In the Slytherin Common Room, Draco struggled with Astronomy quizzes – three sheets to be submitted on the same day as the Astronomy midterm. Do we really need to memorize everything hanging in space?

In some ways Astronomy fascinated him. Especially since it's a special thing in his mother's maiden family, the Blacks – a tradition they have about naming every child. That's how he got his name - 'Draco'.

But still it's not a subject that prevents him from getting bored or wandering his mind elsewhere, desperately finding something else to do.

Whatever happened to the 'thorough security' they so strongly have been emphasizing? Didn't they think of the secret passages, for Merlin's sake?

The Deatheaters have proven themselves again to be far more dangerous than anticipated. To show up one day in Hogsmede is worrying enough.

Finally, he resorted to turning his head towards the window. Snowfalls haven't really been in a rush in leaving for the past couple of years now. Falling in great numbers, perhaps just the last few times for the year now, through the March sky, then it will be green spring.

Draco recapped…there'd be times he'd stand on tower balconies or behind railings in this castle… alone… watching the snow fall… just very briefly while lost in thought… something about snow and ice… how it takes away his mind… anything about it… even in turbulence… or just engulfing a plain day…

After long ten minutes of that, he went back to his homework. At least get one more sheet finished before moving onto something else.

Just around that moment, fresh sounds of people talking came. Draco made a brief glance to find another batch of Slytherins just emerged into the Common Room. Doing nothing but talking to themselves as they casually sat or stood around for resting. It was nothing really different so he returned his attention back to homework.

However, he found that a few minutes deeper into their conversations kept pricking his ears. By appearance they looked very interested in their discussion. Passing comments here and there as usual…not that usual though…especially since once or twice they made subtle indications or glances towards him…

The ex-deatheater, keeping his eyes focused onto the quizzes, casted a small Eavesdropping Charm to listen in from a distance.

Apparently they were trading inputs and mockery about the recent developments the Ministry initiated for Hogwarts. Planting Aurors around the castle grounds and corridors for security measures, due to the recent raid that considered the rogue Deatheaters underestimated.

"Like it would even make a difference, the ninnies…"

"Given their record of competence, this will make chances of another raid better!"

"(laughs) Yeah…perhaps mistake Gryffindors with defective firing-aims for Deatheaters…and load Azkaban up with them instead!"

"That could finally put an end to our problems…"

"Not exactly - we all know who they are really after… or keeping an eye on"

Through a glance Draco glared at the snickering crowd. Once more fighting the urges for his wand.

"Isn't it funny how people these days believe that everything is because of Malfoy"

"At least someone could make use of that frail fool…"

During NEWTS Potions that afternoon, Elsa found it kind of hard to focus on Slughorn's lecture. For one thing, he waddled once or twice from one edge of his table to another, or sometimes mumbled his words. Maybe the heavy tiredness having reached halfway through her midterms is really the problem. And Elsa tried to not think of the finals… two levels… to start working for in almost a month.

Back to today's Potions - it felt like it ended longer than usual. And perhaps everyone felt that, given how eager they were at getting up from their seats and leaving – or maybe it's because of the stingy fumes of the potion he was demonstrating to them.

But being deep in thought, it took about five minutes after everyone started to pack their things and leave before Elsa noticed it was time to do so.

So Elsa went through the crowd and made her way upstairs… from the dungeons. Having memorized a few secret passages in Hogwarts – from those years walking in it alone and to herself – came really handy especially through this year ('double' year, to be exact). But still by the time she reached her destination, she felt her legs cursing her.

Trying to escape her previous thought, Elsa resorted to thinking about around the place around her. Recapping memories. When she first ever came and was introduced to the staff by Professor Dumbledore… some lessons for herself done in the professors' offices… when she learned of her parents' death…

Her first thought however caught up with her later when she reached the small seating area tucked in the edge of a small stone room, one of the corridors leading to and from the viaduct. It was relatively circular in shape – from the outside resembles the top part of a tower fixed onto a tunnel-type path of Hogwarts.

