Today was kind of sad. One of my friends is going back to his country and won't be coming back anymore. But if that what's best for him, I can't say anything about that. Be safe out there, man! But well, every meeting is another goodbye. And it was nice knowing him.

Enough about me, lets roll!

CURSED or BLESSED [27] : Memory of A Demon

* HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO *

Because Sabo was there, realizing nothing, while Luffy was there with all of his blood spurting out from his chest, like a broken dam.

* HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO *

"LUFFYYY!" Sabo cried from the top of his lung, so did Ace.

"Ukkh…" was all Luffy could voice, before he collapsed. The fire demon quickly caught his little friend, before he crashed onto the floor.

"Luffy! Luffy! Hang in there!" called the blond, his voice was trembling, so did his hand when he touched that tanned cheek.

By the time, Law slashed his Kikoku, cutting his enemy into two, Diamante managed to unleash his own skill. From the floor where Luffy stood, suddenly two spikes came up. Nobody readied for the sudden attack, so did Luffy. Those spikes hit Luffy directly, slashing the boy's chest, making ghastly X-wounds on his tanned skin.

"LUFFY-YA!?" Law screeched for all he could. Running towards his childhood friend, neglecting Diamante who was now divided into two with smile still plastered on his face.

"To…o" was all Luffy could muster, with his hand trying to reach the sulking demon. Law knelt beside the dying Farlig as quick as he reached him, grabbing his hand tightly, didn't want to let go. As much as Law was trying to stay compose, he just couldn't. He knew his heart wasn't in its respective place, but the fact he could feel it like being squashed by heavy thing, made him cringe. The demon remembered this feeling once, back then when he was still a human, when he was still a useless weakling who couldn't protect anything, when his sister died in front of his eyes, yet he could only cried and cried.

And now it happened again. A boy who managed to make his way into his mind, broke his personal space so easily, stole his heart somehow, was now dying in front of him – again. So, it wasn't because he was a human, not because he was a kid, it was just because he was a useless weakling who couldn't protect what was important for him. Because he was also those who people called the cursed one.

* HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO *

It was all happened, when he was a little seven years boy. Flevance was a small town famous with its medical skill. All kind of medical expertise' live there, so did Law and his perfect happy family. Although his parents weren't so famous, Law and Lami – his little sister were living with joy. Yes, they were living in peace until that day. The day when Law's Farlig power awakened.

Human hates Farlig, because they were excelled compared to the other. Human jealous with their special power, thus they tried to banish Farlig, to killed them, especially those higher rank humans who called themselves Tenryuubito. Tenryuubito set the rules of the world for all human being, because they were considered the pure blood line of the ancestors who make the world what it was now. The ancestors were the one who divided the world into Annen Verden and Menneske Verden, where the human lives in the Menneske Verden which got everything, and those who isn't human lives in the nothingness of Annen Verden.

Flevance was the only town that connected to Annen Verden once. Law and his family were living in between the world. Law was genius and it showed since the young age of his. Human was a jealous being, thus with some money and words trick, his family lived a little secluded than the rest of his town. However, his family lived happily. Although, they weren't famous in human world, his father was kind enough to help everybody who isn't human, and that was how, Shanks leaded Zoro and the other to Law's place.

However, good thing didn't last. His family was brought into destruction. If he would think about it now, was it because Luffy's cursed, or his own cursed, he didn't know, he didn't believe that. The only thing he knew those townspeople were the cause of it. Those heartless humans had sold them.

"This is a direct order from the Tenryuubito! These criminals had killed an innocent child and amongst them, there is a dangerous monster. Those who see these criminals, are to hand them over ASAP! Those who tried to help them, will suffer the same fate as these criminals."

And that was how those who fight alongside of the justice for the Menneske Verden told the townspeople. So, the people of Flevance taught it was a good idea to sell the Trafalgar family whom they were jealous of, and made a lie about it. Unbeknownst to them that Trafalgar did help those 'criminals'.

"RUN LAW! TAKE LAMI WITH YOU AND RUN! NEVER LOOK BACK!" His mother shouted while trying to protect their father who was still fighting with the army. Lami was crying, calling her mother and father over and over again.

