I'm back! Hope you enjoy!
They had the funeral two days later. It was a lovely ceremony. Annabeth gave a lovely speech and she announced that she was pregnant. Everyone was surprised. Annabeth told them that this was a celebration of life, not a mourning of death. Everybody clapped when she finished. There was a celebration afterwards. It was a celebration of Percy's life. They served blue food and all the horses were invited. It was quite a celebration. Annabeth sat alone in a corner. Chiron came up to her.
"I know this must be hard for you, Annabeth." Chiron remarked, "But it's for the best. Look how happy everyone is. Percy would have wanted this."
Annabeth nodded. She didn't feel like celebrating because she knew she would probably be sick. She just sat there and watched the celebration. A few people came up to her and said their condolences.
"Percy was one of the best friends I ever had." A girl named Sofia told her, "We'll all miss him."
Annabeth had no idea who this girl was, but smiled and said thank you anyway.
Her brother Malcolm came over to her.
"How are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm okay," she said, smiling weakly.
"That's good. I'm really sorry about Percy."
"Thank you."
"How far along are you?" Malcolm asked.
"Six weeks," Annabeth replied.
"So you don't know whether it's a boy or a girl yet."
"That's correct."
"Have you thought about names for the baby?"
This idea startled Annabeth. She hadn't thought about names yet. That was unlike her.
"What would you suggest?" She asked.
"Malcolm is a nice name," Malcolm said with a mischievous grin.
Annabeth laughed.
"I'll keep that in mind."
That same day, Percy had just finished playing Monopoly with Chaos. It had been a close game, but in the end, Percy won.
"So, what do you want to do now?" Chaos asked as he put the pieces back in the box.
He waved his hand, and the box was gone.
"I don't know," Percy sighed. "What do you want to do?"
"Let's play Yahtzee."
"Okay."
After a quick game of Yahtzee, in which Chaos won, Percy just wanted to be alone. He went to his room. He found a bookshelf that hadn't been there when he had last been in his room. The book nearest to him was the Odyssey. Percy opened it. It was in Greek. He tried it, but he soon tired of reading. He went back down the hallway and climbed down the stairs.
"Back already?" Chaos asked.
"It's hard for me to read," Percy said. "Even in Greek."
"Do you want me to get you some audiobooks?"
"That would be nice."
A pile of audiobooks and a portable CD player and headphones suddenly appeared in Percy's arms.
"There you go."
"Thanks."
Percy went back to his room and listened to one of the books. It was called The Princess Bride. He'd watched the movie, but he had never heard of the book. It was actually better than the movie. He lay there on the bed for a while, just listening to the book. After a bit, his stomach rumbled. He turned off the CD player and took off the headphones. He went downstairs and found the kitchen. He started to make himself a sandwich. Chaos walked into the kitchen.
"Hungry?" He asked.
"Yes," Percy replied.
"What would you like to eat?"
Percy gestured at the sandwich ingredients.
"I could make you anything you want," Chaos said.
"Anything?"
"Yes."
Could I have some blue pancakes?"
Instantly, Percy was holding a plate of blue pancakes.
"Thank you," he said.
"You're welcome."
