckily that Miss Helene found you unconscious, near by the river bank. " Charles said to him
" It was? "
Helene, went slowly approached to him, and said " Yes, of course, Albert. I guess you were almost ended up in a brink of death. "
" I see about it.. but.. Ma, Pa.. and Sis.. "
" Yeah, I guess Dr Baker had already tell about of what really happened.. you were been sexually assaulted, isn't it? " Charles said
" Hold on, who had been sexual assaulted you, Albert? " Laura asked
" Well actually.. it was.. " and that very moment, he was started to cried with emotions and after a few seconds, he continues " it was.. a mysterious stranged woman.. wears a mask... she was the responsible for raping me.. "
" Wait.. are you referring to the Phantom Lady, isn't it? But I thought it was just only a rumor. " Laura asked, with a shocking expression on her face
" No, it wasn't. She was dressed in black.. even her mask.. looked like black and white.. and her voice.. was so very harsh and seductive.. she said to me some of those words that I had don't really understand.. "
" You mean like a different language? "
"... yeah.. even that.. when she was started to assaulted me.. I was started to getting frightened.. I had tried to fight back but I can't.. I'm too very defenseless.. I think.. I couldn't forget about of what happened.. it was a terrible nightmare.. " and he cried again
Then, Charles walks out.
" Where are you going? " Caroline asked
" To do a manhunt operation.. to searched for that masked suspect.. "
" Pa, are you really sure? Tracking down a masked stranger was not very easy. " Laura asked
" I will never forgive that man eater who did this to my own son. She will gonna paid for this. "
" Charles.. " Caroline uttered
And he left the clinic.
Caroline, went to Albert, still crying, hugging him, tapped her hand on his head " It was alright, Albert. It was alright. "
" I'm getting scared, Ma.. I don't really know of what should I do next.. I'm getting scared.. "
" I know " still tapped her hand on his head
Helene, was started to getting sympathize towards to Albert for the very first time.
" Um, Mrs Ingalls. "
" Yeah, what is it, Miss Porter? "
" Can I asked you for a favor? "
" and what is that? "
" Can I gonna take care of Albert at my temporary home just for one week? "
" Why not? "
" I just knew that all of you were getting busy in your works everyday. And besides that I'm a good skilled caretaker. "
" Are you really sure about that, Helene my friend? " Laura asked her
" No need to be worry about it. As long as Albert was stayed safe in my own house, the mysterious masked stranger will never find him. I will do everything I can to protect and to take care of him. I'll promise. "
Laura, had realized on her mind that Helene was secretly in love to Albert.
Caroline, nodded her head a little and said to her " Well, if that was your choice and then it was fine with me. "
" Really, Mrs Ingalls? "
" Of course but you have to asked my husband Charles first for a permission. "
" I will "
" Well, that was okay with me, Helene. " Laura said to her
" Do you really think so? "
" Of course, but please.. take care of him safely. "
" I will, Laura. I will gonna do everything I can for him. "
Laura smiles of what she had said.
On the other hand, Charles and the male townsfolks were started to having a manhunt operation to tracked the Phantom Lady. But somehow, their search was not very easy. Almost afternoon, they were decided to continued by tomorrow morning.
The next day in early in the morning, Helene went to the house, asked permission from Charles to let her to take care of Albert in her temporary home in which he agreed but he told her in one condition
" Just make sure that you will gonna watched at him at all the times, okay? "
" I will, Mr Ingalls. "
And so, she lend him up to the carriage.
" Just be careful in there. " Caroline told him
" I will, Ma. " Albert said
" Don't you worry, we will be fine. " Carrie said to him
" Be careful, Brother. " James said
" Just make sure that she will gonna comfort you. " Cassandra said, with a slight romantic laughter
" Sis! " Albert protested
" Just make sure that you will brought him back after one week. " Charles told Helene
" I will, Mr Ingalls. " Helene said in response
And they were left the place. While they were not reached to their destination yet, Helene sees Albert, blushed in red on his face.
" Something wrong? "
" No, not at all, Helene. "
" Why are you blushing just like that? Feeling nervous? "
" Just slight. This is my first time that I will gonna stayed in a lady's house. "
" Oh, you really think so.. "
She touched the tip of his hair through her index finger.
" You know what.. "
" Yeah? "
" I know it was very ridiculous to say that.. I love you, Albert.. "
He was surprised of what she had said to him.
" You loved me? "
" Yes, it was, Albert. "
He nodded his head, with a little anxious on his face.
" Is there's something wrong? "
" Well, uh.. I don't really think that Pa will gonna assured that.. that you and I were in a secret love relationship. "
" I know it was very obvious that I was in secretly in love to you. Do you think your dad will know about our secret relationship? "
" Huh, why not? "
" I'm not quite so sure that.. I was felled in love to you.. even though you are my student and I'm your school teacher.. very obvious, isn't it? "
" No, it wasn't that. "
" It does? "
" I don't think Pa will never disappointed to that. He was been well kinded and compassionate. After all, he was more like me when he was very young kid. Besides, age and status doesn't matter to it as long you have your own freedom will... just like Laura and Almanzo.. and even my other foster adopted sister Mary and her husband Adam.. they having their own free will.. to be felled in love and getting married in the future. "
" Albert.. "
The two were looking at each other, in a romantic manner.
" I love you too, Helene. " and he kissed her on the face, in which she blushed in red
The two were holding hands together and the carriage was finally reached to her temporary home.
She lead him to the other room upstairs. But somehow, Mandy asked her " Are you really sure of what you are doing with? "
" Don't need to be worry about it. I had made a promise to his father to keep him safe. "
" Oh, I see.. "
And she leads him to the other room.
On the other hand at the farther distance from Walnut Grove town, a mysterious carriage was arrived in on the way to the town. At the front seat, a mysterious woman, wears a different clothes and wearing a hat on her head, had seen the entire view of the entire town.
She raised up her hat, said in a low tone voice manner, with amusement " So.. this is the town of Walnut Grove, huh? Very splendid.. "
As Albert was the next target of the Phantom Lady, Helene was decided to take care of him at her own temporary home, to make sure that he was safe from harm and evil clutches of the Phantom Lady. Their secret love relationship were started to getting closer and closer. But somehow, a mysterious woman was arriving at Walnut Grove.
Who was the mysterious woman was? Could she be the person who have the same resemblance as the Phantom Lady? What will be the role in the lives of Helene and Albert?
