Chapter 17
Recap: No longer angry, Hikaru looks at his brother and Izumi and then at Kazuna and says, "Oh shit."
After Hikaru not saying anything else, the girls walk away to go get changed for dinner. After the girls leave Kaoru smacks Hikaru and says, "what happened?! That was your chance!" Hikaru looks at Kaoru and says, "I just realized I liked her, what was I supposed to do?!" Kaoru shakes his head, "You knew you had feelings, you just had to admit it." Kaoru sighs at Hikaru's silence and says, "Come on, let's go get ready for dinner." Hikaru just nodded and they walked to their room.
After the girls are done getting ready, Izumi heads to the kitchen to see if she can help with anything. Kazuna, knowing she's trash at cooking, helps set the table instead. As everyone came down for dinner they noticed the tension between Tamaki and Haruhi and the uncomfortable air between Hikaru and Kazuna. When dinner was served, everyone just watched as Haruhi piled a ton of crab onto her plate and just kept eating. No one wanted to be the one to break the silence so they just watched and ate their own food slowly. Izumi made herself and Kazuna something different since they both hated seafood. They still ate slowly, not wanting to be the ones to break the tension. Haruhi just eats, making a pun every once in a while, which was starting to irritate Tamaki. After a few minutes he finally snaps. "Maybe you should slow down." He says. Haruhi just cracks another crab leg in response. "I thought you weren't talking to me." Tamaki jumps up from his seat, "I'm not. Kyoya, show me to my room please. I'm done eating." Kyoya sighs, "excuse me everyone" and gets up to show Tamaki his room. Kazuna follows to try and get Tamaki to understand why they all did what they did.
After Tamaki and Kyoya leave, the other hosts tell Haruhi about how worried they were for her. Still ignoring that Izumi was thrown off with her. Izumi, not even looking up from her food, mumbles "It's all good guys. I totally wasn't there with her. Thanks for the love." Kaoru hears her, seeing as they were sitting next to each other, and grabs her hand. She gives him a sweet look and squeezes his hand in response. Haruhi finally stops eating and gets up. "Oh it finally got through to you huh?" Hikaru says. In response she just runs out to find a bathroom.
*With Tamaki and Kazuna*
As they were in Tamaki's room Kazuna says, "You know we only did it to protect ourselves and the guests from getting hurt. You guys were too far away and there was nothing else we could do." Tamaki nods, finally starting to understand. "You should talk to Haruhi. She's dense and needs to know that you understand." Kazuna says. "I will. I just need to get something for this sunburn from Kyoya." Tamaki says. "Wanna walk back with me?" Kazuna nods and they start walking to Kyoya's room.
*Back with Haruhi*
Haruhi runs to the closest bathroom she could find, which just happened to be Kyoya's. Haruhi looks around the room to see who's room it was. She sees someone in the room and asks, "Who are you?" The man then replies "don't be silly. It's just me." Haruhi seeing the man put on his glasses. "Kyoya-senpai?" Haruhi bows in apology saying "Senpai, I really didn't mean to make everybody worry about me today." Kyoya sits up taking a drink of his water and sighs before replying with "thanks but I wasn't especially worried although," he stands up while finishing his sentence "although I did have a hard time separating Kaoru and Hikaru from those two punks. They almost beat them half to death." As he starts to walk over to the wall closest towards her he continues saying "and because of you, I had to send each of the girls a bouquet of flowers to apologize. They've been looking forward to this trip and we don't want to disappoint them." As he reaches the light switch Haruhi says in response " I'll pay you back for the flowers senpai." Before he turns off the lights he says "Each bouquet cost me 50,000 yen . That's a grand total of 600,000 yen, Haruhi" In the now darkened room Kyoya turns and closes the gap between them. From one second to the next Haruhi went from standing upright to being pressed into cloud white sheets, Kyoya looming over her. A smirk settles in the corner of Kyoya's mouth before he suggests, "If you want to, you can pay me back with your body" Haruhi feels the weight of Kyoya's legs on either side of her as they sink into the bed. Unsure of what to do she stares up at him questioningly. He leans closer, " Surely, you aren't so naive that you actually believe a person's sex doesn't matter." He looks her in the eyes saying "you've left yourself completely defenseless against me." Haruhi looks up at Kyoya, processing what he was saying. She slowly realizes what he's doing and says, "You won't do it Kyoya-senpai. I know because it wouldn't do any good. You wouldn't gain anything from it." Kyoya starts to laugh as he slowly sits up and gets off of her. "You're right. You're a fascinating woman Haruhi." Haruhi sits up and says, "You're right, but I've learned something from this though."
