the morning sun rising to the sky once more, the rays of sunshine flooding onto the earth like a slow cover. In some sort of this canyon, slowly waking up from their slumber. The scarf that he bunched up for a makeshift pillow was slowly bunched with all of his movement.

Evan slowly woke up with the sudden heatwave that overtaken the cave. Slowly opening his eyes he found that the light lit some part of the cave that he was in. So this made him slowly take up from his slumber, getting up from the floor he looked around for a few seconds

Everything seemed as normal as he left it, but again. Today was the big day, going to this "Ninth city". Sure it would take a day or so. But at least he'll meet people who aren't slaves or anything. But that wasn't the only problem, from all those nights sleeping on the ground. His back, oh dear lord did it hurt.

So, Evan stood up and cracked his back with a few stretches. Those nice loud "Pops" was good to hear a little. Now, it was time to get going. First, he put on his scarf around his face, wrapping it around, he made sure to not cover his eyes. He would tie it to make sure it wouldn't come off during his sand riding

"Good morning gaia, today is another day of traveling"

Gaia: "Dear child, I think we should use your "Bike" to get through this terrain. There is very little sand, plus with all the rocks you would be hurt"

"Alright then, bike it is" Evan would walk over to the crystal lamp, he turned it off to save energy. He walked over to his bike basket to put it in, then he would walk over to the bag. Inside was a map and the water pale, he opened it a little and drank only a little

That was the last of his water, he could survive for about 3 days. Let's hope his energy is at 110%. Then he put the bag into the bike basket, with everything in the basket. He would walk his bike out into the light once more. He noticed that the canyon was orange in color mostly, so large but side enough to get a wagon through some of the less rocky places.

Stretching out his arm, he would get onto his bike and just started to pedal. Riding his bike through the canyon, he just looked around the rocks. Making sure no one or no thing was hiding behind the rocks. But it was mostly a quiet ride, whenever he spoke there was this sort of echo.

Sure it was creepy, but nothing that would make him fear for his life. But while he was riding through this canyon, he saw something interesting. What he saw, were these huge wolves running and jumping over rocks to go somewhere. Evan didn't move an inch, they didn't notice him at first which was a good thing. But Evan didn't know where they were actually going, which he didn't want to know at all. Maybe hunting or something, but what were they hunting? Or were they just moving around in a patrol?

"Hey, Gaia. Can you explain what those things are, they look pretty cool" Evan would just bike in the opposite direction of where the wolves were running towards. But from his shoulder, he would see gaia appear and speak

Gaia: "Those were "Ligers", large wolves that live here in kararagi. They travel in packs and are very territorial. Be careful around them ok"

"Oh don't worry gaia, there is no way I am going near them...oh wait...if they are running around here. That means that this is there….oh fuck we need to get out of here"

Evan started to pedal faster and faster to find his way out of here. But with all the rocks littering the ground, he would sometimes need to go on foot. He didn't want his tires to pop, if that happened he'll always need to walk or use that surf spell. He didn't want to tire out Gaia that much.

"Hey, Gaia. Let's say that I contract another spirit, like a water spirit. Would you get sort of mad"

Gaia: "Of course not, but if you started to give all of your attention to the spirit I would get a little mad"

"Noted indeed, if we're going to survive. We'll need to get more friends. The most basic elements. I got you, gaia so that's earth. So Water, fire, Air. Maybe Air first, I can fly or something"

Gaia: "Remember Dear child, having more spirits means you need to balance them out, but if you do balance them out you'll be powerful"

"Well, with how things are going right now. I think we should at least get some more spirit on our team right. You can never be too sure right"

Gaia: "Whatever keeps you safe dear child ok. But let's find a good spot to talk to then"

Walking around, Evan found this nice spot to talk to the spirits. It was near a cliff, the rocks made a path towards it like if a river uses to run through here. But once Evan found a great spot, he sat down and crossed his legs.

