Theme Song

Target on my back

Lone survivor lasts

They got me in their sights

No surrender no

Webs and stingers go

Living the dangerous life

Hey, hey, hey

Everyday when I wake

I'm trying to get up

They're knocking me down

Chewing me up

Spitting me out

Hey, hey, hey

When I need to be brave

You're making me strong

You're making me stand

Never will fall!

Never will end!

Shot like a rocket up into the sky

Nothing could stop me tonight

You make me feel invincible

Earthquake powerful

Just like a tidal wave

You make me brave

You're my titanium

Fight song raising up

Like a roar of victory in a stadium

Who can touch me 'cause I

(I'm made of fire!)

Who can stop me tonight

(I'm hard-wired!)

You make me feel invincible!

I feel, I feel it!

Invincible!

I feel, I feel it!

Invincible!

Episode 11: Razor's Edge

It was midday in Great Lakes City, and Tarantula was currently in combat with a stubborn thief.

"*struggling to pull the thief towards her with webs* Give back that money you thief!" exclaimed Tarantula, trying to keep her footing.

However, the thief she was trying to restrain was way too strong and simply tugged on the web to pull Tarantula face forward to the ground.

"Hahaha! Sorry spider girl, but this money is mine. What's the matter? You can't beat me without your little crew?" asked the thief, taunting Tarantula.

Tarantula responded to this by quickly shooting webs at the thief's feet to stick him to the ground. Before the thief could say another word, he suddenly received a solid jump kick to the face which caught him off guard.

"*lands back on her feet* Listen pal, I have somewhere I need to be today, so can we wrap this up?" asked Tarantula.

"*strains against the webs and manages to free his feet from the web traps* You're gonna have to do better than that." said the thief, with a smirk.

Just then however, the thief suddenly felt himself being lifted off the ground and into the air.

"W-What the heck?!" said the thief freaked out.

"Careful there! Looks like the gravity of this situation just changed!" said Orbit, flying into the scene using her anti-gravity belt.

"Great timing Orbit!" said Tarantula.

"Thanks!" said Orbit.

"Now, I'll take this." said Tarantula, shooting a web at the sack of money in the thief's hand to retrieve it.

"H-Hey!" shouted the thief.

"Alright, you can drop him now Orbit. I've gotta swing this money back over to the bank in a hurry." said Tarantula.

Orbit then turned the dial on her belt to change the gravity around the thief back to normal. He then promptly dropped to the ground and landed on some trash cans.

"Done! Wait. Why are you in such a hurry?" asked Orbit curious.

"I-"

Before Tarantula could respond, the thief suddenly rushed up on her about to punch her when Orbit suddenly punched him away from her, seemingly with the force of gravity around her fist.

*the thief gets slammed against the wall before slumping to the ground*

"...What the heck was THAT?!" exclaimed Orbit in shock.

"How am I supposed to know? You punched him!" said Tarantula, also in shock.

"*runs up to him* Um...are you okay?" asked Orbit concerned.

"*groans* I'm fine...*grumbles* Some arm you got on you kid...Ugh..." said the thief, as he drifted into unconsciousness.

"He'll be okay right?" asked Orbit.

"*hears sirens approaching* Yeah he'll be fine. Now come on!" said Tarantula, as she shot out a web and swung out of the alleyway.

Orbit floated into the air using her anti-gravity belt and followed after her.

Later that afternoon, at Great Lakes International Airport...

*runs up to the baggage claim* Yes! Made it!" exclaimed Ronnie Anne, out of breath.

"*catches up to her and starts panting* So you had to come to the airport?...*pants* But why? Who are you meeting?" asked Sid.

Instead of answering her question, Ronnie Anne suddenly gasped and ran off by herself.

"Oh!"

"I'm so glad you're here!" said Ronnie Anne, currently hugging a tall, middle-aged man with an impressive mustache and beard.

"*looks down and hugs Ronnie Anne back* Mi Ronita!" said the unknown man.

"*walks up to them* Um, Ronnie Anne? Who's this?" asked Sid confused.

"*breaks the embrace* Oh, Sid! This is my father, Arturo Santiago. Dad, this is my friend Sid." said Ronnie Anne, introducing the two.

"Ah, a pleasure to meet you Sid." said Arturo, offering his hand for a handshake.