As Haruhi says, "I've never realized what a nice guy you are senpai," the door opens and Tamaki and Kazuna walk in. "Kyoya~! Do you have any lotion? This sunburn is worse than I thought." Tamaki says, not noticing the situation. Kazuna looks at Kyoya, noticing him shirtless with a towel on his shoulders and Haruhi half laying on the bed. She looks sad as she waits for him to answer Tamaki. When Tamaki finally notices the situation he gasps and yells, "You bastard!" Kyoya just throws the 'sun protector' bottle at him and says "Here. Use as much as you want you big goof." He then leaves and Kazuna follows him out. Kazuna grabs his arm and drags him to her and Izumi's room. After a few seconds, Kazuna looks up at him and says, "So what was going on back there?" Kyoya says while smirking, "If you must know, I was trying to teach Haruhi a lesson." He then takes a step closer to her and whispers in her ear, "Maybe I should have been teaching you instead." Before Kazuna can say anything the door is kicked open by Izumi. "TELL A SHAWTY COME HERE BOUT TO BLOW HER BACK OUT" After noticing the two within close proximity of each other, Izumi decides to finish the lyric "WALKING FUNNY FOR THE YEAR I GOT THREE BITCHES ON ME LIKE THE THREE MUSKETEERS" Then points to Kyoya and sings loudly " AYE AYYEE, BITCH, SHAKE THAT ASS OR KICK ROCKS." The two stare at her with straight faces, neither knowing what to say at the moment. Seeing as the two weren't going to participate in her antics she decides to ask, "Hey….got any of that sun protector?" Kyoya just sighs "Tamaki has it in my room. He was using it but he should still be in there." Izumi nods and turns around to dart out the door. After a moment you hear once again further down the hall "TELL A SHAWTY COME HERE- WHAT THE FUCK" Worried Kazuna and Kyoya start to head towards the room. "What's up?" Kazuna says and they get to the door, not looking into the room yet. "Turns out the cult leader is into the kinky shit" Izumi says as the two look at what was going on in the room. In the room was Tamaki holding onto Haruhi who had a blindfold and headphones on. "He really does take that daddy role to a new level huh?" Kazuna says with a disturbed look on her face. Izumi and Kyoya nod their heads in agreement. All the commotion brought the rest of the host club towards the room, "what's with all the yelling about this time?" The twins stand beside the three looking at the two and say in unison "You nasty pervert. What kind of foreplay is that." The girls look at each other before Izumi says "Yaeh, do you even have a safe word?" Mori and Kaoru both whip their heads towards her. Kaoru turns beet red while Mori simply raises an eyebrow and smirks.
Tamaki starts freaking out and yelling about how he's not a pervert, the hosts not believing him, sends him into his emo corner. Getting bored with the situation, the girls start to head back to their room. Soon the rest of the hosts follow suit. As the girls were getting ready for bed they started talking about their day and how the whole confrontation with the twins went. "I thought you didn't really like Kaoru in that way. Why did you say it back?" Kazuna asks Izumi while getting her pajamas out. Izumi shrugs her shoulders while replying "I don't really know I was feeling pressured and just said it back but I know I'll feel even worse telling him that I didn't mean it" Kazuna looks at her and says, "You're gonna have to tell him. You can't lead him on." izumi sighs and goes and sits on Kazuna's bed "I know, I'll talk to him about it the next time we are alone. What are we gonna do if they try and ask one of us out before we can tell them we don't like them like that though?" she asks. Kazuna goes to sit next to her sister. "I honestly don't know. We gotta be honest with them though." Izumi nods "We could always stop flirting with them" she jokingly says. "It's fun though." Kazuna replies while laughing. The girls laugh for a minute and Kazuna adds, "Well we can start by not reciprocating their advances subtly." Izumi nods and says, "sounds good."
Before the girls could get into bed they heard a knock on the door. Izumi went to answer it as she was closer to it. "What?" she says as she opens the door. Kaoru looks at her in confusion "Is that really how you answer the door?" Inzumi without hesitation replies yes. "Oh well I was wondering if you could come talk with me for a second." he asks. Instead of replying she just closes the door and motions for him to lead the way. On the way towards the secret destination Izumi walks completely silent and with a dead serious glances at her shocked that she's so quiet but as he goes to ask her what's wrong she bursts out singing "mamaaaa! Just killed a man, put a gun against his head, pulled the trigger now he's dead!" He goes to question her about what the fudge just happened but before he could get the question out she bursts out singing again. " Mammaaaaa ooooooowooooohhhh! Didn't mean to make you cryy. If I'm not back again this time tomorrooowwww carryyyyyy oooonnnn carry ooonn as if nothing really matters." Before she could start singing again he asks "what the hell are you doing?" She glances at him while replying " it's one of the songs stuck in my head and I figured singing out loud might help." He just nods figuring the logic would only make sense in her head and it was no use fighting over it. After a few turns the two ended up in the kitchen where Hikaru was digging in the fridge.
