"Let me try." Valeria interrupted as she watched Gon getting his hand bloodied from continuous losses from arm wrestling. The three were caught from stalking down two spiders. After they also tried to rake in as much money, they came across a valuable opportunity that they couldn't give up. It was agreed that the three most physically capable ones will go after the spiders while Leorio stayed behind with the boys' new friend and keeping an eye on the auction.

While the two boys were ambushed from the buildings, Valeria had tried to use the plants that were entangled in the building to save them when she saw the man glancing in their direction. However, as she pulled the boys, out of the windows, she was surrounded by the pink haired girl and the skinny man who had his hair tied up. She released her grip on the plants immediately and bit the sword that was aimed at her face while jumping away from the threads that tried to entangle her legs. She then tried to deliver a punch towards the girl, but her wrist got entangled by threads and the man pointed his sword against her head. The same man was arm wrestling Gon. He glanced up at the girl and smiled.

"You think you can beat me?"

'"...It's time to give the kid a break."

"Haha, no. He's not weak enough to just go down from this."

Valeria glared at him and looked as if she was ready to bite his head off and Feitan came up behind her with a knife pressed against her left ear. "If you try to move, I won't hesitate to take of one ear right now. I enjoy taking apart my victims piece by piece than keeping them alive."

"Yeh? I like biting my victims' noses and ears off." Valeria snorted and felt the cold tip of the knife digging into her ear. Killua scolded Valeria nervously, as he watched as blood trickled down the side of her face. "Oi, you idiot gorilla! Stop provoking them!"

"Who are you calling gorilla?" She hissed back and obediently shut her mouth and putting away any murderous intents she had. After her hostility stopped spiking out, Feitan lowered his knife, clicking his tongue. "If you get cocky next time, I'll gladly take off both your ears and nose."

Valeria looked at Gon, who still had his hand brutalized by Nobunaga. The man even had the nerve to cry and mourn for one of their members, which probably angered Gon, as his aura spiked and helped him defeat Nobunaga. Feitan immediately appeared next to Gon and pinned him against the stone table, which caused Killua to leap up and try to save him. However, Hisoka spared no time to press a card against the boy's throat. Valeria glanced over at Machi, who was on edge and ready to restrain her if needed.

"Feitan, stop." Nobunaga rolled his wrist around stared at the ravenette. The boy smirked, inquiring Nobunaga to clarify what he meant. "Stop what?"

"What you're about to do."

"You know what I'm about to do?"

"You're going to break his arm right?"

"I'm going to break a finger, then peel off a nail."

"Doesn't matter. Just stop."

"You're giving me orders?"

As the two bickered, Valeria stared at the clown who was still holding onto Killua. Hisoka looked at her then smiled before he looked away uncomfortably. Valeria then glanced around searching for anywhere to escape. As the tension built up between the two, the other spiders stepped in.

"Hey, quit it Nobunaga."

"Did you forget the rules?"

"Troupe members aren't allowed to have serious fights."

Nobunaga frowned and agreed reluctantly. "I know!" He pulled out a coin from his pocket and flipped it. After Nobunaga caught it and flipped it, Feitan chose tails. Nobunaga revealed the coin and responded: "Heads". The coin had heads up, and Nobunaga demanded that Feitan should release Gon. As soon as he did, Gon leapt back towards where Valeria and Killua are.

"So, what are we gonna do now? They haven't told us who the chain user is."

"If they don't know anything, we can let them go. So, Pakunoda?"

Pakunoda walked forward with her arms crossed. "I checked on the trip here. They really don't know anything."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeh, they have no memories of the chain user."

"Seems like your instincts were wrong this time."

"That's strange...well if Pakunoda says so, it must be true."

Nobunaga glanced over at Gon and Hisoka left Valeria and Killua. Valeria and Killua went up to Gon, checking if he was okay, before Killua asked them both: "Did they do anything to the both of you on the way here?"

"Other than kidnapping and domestic abuse not really." Valeria responded. Gon also shook his head. Killua gave Valeria an unamused look at her sarcastic comment before thinking hard. Valeria stared at the white haired boy then at Pakunoda then Killua.

"If they have nothing to do with the chain user, we can let them go."

"Yeh, that's true."

"No, they might be associated with chain user without knowing it."