When he closed his eyes, he calmed himself slowly. It was just like last time, he just needed to get out the negative emotions. Fear, pain, hunger, and death. Some of the most negative emotions going through his mind. Gaia, appeared next to Evan as he calmed down. Flying the area, gaia was trying to call over any spirits that would help her contractor survive.

Evan sat there for a minute, just waiting for any spirits to come by. While he was waiting, even if his eyes were closed. Seeing multiple little lights fly around him, they're mostly white lights so.
Then he heard them talk, talking about random things. But then Evan asked a question

"Oh spirits, if there any of you who would like to form a contract with me"

"With me?"
"No me"

"I can't"
"None of us"
"Don't know"

Hearing them all say that, Evan would be a little sad from their answer. But he opened his eyes to see the little white lights in front of him. There were a lot of them, from what he could just guess was about 12 or more. They were all talking, Gai would fly around the white spirit.

While they were talking among themselves, he noticed how it started to get windy for some reason. It was a light breeze at first, then it started to make the little sand move around. After a few seconds, some gust of wind would blind Evan for a few seconds... then he saw a glow of green light. Right in front of him, was a spirit moving around Evan like a house in a hurricane.

?: "Woah, this one is cool, your not one of those cloaked ones. What are you doing out here" The spirit would talk in fast motion, being almost incomprehensible

"Woah, Woah, Woah. Calm down with the questions. Look, I just got lost in the desert and I'm heading towards the [Ninth city]. Also, what do you mean...cloaked one?"

?: "The cloaked ones who come over here to fight and sometimes take ligers. They also come here for training sometimes"

"Wait, are their people are here right now? Please tell me there are people here right now?"

?: "Yeah, I saw some people near here. They were that way" The green spirit would fly over to the direction where he came from

Evan got up and followed when he saw that they were the way he came from. Then he would remember something. Those pack of ligers was patrolling the canyon, where their people trying to do something to the ligers maybe

"Thank you for the information, actually I was looking for the wind spirit. You mind if we form a contract?"

?: "Of course, why do you think I came here in the first place"

"Oh that's good for me at least, so what are the terms for the contract?"

?: "First off: Don't treat me like some tool, I wanna be like a brother.

Second: I want to travel fast and have fun got it

"Oh!, I think I can fulfill all of those terms. So it's a pleasure to meet you"

As both agreed to this contract, the spirit started to glow brightly. Evan himself felt something "connect" to him, he didn't know what it was but it made him feel powerful.

"Alright, new guys. What name should I give you…gaia is earth...what is sky…come on think. Oh right! Uranus. How do you like that name?"

?: "Nah, sounds weird. How about kairos, that sounds like a good name"

"Kairos, yeah that sounds badass. Gaia, it seems he has a new friend"

Gaia: "It's is a pleasure to meet you Karios. I am Gaia an earth spirit

Karios: "Nice to meet you as all Gaia, I'm a wind spirit. Happy to be aboard"

"Now I have two voices in my head, man my adventure is getting crazier and crazier"

Getting on top of his bike, he would start pedaling towards were the wolves that he saw not too long ago. He didn't waste any time on this, riding his bikes through the rocks making sharp turns through the rocks.

While he was riding his bike, there was a loud echo of a bellowing howl. The howl moved through the canyon-like a title wave of water. Then there was another, then another. From what he heard there were about three of those howls. Evan needed to pick up the pace

"Hey, Kairos. What is a spell that you can just tell me what to say, like the word"

Karios: "I think it was …" Fura". Yeah its fura"

"Gaia, Karios. This might turn into a fight, so just make sure you both are ready got it"

Gaia: "Be careful Dear child"

Kairos: "Let's hope we get there fast enough"

As they were getting closer and closer to their location, Evan started to hear people yelling at each other. Their voices sounded like they were in trouble, but their voices were drowned out by howling the ligers came for their location.

After a time of riding his bike, he was now above what was going on. Down below; four people were fighting for something. They were all wearing cloaks, mostly of white color with strips of orange. Two were in front were fighting off ligers, one was preparing magic, the last one was holding something in their arms

From what he heard from the howling, about 5 ligers were standing almost around them all. All of them baring their teeth preparing to attack all at once. Evan seeing it above it all, needed to think about what he was going to do.