As the two come into the kitchen he looks over at them, " sweet lets get started" Hikaru says with his arms full of different foods. Izumi looking confused asks "start what?" Hikaru turns to Kaoru saying "you didn't tell her ?" Kaoru sighs and replies "no I didn't get the chance. She started singing." Hikaru just shakes his head before setting all the food on the counter and turns to face Izumi. " I need your help with coming up with a plan to ask Kazuna out." Izumi still looking confused goes "What do you mean to ask her out? Ask her out how?" As discreetly as possible she texts Kazuna saying 'we need to act quick. They're planning already. Come to the kitchen. Act surprised.' Kaoru waves his hand in front of her face, "You paying attention? We need your help." Izumi just moves his hand from her face and says "Yeah, just zoning out cause I'm hungry and want snacks." She then proceeds to grab a bag of chips and motions them to keep talking. "Continue." she says and starts munching on the chips as she half ass listens to the plan nodding when they look in her direction. Izumi only perks up and faces towards the twins when she hears someone walking towards the kitchen. "Shush your faces. I hear someone coming." she says with a mouth full of food. The room is silent until the person walking finally gets to the kitchen. "What's up peeps?" Kazuna says as she heads to the fridge. "What's poppin brand new whip just hopped in." Izumi replies. As Izumi looked up at the three other people in the room with her, two of them looked done with her shit. "Just feelin' snacky. Whatcha guys up to?" Kazuna says, ignoring the twins' looks. Hikaru looks at Kazuna and says, "Oh nothing. Planning a prank on the boss with Izumi." Kazuna grabs some snacks and looks back at the twins. "Well I want my sissy back so I'm stealing her." Izumi just gets up and also grabs some more snacks. "Well you heard her. Time for me to go." As the girls are walking out, the twins just look at them with confusion but also annoyance. The girls, not even looking back, say in unison, "Night boys! See ya in the morning." The room is just silent as they leave and head back to their room with the stolen snacks.
On the way back to their rooms Kazuna says, "We need to do something about that. Fast. No more playing around." Izumi agrees and when they get to their room they start planning on how they're going to tell the twins how they feel and how they're feeling about Mori and Kyoya. The girls spend most of the night talking about everything, needing to get more snacks at some point to keep their brains active. Soon enough the girls see the sun rising and the girls decide that they wanted to make some real food so off to the kitchen they went. As they're preparing the ingredients for their breakfast, the hosts start to trickle into the kitchen, some still sleepy. As they started to put everything together they heard one of their phones go off. Before either of the girls could answer Tamaki grabbed it saying " Helllloooo~~~" Immediately after he heard the line click and then he looks at the phone then back to the girls pouting with his shoulders slumped. He then trudges out to the dining room. The girls just shrug and keep cooking. Five or so minutes later they hear one of their phones go off again but with both their hands busy they ask one of the boys to get it. Honey this time answers it with " Hi I'm Honey and I like cake! Do you?" Instead of getting an answer he just hears a click. He pouts and turns to the rest of the club members in the kitchen " I don't think they like cake" he says before slowly walking into the dining room to join Tamaki. Again ten minutes later their phone started ringing, this time the twins answered it. "Yeah-" Hikaru started "Who dis be-" Kaoru finished and again without getting an answer they heard a click. The twins, annoyed they got hung up on as well, took Haruhi with them to the dining room to wait for breakfast.
The girls share a look before turning to the remaining two boys before saying together "How bout next time put the phone on speaker and let us talk." Kyoya and Mori just nod in agreement. As the four all silently work together to finish making breakfast, one of the girls' phones starts to get a notification for a video call. Mori-senpai being the one closest to the phone answers it while setting it near the girls. " Finally I get the right set of children!" their father says throwing his hands up in joy. The girls laugh and explain that they have been making breakfast so the other members had been answering the phone for them. " Girls I thought we told you no more than 2 boys in the house over night" their mom says from out of view of the camera. " Jokes on you, we aren't at the house we're at Kyoya's beach house, so ha" Izumi says while flinging dough around the counter. Kyoya, who was silently eavesdropping, speaks up "I thought you had gotten the permission slip signed?" he says with a raised eyebrow. The girls wave their hands and say " I don't know why you believed us or the signature, you know they're never home. Besides this isn't a school event!" The parents silently laugh at the interaction going on. After their conversation calmed down, their parents spoke up " Well our trip is going to take a little longer than planned again so we're just calling to tell you and to check up and to see how y'all are doing. Call us when you get home okay?" The girls respond back with okays and their parents hang up.