"Nice to meet you too Mr. Santiago!" said Sid, happily shaking his hand.

"Come on Dad! There's so much to do and see! I'll call us a cab." said Ronnie Anne, tugging on the hand of her father to drag him along.

"Hey wait! Ronnie! Your dad left his suitcases!" exclaimed Sid.

A couple of minutes later, in a taxi...

*Ronnie Anne, Arturo and Sid are all sitting in the back of the taxi with Arturo sitting in between them*

"Ronita, A-are you sure it's OK I'm staying in your building? It's been a while since I've seen your abuelitos." said Arturo nervously.

"Dad, stop worrying! Everyone's glad you're here." said Ronnie Anne, trying to reassure her father.

"Ah, pues. If you say so." said Arturo, still unsure.

Suddenly, the taxi unexpectedly skidded to a stop as it came to rest at a traffic light. This threw Arturo off of his seat and into the divider.

"Ah! *groans* Ah." said Arturo, his face leaned up against the divider glass.

"Are you okay Dad?" asked Ronnie Anne, helping her father back onto his seat.

"Yes, I'm fine Ronita." said Arturo, as he adjusted himself in his seat.

As he looked to his left, a nearby electronics store caught his attention. A news report was currently live on one of the display TVs and the reporter was currently reporting on the robbery that had occurred earlier at the bank that day, and the robber that was thwarted by Tarantula and Orbit.

Arturo looked at the picture being shown of Tarantula and started staring at her.

"Is something wrong Dad?" asked Ronnie Anne concerned.

"Huh? Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about it mi hija." said Arturo.

However, Ronnie Anne could tell that something was bothering her father.

"Dad, you can tell me if something's wrong. You're not happy about something." said Ronnie Anne.

"*sighs* Well, I was just thinking about Roberto and how he's...well, you know..." said Arturo trailing.

"Yeah..." said Ronnie Anne, starting to feel a little guilty.

Sid just stayed quiet as she could tell this conversation was gonna get awkward.

"When your mother called me that night and told me what happened...I didn't know what to think. I was confused, terrified, angry...I'm a mix of all of these emotions right now, but I don't want to blame anyone for Bobby's disappearance." said Arturo.

"W-What do you mean?" asked Ronnie Anne confused.

"Well, I've heard stories of this Tarantula that showed up in Great Lakes City and I don't want to hold contempt against her but, if she is going to be a hero...I just wish she could've saved my son you know?" said Arturo.

Ronnie Anne stayed silent and looked away from her father, unable to face him after what he had just said.

"Ronita?" said Arturo, now concerned.

"Uh, you know Mr. Santiago, it's entirely possible that Tarantula tried to save your son, but didn't because his kidnapper tricked her and-"

"Uh, I think what Sid is trying to say is maybe Tarantula didn't save Bobby because she didn't get to him in time." said Ronnie Anne, trying to recover Sid's statement.

"I guess that makes sense mi Ronita. *sighs* I just wish my son was here that's all." said Arturo.

Just then, the taxi pulled up in front of the Casagrandes' apartment building, and the whole family was waiting outside to greet Arturo.

"Buenos daros, familia! Cómo estás? It's great to see you." said Arturo, as he got out of the taxi.

As the Casagrandes greeted Arturo and led him inside the building, Sid turned to Ronnie Anne as the taxi pulled away.

"Hey Ronnie Anne? How come your dad doesn't know that you're Tarantula?" asked Sid confused.

"Shh! Not so loud Sid." said Ronnie Anne.

"Oops. Sorry." said Sid.

"It's okay. *sighs* I didn't want my dad to find out about that over the phone. He already found out about Bobby and you see how upset he is. Something like that, me being a superhero...I wanna be the one to tell him. Face to face." said Ronnie Anne, explaining herself.

"I understand Ronnie. You don't want your dad to worry about anything else." said Sid.

"Exactly. That's why I asked my family to keep my secret identity a secret until I figure out the best time to tell dad the truth." said Ronnie Anne.

"I'm sure you'll figure it out Ronnie. And remember, I'm here for you if you need support." said Sid.

"Thanks Sid." said Ronnie Anne, as she and Sid headed inside the apartment building as well.

Later that night, the Casagrandes were having dinner and chatting a bit with Arturo.

