Two updates in one day? I must have too much time on my hands. Or just procrastinating my school work, lol.
The effects of the spell were not just going to go away overnight. Zane couldn't get out of bed without almost falling over from the pain. So he spent most of his time in bed cuddled into Cole trying to ignore the pain that surged through him each time he moved. Cole would gently rub Zane's back talking to his boyfriend softly and soothingly. Some days were worse than others, some days Zane could walk with a bit of help to at least the living room. Today was one of the good days. Zane woke up snuggled against Cole, the pain not nearly as bad as normal. Cole was already awake and sitting up, gently holding Zane.
"Hey baby, feeling any better today?" asked Cole, gently kissing Zane's forehead
"Better than usual," said Zane
"Want to go out to the living room?" asked Cole
"Not really, I just want to cuddle right now," said Zane.
"Not up for seeing an old movie Garmadon and Wu might be forcing the others to watch?" asked Cole
"I've seen most of them grew up on half of them, you have to remember Misako and I are the same age," said Zane
"It's easy to forget," said Cole
"Flirt," said Zane
"I love you," said Cole, pulling Zane close. Zane sighed and buried his face in Cole's chest
"I love you too," smiled Zane. Suddenly Kai came running into the room.
"Guys, hide me, Wu is trying to make me watch Grease" exclaimed Kai hiding under the bed.
"Oh, that's a classic," said Zane
"Don't you start!" exclaimed Kai
"But Kai, I thought you liked romance movies, and bad boy characters" teased Zane before resting his head back on Cole's chest.
"Still not feeling great huh," said Kai, worried for his brother
"Today isn't as bad as it normally it is," said Zane
"Lloyd went to go destroy the realm crystal, he had a dream where demons attacked and came through the crystal, he wants to prevent that at all costs," said Kai. Cole nodded, they both noticed that Zane had gone back to sleep, Nya and Jay did have him on strong painkillers that made him very tired.
"Why don't you carry him to the living room, I'm sure the others would enjoy having him out there even if he's asleep," said Kai. Cole nodded and held Zane marriage style, carrying him to the living room where Wu was putting on the movie, Misako came out with popcorn and one of the large quilts they owned she cuddled up with Garmadon on the couch, Lloyd sat in a bean bag chair cuddled next to Pixal, they had begun to date soon after Zane and Cole got together,
"Do we have to watch this? I hate musicals," groaned Jay
"Oh hush and come here," said Nya patting the other side of her, Jay ran over and they cuddled, Cole smirked, it looked like it was going to be a couple's movie night. He noticed kai had grabbed another quilt and handed it to Cole.
"Kai, I called Skylor, she's on her way, apparently she loves this movie," said Nya. Cole sat on one of the reclining chairs and positioned Zane comfortably under the blanket. When Skylor got on board she went over to Kai, they had been dating in secret for a while, now the secret was out, so she gladly snuggled close to her boyfriend. This left Wu by himself. Zane woke up halfway through Nya arguing over how tacky a clear hood on the car looked, Kai just thought it looked awesome. Zane cuddled closer to Cole, trying to ignore the aching in every fiber of his being. Nya noticed Zane's discomfort and looked at the time, she left for a few minutes and came back with the medicine she had Zane on and some healers tea.
"Here, I put some cinnamon in the tea to make it taste better," said Nya
"Thanks, Nya," said Zane, taking the medicine and the tea.
"We need to find a cure soon, it hurts seeing him like this," sighed Lloyd
"We will Lloyd, but for now, Love seems like it's being good medicine," said Wu. Cole just cuddled Zane close.