That is where she finds the best place to read over her 'Queen-Training' notes, without giving others a chance to snoop in and uncover more of her secrets. It's not completely private – people do walk by. But private enough, and won't spark more suspicions.

While trying to catch up on a subject recently given less attention to, her mind couldn't stop thinking about the increased atmosphere at Hogwarts. Like it was waiting for an opportunity like the recent Deatheater attack on Hogsmede.

And that leaves no 'unusual' student left out, in any way. Including Elsa - some students watch her, very much wondering about her - is this remote and bizarre classmate a threat? Will she do something anytime now? And sometimes it becomes an occasional Slytherin provocation session.

As always, Elsa would have to resort to ignoring the whispering, curious stares and taunts. Sometimes with impassiveness. Sometimes with a roll of eyes… but the feelings she feels within all still boils down to the same thing.

All her life… ever since that night she accidently harmed Anna with her powers… has been enshrouded with shadows. Distance… guilt… pressure… self-doubt… mistrust… bottled-up feelings and energy… cold isolation…

This increased tension is just another reminder of that in her life. The previous being her community-service for 'working' with Voldemort and the close consideration of having her stay at Hogwarts for Christmas.

Not that the world makes room for her to be welcoming and open to everyone. It's still more like her making, holding and sticking to her own place and responsibilities. Searching for whatever would fit her while doing that. Pretty much knew that from the beginning… taking an impersonally reserved and distant attitude from her bedroom to Hogwarts with her. Wherever she went.

Like walking around with an ice enclosure.

Yes besides her little sister she has a couple of nice friends. But they're often busy with other things. Things Elsa doesn't feel fit in. And while many see her as one of their own, others look at her with suspicion, guilt, resentment…

Yes the fact of knowing and seeing this magical world exist has really allowed Elsa to feel more accepted on Earth. But like every world, there's darkness and doubt. A need to find a path more paved…for her…

Reaching the padded seats, she sat down. Pulling out her notes, she forced herself to pause that chain of thought, and get to once more studying for her new load of responsibilities. As Queen of Arendelle…with the same world around her… continuing with dismissing whatever they say or think of her as 'thick-minded'… like a queen.

Finally the midterms were done. Classes and breaks almost went to regular – just slowly readying for the Finals. But just in time for the Hogwarts Grounds to welcome warm spring into its midst.

Prefect for the students to have time with friends. Studying in the open air. Sunshine through open windows coupled with scents of flowers and fresh grass.

And more Slytherin behavior.

One of their favorite targets, more so now. That peculiar, unusually pale and remote student stalking Hogwarts since she was eleven. Who's been by herself since then and only to be watched or suspected by others – letting them be in whatever they guess about her. Perfect especially during the new heights of caution.

Now with Auors stationed around the castle, they seemed to have decided to do them a favor and expose a potential hazard. By provocation.

As taunts didn't catch her attention, casting a Diffendo onto her bag halted her in her steps – on their third attempt this week.

"What are you waiting for?" one taunted. "You attacked before, didn't you?"

Elsa gave a furious icy glare, still grabbing her papers into her bag. Feeling inches close to shooting ice but trying to suppress herself once more.

Right before she opened her mouth to retort or a thick one made an advance towards Elsa, a new voice spoke up.

"Don't you lads think you've done enough for today?"

The Auror they might have wanted to 'alert', who perhaps have now decided to step in, walked in, giving a reproving look at the culprits. And…just so happens… one bearing a similar streak of Lockhart-conduct.

"You've taken your time to process…" one Slytherin retorted like insulted.

"That is no way to speak to a Ministry Auror" he tilted his chin up at the Slytherins. "Now…before I have to report you to the Headmistress, I suggest you be off to your next classes, whatever they are. Leave the poor lady alone"

They left, grumbling and snickering. Letting Elsa finish rounding up her stuff.