"BUT MO-"

"I SAID RUN! WE CAN'T HOLD BACK MUCH LONGER!" his mother with tears over flowing from her beautiful eyes kept telling her child to run away, from those rotten bastards who called themselves world justice.

"Protect Lami for us, Law… remember that we will always love you." Said her mother again, before she made a cocoon like nest made of branches around her lovely children and ordered those birds to go away and protect her children.

"I WON'T LET YOU HARM MY KIDS" screeched his desperate mother. The door destroyed, couldn't stand from those harsh blows form the army.

"A HARPY! KILL THIS MONSTER! SHE IS DANGEROUS!" shouted the head of the army.

"MOOOOOOOMMM!" Lami cried from afar, inside the flying cocoon nest, trying to run back to his mother. Law tried his best to hold his little sister in his hug.

"NOOO LAMII! WE HAVE TO RUN!" Law exclaimed while crying, trying his best to handle his sister. But Lami was stubborn, she struggled to release herself from her brother, wanting to go to her mother's place.

Suddenly there was a heavy shake, in the next second they were falling. Some of the birds had been shot, and the others weren't strong enough to stay afloat. They fell. Luckily into some unkempt bush, capable to hid them for sometimes being.

"After them! We can't let the monster's children go! They are dangerous! Kill them!" The captain ordered again. Some of the guards quickly ran to their place. Because the armies were friends of justice, they couldn't let any criminals go, they couldn't let monsters roam free even though they were still children. Because they were the justice. Blind justice.

As Lami was crying and ran to her mother's place, one of the birds was trying hard to catch her. And so did Law who was trying to run after Lami but to no avail. He was being pulled by the remaining birds, trying to save him, keeping their promise to their queen. One of the bird stifled Law's mouth, so he couldn't shout, the other three were pulling him away from that dangerous place.

And,

BANG!

Then it became silent.

Before the bird managed to catch Lami, before Law could blink, Lami was already lay on the ground with her eyes opened, staring at nothing. A hole between her eyes, blood oozing from it. Her usual grin replaced with a slight gap, her starry black eyes were now cold, distance. Her high pitch voice was now gone forever. And Law… Law could do nothing to prevent that to happen. Law could only cry, shouted while being dragged away, then watched her dead. He should be dragging her away. He should be running to catch her. He should be protecting her.

He should be the one who died before her.

He wailed, a long deep sickening voice. A long howl laced with terror. He hated them! He hated these people. He hated those who killed his family. He despised them, he detested them. He needed to get revenge. He needed to kill them. Each and every of them, slowly, painfully.

The raging boil inside his heart, no longer could be keep. Leaded by his fury, his power was over-flowing out of control. A blue sphere suddenly appeared, coping him, those birds, those armies, and his poor little Lami.

"Wh-What is this clear blue thing?!" some of the armies were surprised, some even panicking. One was curious, so with his finger he touched the blue sphere, then…

"W-WHAAAAA?! M-MY FINGERR!" he shouted when his finger was cut instantly.

"Wh-WWWHHHAAAAA! M-MY FEETTT!" the other shouted in horror.

"MY- MY HAND!"

"NOO! MY LEG!"

And one by one, like a chorus, they shouted, crying, panicking when their bodies were suddenly bisected one and another. Though with no pain at all.

"W-WHAT HAPPENED?!" their commander was also in shock when his own body cut in half.

"We- we don't know, captain! Bu-"

"But we don't feel pain at all… it's like…"

"It's like our body is not our body."

"It is your body. I tell you. Relax, I only need one thing." Law said while getting closer to the one being called captain. His face bore no expression, his eyes were cold, it was like all of the tumults he felt before gone with the wind.

"WH-WHAT?! Yo- You are the one who do this?!"

"I think so. Yeah. Thanks to you, I realized my power." The boy answered with no emotion in his tone.

"Yo-…. YOU ARE MONSTER! JUST LIKE THE TOWNPEOPLE SAID! DIE MONSTER! YOU CURSED!" shrieked the commander in horror.

"Really? So, it was the people in town… Well, not that I care about that now. Anyway, you have your chance to kill me, but you didn't. Instead you killed her. You killed her and you released the monster. You have to blame yourself for that." Law replied steadily, flat tone. His lips tugging upward a little bit but then he wasn't smiling.

