Steven Universe: The Order of The Moon

(WARNING: This is the SECOND story of my Steven Universe series. If you haven't read "Necro-Gem" yet, read that one first) It's been months since Zircon has left Beach City on his search for Carnelia, leaving Steven in an increasing worried state for his friend. But, a more malicious presence is slowly closing in on Earth with hatred for both Rose Quartz and Bloodstone.

11. Mini-Chapter 1

Mini-Chapter 1

"So…" Zircon tried to start as him and Steven are parked outside of the Barn on Reaper MK2. "Do you think they're still mad at me?"

"Well, there's only one way to see." Steven answered as he hopped off of the motorcycle, with Zircon waddling behind as he was nervous to see Peridot and Lapis again after how he left them, especially Lapis.

"Okay, I know how I'm gonna do this." Steven said with confidence as he had Zircon stay back while he walked to the barn doors. "Hey Peridot! Come here! I need to show you something!" Steven called out as the two could hear scurrying from the second floor until Peridot landed before them. "Steven, what is i-" Peridot stopped in her tracks when she saw Zircon slowly waving at her.

"ZIRCON!" Peridot tackled the half-gem down to the ground, hugging and nuzzling him.

"W-Well, that's Peridot's reaction." Zircon smiled.

"D-Did someone say Zircon?!" Lapis' voice could be heard from inside the barn as well. Zircon quickly got up, thinking Lapis' reaction would be similar. Lapis stopped in front of him as she looked at him, wide eyed.

"Heh, hey Lapi-" Before Zircon could get any more out, a massive water fist slugged him and sent him flying away from the barn, landing hard into the pool that was outside the barn.

"…Did you know he was gonna land in that?" Peridot asked.

"Nope." Lapis answered with a glare as she stomped over to the pool. Zircon's head poked up from the water as he squirted some water from his mouth and slowly got out of it only to come face to face with an angry Lapis. "THAT was for leaving!" Zircon quickly frowned as he sighed out, knowing she wasn't happy with him, but…

"This is for coming back…" She said softly before hugging Zircon tightly. Slowly wrapping his arm around her, he soon felt Peridot hug his leg too, having Zircon hug both of them now. "I'm so sorry I left you two…" Zircon's hands tightened in the hug as Peridot and Lapis did the same, happy to have their friend back. From all of this, though, Zircon slightly heard something coming from the barn as well. "Um…is something yipping in the barn?" Zircon tilted his head as he walked over to the barn doors.

"Eh! Z-Z-Zircon-" Lapis tried to warn Zircon before something leaped out from the barn doors, tackling Zircon down…and licking his face repeatedly, "Wh-What the?! A-Ack! Ngh! Is that a…Pumpkin?!" Zircon reacted.

"Y-Yeah. Um, Zircon…meet Pumpkin~." Lapis introduced the two as Zircon's eyes narrowed since his one bang was sticking up from Pumpkin's saliva, "I honestly think I prefer the Lion more…" Only for him to be repeatedly licked by the pumpkin dog more.
