DIO sat outside the window of a high school, his umbrella shading him from the sun. He watched as an extremely short high schooler walked out of his classroom with his head down, his short black hair covering his face. He was angry about something, but DIO hadn't heard nor cared to listen for what was upsetting him. He only cared about one thing, this boy was a stand user.

His name was apparently "Hazamada", according to his new biker ally Yuya. Yuya had informed him of every stand user in town that he knew of and their abilities. It had been about a week since DIO had embedded a flesh bud in Yuya's forehead...

...He smiled as he thought about that day, he was very glad he could still use his vampiric powers… although, it's not like he used them much after his 100 years in the sea. He paused for a moment, he realized hadn't used his powers at all after he got to the World.

He would have to rectify that in the future.

He looked and saw Hazamada walking into a classroom, where Josuke and his friends sat. He frowned at the thought of the boy, his mere existence was a stain on Jonathan's honor. Jonathan was a gentleman, he would NEVER consider cheating on his wife. Yet, only a generation or two later, Joseph was soiling his grandfather's name. He shook his head and watched silently.

He would enjoy killing Josuke.

Hazamada slinked over to the tables where Josuke, Koichi, and Okuyasu were sitting. The three looked up from their meals and saw him, but none of them smiled. He had tried to find seats at every table in the school so far but nobody wanted him to sit with them. He stood in front of the table, holding his lunch. "Room for one more?" He said, holding up his bag. The three looked at each other, entirely silent. Hazamada could've sworn he saw a comedic sweat drop drip off of each of their faces like in a manga.

Josuke coughed and shoved Koichi, who sighed and stood up. "Sorry. Uh… Seat's taken!" He said nervously, in a way that made it obvious he was lying.

"By who?" Hazamada narrowed his eyes.

Koichi's eyes widened and he began to stutter. "Uh.. uh…" He looked behind Hazamada and saw some random new student who had no seat. "Him!" He pointed at the student and Hazamada turned around.

Okuyasu and Josuke immediately jumped into action, grabbing the thoroughly confused student and dragging him over to the table, pretending to be friends with him.

Hazamada scoffed and walked away, as he left he heard the new student say something along the lines of "Wow, everyone in this school is so friendly!" He stomped away, his face down. Of course, no one wanted to have lunch with him, he thought. They never did.

He scowled and turned into an empty windowless hall, he would just have to eat in whatever classroom is empty.

Suddenly, the lights went out and the hall was pitch black, only lit by the lights behind him that were still on. Hazamada froze, he felt eyes boring into him, coming from the end of the hall. He jumped as he felt a hand clasp on his shoulders and hold him firmly. He could only turn his head to look, and he saw one of the stand users that had helped Josuke when everyone was trying to find that serial killer that was in town… how long ago was that? Weeks? A month? Anyways, something about the biker seemed off.

He didn't seem entirely… present. Eerily, the way he stood reminded Hazamada a little of people controlled by his stand. He gulped and looked at Yuya's face. His eyes looked off into the distance of the hallway. Hazamada followed the biker's gaze. There, at the end of the hall, he could just barely make out a figure in the darkness...

...This figure was approaching him.

Hazamada's heart caught in his throat. This certainly wasn't good. He began to thrash and struggle against the strong grip of the biker, but he couldn't break free. If only he hadn't left Surface back in the locker room!

"Now, now, calm down, no need to have a panic attack," The approaching figure commanded.

Hazamada stopped moving, staring the man in the eyes. He could fully see him now, the man had brown hair and unnatural-looking orange-red eyes… and what looked like fangs.

DIO laughed. "There we are," He said calmly, holding his arms to his side as he stood directly in front of the terrified high-schooler. "I mean you no harm… yet."

Hazamada couldn't seem to catch his breath because of how scared he was. There was something about this guy that was entirely off, something that made his heartbeat practically stop when he would look at him. He jerked his face away as the man leaned toward him.

DIO grabbed the boy's face and turned it back toward him. "Don't be rude, I only want to make you an offer." He stared Hazamada in the eyes as he said this. "Are you willing to hear me out?"

Hazamada stared at the man, shaking- well, as much as he could while being held by the two. "S-sure! Just don't kill me!" He replied.

DIO laughed at this, releasing his hold on Hazamada's head. "Yuya, be a bit more gentle to our friend." He ordered, brushing a piece of hair out of Hazamada's face.

Yuya lightened his grip on Hazamada, but Hazamada didn't try to run away. Something in him made him want to listen to what the man had to say.

"You see, I require… allies." DIO started, moving his hands as he talked. "I've got some dangerous people wishing me harm."

Hazamada gulped. "Like… stand users?" He quietly asked. He didn't want another Kira situation, that's for sure!

DIO nodded and clapped sarcastically, his metal hand creating a strange sound as he did so. "Spot on." He laughed, "I believe you can help me with that… and in return for your loyalty to me…" He smirked, and pulled some photos out of his pockets, and held them in front of the high-schooler, turning to the side as he did so. "These women will be entirely willing to… reward you."

Hazamada stared at the photos. The women in the pictures were gorgeous! And all he'd have to do to get to be with them-

...Is fighting stand users.

His mouth went dry. "W-what if I say no?" He asked as he looked up from the photos.

DIO turned to face Hazamada. "Well, it's simple really." His eyes seemed to glow in the dimly lit hall as he smiled at the terrified boy. "I'll kill you right here and now."

Well, he couldn't NOT accept now! His life was on the line! "...Who exactly are the "dangerous people"?" He asked, hoping that the answer wasn't going to be what he thought it would be.

"The Joestar family and friends." DIO replied, "Do you accept?"

Hazamada's heart sank. That's exactly what he didn't want to hear.

...But would he rather fight this guy right now? Absolutely not.

Plus, the women were a nice bonus...

His eyes lit up as he realized something. He could just agree now and then go tell Josuke about this guy whenever it's safe! Genius!

A small smile came onto Hazamada's face.

"I… accept." He said, somewhat confidently. He watched as the man's hair began to sway in some invisible wind. Yuya quickly grabbed his head and held him still.

He pulled and jerked but couldn't get out of this strange head grab.

A long strand of hair shot out and hit Hazamada in the forehead as he struggled against Yuya's grip. "Was this his stand?" Hazamada thought as his vision began to fade, "Did I ever even have a choice?"

As he fully lost control, he heard the man's voice close to his face.

"I look forward to working together, Hazamada."
