"Really? Well, of course… a coward like you sure do love that power, right, eh Diamante?" Ace snickered behind him suddenly.
"Yo-!"
"En Ten: Shounetsu!" Ace voice roared loudly in the still room.
* HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO *
"An Ei: Boyake." was heard, before Diamante suddenly gone from the room.
"Th-the FUCK?!" Ace hissed in rage.
"That coward hides again." Law's golden eyes twitched in irritation.
"What now?"
"Stay on guard. He is still in this room."
"Shit.. This is so troublesome, isn't it? Ah! I have a good idea!"
"Wh-what now?"
"Just see…."
"Wa-WAIT! If you use it here, I will-" but Ace didn't stop. The small fireball above the Fire demon's hand was getting bigger and bigger.
"Get behind me Law!" Ace commanded seconds before he released the fireball which was now as big as his body.
"IDIOOT!" Law cried, charging as fast as he could to Ace's back.
"En Ten: Dai Enka!"
With that, Ace let the fireball flew up wards, it stopped before hitting the ceiling.
"Actually, what are you trying to do?" the surgeon of death asked in curiosity.
"Catching that rat." Ace answered while smirking smugly, "En Ten : Hikou."he continued with another skill. The fireball started to flare up then seconds later it was vomiting smaller balls which flew as fast as the wind, burning whatever object it touched. The flag, the throne, table, carpet, everything. Lighted up the dark room, where no darkness could linger anymore.
"Gotcha~!" Ace grinned so annoyingly when he spotted the red clad demon was backing off, evading the burning fire.
"Hot! Hot! Wh- why it still affected?! I am a shadow!" He cried both angry and frightened.
"Well, if you can light up all the room and make no place for shadow, isn't it logical that you can't hide anymore, eh Diamante?" Ace snickered dangerously, seeing the arrogant demon was frightened facing the two of them. Oh well, he shouldn't had done stupid things like hurting Cora-san in the first place. This was what he brought to himself by himself.
"You bastards!" he cried in anger.
"Really? Now we are the bad guy?" Law asked with a toxic grin plastered on his handsome features. His hand was already glowing with his trademark blueish dome,
"Room…" the sound of the surgeon of death resounding in the air.
"Wai-wait! Please… I'll let you go… ju-just let me…"
"Too bad, loser doesn't have the right to choose…" the fire demon grimaced, but smug smirk was still there on his face.
"Fu-"
"Wa-WAIT! If you harm our Lord then-" suddenly a high annoying pitch voice resounded.
"We"ll kill him!" added the other sound.
That stopped both Ace and Law on their tracks.
"Ace, don't mind me! Just do whatever you need to-"
"Shut up blondie… You won't like the pain." warned the devil like demon, floating beside him.
"Sabo!" Ace growled and his eyes flared in rage.
"Torao… sorry but, I can't move right now.." Luffy whined while standing still between the reaper and the jack-o-lantern.
"Kixixixi~! That's what you get when you're trying to oppose us." The round bat laughed cynically, beside him was Zoro who was hanging limply not really conscious and his face was contorted with pain.
"What have you-!" the fire demon hitched, Law stood still behind him, facing Diamante who was now laughing hysterically.
"I believe the roles are reverse right now! Uhahahahah!"
"What happened with you guys?!" the boiling rage in Ace couldn't stop him from questioning the hostages.
"I don't know! I just can't move!" answered Luffy who was standing still with no restraint at all.
"It's that jackass power! He just- kkh!" Sabo tried to explain while suddenly he was cut off when something chocked his neck.
"I told you to shut up!" the little demon hissed exasperated.
"Jackass?" Ace repeated.
"He meant the jack lantern over there." Law growled while explaining to his partner.
"You mean we have to kill it to free them?"
"Yeah."
"Don't think we didn't hear that, moron! Kiyaaa~! You see the green head over there? He is dying by my poison kiyaakakakak!" the round bat laughed, flapping his black wings in excitement.
"He what?!" Ace roared again.
"I bit him Kiyakakak! And now he is fighting over it. Though, I must say, he is a tough one, being able to endure it up until now." Demi the bat slowly descended and landed on Zoro's shoulder, who was limping immobile. Both of his hands bind with unseen string up into the air, just like a doll with a broken string. His face was pale and his breath was so rag, he couldn't even control himself.
"Hey, you still live? Kiyyaaa~!" Demi poked Zoro's cheek with his bat wing harshly, that made the still fighting to keep his conscious Farligenete frowned deeply before opening his eyes. Those dark circles underneath his eyes were deep and palpable.
"Ukkh…" the green head grunted in pain.
"Zoro!" cried Luffy, he was worried sick to see his friend in that state while he could do nothing at all.
"Lu…" Zoro's mumble was hardly heard.
"How are you feeling?" mocked Demi, chuckling annoyingly beside him. Zoro didn't answer instead he gave the little bat a death glare, that still did the trick. Demi jumped from his shoulder, scared.
"What happened Demi?!" asked Jack from below.
"No-nothing… I just don't like standing there." Answered the round bat, sending a painful smirked on the beast face.