"No worries – they usually take on obvious targets. That's their specialty."

Elsa took a deep breath and rose from rounding up her bag, ignoring the cold feeling still running through her fingertips, and went to put her fingers of one hand into her pocket. The other holding her bag-strap firmly.

"If you like, I could escort you to your next class…"

"No thank you – there is no need" She cut-in, simply and resolutely, hardly even looking at him. A good enough measure to make him quiet. Not bothering with anything else, Elsa just walked away.

There's one thing about some trying to be friendly and Elsa cannot help but keep herself respectfully closed-off. Then there's obnoxiousness! Like an assumption she's incapable by herself.

She continued her way towards the Great Hall for lunch, trying to not look like as if she's storming her way there.

Though she did decide to sit quietly by herself there, after eating to read. The place has become too bustled, even in the Common Room and Dormitories, for her to find time busying herself in the magnificence and awe in her surroundings during her moments of solitude. All thanks to the excitement after the raid.

So it seems it expands her studying and reading time…perhaps for the best….midterm marks were good but there's still a lot for her to brush up on.

Her reading over Herbology however were not going very well. Especially due to the combination of the racket in the Great Hall (once again students chattering about very 'interesting' new topics, gossips and rumors), the difficulty of the current material being taught in the subject, and her frustration not yet deflated from the recent encounter.

Sighing and exasperated, she got up and packed her notes. Hoping the Library would be a better choice. Given the Librarian it should.

An hour and half later, on her way to Herbology, she found the main corridor full. Naturally, as this corridor is also shared with the path to the Library, after the marks were released many decided to study early or brush up for the Finals in almost two months. Especially the NEWTs students.

Though it seemed it was crowed also due to some other factor. But not really concerned what or why unlike most of the others there, Elsa just stood to the side near a wall, waiting for the rush to go down so for her to get on with going to class.

At a similar spot Draco stood, carrying his own bag and perhaps on his way to the Library or just leaving the corridor.

Things have been relatively quiet between Draco and Elsa, mostly because of the midterms. Then of course the raid has been a very shaking event for everyone. And security almost doubled afterwards, especially with the Aurors being live-guards. Making everything more tense and hectic than ever. But they did have one more study session between the raid and start of midterms. Rather quiet and straightforward though.

The rumors can't be true, a part of her brain speaks to her like she had already finalized to herself. Not that she completely knows him… but she believes she knows just enough. People only make up stuff or assume like they know everything… when they actually don't...

For a few minutes it felt long. Awkwardly long. With a couple of hidden, awkward glances. Like a tug-of-war between the 'safe icy enclosure' each put up because of the way everyone is more so behaving now – and an edging to want to talk to the other.

Relatively quiet. During what felt like a very long hour, Draco resorted to just quietly watching Elsa at the moment, noting her face tight in thought while her eyes, though watching and waiting for the crowd to die down, hinted a turbulence inside.

Though it's more normal and effective for Elsa to wait out her stress or annoyance by herself – silently and alone. Only if she really felt she needed to she'd talk about it…thanks to all those years she'd built her own forbearance… sometimes cold-tinted…

However she was able to notice that she wasn't alone in having an internal 'turbulence'.

She opened her mouth slightly like to ask him but closed it, letting the strange awkward atmosphere resettle onto the two. So they quietly brought their minds back to waiting.

In only ten minutes later the crowd thinned just enough for them to walk through. "There's Herbology in an hour" she quietly said before she made to move. Like she felt she should.

"I know" he quietly nodded.

Both figuring nothing else to be done or said for now, Elsa left for class.

Three days later…

"Broaden your minds! And seek the answers among the stars!"

Professor Trelawney, eyes ever so huge and misplaced among the many celestial objects floating around her, waved her hands out in dramatic effect.

Wait…I don't take Divinations…and Astronomy never looks…like this.

"Take the red dwarf as an example…" the Professor waved away the planets and moons, bringing up blurred images made of giant red stars. "…as so in appearance…signs of enlargement and presence"

I never signed up for this, so what am I doing here?