Breakfast done and over with the group all go back to their rooms to finish packing. The girls were surprisingly the first ones done so they told everyone that they were gonna go ahead and put their things in the car. When they got their things loaded and put away, they decided to take a nap in the car as they waited on the rest of them. Thirty minutes goes by before the hosts slowly start to make their way out. First out was Haruhi, followed by Mori, Honey and the twins. They all spent another fifteen minutes waiting for Kyoya to drag Tamaki out so that they could leave. The girls slept through it all seeing as they didn't sleep the night before. When everyone was finally in the car, they went on their way home, the girls asleep until they were about five minutes from their house.
After drop kicking Tamaki out of the car and into his house, Kyoya quietly and gently gets in the car and has the driver go the extra ten feet to the girls house. As gently and lovingly as possibly, he wakes them up "My darlings~ we're here, you're home~~ time to get up, do you need help bringing everything in?" The girls rub their eyes nodding and make grabby hands so he takes two trips so he can carry them both inside safely as the driver gets the bags for him.
As the driver finishes putting their bags in their rooms, Kyoya walks back over to where the girls were set on the couch. Leaning down towards the girls he says softly " okay dears~ I had the driver set all the bags in your rooms. Don't forget to call your parents when you wake up more alright? Sweet dreams my loves~~" He then kisses them both on the forehead and walks out with the driver.
Forty Five minutes later the girls wake up and facetime their parents to let them know they had safely made it home. "So how was the trip anyway?" Their mother asked. "It was fine. Izumi fell off a cliff and I got to fill out my fantasy of being a lifeguard." Kazuna said in response while Izumi nodded with a mouth full of pocky. The two freak out wondering why she was near the edge of a cliff to start with. So the girls explain in extreme detail and as dramatically as possible. Their parents start to wonder if it really is a good idea for their girls to be hanging out with these boys but then remember how happy their girls have been since they started school here. "Well that must have been a crazy time for you two. Are you okay Izumi?" Their mother asks. "Yeah, they called a doctor and we all got checked out." Izumi says as she munches on her pocky. "We're glad you're okay even though you should have called us as soon as it happened." Kaede says in a stern tone. The girls just roll their eyes and respond with a "Yes mom." After explaining all that drama the girls let slip that there was some boy drama as well. "Well, well, well. Let's make a bet before you tell us the boy drama. If we can guess which boys you like then you have to confess to them. If we get it wrong then you guys get a brand new car. Sound like a good deal?" Their dad says, liking to bet and be right on things. "Sounds good." the girls say together and wait for their parents to guess.
Their parents mute themselves so that they could talk out who they thought it could be. The girls just keep eating pocky while they wait. The longer the two adults take the more bored the girls get so they start humming the jeopardy song. After about ten minutes of their parents talking, they finally unmute to tell the girls their decision. "So we have decided. Are you ready to hear it?" their dad says, kind of excited because he feels that they're right. With as much certainty as possible he says " It's those Hitachiin twins, I know it." The girls share a look before laughing, diminishing Mark's confidence little by little the more they laugh. "Why are you laughing? We're right aren't we?" he says interrupting their laughs. The two girls share another look before bursting into laughter again while shaking their heads no. "So who is it then?" Kaede asks, also really confused. " Aaah if we told you that there'd be no surprise if we got together?" Izumi says. "I know that's not the deal but if things go as planned you'll find out kinda soon anyways." Kazuna adds after.
After hanging up with their parents the girls decide to text Kyoya and Mori in their group chat asking them if they'd like to come over. " only if you've rested enough." was Kyoya's response Before they could tell him yes he texted again " did you call your parents?" Kazuna manages to reply " yes and yes :)" Mori simply text a " okay be there in ten. ;)" When the boys arrived and got settled in the girls explained that they won a bet between them and their parents so now they need help picking out a car.
"Oh? What was the bet?" Kyoya questioned while leaning back and putting one leg over the other. "Oh thhaaaat's not important but what is is that we now are getting a car." Izumi says while going and sitting next to Mori and offering him some pocky. Kazuna pulls out their laptop and sits next to Kyoya. An hour into looking and comparing the different models and prices and they all came to an agreement on one. " Okay it should be here before school starts," Kazuna says while putting the computer away. " Slumber party?" Izumi asks while she pulls out the take out menus. As the two boys nod and go to the spare bedrooms to put on their pajamas that they keep here. Once they come back the girls already have the room covered in blankets and pillows. "We ordered chinese and pizza cause we couldn't decide. Will you guys get it if it comes while we go change?" The two nod and pull up netflix to find something to watch while the two go up to change.