"Rea-…lly?" now it was Zoro's turn who mock his enemy.
"Shut up you weakling!" roared Demi, head butting the green head in his abdomen, wincing the Farligenete in the process.
"Ukh!"
"ZORO!" All the trio shouted in unison, Luffy, Sabo and Ace, while Law jolted before he managed to calm down himself in a split second.
"Hey don't touch him! I'll kick your ass!" Luffy roared in rage. He stood still but was starting to tremble greatly, focusing all his power to free himself, though it was still futile. Beside the noirette, Sabo was gritting his teeth, focusing to all his surrounding to find an opening. Both Ace and Law were forced to stay still, trying their best not to act reckless, it was their friend's life at stake right now.
"UHAHAHAHAHAHAH! It seemed we overturned the condition right now!" the mocking voice sounded really annoying in everyone's ear. Diamante laughed whole heartedly, "though, I usually am a kind-hearted man who always give a second chance, I don't feel like to do it today… too bad guys." He continued with a winning grin plastered on his cruel face.
"Too bad we don't need one!" Ace spat maliciously.
"Oh, a cornered prey sure bite back." The demon in red clad mocked again. Hearing that, Ace was starting to lose his control.
"Hold it, Ace! He is provoking you, don't be fooled!" Law reminded his partner.
"I know… shit! I despise him!" the fire demon chided.
"So do I, but the most important thing is how to release them? I have no time to worry about them and taking back Cora-san's heart at the same time." Law scowled.
"As much as I like to see you guys suffering, I don't have much time to deal with you right now." Diamante smirked dangerously while moving closer to where Sabo and Luffy stood.
Ace tensed up, so did Law. They were more than ready to lunge themselves to kick the red clad demon, but,
"I warn you, my children can kill your friends any time." sneered Diamante again, flaring up the morale of his little demons, then he continued, "by the way, shouldn't you guys worry for your dying friend? Although, I can't promise I won't kill another one, Uhahahahaha!"
"So, seems you still haven't made up your mind yet?" The blond head demon asked after facing Luffy. The boy gave a ferocious glare.
"I told you over and over again! I won't help you!" He shouted in rage, his eyes were burning with anger and hatred. "Fight me fair and square, you coward!"
"Uhahahaha! Fair and square, eh? I don't think that word is in my life after all... So, no. What's the point anyway? I got everything I want right now."
"That fucker..." Ace growled again.
"Let him be. Once we got an opening, he'll be dead for sure." Law said softly, his voice was barely audible, but his partner did hear his plan, "for now..." The surgeon of death jerked his thumb to the tattered Farligenete.
"We have to safe him first." He continued.
Indeed, Zoro was in the worst condition compared to the other. Though he didn't suffer any visible injury, one could see he was dying. He was pale, his breathing was uneven, wincing in pain once a while, everything was clear written on his face. He wasn't one to shown his own struggle. That meant he just couldn't hold it anymore.
"Will he be ok?" Ace asked with concern.
"I have to check on him."
"Well, how to-" before Ace had the chance to finish his sentence, Sabo's shout was cutting his line.
"LUFFY!"
That caught the duo demon's attention back on the hostages.
"Uuh… what is this?!" The noirette whined. The shadow from the floor was creeping up from his foot, it was like a paint, coloring his legs black.
"WHAT do you-"
"Uhahahaha! I don't have to answer that, do I?" Diamante just cut Sabo's panic question as fast as the blond tried to speak up.
"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HIM!"
Diamante just gave Sabo a quick glance before his focus set back to the noirette.
"What are you doing?! " Sabo asked the red demon again and again. Diamante just laughed it off and continued to enjoy the sight in front of him. Luffy's right leg was fully covered in black shadow, while the left one was being swallow each second pass.
"Uuuh... I feel really.. really... sleepy..." The noirette grumbled, fighting hard to keep his eyes open, but to no avail.
"LUFFY! STAY AWAKE! LUFFY!" Roared Sabo uneasy.
"Try-…ing.. uhh… I won't-" but Luffy just couldn't resist it any longer.
"CHIBI! STAY AWAKE! OR THE SHADOW WILL CONSUME YOUR MIND!" Law warned the Farlig, which effectively startled Luffy.
Though, it managed to keep the noirette stay awake for some more minute, the power of the shadow was too hard for Luffy to conquer, except... He could move and gain control of his body again then it might be possible.
Diamante patience was reaching its limit. He couldn't wait any longer. He wanted that power. He needed that power. That special nullifying power, which somehow managed to nullify all power in the world including the demon power. How magnificent was it? If he had that power, he could kill the Joker, the demon king. Then he would be the king himself.
The red clad demon was now in front of Luffy, stretching his arm to grabbed Luffy's chin.
"I want your power, kid…" hissed Diamante, licking the scar under the boy's left eye.
And that was where everything turned bad – for the cocky demon.

"Oii.. Ace..." Called the voice, heavy and croak. The fire demon looked around and soon realized it was the wounded beast who called him. Ace turned to see him, controlling the urge not to strike the bat around the beast.
