I removed this chapter by mistake.
What will come now will be one of the most strange turnabout I thought while making this reboot. Sure there are some fics with the same theme but I wanted to give a try on this theme to see how this will develop the story.
Vale Theater
The lights of the theater slowly faded, the curtains of the stage opened to start the spectacle. Some of the most influential people in Vale and other kingdoms were gathered in that theater, along with some citizens who have a good life and like to squander the money they have on jewelry and other precious things.
A middle aged woman watched the sword fight rehearsed on the stage through binoculars, enjoying the spectacle and one of the actors who caught her interest. She was so focused on the stage play that she did not notice the curvaceous figure approaching her from her back.
The girl's chocolate lips curled into a smile, watching the easy prey in front of her. Her heels did not make a noise as she approached the old woman, raising her arms to claim the prizes.
The old woman did not even notice the super expensive earrings being removed by the girl's skilful hands, followed by the diamond necklace. The brunette went further and took up the poor old woman's gold bracelet. With the job done, she went after her next victim.
The curtains closed at the end of the play, and the spectators rose from their seats to applaud, but the applauses were interrupted by the cry of one of the women in the raised seats.
-My necklace is gone! -She shouted followed by poorer victims.
- My rolex! Where is it?!
- My silver lighter is gone too!
-Where are my gold cufflinks?!
-My platinum bracelet was stolen!
Panic quickly spread through the theater, each of the spectators looking around in hopes of finding the stolen items. Some even accused those who were sitting on their sides, who also accused the accusers. The security guards tried to calm the panicked audience to find the culprit, some wondering how such a feat could have been done. Their eyes were always watching!
Suddenly, the curtains were once again opened and a single light shone on a solitary figure on the stage.
It was a girl, with brunette hair, and brown eyes like chocolate covered by a mask. In her hands, several very expensive items, each one costing more than a house in the suburb or even someone's arm and leg. The spectators in front recognized some of the items like those that were stolen from them.
How did this girl get their things while they were sitting in the front seats? Had not the actors noticed she was moving?
Placing all the items in a bag, she blew a kiss to the audience she had stolen and grabbed from the back of her waist a whip she used to hold up and pull herself up.
The security guards were the immediate hunt the girl. One of them spotted her in the hallways, and then the rest of the security ran after the thief. She showed no nervousness, always holding the smug grin on her brown lips as she left the security guards eating dust, the useless dust from the floor.
She ran to a room where the exit was only in a window and closed the door. Seeing that they were on the highest floor, the security guards were sure they would be able to catch the jewel thief. Opening the door they were shocked by the image of absolutely nothing inside the room.
-Look around! -The security leader ordered.
They searched behind all the place but found nothing. No secret passage, escape route, holes or an even secret door.
- Out there! -One of the security guards shouted, pointing to the window.
The security leader looks out and sees the thief perfectly standing on a mast in one of the nearby buildings. Even from a distance, the security leader could see one of the brunette girl's masked eyes wink before she fell backwards, disappearing into the fall.
Beacon
Common Room
-This is Lisa Lavender. -The news anchor came forward. -Last night, Vale's municipal theater was the victim of a bold, but successful, stealing of jewelry.
–Stealing? –Koro asked.
Team STRK watched the news while sitting on the couch of one of the common rooms of the academy, watching the news to see if the meeting of Ryan and Koro with the vigilant would appear. They listen to Lisa as she reported the facts.
–All the victims were residents of the higher society, who's had their jewelry stolen and did not even notice the absence of their belongings. The thief, a girl wearing only in black, was able to steal all their belongings in the middle of the play. Something curious to note was the outfit described by the victims as provocative, a black corset and black leather pants, black leather gloves and boots and on her neck, a collar with a musical note hanging in the middle. On her mask, right on her forehead, she had what looked like the fox's ears.
What came next were the victims of the thief being interviewed.
-That rolex cost more than a heart surgery, and that damn girl stole it from me!
-My grandmother's collar! –An old woman spoke while crying. -Was the only thing she left for me besides her mansion and cars!
-She could have stolen my entire suit if she wanted! If those damn security guards did their damn job properly!
After the interviews were done, Lisa appeared in the screen again.
-The authorities says that the thief must be a professional for be able to commit the act without anyone noticing. The loss of the stolen jewelry amounts to fifty-three million liens. The police are investigating the theater after some clues that can help them located this thief. Now we are going to see how it is the situation outside Vale…
Sally changed the channel after the news about the thief was done.
