A/N: Hey! Long time, no see, I know. I've been busy doing college prep stuff, and experimenting with different avenues of freelancing. College is /expensive/, guys.
This is the last in the mini-arc requested by bradburythequeen about people protecting Adam in various ways. I hope you enjoyed it!
Now some business:
Guys, this story has been an utter blast to write, amd it's crazy how close to 100 we're getting. Now that this arc is done, I just have a Bree-centric arc that girlygirl189 requested, and then a quick epilogue, and we'll reach that hundred. Then, I'll probably take a break from LR drabbles, but future drabbles will happen, I know. Thoughts on if that should be on this story or a new one? Whatever is easier for you guys, really. :)
Episode: None
Warnings: Bullying
Rating: low T, for angst
Inspiration: Request for protective sibling fluff, and the fact that Adam tends to get led on a lot. He's easy to make fun of.
Be the reason someone smiles today! :D
Sometimes, Adam had problems seeing when people at school weren't being genuine. He was frequently was left standing confused and hurt as they walked away, laughing at cruel jokes.
Bree was usually the one to realize what was going on, and she always came for him.
"Hey, Adam," she greeted, tucking her arm under his. "Wanna talk about it?"
And he did, about how they'd made fun of his attitude, his art, and weird family. Bree was a good listener, and Adam felt lighter after getting it out.
He grinned at her. "Thanks, Bree. For listening."
She smiled back. "Anytime."