"Don't.. worry ab-out... Me..." Was all Zoro needed to say, before Ace grin flourished on his freckled face.
"That's what I need to hear." Roared Ace. In a split second he was already leaping towards Luffy and Diamante.
Diamante's focus was on Luffy. He didn't ready for the sudden attack. He didn't even realize Ace was already flying towards him with that raging anger.
Just when the red clad demon wanted to grab Luffy's neck, the boy was suddenly getting further - or it was actually him who was flying away from his spot. Diamante didn't even realize how fast he had been knocked away before he crashed the castle wall. It hurt! So did his stomach. How the fuck he could get hurt? Was it because of the boy? He just didn't get it. He saw the fire demon was in front of that special Farlig, clicking his tongue, staring at him.
"Fuck! You done it! Jacko! Kill him!" Roared Diamante irritated.
"Bu-but my lord..."
"BUT WHAT?!"
"We..."
"Oh... he didn't even realize what had happened, did he?" mocked the voice. Diamante quickly turned all his attention to his subordinate, and there was this new blond guy, inhaling his cigarette with his super cocky attitude, standing beside the wounded beast, while all his subordinates were already scattered around.
"Who the fuck are you?!" hissed the red clad demon.
"Just call me, Mr. Prince." answered the blond nonchalantly. Mr. Prince didn't focus his attention towards Diamante, yet towards the green head beast behind him.
"You fucker..." spat the red clad demon.
"Well, your opinion doesn't matter." smirked the blond.
"SANJII?!" Cried both Luffy and Sabo relieved, seeing their favorite Vampire.
"...! Y...-" the beast was trying to make coherent word though nothing come out clearly. His throat felt like it was burning.
"Yo~ been waiting for me? Wait no more." answered Sanji with a huge smile.
"Sanji.. Zoro is-" Luffy was trying to explain the situation but abruptly cut.
"Yea yea... this stupid ass is always in trouble without me, isn't he?" huffed the vampire pissed off - both towards the one who caused Zoro to be in that state and towards himself for coming too late.
"Think you can help him?" asked Law appearing from nowhere.
"Who do you think I am?" smirked the blond, dragging his cigarette out of his lips with his slender finger. He then turned around to face his bickering rival/soulmate, and walked confidently towards the green head.
"You look like shit." chaffed the blond. Zoro was arching one of his eyebrow though he still cringed in pain.
"Yo...- are... shi-"
"Oh, shut up you dick head! Fix yourself first." Said Sanji while closing their distance to capture those chapped lips, tarnished with blood.

"Mother fuckers! Why are you always interfering my plan?!" roared the now angry Diamante.
"Oh? Never heard things like... you reap what you sow? Too bad for you." Law answered back sarcastically.
"I have nothing to do with y-"
"We have every right to stop you, jerk!"
"By the time you stole Roci's heart, you seal your own life." Ace added, his eyes raging with burning fury.
"Fuckin idiots! Kids! Take these-"
"You mean your cute little pets? They are also busy right now." The noirette demon answered again.
"You see, the vampire is really pissed that you harm his favorite person, so do us!" Ace gritted his teeth and ready to launch himself to beat Diamante's ass.
"So are you ready to get kicked?" Luffy made a big wide grin, his eyes were full of determination and was cracking his knuckle. He was ready to rumble.
"So? You wanna do this the harsh way or the easy way?" asked Sabo staring at the red clad demon. Eyebrows furrowed and his gaze was as cold as winter.
Diamante's face turned dark. He had no way out. His advantage was now turned back into disadvantage. He had to play this right or else...
"Please! Please spare me... I don't care anymore. Just take it back. But please, please let me go..." Diamante pleaded, kneeling, trembling in fear - or so what it as it seen. Everyone was looking at him in disgust, but Diamante didn't seem to care. Above his hand, black shadow was swirling together, forming a black ball, seconds later the black ball was dissolving and a thumping heart appeared.
"Th-that's?!" Ace stuttered.
"It's the thing you want, isn't it?" Diamante stated, holding Rocinante's heart in his hand, letting everyone see that red moving thing.
"Here take it... but don't kill me... please..." he said again, pleading.
"You disgust me." Said Law, stepping closer to the demon who was still kneeling in front of everybody.
Law was now in front of his enemy, stretching his hand to take the heart he had been searched for this entire time. Then suddenly a smile reappeared on Diamante's face, a dark cruel smile.
"You think I'll easily hand it over to you?" said the sly demon.
"And do you think I didn't see that coming?" Law grinned. Kikoku was already out of his sheath, and readied to cut his prey.
SLASH! SWOOOOSH! SLASH!
"ARGHH!" scream of pain was heard.
"…! N-… NO!" Sabo was chocked. His eyes widen in shock. No, it couldn't be happening. Not while he was there, doing nothing. Not while he was there, stunned. Not in front of his eyes, while he didn't realize it at all.
Not when he didn't realize what had happened to his little brother.
Because Sabo was there, realizing nothing, while Luffy was beside him with his blood spurting out from his chest, like a broken dam.