-First the vigilant and now a masked thief? –Koro spoke. -Vale is crowded with creeps.
-Speaking for yourself Koro. –Sally said earning a chuckle from Koro's partner. –But I'm curious about why some girl would dress herself just for commit a crime.
-Perhaps this girl just wants to make an impression of herself? –Ryan theorized.
-Why would someone want to leave an impression if left the place undetected would benefit her more? –Unicorn asked. After a couple of months, the girl starts to talk more than two words, but only to her team.
-Whatever is the reason, I don't think she will cause troubles for too long. –Sally said while looking for something to watch. –In a place like Vale a professional huntsman sure will get her.
-If they find her. –Koro bitterly said. –Those guys can't get even a cold. I know that because huntsmen could never lay a finger on me on the past.
-Was not Glynda who made the scar on your nose before arrest you? –Ryan asked.
-Shut… up. –Koro said earning a chuckle from Ryan and Sally, his defeat at the hands of his now teacher was not a good memory for him.
Sally then finally chose a channel were a show about a psychic teenager. Then Koro stole the remote from her to put on a channel were was showing a show of mutant ninjas, so start the little fight to decide what to watch.
Vale
If she knew that was going to be this easy, she would have started a long time ago.
At the moment, the thief girl was running around the roofs of the city with the police force chasing her.
She jumped out of the roof and used her whip to hang herself until she swung to the other side of the street, leaving the police officers behind. She turns around to run but stopped when notices that a Bullhead was coming.
She changed her direction and run to the left, leaving the Bullhead's pilot surprise to not see the thief running in his direction as the police had planned. It doesn't matter. The pilot starts to fly after the thief who was having a good time running away from the force.
The pilot started firing on ammunition hoping to knock down the thief girl, but she just smiled and pressed the button on her whip, making her weapon turn blue. She hit her whip on the floor below her making a little wall of ice rise from the concrete, blocking the shots and cracking down the ice.
This gave the girl enough time to run but as soon she reaches the street, more police officers appeared.
Again she was not worried.
They came after her with nightsticks, with her whip she took some of them before they could reach her. Those who were able to approach the beautiful thief were soon taken down by her skill in close combat.
She dodges a strike and hit the officer behind her with her whip, which was yellow colored now. The officer felt an electric charge pass through his body, taking him down. Another tried to hit her from the back and the thief stretches the whip on her back, now blue colored. The strike didn't even budge as the thief used her whip like a pole and kicked the officer straight on the face.
Trying to slow down her moves, one of the officers loaded his revolver with bullets filled with ice dust. The girl once again presses the button of her whip making her weapon red. He shot against the thief, who used her whip to block the shots. The dust in the bullets was not slowing down her moves thanks to the fire dust she was using on her weapon. She then wrapped her whip on the armed officer's ankle and pushed, making him fall on the floor and hit him with her whip while it was blue, trapping the man in ice.
As they tried to surround her, she rolled her whip and solidified the ice of the dust to make it solid while wrapped. She parried and hit every officer with grace and skill which could give jealous to a student of Beacon. Each office was tooks down by a strike on the face, back of the head, belly, knee, neck…
Before long almost every officer was down while just a few of them was standing and refusing to let her escape. Fun is fun but was getting late, so she decides to end her fun for the night. Her whip was now grey and she swung in front of the officers, causing a wave of wind to blow them away from her path.
With her path free, she went to escape only to the officers raise to their feet and follow her. She smirked as she makes her way to the river close by. Using her whip, she froze the water to walk through, the officers following her from behind. Different from the men following her, Foxy shows no problem to run on the ice. In fact, it was like she was walking in a plain surface.
She turns to see the officers struggling to run on the ice but they were able to reach the middle. Turning her whip red, she hits the ice which began to melt. The officers went in panic and tried to run back but each one fell on the water. With each one of them down, she disappeared in the darkness of the streets. It was in that time that some of the professors of the academy appeared, making question and checking if the officers were alright as they left the water. Far from they were, the thief opened a small box and was now checking on her newest acquisition.
It was four little shaped crystal dusts, each one with a form of one card figures. The one in form of a diamond was blue, the one in form of hearts was red, the one in form of spades was black, and the last one in form of clubs was green.
She closed the box and went to disappear on the night. She did not wanted to her team to wake up and find that she was missing from their dorm.
End of the chapter.
I guess it is pretty obvious who is this girl. I will give to her the name I chose in future chapter when she appears. That's all folks, see you next time.