"strong… mighty" Trelawney moaned on "but appearance… tells dark and grim signs for the unfortunate…often fall and death for the arrogant…"she said, as grim as her usual presentations.

You're supposed to be reading for class, Elsa...

"Or were we talking about white dwarfs…let me see, dear…" mid in her dramatic presentation, Trelawney paused and began sifting through notes from a desk appearing beside her. "smaller in space…though more brighter and hopeful…" she hummed to herself.

Elsa turned to leave while the Professor remained stuck in her notes. This is getting beyond ridiculous…

Only for her to pause, noticing that when she turned around, the entire scene changed. The gloomy blackness and the flying celestial objects disappeared, and instead Elsa found herself in a forest. Full of many trees and with the ground very course and slanted like she was uphill – like towards the mountains. Below and far she could see Arendelle.

She took a moment staring at the wonderful sight of her home. It was at night, and the sky was lit with many stars…

Then it was like the moonlight rays were growing brighter. Shining onto the castle, town, coast, fjords and water even more. Looking up, Elsa watched the moon hovering over Arendelle. Eyes locked with this seemingly captivating object, strangely so compared to the ones that were a few seconds ago encircling Trelawney. Ever so mesmerized with it.

What's even more interesting is that the moon's rays were not only bright on Arendelle, but seem to also extend its rays out and beyond. To the far horizon of the sea. Up the mountains and across the fjords.

"Oh yes! Little Hyperion…" the professor walked over like she had not disappeared with the rest of her Astronomy props, sighing up at the 'little' moon. "Ambition and curiosity are his traits… persistence can be far-fetched at times but knows loyalty and love as his limits... how much do you know about the stars, my dear?" her magnified eyes studied Elsa's face.

She shrugged, more focused on the moon and thinking 'what is Trelawney doing here?' "A good amount, perhaps. Stars are very common and significant in Norway"

"Well then…they may come in handy…one day" Trelawney spoke in a low voice. One that you can call eerie and profound…and get concerned.

Before Elsa could ask her what on Earth she meant to sound like that, and say that, she woke up, finding herself in her original spot, sitting against a tree with her textbook in her lap.

Perhaps she was inches of asking her question, as sitting nearby, Draco had looked up from his own book, concerned upon seeing her startled waking-up moment.

Was I really going to ask - out loud? And by his face, she did. She hoped her cheeks weren't too red.

"How long have you been there?" trying to not sound startled, Elsa shifted herself up from leaning against the tree, like everything's normal.

"Long enough" he watched her rub her forehead from deep sleep. He had been sitting for almost an hour on the grass waiting for her to wake up. Most of this Saturday was free, and they had planned another study session.

Finishing rubbing her forehead, she glanced to the pages of the book opened in her lap. Remembering that prior to dozing off she had been staring at a list of the varieties of Salamanders (the magical, fire-covered kind). She diverted herself from that by seeing what he was reviewing.

"Kneazles?" Elsa asked, seeing the picture in the book of a cat-looking creature with furry bat-like ears. Apparently the creature he was reading about for next Care of Magical Creatures class.

"If that's what it is" he murmured with obvious boredom from it, closing the book. "We can wait till tomorrow if you need some more sleep" Draco read the tiredness all over her face.

"I'm fine" Elsa rubbed her eyes, trying to remove the sleepiness in her voice. Actually…last night's sleep wasn't enough. But she'll have to move to other assignments and lessons, plus it's not fully certain if they'll get another free period like this.

Not fully convinced, Draco spent some seconds watching Elsa close the book. But if she said so then…"You mentioned something about needing some work on a few spells" Draco reminded, knowing very well her recent DADA results (not necessarily that she told him). Decent, but not really what the professors considered 'fabulous'. And some of the spells were ones she perhaps forgot to ask him for help on.

