Romeo Pov

Was it Gajeel or someone else from the guild? It was hard to tell. I slowly crept towards the door hoping I could see whoever it was before they saw me. I as approached the door I places my hand in the cold metal door knob and slowly turned it. The door was then flown open sending me backwards.

"Did you honestly think that you would be able to escape when three members of the guild have enhanced senses." Wendy shouted her blue hair had been removed from there usual pigtails. Her forehead was slightly sweaty clearly from running after me.

"Look Wendy, I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me." I apologized. I started to walk toward her when I noticed she was shaking. " Wendy you okay?" I stopped where I was and prepared for some sort of attack. Instead she broke out in tears practically throwing herself into my arms. She cried into my bare chest as I sat us down on the couch.

"I-I c-can't believe y-you would ruin my wedding" Wendy cried "you're supposed to be my best friend." Did she still not understand my feelings for her? You would have thought my actions today made them pretty clear. I held her in my arms as she cried mainly because the part that carried for her was still inside me somewhere it was probably one of the few parts of me that was still the same. We stayed like that for hours until she stopped crying.

By the time she lifted her head her makeup was running down her face and my chest. Now I really needed a shower. She got up and walked to the other side of the room disappearing into the bathroom. I decided to put on a clean shirt judge by the fact wendy might be here awhile. While I got dressed wendy came out of the bathroom the makeup removed from her face. She sat back down where we had been moments before.

I sat beside her not daring to look at her after the trouble I had caused earlier today. We sat there in silence for what felt like hours (though it was probably only 10 minutes). "Romeo?" she spoke up her voice soft like the fur on a bunny. " Do you think i should marry Eve?" my eyes widened this was my chance I could end the relationship that had brought me so much trouble. I could have wendy for myself this was the moment I had been waiting for since the day she came back from tenrou. However I knew I couldn't do that to wendy or to eve.

"Yes wendy I think you should marry eve." I replied and as I did I could feel my heart breaking.

She looked at me with those big brown eyes of hers causing the pieces of my heart to melt and merge back together. She calmly got up and fixed her hair before leaving my hotel room without a word. I sighed and finally when to have that shower I had been trying to have earlier. It was definitely needed as most of the blood had either dried to my body or hair. Not to mention wendy's makeup which had been mixed in with some.

I entered the bathroom stripping what little clothes I had on and stepped into the shower as I did thought started swirling around in my head "You should have said no" "Get rid of Eve" "She should be yours" " You know what you have to do" "KILL HIM" I jumped back at that thought could I have even considered something like that "but you did" I quickly finished my shower and dried myself off and bolted to me room. Putting on my usual vest and black pants wrapping my scarf around his neck. I opened the door and ran into a very familiar suited figure.

"Hello Romeo" Leo charmed " It seems we need to talk" he entered my room and sat down on the couch. "Why don't you have a seat" he gestured to the seat across from him. I sat in it and looked at him with a confused look on face face.

"Where's Lucy" I asked looking around expecting to see the blonde enter the room at any moment but she never did.

"She's not coming" he replied " in fact she doesn't even know i am here" that was odd what business would leo have with me that he couldn't tell Lucy. Besides that I know he's strong enough to appear in the human world on his own but wasn't that only if his master was in danger?

"Romeo" Leo started "what would you do for the woman you love" he looked at me his eyes hidden by his glasses but I could tell he was serious "would you kill for her" my eyes widen it was like he could hear the voice screaming inside of my head to get rid of eve

"No of course not" I argued as Leo leaned forward I had a clear view of his eyes now. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it as if to think. He remained silent for a couple minutes

"So let me get this straight" Leo stated " you're getting trained by an assassin, you almost beat the love of your life's fiance to death, but you don't plan on killing anybody" he's glance was steady and set on me waiting for a response. When I didn't he stood up and began to leave " Romeo you should probably go apologize to Eve but don't do anything stupid" he disappears in blast of sparkling light

Romeo pov

I exited my hotel room. I decided against using the elevator so I was stuck climbing down 3 flights of stairs. When I reached the lobby it was empty most likely due to the fact I ran here covered in blood. I left the lobby and looked up at the evening sky the sun was on the brink of setting. I headed through the streets if the sorcerer weekly was right Eve was staying at the Prince's Treasure resort & spa. As I arrived at the hotel my the lobby was swarmed with press. Asking Hibiki and Ren about what had happened to Eve. neither of them were hesitating to throw me under the bus for what I had done.

As I made my way up to the Eve's room (which wasn't hard to find due to the screaming girls outside). I was able to teleport myself inside. He was on the phone when I came in and nearly had a heart attack when he saw me. " What are you doing here" He screamed dropping hes phone and grabbing a nearby candlestick and waving it toward me. "Is he really trying to use fire against a fire mage"

" look Eve i'm sorry I don't know what came over me" I started trying to put the right words together. His face was wrapped in bandages covering most of it but I could still see the fear in his one visible eye. He shook his body trembling as his eaved the candlestick around. It was then I realised he was to scared to listen to anything I had to say. "Nevermind i think it's better if I just left."

I turned and walked out the door my head hung low. As I let the crowd of girls into his room. I made my way to the elevator and down towards the lobby. The paparazzi turned towards me reports running at me.

I surrounded my body with fire disappear before they could ask me anything reappearing outside and walking down the dark magnolia street. The cold night air blew through my open vest.

"I'm surprised you didn't confess to wendy back when she was in your room" Shadow stated as he appeared beside me. "But then again i probably would have done the same."

"Look i'm not in the mood to talk about my love life right now." romeo sighed and went to lean against a lap post but missed causing him to fall into the river that flowed through town. The cold water snapping him out of his daze as he flowed down stream.