"So, Dad, I bet it's a nice change to have someone cook for you. Huh?" asked Ronnie Anne.

"Actually, some of my patients cook for me, oh, you should taste Sra. Luisa's lomo saltado, ooh, requisimo!" said Arturo, praising the dish.

*Rosa growls and CJ sheepishly tries to turn her frown upside-down*

"But, but, but, this is delicious too." said Arturo, as he continued eating Rosa's food.

"Well, it sounds like he doesn't need our food." said Hector, as he attempted to take the food off of Arturo's plate.

However, Ronnie Anne stops him.

"So, Arturo, what has it been like in Peru? I'm sure you've gotten to see the famous sights there." said Frida, trying to move the conversation along.

"Actually, not as much as you might think. I spend a lot of my time taking care of my patients at the clinic. I rarely venture out beyond our camp, unless my team is going on a rescue mission." said Arturo.

"Oh, well that's a shame, though I suppose the safety of the citizens there come first." said Carlos.

"Yes, exactly. Sure it would be nice to go out and explore the Amazon, but I simply have too many responsibilities." said Arturo.

"Well don't worry Dad. The sights in Great Lakes may not be like Peru, but I'm sure we can find something fun to do in our city tour tomorrow." said Ronnie Anne.

"I'm looking forward to it mi hija." said Arturo.

Maria, who had been quiet for most of this conversation, looked like she was about to say something when suddenly Rosa interjected herself into the conversation.

"Alright! Who wants some more mole?" asked Rosa.

"I'll take some!" said Carl.

"Same!" said Carlota.

Carlitos just happily babbled which conveyed that he wanted some more as well.

As Rosa got up from the table, Maria suddenly turned to Ronnie Anne.

"Uh, Ronnie Anne? May I speak to you in your room for a second?" asked Maria.

"Um, sure mom." said Ronnie Anne, as she and Maria got up from their seats and left the table.

An unsettling silence fell over the table after they left.

"*squawks* Awkward." said Sergio.

Meanwhile with Maria and Ronnie Anne...

"What's going on Mom?" asked Ronnie Anne.

"*sighs* Ronnie Anne, I know you're excited to see your father again after all this time, but I just wanted to remind you to be careful when you're out there tomorrow." said Maria.

"I will Mom. I mean, I'm just showing Dad around the city. What can go wrong?" asked Ronnie Anne.

"Everything Ronnie Anne! This city is unpredictable, as you and I both know. Not to mention your father still doesn't know about your other identity." said Maria.

"I know Mom..." said Ronnie Anne.

"You should tell him Ronnie. You don't want to wait too long and have it be a surprise." said Maria.

"I'm going to tell him Mom...I just want to do it at the right time. Dad's already hung up on Bobby and I just want him to have a fun time tomorrow." said Ronnie Anne.

"Alright, but just stay vigilant." said Maria.

"Tarantula always is. Although hopefully she won't have to come out tomorrow." said Ronnie Anne, in a smart tone.

"*chuckles* Come here you." said Maria, as she and Ronnie Anne embraced in a loving hug.

Unbeknownst to them however, a larvinaut had been watching the two from just outside Ronnie Anne's bedroom window and Madame Butterfly was currently watching this footage on a giant monitor in front of her.

"Hmm...This could be interesting. Razorwing! Come in here please." said Madame Butterfly.

Suddenly, an armored figure flew into the room with dragonfly wings on his back. His armor was pine green in color, had visible scales, and also had purple accents. His helmet resembled a dragonfly's head and had tinted lenses. He had purple gloves and boots that had spikes on the knuckles and heels respectively. He also carried razor blades in a bandolier across his chest.

"Yes Madame?" asked Razorwing, in a monotonous tone of voice.

"I have a mission for you. You are to attack that girl tomorrow and bring her back here by any means necessary. Is that understood?" asked Madame Butterfly, pointing to Ronnie Anne on the screen.

Razorwing just nodded in response.

"Excellent. You may return to your quarters. I will summon you again when it is time." said Madame Butterfly, as Razorwing flew out of the room.

The next day, with Ronnie Anne and Arturo...

"So Dad, you ready to get to know the city?" asked Ronnie Anne, standing just outside of her apartment building.

