(A/N) So at the time of writing this i've just uploaded chapter four and as such have no idea a to how popular it will be, here's hoping it will be a rousing success, and if there are typos and grammatical errors, I apologize, i don't have a grammar nazi…. I mean a beta reader, and while I probably need one, I don't upload often enough to need one i don't believe.

I'm still looking for a way to write that works for me, so I'm going to be trying something new yet again, and I believe that unless I work on a chapter for a week or so, shorter chapters are the way to go, let me know how you feel about that. Give me a size reference, do you guys like longer or shorter chapters

Normally this is where my obligatory disclaimer would go but as we can all probably tell, I'm neither creative enough nor punctual enough to own anything even remotely related to the production of the series, and as such unless there are complaints I'll likely ignore the obligatory disclaimer and simply leave my author's notes. So without further ado, lets get on with the story!

The bus stopped in front of capsule corps and the students piled off, glancing around at the sprawling grounds with wide eyes, taking in the massive grounds and all of the various dome shaped buildings sprawled around the grounds behind the walls. Various employees roamed the grounds, passing between buildings their lab coats with small badges discerning their various departments in the company.

A familiar face awaited them, Vegeta stood at the front door awaiting his tenants for the week, "Welcome to Capsule Corps." He scowled out over the crowd, his arms crossed across his chest, his normal blue spandex shirt straining to contain his muscles. "As you are all aware, I'm Coach Vegeta and I'll be seeing you all this week at some point, So your training will not slack off." He turned on his heel and entered the main building, his white boots snapping smartly on the bright white tile, "Follow me." He barked over his shoulder.

Stepping to the side Videl nudged Gohan, "What crawled up his butt and died?" She asked her eyes not leaving the retreating back of their muscle bound gym teacher, Gohan shrugged and keeping one eye on the saiyan prince he turned his head towards her slightly, "He's not a people person." He glanced at her, "Not even at the best of times and we're basically invading his home." She nodded and followed behind their teacher.

The class trudged down the main hall towards the kitchen, their heads on swivels taking in all the opulence of the hall, pictures and famous paintings adorning the walls with seemingly reckless abandon. Closing in on their destination Gohan sensed some familiar ki's and an unfamiliar ki. Mirai walked out of the door and gave Gohan a smile, "Long time no see Gohan." Gohan nodded and replied "Sure has Mirai, you look older." Mirai wasn't the twenty something he remembered from his youth, he was a grown man of at least thirty.

"Not everyone ages as gracefully as my sister…" He rolled his eyes and seeing Gohan's eyebrow quirking almost imperceptibly, he used sign language to spell out later with one hand faster than the human eye could follow at his hip and got an equally imperceptible nod in response, "So since it's been a while you should know I've basically adopted."

Gohan followed his him through the door, "Oh?" He asked, "Did you bring them with you?" Mirai nodded, and tilted his head towards an occupied table, where a young girl was sitting, probably about fourteen years old. "Panny, come here, I want you to meet someone." A muffled response was all he got as the child continued to devour her meal at the same inhuman speed as any other saiyan. "Pan Briefs, first and final warning." His voice promised a painful discussion later if she ignored him.

A single wave of her gloved hand over her shoulder was the response, he pinched the bridge of his nose. "She has her father's appetite, he was a good friend of mine when I was young." Videl, Erasa and Sharpener trailing behind the two men who had lagged behind the rest of the class who were all completely dumbstruck by a young girl eating what appeared to be enough food to outweigh an elephant. Mirai nodded towards her back, "Go on over and say Hi Gohan."

A short pause in the human vacuum showed that that had at least struck a chord with the inhaling maw that was Pan Briefs. She turned around, the tails of her orange bandana snapping around almost as fast as her mid back length jet black hair. As she turned it was possible to see her midriff baring red and gold top above her artfully ripped blue-jeans, but what really caught Gohan's attention were her eyes.

His own eyes were staring back at him from a face he didn't recognize, he could see pieces of himself, but there was someone there he didn't recognize. Her gaze lingered on him for just a moment before flashing to someone near him and then she turned back to her meal. Confusion was the most prevalent thing in his mind till a small cough caught his attention and he turned to see Bulma standing in the door.

The rest of the class turned to see who had coughed and there were a few fangirl squeals, because standing in front of this unworthy class was the one, the only, Bulma Briefs. In their excitement they neglected to notice she was wearing a workers jumpsuit, and had some grease smeared on her face and her hair held in place by a bandana. She looked like a blue haired version of Rosey the Riveter.

"Welcome to Capsule Corps, home of the dyna-cap or as they're more commonly known now the capsule." She gestured to a machine at the rear of the room, "Please, get some food and I'll explain what we'll be doing this week." She walked up to the machine and pressed a button near the faceplate and said clearly, "One Coffee, two sugars, one shot of creamer." A few moments later a steaming mug of coffee emerged on a conveyor belt.

"This machine works by pressing the button and saying what you'd like to eat, I can almost guarantee it'll be on the menu." She gave a pointed look at the demi-saiyans near her, "Some people enjoy eating far too much." Her pointed look gave way to a small grin.