True – the recent spells were the hardest, especially using a few nonverbal jinxes without using ice. Too bad she can't just stick with her unikinetic dueling skills, at least for just passing the classes.

"Thought we should get this done before the Professor brings in something else, for the Finals"

Elsa thought about it. Originally she decided to ask him some Herbology pointers…as much as she hated first-hand care of the kind of varieties Sprout keeps, she's been asked on numerous occasions to be among the demonstrations (maybe because of the 'ice-crisp incident'). For academic purposes only, to the Slytherins' dismay. But he's still more helpful for her at DADA, having gotten extraordinary improvements and abilities in the subject.

"Alright - I was thinking of a break from this anyway." she closed her book and rose from sitting. "So where are we doing this?"

Draco thought about it. They should find a good place in case they need to actually practice casting the spells. And given the increased security and with the Ministry now stalking around they need someplace not suspicious but at the same time peaceful. And unfortunately most of the rooms with Hogwarts are at risk to interruptions of the Ministry workers, even the Room of Requirements.

"Let's try the boathouse" Draco finally said after a few minutes. Elsa agreed and they both made their way there.

"What made you think the Professor would introduce something significantly different next class?" Elsa asked as they walked down the stone stairs to the boathouse. The textbook's next chapters look like they will be just expanding what they already covered.

Draco shrugged, "Well she did mention something last week… and the class after we witnessed Finnegan's efforts to cancel next" he said, remembering something like that he heard. The professor did look strangely excited about it.

Elsa nodded. "Yes I think she…"

Halfway through their steps they paused as a Ministry worker was moving up the stairs to meet them.

"Where are you two going?" he asked, sounding casual but eyes not even slightly masking the look of suspicion at the two.

"Going for practice" Elsa answered directly. Like there should be nothing to worry about in the first place.

The Ministry worker shifted his attention towards Draco. Like he is his key source of suspicion. Draco gave a look of irritation, but Elsa noticed that he shifted his eyes away, giving the time he took glaring less than he normally would. Long time ago.

The ministry worker gave another look at the two, summing up whether he should trust them or not.

"Very well then" he finally made to leave, "Remember to stay within parameters" he added before continuing his way up the steps.

Soon, they were standing in the boathouse. Going over some pointers for castings the spells effectively.

But especially for Draco, it was somewhat hard to brush off the recent encounter with the Ministry worker. Especially if that was not the only one – or it was a lighter feel of utter hatred and mistrust once again thrown back at him.

Just two days ago, NEWTS students close to graduating and planning to pursue employment were made to meet visiting potential employers, while accompanied by some professors, to assess if they have met or are meeting eligibility criteria.

And it seems a Ministry employer so honored to assess the credentials of the young Malfoy couldn't help but take in more standards. By 'more', it meant beyond his academic background.

Not surprisingly. He just has to have it constantly rubbed in his face whatever his family did for the most feared Dark Wizard of all time. Plus he didn't really expect his Head of House to say anything either. Slughorn would just drop his face or fail to catch half of what the interviewer said. Not that any decision was made that day.

"They work like they haven't seen their own track record. And no one ever bothers to throw it back at their face" Draco said when they took a break. In the irritated yet moderately low tone he's first used starting his sixth year. When he's maskingly expressing his frustration – and the usual responses from fellow Slytherins would be wondering what's wrong with him, snickering, misinterpreting what he's saying, or dismissing him as mental (i.e. don't really care anyway).

Elsa shrugged, "Even if someone does, it doesn't make a difference for them" she said what is apparently a fact for the Ministry. Considering her knowledge of the concept of government, she is all too familiar with a factor that even exists among some of Arendelle's trade partners – politics. "That's why most wouldn't waste their time"

"Then what does everyone else do?" he asked, with the same tone.

Elsa had gone to straighten her bag against the wall of the boathouse. "Worry about their own issues in the mean time. And few remember to not waste the good times while doing so" she spoke straight like it's a fact that would be foolish to deny.

