Story Start!
"Now this is an interesting development, like father like son for sure."
Azazel looked over at Merlin's illusion as the two of them 'fished' together at the edge of Uzumaki island. Merlin was watching something that he didn't have access to himself, and Merlin seemed to find it highly amusing.
"Eh?"
"Oh, Naruto and Mordred had sex. Naruto is also like his mother in that way, he's so afraid of being emotionally intimate with others that he prefers physical. While sex with a servant does increase their bond strength, Kushina only really did it because she was afraid to get close to people after her parents died." Merlin explained for Azazel. He was the only person who visited him these days and actually talked to his illusion and treated it like it was real.
Azazel nodded.
"So, has he opened that first chakra yet, or is he still a ticking time bomb?" Azazel asked Merlin with a raised eyebrow.
Boom.
The magical power inside of Naruto that was restrained by his chakras was really building up. There was a reason why Uzumaki had their chakra forcefully unlocked for them when they reached 15 years old. That was around the time that their connection to the Reverse Side of the World started to grow in strength and their magical power started to grow even greater as well. Azazel didn't know how to forcefully unlock it, and for the most part neither did Merlin, other than the fact that stress could help.
"Right now, Operation: Stress is still underway. Until he reaches critical levels of stress, and finds a person he can trust to help him, his Root Chakra will remain blocked. Any other option will just result in the magical energy violently releasing itself when the pressure becomes too much." Merlin stated to Azazel. He had seen it before, and it had not been a pretty sight to see. The sight of an Uzumaki violently losing control of their build up magical power.
"... So how big of a boom are we talking?"
Azazel tried not to sound worried, and for the most part he wasn't worried. He had never seen an Uzumaki explode before, but he knew that there existed barriers made by the Uzumaki that could contain the explosion.
Barriers that only the Uzumaki knew how to perform.
Naruto was the only one left.
"... How big are we talking?"
"... Now all of China knows your here, an accurate example. I would say, even from Japan, all of China will see the explosion." Merlin stated, and Azazel tried to play it off as cool. He had hoped that stressing Naruto out to use his Sacred Gear would relieve some of the tension that was building up in his body.
Turns out, the opposite effect.
It was actually speeding up Naruto's timer, and the more he used his Sacred Gear without his magic having any real way to escape his body, the faster his body was going to build up internal magic. Once Naruto reached critical levels, and his body continued to try to expand his magic, then that would be a very bad event. He had made a miscalculation, and even killing Naruto would not stop the explosion.
Naruto's body dying, and his soul no longer containing his magic, would cause the magic to explode anyway, but the explosion would be even more powerful since Naruto's soul wouldn't be helping to contain it.
"That's bad."
"Oh, that's very bad... considering from Japan, the explosion would take out half of China, it would spell the destruction of humanity as a whole as well. An explosion that size going off would cause instant global changes." Merlin explained with a small smile. He would be perfectly okay, he was safely tucked away in his sealed vault where Kushina had put him to forever punish him.
He would still be around to see the last human dream, which was all he needed out of life, and after that he would gladly fade away himself.
"... and..."
"Without humans, all of the supernatural factions would quickly lose thier magical abilities and lifeforces. The supernatural can not exist without humanity either. Still, to think that he had sex with his sister, much like his father did before him... quite amusing how history repeats itself sometimes." Merlin just took humorless amusement.
"I'm more concerned about-"
"Naruto is 15, his body is incapable of handling the infinite power of the Reverse Side of the World, and with all of his chakras sealed his body simply has no way to releasing the pressure as his body matures. Do catepillars suddenly sprout wings and fly?" Merlin asked Azazel.
Azazel hated when Merlin did this to him, and made him feel stupid when he was a genius.
"No, they go through a metamorphosis and change into a butterfly." Azazel knew where this was heading. "Naruto is not a caterpillar though, the boy has a human... now devil... body. His body should be stronger now-"
"Stronger, yes, but now his body is actually trying to produce even more magic. His strength is actually tricking his body into speeding up his magical growth. Until they are 17 years old, their bodies need to release the pressure while they mature. Between the ages of 15 and 17 is perhaps one of the greatest periods of magical growth. Of course, like a water balloon, Naruto just needs to release the pressure from a suitable spout in order to stop himself from popping." Merlin summoned forth a water balloon to prove a point. He allowed illusion water to escape from it, but when he closed the end of the balloon and the water started to continue to grow inside of it, it popped.
"Why are they born with this function in their bodies-"
"Because, Uzumaki are Jinchuriki-"
"What?" Azazel had never heard that word before.