"Y-Youu…."

"Ah… I found one of what I'm looking for." The little boy suddenly said. He stretched his arm, taking the thing he was looking for. A red thing, beating steadily.

"Tha-…. That is…" the commander stuttered in horror.

"I wonder whose is this… let see…" the boy continued without minding the captain. The thing in his hand was twice as big as his hand. He didn't mind. He grasped the thing.

"AAARRGHHH!" suddenly a shout from one of the troops.

"Wha-… what happened?"

"Is that hurt? I suppose it is." Law said while grabbing the other same thing in the other hand, and did the same thing. Another excruciating shout.

"What is that exactly?!" the captain demanded an answer.

"How stupid are you? Can't you see it by yourself? Should a monster like me explain it to your low intelligent brain?" Law mocked him.

"Ho-… HOW DARE YOU…." The commander hissed in anger. Never in his dream he would be mocked by a monster on top of that a boy, a little boy.

"It's your hearts, idiots."

"Wh-… WHAT?!"

"See… the size, the shape. I proof it just now right. When I squeezed it, somebody feel the pain. I wonder if I could try and stab it." Continued Law with flat smile.

"You don't-!"

"Ahh.. too bad I don't have any sharp thing… but this thing sure is flabby. Gross…"

"DIE YOU MONSTER! SOMEBODY KILL HIM!"

"Bu- but commander! I can't move! None of us can!"

"Fu-Fuckerrs!"

"Ah… let's try and poke this thing." Law continued, squeezed the heart in his hand, using his nail, as strong as he could. The cried of agony was unbearably painful from one of the troops.

"Ahh, it's that much? Is it too much?" the boy giggled, "IT STILL NOT ENOUGH!" he shouted with his face contorted with fury of madness, he took another and another, and the other, clawing them, squeezing them, stepping on them with no regret, with no hesitation. The quite forest was now lively. Cried and wailed of excruciating pains could be heard. It was like hearing a hell song, sickening cried of pain, shrieking sound of dying people, and a laughing voice of a little boy.

* HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO *

"RU- RUUUNN! RUN FOR YOUR LIVE!" shouted the voice frightened. The man was running. Sweat was dropping like rain on him.

At first, there were four of them. They went to Trafalgar's dwelling, wanted to check whether those Farligs had gone for good or not. Never in their dream, they would see such horrid scene nor expected to be involved with it.

Two of them, accidentally stepped into Law's territorial sphere then got mixed with all those armies, while the other was seen by the little boy then instantly killed by him – by the little monster.

The only one left quickly ran as fast as he could, trying to alert the townspeople that the Trafalgar was indeed a monster, not just their assumption.

Sadly, Trafalgar D. Law was becoming a monster, thanks to them – the townspeople who were jealous of his power, his genius mind and skill.

"Yeah… you have to run guys. Run if you don't want to be killed. You can't protect anything. You are weak. Yeah… you are weak… and I'm strong! I AM STRONGER THAN ALL OF YOU! SO, I WILL TAKE EVERYTHING YOU TOOK FROM ME!" Law's voice reverberated in the air. A voice of a little boy who had lost everything in his life; his family, his happiness, his trust for mankind and his self.

That night, Trafalgar D. Law, a little boy who was only seven, massacred a town. His own home town. A town who knew his joy and despair. A town which was once known by a name Flevance.

"Who the fuck summoned me?!" roared the demon. Wearing a pair of red sharp sunglasses, a fuckin bright pink long coat, unbuttoned white shirt – showing his broad tanned chest – and a pair of striking pink pants, he chided angrily.

"Me. You have any problems?" answered a voice, an icy cold voice. The demon looked into his right then to his left, he saw nothing. A sound of clicking tongue.

"I'm here fucker!" said the voice again. The demon frowned then looked down. There he found the source of the voice. A little boy, a pale skinned little boy with a white hat with brown spots. He found this little boy was somewhat amusing. He didn't understand why though.

"What do you want, brat?! Did nobody teach you not to play with fire?" smiled the demon, a cocky somewhat cold smile.

"Shut up! I summoned you so you have to grant me my wish!" spat the boy back. No fear, just raging hatred and murderous intent. Oh~ what an eccentric little one.