He was just standing by a wooden beam. Quiet. Face neutral. Grey eyes quietly watching Elsa.

"And does everyone do that?" he asked her, considering the majority of people these days.

Elsa got up. "Not everyone. Like I said, a few do."

She made a pause once more thinking about how her untimely bouts of speaking her mind… have now gotten to the 'occasional' level? But she kept that thought to herself. She turned to face him, meeting the silvery stare with deep sapphire.

"I guess that's where a lot of people make a mistake" she added.

Draco did open his mouth to say something, but decided against it, unless he refigures his words.

But he let that pass. She's right, he admitted. As right as how she said it. Like a queen. But more than that – like a friend with a strange potential.

Finding that his momentary annoyance had melted away, he found himself smiling a little. At Elsa.

A tiny part of her felt glad that he was smiling again. And she found herself smiling back at him.

Seeing her shift her eyes aside, partially masking shyness, he felt a tiny smirk tug on his face. Not like a victor – as one impressed. He quietly watched her move back to her original spot like normal.

"Game's next week?" Elsa felt herself asking. Like on impulse, part to change the rather awkward setting. While she never really bothered with these kind of things (upcoming sports, etc) beyond her years of getting used to herself. At least not before.

"Yes" While getting back to his bag and later to his studies he watched Elsa returning her focus back to her own papers. For a minute he thought of asking her something he already knows – whether she would go to the next DA session – he knows she doesn't go there. Quite a many people asked her the same or to join. Why? No real need to join a dueling club… the classes and other ways she has to learn are better. (and if he wanted her to just say something like that… nice try).

But he felt to just keep with the tiny smile she somehow managed to put on his face – as it is a wonderful fact on its own - and bring his own attention back to the book in his lap, as Elsa was doing the same.

Something about her. A strange breath. A strange wave of strength. Something impacting that barely simmering fire within, desperately staying alive after the storms of the War. A puzzle perhaps he'll never crack… yet the life in her… her remoteness… her strength… her self-assurance… her youthful regality… her warming acceptance… yet to see in others… most likely never will…

"You said you needed some help in Herbology notes?" he said, like he just remembered – before she considered leaving and that their session is done.

Elsa paused from putting the last book her bag, Did I? Remembering, she censured herself about how she forgot that…and possibly could have allowed next class's demonstration to be entertaining. "Right"

He sat there quietly, waiting for her to bring up the page and skim over with him the parts she needed to ask on. No sound except the ones from the water rippling outside the boathouse and the flipping of pages while they did so.

Like while the rest of the world scorns and works to devastate them, they find ways to trek their own paths…being who they are…finding the company of the other a strange yet iridescent, comforting fact…like filling in empty spaces they never even knew existed…more than they even know it perhaps…

They just see this cold, bitter, closed Malfoy boy. They may hate you…but they hate me even more…they might think I'm not good enough for you…maybe I'm not…maybe I don't deserve to be even near you (funny how you, only you, in a wide world I belittled)…but there's this strange voice telling me otherwise… you have your own coldness…your own hope for acceptance and affection… you have your own share of shutting your emotions down… your own ice-solid confidence and melting grief…but you somehow smile and laugh…and give me the same. Your tears somehow shake me…your silence somehow talks into mine…everything about you does. They think I'm only a downcast…they think I don't even know what feelings are…when I grew up being told feelings are foolish and could drag you into shame or insecurity…true – usually I kill my feelings to feel better…you somehow make me feel otherwise…assure me otherwise…show me otherwise…make feelings easier for me…I envy others' friendships…you seem more than just a friend…

In his mind, he intertwined his fingers with Elsa's.

Definitely more than just a friend…

EXPLOSION!

Smoke and fumes swirled in the room. If they were bigger everything would have been engulfed.

Laughter and snickering can be heard – penetrating the quiet air. Others quickly attempted their best from preventing the smoke from entering their noses.

All attention was focused on the sole cause of the disruption.