"Sure mi hija. After you!" said Arturo.

"*takes out a camera* Let's do this!" said Ronnie Anne, as she and her father took off to explore the big city.

At the arcade...

*Arturo is playing pinball while Ronnie Anne eats a slice of pizza*

"Here Dad." said Ronnie Anne, handing her father his slice of pizza.

*Arturo eats it with one hand while continuing to play pinball with the other*

"Gracias mi hija!" said Arturo.

*photo transition*

At Central Park...

*Arturo and Ronnie Anne are playing soccer in the park*

"Ha!" shouted Ronnie Anne as she kicked the ball.

"*dives for the ball but misses* Oh!" said Arturo, as he landed quite hard on the ground.

"GOOOOAL!" exclaimed Ronnie Anne, as she began running around the field. Arturo chuckled to himself, amused by the display.

*photo transition*

At Bruno's hot dog stand...

"Wow! These hot dogs are incredible! ¡Muy delicioso!" exclaimed Arturo, in awe.

"I told you Dad. Bruno has the best dogs in the city." said Ronnie Anne.

"Aw shucks. Thanks Ronnie Anne. But hey, don't you two have a wrestling match to get to?" asked Bruno.

"Oh yeah! We're gonna be late! Come on Dad! Thanks Bruno!" said Ronnie Anne, dragging her father behind her.

"Hey, don't mention it." said Bruno.

*photo transition*

At a luchador wrestling match...

"Yes! Yes! Aw man! This is some pure lucha libre action! Right Dad?...Dad?" said Ronnie Anne, turning to see an empty seat beside her.

"HELP! RONITA!"

"*gasps* Dad!" exclaimed Ronnie Anne, in shock.

*Arturo somehow ended up on one of the wrestler's shoulders and gets spun over his head*

*photo transition*

After the match, in the infirmary...

*Arturo is lying in a hospital bed with Ronnie Anne beside him*

"Uh...sorry about that. I really don't know how that happened." said the wrestler, feeling guilty.

Arturo didn't respond, but gave a thumbs up as a signal that he forgave the wrestler.

*photo transition*

Ronnie Anne and Arturo stop to rest on a city bench.

"Wow mi hija. These are some great photos. You may have a future as a photographer." said Arturo, looking at the pictures Ronnie Anne had taken.

"*laughs* I'm not that good. You should see Aunt Frida's photos. She's the real photographer." said Ronnie Anne.

"If you say so I suppose. *sighs* Today really was a great day Ronita." said Arturo.

"Yeah it was...I just wish Bobby could've been here to enjoy it with us." said Ronnie Anne, feeling guilty.

"I know mi hija. I wish he was here too. But I believe that Bobby will be found and saved, and his kidnappers will be brought to justice." said Arturo confidently.

"...I'll make sure of it." said Ronnie Anne, without thinking.

"¿Que mija?" said Arturo, confused on what he just heard.

Ronnie Anne suddenly realized what she just said and quickly tried to cover it up by moving the conversation along.

"Uh...Oh hey! Look! We're close by the pier! Come on! If we hurry we can catch the sunset!" said Ronnie Anne, as she ran off towards the pier.

"Uh, Ronita! Wait mija!" exclaimed Arturo, as he chased after his daughter.

Little did they know however, that someone appeared to be following them.

A few minutes later at the City Pier...

*Ronnie Anne stops to catch her breath on the boardwalk*

"*pants* Ronita! There you are! *pants* Why did you run off like that?" asked Arturo.

"Sorry Dad. I just...really wanted you to see the pier. It's beautiful at sunset." said Ronnie Anne, gesturing to the setting sun behind them.

"Aye. It truly is mija." said Arturo, taking in the scene before him.

Unfortunately, this peaceful moment was about to be interrupted.

*razor blades suddenly rip through a tent and nearly hit a crowd*

"*spider senses tingle* Huh?" said Ronnie Anne confused.

Her spider senses suddenly put her on high alert.

"What's wrong Ronita?" asked Arturo.

"Get down!" exclaimed Ronnie Anne, as she made her father duck down just as a razor blade would have struck him.

"What's going on?!" asked Arturo confused.

