You have mail...

"Hello Saurial," Zephron welcomed Taylor as she arrived at the DWU. Amy was at the hospital this afternoon with 'Metis' helping her today, the two of them would be around later, so Taylor was planning on working on a project or two of her own until they showed up. "Oh, about an hour ago the mail room guys asked me to send one of the family by, apparently you girls haven't been picking up your letters."
"We have letters to pick up?" Taylor wondered, curious. "Since when?"
"The BBFO building is in the DWU facility," Zephron explained. "And the entire DWU has a shared mail room for buildings within it. Deliveries tend to go straight to the appropriate building, granted, but letters end up in the mail room. You have to swing by to pick them up."
"Huh," Taylor mused. "I guess that makes sense. I suppose I should go pick things up. Thanks for letting me know."
"So that's why Jim looked so pale when I checked on him," Amy snickered as she and Lisa entered the BBFO office. "I had been wondering what that was about."
"What happened here?" Lisa asked, drawing Amy's attention to the room as they noticed a pile of mail bins next to the table that Taylor and Saurial were sitting at. Both had a wastebasket on one side of them, a mail bin next to them, and piles of paper around them on the table itself. "Is that mail?"
"We haven't been picking up our letters from the mail room," 'Saurial' said. "We are making good progress through the ones addressed to Saurial, Raptaur, and Kaiju."
"The Metis ones are over by the computers," 'Taylor' said. "The Ianthe ones are by Amy's workshop."
"Crap," Lisa said, looking at her small pile by the computers. "We are in the DWU compound, giving a valid address for letters. Why didn't I notice that we didn't seem to be getting any?"
"Damnit," Amy groaned, looking over her medium-sized pile of mail bins. "I thought I had enough of this as Panacea." She then popped into her workshop to get into Ianthe.
A couple of hours later Danny came by to check on the girls. He found the four of them buried in piles of mail. "So girls," Danny finally said after a few half-hearted hellos. "What exactly is going on?"
"Never dawned on us that BBFO would start getting letters in the mail room," Lisa said, sounding annoyed at the very concept. "So we have a bit of a backlog."
"At least they sorted them for us," Amy commented. Then looked over at 'Saurial' and added "at least Lisa and I only have one identity to get mail for, though."
"I also already went through anything addressed just to 'The Family' on top of that," 'Taylor' said. She then gestured to a specific pile of letters. "Those, in particular, would have given us an extra three days warning on Skidmark's quest, apparently, given that the entire pile is warnings that he was poking around. Many of them with apologies for the fact he got away with his life."
"Huh," Lisa said. "I guess that makes sense, not that an extra three days would have changed much. Most of mine so far have been thank you letters for helping various people with the occasional request to heal someone if I am in a given area of the country in the future."
"Most of mine are along the same lines," Amy said. She then looked down at the one she was currently reading. "This one even says it is considered 'bad form' to pester Panacea for this kind of thing these days, given her age combined with having enough on her plate already. New Wave actually hired someone to go through this kind of thing for us, and me in particular, when the number of requests coming in got excessive so I had thought I was done with it until after I graduated at a minimum."
"Saurial and Raptaur have a number of people, many of them likely tinkers, interested in their matter creation trick," Taylor said, pointing at another pile. Then she moved her finger over to a fairly small pile and continued. "Those are thank yous for fixing things broken, either right away or shortly afterwards. Apparently most capes don't bother."
"Kaiju has a number of people offering bribes to stay away from places," Saurial continued. "Though there are a number of requests for information on the matter creation there too. I think all of the family have a number of fans that have written as well without any real motive."
"I already wrote a bunch of replies to kids," Taylor said, pointing at a mostly filled bin off to the side with sealed envelopes in it. "Most of these don't need a reply, though. And the Skidmark warnings are generally all lacking a return address to reply to. Though there was one thing..." She then picked that pile up and flipped through it for a moment before stopping to read one letter again. She then turned to look at Danny. "Here it is. Apparently Antonio sends his regards."
"Well this is interesting," Saurial said reading a just-opened letter. "Fifth or sixth one warning us about Crawler possibly coming this way, but this one is addressed to Kaiju specifically and has their grandmother's meat seasoning recipe included."
Working on and off for a few days they made it through the backlog and Lisa had Taylor put up a reminder by the door to visit the mailroom at least every other day so they could keep up with things.