Seamus Finnegan…who didn't do very well at casting a perfect, let alone non-mortifying, Impedimenta at his opponent. Let's just say that Millicent Bulstrot was fuming even more than she'd normally be right now.

Not that he'd want to apologize, anyway.

Harry, once again, is attempting to try to avoid any chance of an outburst. Being pestered by eccentric friends to restart the DA for keeping everyone prepared in the event of a retaliation event is one thing. Having it influence the school's DADA classes directly, and being coaxed by the professor to do so, is another. For one thing… it's been very tense trying to avoid a stampede among the students, now that they are being paired up with rivals.

"Who bloody well said that they'd come along?" Ron asked Harry quietly, referring to the Slytherins who were once upon a time part of their opposing group – Umbridge's 'Inquisitorial Squad'.

"They did have their own unsatisfactory tastes of Voldemort's Dark Forces. So I'm pretty sure they are here for their own good, at least." Hermione pointed out, on Harry's behalf.

Harry took a deep breath at that. Alright… better than before…

But he figured it best, for everyone's sake again, to pause the dueling stuff (at least until the professor comes back from her 'break').

"So... ok… um…" Harry gave an announcement. "Let's take a break…" many students groaned, for various reasons, "and let's all try out a gentler spell."

To avoid disappointment, Harry quickly identified his intended refresher spell as the Patronus Charm, and went on with the vital instructions.

Soon the classroom was teeming with fascination and various white, glowing forms of corporal patronuses. Many came out pretty easily from those who've already practiced this spell not normally taught at Hogwarts. Others made good tries or were having difficulty on various levels. The rest, however, took to the sidelines to watch, finding the spell for the moment difficult to cast.

Hannah Abbot could've been considered to have made tremendous improvement, being able to at least release a mouse from her wand.

Others like Zacharias Smith's ostrich were bigger than before.

Still with some soot on her clothes, Millicent lightened up a bit after creating a snarling panther.

Meanwhile, after a long time of watching the other patronuses, Elsa couldn't help but try to make one for herself, curious of what it could be.

She tried to let memories of playing with Anna in the snow entrance her. That yielded only a puff of white wisp from her wand.

Elsa tried again, happiest memories…I was very happy when Anna got married…

"Expecto Patronum" A smaller wisp of white light escaped from her wand…still not a Patronus

Elsa thought even harder this time, trying to not let the other patronuses flying around her distract her.

"…a powerful memory… allow it to fill you up…" were Harry's tips to everyone.

That night… walking through the forest… up the mountain… by my own will… looking for Anna despite the dangers associated with doing that… playing with my ice abilities… snow everywhere… singing… the sky… the wind… the ice palace… the dress… when I felt so free… so free…

"…it can also show what you really feel inside… your inner secrets… your inner power…"

"Expecto Patronum"

A much bigger glow came out…in no time, it took form.

A medium sized white wolf appeared in the classroom. Its eyes were attentive, as it stalked around the room in a secretive and shy but curious way. Some of the other Patronuses seemed too hesitant to try to approach it – although the wolf didn't behave so threatening. Just keeping to itself, and perhaps hoping for a perfect chance to be frisky.

At one point it paused in its tracks. And locked eyes with a nearby bystander. Whose silvery eyes were just as attentive and curious as the wolf's, and finding the sight extraordinary.

After a minute, the white wolf lifted its head up. Sounding a howl into the room. A resolute, confident and strong howl. A call to freedom.

After doing so it bounded off – for a few minutes before it wisped away into thin air.

"So that explains everything"

"What?"

"This…" Draco lightly touched Elsa's braid. She moved it aside.

"If patronus is origins then I expect to find traces of fur on you" Elsa replied, keeping the thought to herself that it's fitting (and funny) for Draco. They were on their way from DADA class to the Great Hall, taking a less-used route there.

"Really?" he lightly felt his face, "might not be an accurate hypothesis"

She smirked, "Then I guess it's more on matching the personality…" she continued her tease.