Before he could receive an answer, more razor blades flew through the air and people barely dodged being struck down by them. Some of the blades ended up striking a helium tank that was used to fill balloons. This caused pressure to build up in the tank and it exploded creating a huge cloud of smoke and dust.

"*coughing* Something's going on here..."

"Ronnie Anne! Are you alright?" asked Arturo concerned.

"I'm fine Dad, but-"

Ronnie Anne suddenly paused as her super hearing suddenly kicked in.

"What?...What is it Ronita?...Why won't you answer me?!" asked Arturo, getting frustrated.

*a buzzing sound is heard fast approaching*

"*sighs* Another pest..." said Ronnie Anne, not enthused.

Just then, Razorwing burst through the dust cloud about to capture Ronnie Anne who quickly pulled herself and her father out of the way.

"Who-Who is that?!" asked Arturo, freaked out.

Razorwing suddenly brandished more razor blades in his hands, ready to throw them.

"Someone who is not friendly!" exclaimed Ronnie Anne, tugging on the arm of her father.

"R-Ronnie Anne?!" exclaimed Arturo, really confused.

"I promise I'll explain later Dad. Right now, we've gotta move!" exclaimed Ronnie Anne, as she and Arturo took off with a great deal of speed.

Razorwing gave chase after them.

The cloud of dust was still thick over the pier which gave the perfect cover to Razorwing, who zipped about undetected. However, Ronnie Anne was still able to track where he was via her distinct sense of hearing.

Eventually, the father and daughter found themselves at the edge of the pier with no escape in sight.

"Oh Ronita, I think the exit was back that way!" said Arturo, now very nervous.

"Well, that's not an option anymore!" exclaimed Ronnie Anne, as she instinctively pulled Arturo out of the way of an incoming blade once again.

"This guy is not giving up. I'm gonna have to fight him." thought Ronnie Anne to herself.

Suddenly, Razorwing appeared in front of them and started throwing his deadly projectiles once more. Ronnie Anne started nimbly dodging the blades and landed in a fighting stance.

Razorwing saw this and started flying forward. However, his target didn't seem to be Ronnie Anne...

*Ronnie Anne gasps*

All Arturo remembered seeing was a dragonfly humanoid flying towards him, ready to scoop him up, when he was suddenly pulled out of harm's way.

"Huh? *looks down at his arms and sees web strands hanging off of them* Are these webs?" asked Arturo.

Just then, Arturo received the shock of his life. He saw his daughter shoot web blasts at Razorwing which disoriented him a bit.

*Arturo is frozen in shock*

Ronnie Anne saw that her father was understandably confused and realized that she needed to handle this situation.

"*taps button on her pendant and turns into Tarantula* It's time to wrap this up!" exclaimed Tarantula.

At this point, the dust cloud had pretty much cleared itself out and the pier was now empty except for Tarantula, Razorwing, and a still very shocked Arturo.

Razorwing managed to remove the webbing from his helmet and refocused his sights on Tarantula.

"You cannot escape me little girl. I must bring you with me to complete my mission." said Razorwing.

"I'm not going anywhere with you! But you know where you're going? To jail when I'm done with you!" said Tarantula, as she shot out two web ropes that attached themselves to Razorwing.

As she pulled herself up, ready to deliver her signature jump kick, Razorwing suddenly performed a corkscrew motion which completely messed up Tarantula's momentum. Her webs broke and Tarantula found herself hitting the hard wooden deck of the pier.

"*grunts* Alright. Guess that's not gonna-"

Before Tarantula could finish her sentence, she was suddenly forcefully shoved backwards into a pole. Razorwing was about to strike her with another one of his razor blades but Tarantula held his arm back.

She shot out a web with her other hand and it attached to a cotton candy machine. Tarantula quickly pulled the cotton candy machine to herself and smashed Razorwing between the machine and the pole.

The super spider had managed to duck between Razorwing's legs and for the first time ever found herself confused on what to do in a battle.

"Ronita! Are you alright? Do you need help?" asked Arturo concerned.

"No, just stay there! I've got thi-"

Tarantula was once again cut off as Razorwing was back on the offensive. He threw more of his razor blades which Tarantula dodged. She then shot out webs that attached themselves to Razorwing again but this time Razorwing did something completely unexpected.