"But I don't think they would be used by the chain user because he or she operates alone. It might be better to just check into the Nostrade family instead. Our target is the chain user, we should ignore everyone else."

"There you go. You kids are lucky." Feitan stared at them, particularly shooting a sharp look at Valeria. As Gon stuck his tongue out, Valeria flipped both of her middle fingers at him, and Killua restraining the female gorilla from any other actions that may provoke the spiders, Nobunaga commented out. Again.

"No. I won't let him leave. Kid...join the spiders and team up with me." He pointed at Gon.

"No. I'd rather die than join you guys!" Gon clenched his fists. Valeria felt her face contort in disgust and she protectively raised her arm in front of Gon. "Old man please, rebounding off of a kid isn't going to bring your 'friend' back. Besides, their values are fundamentally different you pedophile."

Nobunaga laughed and Valeria glanced around, seeing the others were perplexed by his maniacal laughter. "We're keeping them here until the boss gets here. I'm going to recommend we recruit them."

"Are you serious?"

"The boss will never allow that."

"Well, it's your call. But you're watching them and you can't blame us if they escape."

"Are you fucking serious?" Valeria felt her eye twitch.

"...This is really creepy. Old man are you lonely? Is that why you're doing this? None of this is ever gonna work, I'm telling you that Gon and you have completely different values. No way, are you guys gonna work out. Hey, are you listening to me?" Valeria growled.

"You're so noisy kid. But I don't mind the wittiness, the Troupe needs some liveliness. You...you're from the Lavine Clan aren't you. Or in your language, Longhu? I've ran into one of your kind before and he was very very strong. Although it was obvious he lacked combat experience and it was a pity he died. I would've enjoyed fighting more of you kind but Boss said that since you don't exactly have valuables worth having a blood bath with starving tigers, we never encountered more of your kind. But I think he'll be happy to add one of the warrior clan's soldiers into the troupe."

Before Valeria could say something back, Killua stood up and shouted: "Shut up!" His aura spiked and his eyes were unfocused, hinting of emotional instability. Valeria was too preoccupied by the fact he stole her line and was confused. "Wasn't that...was I not supposed to be the one to say that?"

Nobunaga chuckled and stood up, his hand on the handle of his sword. "Haha...how scary. But I'll let you know now kid, if you step into range I'll cut you down. "

Killua walked forward regardless but his steps faltered as he got closer and he ended up turning back and punching the wall. Nobunaga stared at him then sat back down. Valeria at this moment was so confused that she decided to lie down and count the cracks in the ceiling. Escape...she could punch a hole somewhere but that might take too much down for them all to escape.

As the trio contemplated on how to escape, Gon proposed an idea after arguing with Killua while Valeria picker her nose. "I remembered! It was wielding exposing and...side-stepping!" Gon and Killua stared at each other as lightbulbs went off in their head before they stared at Valeria.

"Do you remember now? How can we forget something so simple?"

"Wait Gon, does it work with three?" Killua asked and Valeria stood up, examining her booger. "Wielding is important too." She tapped her shoes on the ground and then stretched. The three smiled and positioned themselves, facing Nobunaga.

Gon grinned. "Well now that's settled… let's go."

"Are you serious?" Nobunaga frowned. The three ignored him and sprinted forward, the moment before they split up, Valeria shot her booger downwards, crumbling the floor beneath them and shooting a hole throughout all the floors beneath them till you saw the foundation base. Without Nobunaga being able to process yet, the boys escaped to the sides and Valeria jumped downwards. Valeria quickly grabbed the stones and flung them to the walls on her side as she didn't jump directly down to the ground. She then flicked her wrists, where plants starting to grow, creating obstacles that made it difficult to hunt her down. As she darted around and escaped out of the building, the first to meet her was Killua. Gon had shouted: "Let's fight him together!" before meeting with the pair. Then the trio escaped together.

"What next?" Gon asked.

"Improve Nen, at the current level, you can't possibly defeat any of them." Valeria responded.

"What about you?"Killua asked the girl.

"I'm not saying I can take down the spiders, but so far I'm lacking in experience and strategy. The Lavines honour strength and essentially prioritize brawns over brains. In Shion's case, it works. But for me it doesn't, at least not yet. So I can only handle them one by one or just train."

"Regardless, we should find Kurapika. I'm pretty sure he's the chain user."

"EH?"

"Huh?"
