Chapter 11-Long Nights
Hermione stayed in her room reading her mother's diary. She was an incredibly talented witch. She had her own spells that she had been developing. Hermione wanted to try them, but she needed to do safely. She might ask the twins where and how they work on their new products. She was getting tired and after a day like this she was more then ready for bed. She went to sleep unknown how to handle everything.
Severus was reeling. He apparated to Malfoy Manor and was lucky he didn't splinch himself. Snape walked up to the door without even a thought of announcing himself. Lucius meet him in the entrance way wand level with his head. "Damn it, Severus," Lucius snapped lowering his wand, "Why didn't you let us know you were coming?"
"Shit," Severus snapped out, "I was deep in thought and forgot."
Lucius shook his head then Bellatrix stepped out of the hallway sneering at the two. "What's wrong Severus can't handle your other master any longer?" Bellatrix sneered.
"Shut up Bella," Lucius growled.
Lucius then slapped Severus on the back and guided him to the study. Lucius and his friend had been friends forever and the older man could tell that something was really bothering him. Lucius sat Severus down in a chair then made them both a fire whiskey to talk about what ever was going on. "What did the band of chickens want Severus?" Voldemort said from behind a desk.
Severus didn't even notice him. He needed to stop dreaming and not get himself killed. "My lord I'm not sure it was them sir," Severus groveled, "It seems that Potter's Mudblood friend's parents were killed today. They house was set on fire by a curse."
"What?" Voldemort yelled seemingly shocked at hearing that, "That was not what I wanted."
"My lord, I'm sure someone just was taking the initiative," Bella bowed in the doorway.
"Crucio," Voldemort snapped cursing the wild hair brunette, "I do not need you all doing things without my order Bellatrix. I have a plan for everything."
Bellatrix slowly recovered from the floor. "Of course, My Lord," Bellatrix said.
"Leave us now," Voldemort said.
Bellatrix left and Lucius waved his wand shutting the door and warding it. "Now tell me what you know, Severus," Voldemort demanded.
Severus told him about the letter Hermione got and the conversation at the table. "That's all I know, my lord," he said.
"I see," Voldemort said, "I need both of you to start looking into this. Find out which of my followers didn't follow my order."
"Yes, my lord," Lucius said, and Severus nodded.
"Well I'm going," Voldemort said, "Don't enjoy the whiskey too much. Failing me in your mission isn't going to keep me happy."
Voldemort left leaving the two old friends. "What is really your issue?" Lucius asked.
"I have some news about Diana," Severus said making Lucius sit up taller.
"What did you find out?" Lucius said now hanging on every word.
Severus started retelling everything Hermione told him. When Severus told him about Bellatrix, he had to forcible stop Lucius from going upstairs and killing her. Lucius never like Bellatrix but dealt with her because of the love he held for his wife. Severus continued and told him about his niece. Lucius smiled at that. "I have a niece," Lucius said.
Severus nodded and continued but knew he wasn't being listening any longer. Lucius had always wanted more children but Narcissa was unable to have more children. "Does she want to meet me?" He asked ignoring Severus.
"Yes, she does," Severus said, "But you might not be ready for who she is. I haven't released her identity."
Lucius didn't care and he said so. Still Severus made his old friend sweat for a while then told him about Hermione. To say Lucius was shocked was an understatement. "She is going to hate me," Lucius said as he realized what that meant for his family.
"No, she doesn't," Severus enlightened, "She is actually open. Things are changing for our young Gryffindor and I do have to say it might be toward our side."
"Really," Lucius said shocked that the girl was interested especially with how he had treated her in the past.
The two men sat there talking about a way to get to Hermione. Lucius really wanted to meet her, and Severus had to admit she may need him in the future with how things were rumbling in the order. It was only a matter of time until the order turned on Hermione. Severus has witnessed it in the past many times.
Across the country Hermione was fast asleep when her door busted open and two teenagers came hovering over her bed. Instead of using magic they used their fist. Hermione was started with pain and blow after blow. She screamed as loud as she could then they blow stopped and the two teens were hanging in the air. Hermione opened her eyes and saw Sirius and the Weasleys at her door. In her room were Ginny and Ron hanging in midair. Hermione's eyes narrowed at the sight of them. She left her bed feeling the pain the two inflicted on her body. Hermione's eyes were blazing. "How dare you come in here and attack me!" Hermione shouted menacing.
"Now Hermione," Sirius started.
"Don't start with me," Hermione snapped, "Do you think it is alright to attack people while they are sleeping? Oh, wait you do, don't you?"
Sirius was surprised she just legitimized him without even meaning too seeing the times the Marauders attacked Snape. Hermione turned back to the two. "I have the perfect idea," Hermione seethed.
Next thing any of them know the two students would turn into chickens and into a cage. She then sent the cage into Molly's arms. "Hermione turn them back, right now," Molly demanded.
"No," Hermione said, "You all haven't helped me with them since my growth. Then they were cowards and attacked a sleeping innocent just because they wanted too. Well I have turned them into chicken because I wanted too. If you want them back, you turned them back. I will only do it when I feel they have been punished enough. Now all of you leave."
Hermione sent everyone out of the doorway and made sure no one could come in again. They did try but Hermione just sat huddled in the middle of the bed clutching a pillow making sure no one got to her again tonight.