He grabbed the web ropes and started spinning Tarantula around. Tarantula tried to hold her footing but she quickly lost it and was lifted into the air. Razorwing then let her go and Tarantula was sent flying into a lamppost.

*Tarantula hits the lamppost and then hits the ground*

"*groans* Who is this guy?" asked Tarantula, struggling to get up.

Before she could do so however, Razorwing suddenly scooped her up and took her high into the sky.

"Aah!" cried Tarantula.

"Mi Ronita!" exclaimed Arturo, as he ran over to where she was but it was too late.

"*panting* Oh no. No! No! NO! NO! What am I going to do?" said Arturo to himself.

Just then, Arturo heard a static sound close by him. He looked down at his feet and saw a headset sitting there.

"*picks it up and puts it on* Hello? Is anyone there?...We need help!" exclaimed Arturo desperately.

Meanwhile, Tarantula was still struggling to get free from the clutches of Razorwing.

"*grunts* Let me go!" said Tarantula desperately.

However, Razorwing wouldn't budge. He was focused on completing his mission.

"Will you at least tell me your name?" asked Tarantula.

"*looks down at her* Razorwing." said Razorwing, cold and monotonous.

Tarantula was really freaked out at this point. She realized they were getting further and further away from the pier and she was not willing to give up like this.

*Tarantula releases her acid venom which only slightly corrodes Razorwing's armor*

"That won't work." said Razorwing.

Just when it seemed that our spider heroine was out of options, Rocket came flying in out of nowhere and struck Razorwing head on using his golden shield. This disoriented him which caused him to lose his grip on Tarantula.

Tarantula was sent plummeting towards Great Lakes City but she quickly regained her bearings and formed a web board around her feet to soar to safety. She landed in an alleyway and was about to call the Web Rogues for help but then realized that she was missing her communicator.

"What the? W-Where's my communicator?!" said Tarantula flustered.

"It's cool Santiago. *skates up to her carrying Arturo* We got the message." said Express, with Friction right behind her.

"Here's your communicator." said Friction, handing the communicator back to Tarantula.

"Ronita!" exclaimed Arturo as he knelt down to hug his daughter.

"I was so worried!" said Arturo, with tears in his eyes.

"I'm okay Dad. But um, I kinda have to tell you something later." said Tarantula.

"Well I can see that mija, but I think you have something more important to deal with at the moment right?" said Arturo, giving his daughter a smile.

"Right." said Tarantula, getting her determination back.

"*gasps* Incoming!" yelled Friction.

Tarantula suddenly turned around and saw Razorwing flying intently towards her. However, his flight was suddenly cut short as he was mysteriously suspended in midair.

"Whoa there buddy! You've just landed in my orbit!" said Orbit, using her anti-gravity belt to keep Razorwing at bay.

"Wow! Two for two on the zingers there Orbit!" said Tarantula.

"Thank you." said Orbit, proud of herself.

"*lands in the midst of the group* Now let's take care of this chump!" said Rocket.

Orbit then proceeded to shake Razorwing up, down, and all around which made him completely disoriented.

"That's what you get for messing with my best friend!" exclaimed Orbit.

However, at that same moment, police sirens could be heard fast approaching the scene.

"Uh oh. We better jet guys." said Express.

"You're right. We gotta go. Orbit, put him down." said Tarantula.

"Awww..." said Orbit, as she reluctantly turned the dial on the belt which set the gravity around Razorwing back to normal.

Tarantula and the Web Rogues then booked it out of there, with Express carrying Arturo once again.

As Razorwing looked up from the ground, he saw Tarantula swinging away. He was still disoriented however, and didn't give chase. His eyes narrowed as he watched her get away. This clearly wasn't over.

Later that night on the rooftop of the Casagrandes apartment building...

"Do you think we got away from him?" asked Sameer.

"*listens intently for a few seconds* Yeah. I think we lost him...For now." said Tarantula.

"Who was that guy anyway Ronnie?" asked Casey.

"I don't know, but I think I have a pretty good idea of who he works for." said Tarantula.

*Arturo clears his throat*

Tarantula and the Web Rogues suddenly looked in his direction. Tarantula could tell that he had some questions to ask.

"Uh guys? Do you mind if I talk to my dad in private?" asked Tarantula.

"Of course not Santiago. We're outta sight." said Nikki, as she and the other Rogues left the rooftop through the roof access door.