"Kairos, do you think with a wind spell, I could jump off and save myself"

Kairos: "If you do a powerful enough Fura or even a...what is it called...it started with an E or something "

"El?"

Kairos: "Yes that, with an El fura you could survive a fall like that. But fire it when you almost close to the ground"

"Superhero Landing...oh this is gonna be fun"

Kairos: "Hey what's a superher-"

While Karios was right at the last part of his sentence, Evan worked up the Gaul to run up and jump off. This was about a three-story drop, so he needed to time this correctly. As he was falling, with the help of Karios. In his hand, wind all around him would form into a sort of ball. Once he thought he was close enough, he would release the spell

"El Fura!" As the spell fired from his hand and towards the ground, he was going to land to the right from the ligers and the cloaked people. As the spell flew forward, it would impact the ground making this up to the current of air. As evan was close to the ground when it impacted, the updraft of air would slow his fall and put him up a little.

As he was pushed up a little, he fell again in which he landed on his feet. He wobbled a little but he gained his footing. His Cloak was flowing in the air from the spell, his hand was on his sword.
The scarf covered up his face so they didn't know who he was. Both of the groups looked at him with confusion.

"I'm so fucking cool, stuck the landing and acted cool. I'm like an actual anime protag. Let's get it rolling"

"Dona!" Raising his foot and them slamming it down onto the ground, he would summon a pillar into a liger's stomach, the liger was stuck on the pillar he made. As he cast the spell, two ligers would run towards the two other people.

The liger charing at one of them going in for a swing from their claws, the person would dodge to the right. The person would raise a sword and tried to scare it off with it. The liger would jump back a little, the other Liger attacking the second frontmen. Unlike the other liger, this one would jump onto them and pin them down to the ground. The liger was biting on the person's arm as he tried to defend himself.

"Dona!" Evan, casting another dona spell. To the person getting pinned down by the liger, a stone pillar would exit the ground at an angle to knock the liger into a wall. The force from the piller did make the liger get off from him. Being distracted, the liger that was hit by his first dona would charge towards Evan. He didn't have time to react to the liger, but another person would cast a spell

?: "El Huma" As the spell was spoken, multiple ice spikes would hit the ground in front of the liger charging at him. The liger would stop for a few seconds as it saw the ice spears, leaving Evan to get the upper hand

Putting his hand up, he didn't want to kill the liger. So he would power down this Fura spell to only push this liger back

"Fura" Kairos appearing in front of his hand, shot out a powerful gust of wind to push the liger back with the others.

The four ligers would all back up from the group, they were outnumbered and underpowered. So all of the ligers would all growl loudly. They would run away to go hide somewhere.

After a few seconds of fighting ligers, everyone would be taking a breather slowly. Evan himself would see that he did a good job today, saved people and stuff. Got a new friend, very good work

?: "Alright, who the hell are ya?" One of them wearing a hood, Evan couldn't see this person's face, but just from the voice alone, he can tell it's male of course. The person was holding an actual straight sword, it was pointed at him

Evan would put his hand on the handle of his sword, he didn't want to fight the first people who didn't try to sell him off. But while they looked each other down, one of the others would walk next to the guy with the sword. And patted his back

?: "Oi, no need to get all frisky. He saved us after all, might as well thank him right" This one was female, but the voice would remind him of those old cowboys movies. It was strange but also kind of funny

Evan would put his hand up as he would just signal them that he is good. But he put a finger as he would use a dona spell to get back from where he jumped from. He needed to get the bike of course with all of his stuff. When he did, he used the dona spell again to move the piller down to the ground.

As they all saw him bring down some sort of...thing. It looked interesting at least, the one who was defending the one carrying the thing in his hands walked up to look at the strange machine

?: "Woah mister! That's a cool thing you got there...was does it do?"