"The World hates the Reverse Side of the World because it is filled with pure, loving life energy so dense and potent that it puts the world to shame. At the same time, the Reverse Side of the World hates the World... the two sides are constantly in conflict. Bringing the two together will birth a new Age of Gods... and how do you think the two sides of the world would come back together. Thus, the Jinchuriki were born on the Reverse Side of the World, and travelled to this world... to become sacrifices." Merlin gave Azazel the answer that he was looking for, for years at that. An answer that only those who had studied both sides of the world could ever know, something that Azazel would never have the chance to do.
Only the Uzumaki, Merling, and King Artoria had ever managed to exist on both sides of the place at once, as well as the ancient creatures that lacked intelligence for the most part.
"The power-"
"The Power of Human Sacrifice, the world doesn't just hate the Uzumaki. It seeks to corrupt them, to do whatever it can to prevent them from exploding. You see, the world is quite sentient and... well I don't know the entire story myself to be honest. Eventually though, the Uzumaki breed with normal humans enough to dilute their own blood with human weakness."
"... but Naruto's father, Saber... was a Heroic Spirit, and didn't have a human body. Saber had a body that was created using-"
"Uzumaki magic, Saber's body might be a perfect replication of her own body, but that body was still created using the magic of the Uzumaki. Naruto, the Golden Haired and Blue Eyed Uzumaki... is a True Uzumaki... and Naruto exploding would rip open the barriers separating this world and the Reverse Side for certain." Merlin stated with narrowed eyes as he himself put some thought into it.
"... Wait, you mean... when I was inspired to make that Sacred Gear..."
"That was the Reverse Side of the World using you to do it's bidding so that it's Jinchuriki could be born again in it's true form. The Uzumaki didn't originally have the ability to unlock their chakras. The Reverse Side created them, knowing the World would reject them and seal their chakras... but the Reverse Side didn't count on the Uzumaki falling in being contradictions either."
"Oh?"
"The Uzumaki fell in love with humanity, and rejected their purpose as Jinchuriki to bring about change. So they forcefully unlocked their Root Chakra to stop themselves from exploding. At least, that is what their history tells us. Even their spiral symbol represents their purpose of mixing the worlds together again." Merlin drew the symbol into the air. He glanced at Azazel, who looked relieved now.
It wasn't hopeless.
"So, how do-"
"I can't say any of this for sure though, I do know their original purpose, but I've never met an Original Uzumaki in person. Naruto has a stronger connection to the Reverse Side of the World than any other Uzumaki. For all I know, Naruto blowing up could actually fuse the two worlds together and create a genuine paradise of everlasting life and save this world." Merlin didn't have all of the facts. He could only makes guesses based on the knowledge that he had at his disposal.
He was very sure he was accurate though.
"What are the signs?"
Merlin hummed, before he opened his mouth.
1. Stomach Pain as Magical Energy Builds and pressure rises.
2. Trouble remembering things and thinking straight, as the magical energy messes with their minds.
3. The inability to control their bodies, random seizures and spasms, combined with horrible agony as if their souls were being ripped apart.
4. Finally, golden glowing as the body prepared to explode.
"So, how did the Uzumaki make a barrier to contain-"
"We can't, it takes 2 fresh Uzumaki corpses to create the barrier to contain the explosion. They use the stable energy inside of their bodies to create a barrier that absorbs the explosion, not contains it. When an Uzumaki explodes, 2 Uzumaki have to die to seal the explosion away... the last time an Uzumaki exploded and it wasn't contained, they were teleported away to a different dimension... well... you've seen what the Dimensional Gap looks like." Merlin stated as he looked at Azazel dead in the eyes.
People thought that the Dimensional Gap was infinite and a void, but it was not. It used to be a thriving place of silence, with golems all around the floor of the Gap and many magical creations existing there.
He had a theory.
The Dimensional Gap was the original Earth before Earth split itself into The World and The Reverse Side of the World, and the Dimensional Gap was the void that had been left behind by the world splitting itself into pieces.
Just a theory thought.
"So..."
"We keep stressing Naruto out, creating situations where he will be forced to put his faith in others and rely on them. Naruto needs to unlock his Root Chakra, and relieve the pressure building inside of himself. You must act from the shadows, because know hows how Naruto's instincts will react if he learns of what his original purpose was... if anything, there is a chance it could make the countdown timer reach zero even faster." Merlin reminded Azazel of the hyper secrecy needed between them.
As it stood, only the two of them should have knowledge about the Prophecy and what Naruto's true nature was.
A Jinchuriki.