As soon as they left, Tarantula turned to face her father and removed her mask and hood, now standing before Arturo as Ronnie Anne.

"Ronita...you're..."

"Tarantula...I'm Tarantula, the hero of Great Lakes City. I'm sorry I've been keeping this from you Dad but...*sheds a tear* There's a reason why." said Ronnie Anne.

"What is it mija?" asked Arturo, concerned as to why his daughter was crying. He knew Ronnie Anne wasn't really one to bare her emotions like that.

"*sniffles* Remember yesterday in the taxi when you were wondering why Tarantula didn't save Bobby?...I tried to save him. I did...But BUTTERFLY!" exclaimed Ronnie Anne suddenly.

She was now visibly shaking and upset.

"Ronita, Ronita, calm down. What's this about a butterfly?" asked Arturo, still confused.

"*wipes tears with her sleeve* Her name is Madame Butterfly. She's the one who has Bobby. She's always watching me wherever I go. And she's already tried to capture me more than once. Today was just the latest attempt." said Ronnie Anne.

"Wait wait wait. Why is she after you? And why did she take Bobby?" asked Arturo, very confused.

"*lets out some more tears* She's a scientific activist who experiments with insect DNA. My friends and I were investigating her labs one night when the accident happened...I...I ended up with spider DNA being infused into me. That's how I got spider powers. And that's why Butterfly's after me. She wants her DNA back." said Ronnie Anne.

"So...what about Roberto? Did-Did he get powers too?-"

"No! No! Bobby was completely innocent! This was all my fault Dad...All my fault. Since I wouldn't give up the DNA, Butterfly sent one of her minions to kidnap Bobby and she showed up at our house to fight me as a distraction...By the time I realized what was going on...it was too late. Butterfly disappeared with Bobby and left the city. And I have no idea where she is now." said Ronnie Anne.

She suddenly sat down on the roof, exhausted physically and emotionally. Arturo was still trying to process what he was just told.

"So that's the truth huh...*sits beside her* Does your mother know about this?" asked Arturo.

"Of course. Everyone else in the family knows already. Even some of my friends...I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner Dad. I was scared to tell you. I didn't want you to be mad at me for losing Bobby...*sniffles* It's all my fault..." said Ronnie Anne, now breaking down crying.

"*hugs her to him* Mi Ronita. I could never be mad at you for something like this. This was not your fault. It takes a really strong person to get through a tragedy like this and try to correct their mistakes. Ronnie Anne, look at me...*she looks up at him* I'm very proud of you. It is very admirable what you are doing for Bobby. You're tirelessly searching for him while also fighting crime! *chuckles* I can't believe my daughter's a superhero." said Arturo, with a smile.

Ronnie Anne just smiled back at him.

"But I want you to remember something Ronnie Anne. Even though you're a superhero, it doesn't mean you have to stand alone. You have your familia...*glances behind him and sees a slightly open roof access door*...You have your good friends..."

The Web Rogues all sheepishly poked their faces out from behind the door. Sid nervously waved.

Ronnie Anne actually let out a chuckle despite still feeling a little down.

"...And you have me. I love you, mi Ronita. I will always be here for you. Nothing will ever change that. And we will all find Bobby. Together." said Arturo, standing to his feet and extending his hand out to Ronnie Anne.

Ronnie Anne took his hand and the two suddenly embraced in a great big hug.

"Aww! This is so touching!" exclaimed Sid, as she suddenly joined the embrace as well.

"*laughs* Sid..." said Ronnie Anne.

"Whoops! Sorry! I let my emotions get the better of me again!" said Sid.

Ronnie Anne, Arturo, and Sid all let out a laugh and the rest of the Rogues joined them.

They then all came together for another group hug.

Whoo! That sure was something. I hope you guys enjoyed this episode as it was to serve as Arturo's introduction into this series. I know this is very different from how he was introduced in the show, but hey, different universe, different circumstances.

Anyway, that's gonna be it from me. Let me know what you thought of this episode and if you're excited for this series to continue. Great Lakes City still has a lot in store for our purple clad spider heroine, Tarantula! However, what exactly is in store you'll just have to wait and see!

Thank you all for reading. This has been 65rogeryork and I'm gone. Bye!