When everyone had their food and the Saiyan's had their table filled she turned to the rest of the class, "So for the next few weeks, you'll be staying at some places that have shaped my life, and the lives of many of the people I hold dear." She looked around the room, "Here, in this building is where I gave birth, metaphorically speaking, to various inventions that made our life easier."

"In the 439 mountain region, I met one of the greatest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, a good friend and a better father." She began to pace in front of the class, "Between the two of us, we managed to explore a great deal of this world, and made many friends along the way."

"In the Ox Kingdom, we met a heavily misunderstood man who was trying to do nothing more than put a fire out caused by…" She racked her brain, "I'm still not even sure what to this day, but it caused him to be feared. Because many people came to the foregone conclusion that he had set his own country ablaze out of anger."

She spun on her heels to face the class, "So, your project for this week, is going to be to make a capsule of your own." She pulled one from her pocket and opened it with a burst of smoke, and a small video camera dropped into her hands. "It will be a camera to take a video record of your journey through places where I discovered myself in my youth," She spread her hands encompassing the class, "When I was your age."

She turned to their teacher, "The school was nice enough to allow me to assign this as a history and writing assignment all in one," She turned back to the class, "You, will be forging your own opinions on some of the lesser known places in this world. And yes, this will be for a large portion of your grade."

She turned to the wall and snickered into her hand as an idea popped into her head, "You will be working in pairs, and your grade will be determined by the report the two of you turn in." She turned around and saw a raven haired girl in pigtails grabbing onto her godson's arm and glaring at the side of his head.

"So, for now, determine your pairings and I'll send a bot in here in half an hour to escort you to the labs and jot down the names for the joint paper." She waved one hand and left the kitchen headed for her room to change as conversation erupted like vesuvius in the wake of her impromptu speech.

A glowering Videl who had latched onto Gohan's arm and was boring holes into the side of his head with her glare spoke softly, "I need to keep my grades up Gohan. So you and I will be partners." A pair of stuttering blondes were going to protest, for differing reasons.

"But babe! You and I would totally rock this report!" Sharpener said moments before a fist met his head, driving it down into the table. "I'm not your babe Sharpener, how many times will I have to tell you to get that through your head!" She snarled before kicking him out of his chair.

Erasa took a slightly more gentle approach, "Vi, you and I always partner up…" She sniffled, "Don't you want to work with me again?" Videl lost her glare and settled on a less hostile approach with her, "I would E, but dad's been cracking down on my grades," She explained, "If I drop below an A, he's going to call the chief and have them stop calling me to help with crimes. I just can't risk not being able to help people."

Erasa considered that for a moment, a slightly sad smile taking place of the puppy dog pout that had previously occupied her face, "I can understand that," She nodded and a bright smile took its rightful spot "You wouldn't be you if you couldn't help the citizens of Satan City." She wagged one finger in her face, "So just this once I'll forgive you for breaking up our partnership."

She reached down and poked Sharpener in the cheek, "Looks like it's you and me, Sharpie." A groan was her only reply, but she took that as a yes. "Well," Gohan started drawing the attention of his friends, "Since we know our groups, I can get us to the lab and we can start working." The others, minus Sharpener, nodded the consent and stood to follow the demi.

Mirai and Pan followed behind them, "Anyway Gohan, this is Pan," he waved in the direction of the young girl beside him, "She was my sensei's daughter, I've helped raise her since her mom got sick." Pan stuck her hand out, "Nice to meet'cha, Gohan." She grinned, and he clasped hands with her, "Sensei has told me a lot about you."

Videl felt one eyebrow arch up into her hairline, 'Who is she and why would her sensei tell her about him…' she blew some hair out of her face, a scowl deciding to make itself known. Her thoughts were interrupted when the same hand that had grasped Gohans made its way towards her, "And it's nice to meet you too Videl, it's always great to meet another female fighter."

She looked towards the girl and smirked, "There just aren't enough of us are there?" Pan shook her head, and replied, "Nope, and we can fight just as well as any man, I don't want someone to look down on me just because I'm a girl." Videl barked out a short laugh, "I think I'm going to like you."

A familiar smirk appeared on her lips, "That's probably a good thing." "Oh?" She asked, she nodded, "Sensei and I are gonna be following you around, Aunt Bulma thinks it'll be good for me or something, so we're coming along for the ride." She was so engrossed in her conversation with Pan that she didn't notice the boys having a near silent conversation behind her shoulder.

"So, Mirai, what's the deal." he jerked his head towards Pan, "Her mom got sick, not enough food to go around, and so since she's been getting weaker I've been taking care of her. Plus you did die fighting the androids in my time." Gohan nodded and grabbed all their attention, "We're headed towards the lab now, let's go partner." He directed the last part of that towards Videl.

Videl nodded and thought to herself, 'With me working with you, you're not going to have many places to hide from me Gohan Son, I'll figure you out yet.'

(A/N) So the speech from bulma just like flowed from my fingertips like water and i have no idea how that happened, so that was a thing! And how do you like my inclusion of pan, i can't really call her Pan son for obvious reasons and i've got no idea how she would act when she would be fourteen plus, i'm a guy so i'm not that great at writing female characters anyways! Plus, holy crow a double update and this one was even longer, what writing bug bit me in the butt! tune in next time to see what's going on