"It's like a wagon, smaller but you have to make it move with your feet"

Evan would talk to this one, the one who asked the question seemed young or maybe just had a young voice. All of them would notice Evan's voice as well. It seems all of them were around the same age or something

"I think we should all get moving, you never know if those ligers will get more"

?: "Agreed, were fixin' to move out anyway. Let's go people"

As the group would all nod, they would all start running towards somewhere, Evan didn't want to be left behind, so he just followed them. The person who pointed the sword as Evan would look behind him to see the man following them

?: "why ya following us? we don't need ya help anymore so bug off"

"I am not going to lie, I have been lost for days in the desert and you guys are the only way out. So I am gonna follow you guys and help you as well"

As the man was running with the group, both of them behind the main group, he gave him a look for a few seconds. Then he looked in front of him again as he kept running

?: "Fine, but if ya mess with any of us. You're gonna get it ya hear you varmint"

"Deal, let's keep moving"

As they were all running, they would hear another howl echo through the canyon. The man next to Evan, while they were running, would tell them all to pick up the pace. He didn't want to look behind him, it was all too clear on what was following the group. Ligers.

The group would make their way through the canyon, running over rocks and making sharp turns. As they made it to the home stretch, in front of them was some sort of group of wagons. With a bunch of other people waving at them to get over here.

It seems they were waiting for them to get there, the ligers casing them would all close in as Evan was behind all of them. As Evan was running as fast as he can, with the lack of actual food and water he tired out faster than them. He didn't have an actual plan for this, but he might as well improvise right.

As they were running towards the group of wagons, Evan would spread his arm out as he was just casting El Dona on rocks he tapped while running

"El Dona,El Dona,El Dona,El Dona,El Dona-"

Tapping the rocks and saying the spell name, the rocks that he passed by would just turn into ticking time bombs. He touched almost 12 large rocks or something, he wasn't keeping track of them. The rocks under the effect of the spell would all explode and send shards of rock in their location

With the exploding rocks, the wolves would all stop in their tracks. Meaning they all escaped to the wagons. When all of them got into the safe zone, for now, the people near the wagons, Evan saw about over 10 of them. They all held up their weapons towards Evan wondering who he was

?: "Oi, he's with us. He saved us from some ligers who were about to eat us up like rice balls"

The guy would walk in front of Evan trying to defend their new ally, but while they were all talking. A large person would walk forward, with his presence alone all of the people would lower their weapons.

This large was a demi-human, looked like a wolf as well, his fur was brown all over his body, but with the main body being a darker shade of brown. He stood taller than Evan by a large margin almost towering over him, he couldn't tell. On his back was a gigantic weapon, no hilt, only just the handle. On his right shoulder was some sort of shoulder pad, on it was some sort of insignia. Evan knew who this man was, no doubt about it. Standing right in front of him was: [Ricardo Welkins]

Ricardo: "Everyone calm down for a second. if this new guy helped out new trainees. Then we should trust him at least right?"

Ricardos' voice was loud, but yet optimistic. With a toothy grin on his face, he walked up to evan towering over him. But Ricardo looked at this person for a second as he would pat him on the shoulder

Ricardo: "Thanks for helping our guys, we appreciated it ya know"

Evan decided it was best to let Ricardo do this thing, Evan didn't mind it. He was happy enough to meet friendly people, after all, Evan under his scarf would smile, then he started to feel a little tired….very tired. Maybe that run did give him a tough work out

"Yeah...no...promblem" From the lack of water, fighting, and magic. Evan was dead exhausted from everything, but he was happy to meet people. So Evan would just let himself fall to the ground in front of Ricardo.

Ricardo: "OI! Kid! You are ok! You with me! Get the healers over here! He might be hurt or something"

The last thing he heard some someone running over and looking over him, under his scarf he would just smile still. Evan was finally done with being alone, sure the spirits helped. But seeing people just made him complete. The past few days were just walking through the sand and nothing else. There were a few altercations but he made it through it all, no matter as all. His bike stood up still, but he would just leave it. They would take it just in case, right?

It didn't matter, Evan was just tired of this new world. But with the spirit helping him and saving his ass all the time. Now with his news "Friends", he might actually get somewhere in this world….maybe.
