Going to back taking a few days off fanfiction to relax and play some FGO and Pokemon GO with some friends who got back to town.
Story Start!

"Damn... She still hasn't found Tsubasa..."

Rias was alone, after the party and she made sure everyone got home safely... except for Naruto and Asia since she didn't know where they lived, she had returned to the clubroom and thought seriously to herself. At her suggestion, Kiba and Koneko were spending the night with each other to bond over games or whatever. Akeno was strong enough to be by herself, and even she was in the dark over the situation as she stayed with Issei for the night.

"So that is what this is about then."

"NARUTO!?"

Naruto was standing in the shadows of the room, and he stepped out with his arms crossed.

"How long have you been there!?" Rias asked in shock.

"Awhile, and it was a good move on my part to have Asia stay the night with Issei. You were acting suspicious tonight, having Akeno stay with Issei and Kiba with Koneko? You wouldn't suggest that if you didn't think something dangerous was going to happen. Your smile tonight was half-fake anyway." Naruto stated to Rias with a analytical look at her reaction.

She seemed surprised.

"You could tell? How?" Rias questioned him.

"I'm always watching and judging you, you might think I'm very hard on you, but that is because I want you to prove yourself to me. When you judge a person and watch over them, you tend to notice things about them. You bite your thumb when you are stressed out, so Sona's Tsubasa is missing?" Naruto asked Rias with a raised eyebrow. He remembered that girl from his first day of school, she had been an older student.

She was another Rook, and she had a good aura about her.

"You don't hate-"

"I don't care about your insecurities with my feelings towards you Rias, whatever this is, is not about us." Naruto stated to her coldly, to get her to move on from him paying attention to her. He didn't have the patience when there was something serious going on. "Anyway, whatever is going on, I bet is has something to do with this." Naruto walked over to the shower in the clubroom.

He pulled back the curtain and showed off a dead animal, a small dog that had black energy on it with red veins pulsing. Her eyes widened when she saw for the first time the dead animal, and she got up and stormed to the shower.

"What is that?"

"Caster is skilled with curses, and sensed something wrong. She summoned herself to inform me, so I send Berserker out to track down the closest source of dark energy... this was stalking Issei and Akeno." Naruto stated to Rias.

It had been about to attack them from behind, before Berserker killed it.

"Is that?"

"Berserker's arm? Yeah, when she killed it, it released a pulse of energy that corrupted her. For a second, I felt out connection." Naruto pointed to Berserker's severed arm. He had ordered her to rip her arm off when it had become corrupted. Even when she returned to spirit form, her severed arm still remained active.

Naruto's own arm was wounded from what he made Berserker do to herself, but it was minor so he didn't pay much attention to it.

"... Is this what happened to Tsubasa?" Rias whispered to herself as she reached out to pick up the arm and examine it.

Naruto watched carefully.

"When I touched it, I felt it trying to pull my Evil Piece out of my soul. I think the dog was trying to attack Akeno and Issei to reverse the Reincarnation. Just like how Berserker's arm got corrupted and became living flesh." Naruto tried to know everything that went on in the city. He always had at least 1 servant out an investigating something. He never knew when somebody was going to try and enter his territory.

Caster sensed it.
Berserker killed it.

"So Tsubasa is likely still alive, but she was... corrupted you called it... Naruto... your leg." Rias looked down at Naruto and her eyes widened when she saw a chunk of his arm was missing.

Naruto just waved her away.

"When Berserker's arm got corrupted, the corruption started to spread to me. I ordered her to sever her arm, but I ripped off the part of my arm effected. You do understand what this means right?" Naruto asked her with dead serious eyes.

She thought about it.

Corrupted animals that were targetting corrupted beings, turning them back to what they once were, only to corrupt them with something different?

"... These animals are targetting people, who have bodies that have already been manipulated and corrupted by Evil Pieces. It removes the Evil Piece, and then it tries to fill the void with it's own corruption... but why?" Rias didn't have all the answers.

Naruto stared her down.

She tried to think harder.

"... I'm sorry, I don't know." Rias answered him, and he nodded his head.

"Neither do I, there isn't enough information. I'm not going to summon any of my Servants until whatever this is, is figured out. Since you were never human, you are in the best situation to take care of this. So be a King and protect those who need your protection, the others need you to step up." Naruto told her, and she bit her thumb as she started to think.

She had to see a pattern.

"Koneko and Kiba!?"

"Are safe, Issei and Akeno both give off a weak scent. Akeno is strong, but she has a repressed strength, and Issei is weak. They were the first targets, but Kiba and Koneko weren't attacked, I already checked. Whatever this is, is gathering forces by stealing them... so-" Naruto extended his hand towards Rias.

Her eyes widened when she saw his hand, extended towards her as a symbol that he expected something from her.

"You... respect me?" Rias asked him with eyes widened wider in shock.

He was giving her a chance!?

"Right now, only you and I understand the situation, and even we don't understand all of it. The others should not learn of this. Right now, send them messages that a strong Rogue Devil is sneaking around at night and to keep an eye out. Tell them it is using animals covered in black power, and if they see something like that, to fly away. They will panic if they learn what these things can do."

Rias have a sad smile.

"Here I thought you would use this chance to become human, and leave my peerage." Rias could see Naruto doing that.

Naruto stared her down.

"When you are acting for your own selfish gain, I will not help you. Right now though, you are the only person who won't be in danger. I will do whatever is within my strength to help you overcome this danger." Naruto was not unreasonable.

He would not refuse to help Rias if other lives were in danger, or if it was something extremely serious that could effect others. It was only if Rias did something he didn't approve of, that he would stand up against her and tell her what she was doing that he didn't agree with. He would be happy to rebel against her when she acted out a line.

"I'll do my best to gain your-"

"Don't do this because you feel you need to prove yourself to me. Right now, I'm not the important thing here. You should put all your effort into protecting your people. They are your family, right?" Naruto asked her with sharp eyes.

She smiled, before she covered her mouth and laughed a little.

This was the Naruto that the others couldn't see.

"... You are I are really a lot alike, if we had met under-"

"No, I don't think we would be friends, I think I would avoid you. I make it a point to avoid girls with red hair, people will think I have a mother complex otherwise." Naruto deadpanned at her. He hated when people tried to assume that he would date a girl who looked similar to his mother, not realizing that while he liked red hair, he would never actually date a girl with red hair.

He loved his mother, yes, but at the same time she was an incredible source of shame for him that he tended to avoid. He had extremely conflicted feelings about his family, part of the reason he didn't take a lot of pride in being an Uzumaki.

Contradiction.

"... Because she was-"

"Yes, because of the pornos that feature her. Kind of hard to hide that fact that I'm her son, when I look similar to one of the people in those movies." Naruto stated with deadpan eyes. "Anyway, I'm going to keep moving behind the scenes. You just make sure the others stay safe." Naruto told Rias.

She knew that she could count on him.

"Do you have anything else you want to say to me? Honestly." Rias asked him, since this was a chance to get the truth about his feelings.

Naruto paused.

"You're shallow-minded, unable to see the big picture, and you take advantage of your body in the worst of ways. Work on it." Naruto told her as he turned around. Rias laughed to herself as he left the clubroom.

Truly, Naruto was the most honest with his feelings.

She had a lot of work to do.