"Heh! Who are you? Tell me why I, the demon king have to obey you, brat!" chided the demon king, with his grin still plastered on his face.

"Because I had successfully summoned you! Everybody knows if you succeed summoned a demon, then the demon had to grant your wish."

"And who the fuck believes that?!"

"People!"

"Argh! Whatever. Sure I can grant you anything you want, but still.."

"What?!"

"You want to make a contract with a demon? Keh! It won't be a cheap, brat. Now that you had summoned me, I won't let you off without a contract. Kheheheheheh!"

"Tchh! That's what I want!"

"So kid, what do you want? Mountain of toys? Money? Life? Khehehehehe! I can grant any wish for you."

"Hmph! Useless bargain. I don't need all of that, idiot!"

"I-! Idi-…. BRAT! DON'T YOU KNOW WHO AM I?! I CAN KILL YOU EASILY!"

"SHUT UP! AN IDIOT IS AN IDIOT! WHAT'S WRONG CALLING YOU AN IDIOT THEN?!"

"Fine. I can kill you anytime anyway. SO! If I find your wish is boring, you are dead! So, what is your wish, smart ass?" the demon king retorted.

"Make me a demon, demon!"

"H-HAAH!?" his usual smug grin dropped, jaw hanging.

"A demon! Turn me into one."

"Hmph! What a wish. And what will I get if I turn you into one?"

"These." The boy showed the demon king a sack of bag. The lower half of the bag was drenched, colored with something black. It was reek of something, something he knew, something he familiar of… it was the smell of,

"Blood? What is that in the bag, kid?"

"You can open it up. These are some of the payment."

The demon king flicked his finger, and the sack was suddenly floated towards him. It even opened up itself. The demon took a peek then frowned.

"Hearts? Human hearts? And how many do you have?" asked the demon again. His lips were starting to tug upwards. So, this was it. This was the reason why he found the boy was amusing. This boy was fucked up!

"How many do you want?" the kid answered with another question.

"Khehehehe…. How many do you have, kid?"

"How many do you want?" the boy repeated.

"Keh-hehe… HEEHEHEHEHEH! A damn smart ass indeed. Fine! Hundred! I want that much!"

"….. Fuck.. I only got ninety nine."

"Hee…. Hehe…. HEAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU ARE INDEED A STRANGE ONE BRAT!" the demon king laughed, an eerie voice to be heard, but the kid feared nothing, stood still, no emotion shown on his face.

"I'll make it a hundred!" the boy said.

"Ohh? How? You will give me yours?"

"I will. I don't need this."

"Hoo…. Why don't you try to rip it out by yourself." challenged the demon with a grin. A smug grin.

"Then you will turn me into a demon?"

"If I think you deserve it then…." The demon hadn't even finished his sentence when he saw the boy was already dissecting himself with a scalpel.

"That is soooo fucked up boy! Khehheaahahahahahaha! I Like you! What is your name?"

"…Law…." Said the boy while ripping his own heart from its socket and hand it over to the demon.

"Well, Law…. Welcome to my family. From now on, you are my son, Donquixote Doflamingo. Or you can call me Joker if you like. Khehehehe!" said Doflamingo, touching the boy's forehead with his finger. Suddenly a thin string appeared. First it was only a thin line, but it grew more and more, surrounding around Law, cocooning the little Farlig in the process.

Last thing Law saw before darkness consumed him, was a grinning demon. Satisfaction was written all over the demon face.

* HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO HnO *

"Fuck! FUCKK!LUFFYYY!" Sabo's voice jerked Law from whatever trance he was in. He blinked once, twice before his emotion started to race again. He needed to think fast! This time… with all of his power, he couldn't let his little chibi left him alone again, no! He wouldn't let it go this time. This time, he had to do everything, even though he had to go to heaven or hell to bring this boy back he would – no! He needed to do it. Because Luffy was the only one he wouldn't let go. Luffy was the only one last existence who could make him stay true. Luffy was the only one who managed to make his emotion going up and down and was the only one who could calm him down in this twisted chaotic world they were in.

Law had already sacrificed everything, and now he had the power to do everything he had to do.

Because Luffy was the only one who could steal his heart, albeit the fact that his heart wasn't in its respective place. Because Luffy was the shinning sun in his dark cold world.