"… and expressions?"

Oh no, no, no…

Yes…as she feared, Draco made an attempt at howling like a wolf. Obviously purely just to see her reaction.

And no sooner did she clap a hand to his mouth, when he barely sounded the second syllable.

"Draco! Really?" shooting an 'are you mad?' look well into his eyes.

He made muffled sounds behind her hand.

"You're nineteen, not nine…"

More muffled sounds.

"No I am not"

Draco narrowed his eyes in surprise. He made another muffled response.

"Actually, it's the fuzzy little imp I have to constantly deal with"

Another muffled response.

Now glaring, she withdrew her hand.

"And you need to trim that" she said, indicating to his hair.

As she walked away, Draco lightly felt his hair. It does need a bit. Watching her leave, he made a small, impressed smile.

After three days… Why haven't I done this before?

Seriously, Elsa thought to herself, only a few hours before a Quidditch match she'd know there's one… often through Luna's plush headgear…

And yet today she's found herself since morning knowing today's match between Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

Plus she's standing a row behind the front-most viewers, squinting and feeling tiny tense pulses after a goal is sounded.

Players in green and blue gear flew back and forth, so fast that you just see colors and outlines. And she's not fully certain why is she squinting or trying to see something. Plus sharing the inside feeling on intense jumps every time a point is sounded.

Didn't I just wonder that?

"Malfoy's caught the Snitch…"

She felt a jump in her stomach.

"SLYTHERIN WINS!"

There were disappointed groans and boos echoing around her.

Finally, with ease she caught sight of him, his green seeker robe trailing behind him as he floated around on his Nimbus 2001.

He really cannot help proudly throwing his arm up in victory, still grasping the Snitch, and receiving chants and applause from his team and the Slytherin crowd.

Some Ravenclaws have already dispersed to meet up with their Seeker Ambary, already landed onto the grass in disappointment.

"He must have kept shoving her"

"We still have a chance…"

Angry and disappointed comments shot around her. But she still felt her own face can't really resist it. Not even bothering with the thought of fellow Ravenclaws staring at her for that, she continued watching the victor with a smirk.

"If I know something about your House, it's an inefficient trade-off between Intelligence Quota and Emotional Quota"

Pretending he was holding a broom, he mimicked their chucking away of their brooms, not forgetting the facial expressions. Elsa couldn't help to giggle.

Of course he can't avoid bragging about his recent accomplishment, the minute he got a chance to catch up with Elsa again, about a week after the game. They just left from class and she was on her way to the Ravenclaw Tower.

"Perhaps that's the case" she had to admit. Ambary's a good seeker, even though this is her first year doing this after replacing Cho. Besides, she won Ravenclaw against Hufflepuff. But she's still taking it more than pretty hard. Twice she's been found sulking in the girl's bathroom.

"So if she plans on living for the next year she better take it easy" His comment received a stern glance.

"And you wouldn't offer that tip – or any for that matter" she commented

"And give away secrets?"

"Maybe just the 'basics'", she smirked, while they turned a corner.

"Well the only 'basic' I'm keeping right now is to not sit between Saint Potter and Friar Weasley during the finals" he stated.

"Oh that would be torture" Elsa said sympathetically.

"'Torture' is right", Draco agreed, "especially if they are concocting a plan to earn extra marks – through a live demonstration"

"And risk eviction from the exams all together?"

Draco shrugged, "Who knows?"

"Just remember this time to not catch something" the response was a stern glance from Draco this time, and her biting her cheek to not laugh. Very funny…maybe nothing happened to Anna because she's a muggle.

They reached a fork in the corridors. That is, one has to take a flight of stairs up to the Tower while the other goes more down the corridor. In this point no one else was present.

Right before she took to the stairs she felt him indicate for her to wait a moment. "Would it be a further blow to Ravenclaw?"

She couldn't help to smirk, "Just don't gloat about it for too long"

There was a mischievous expression on Draco's face, indicating that she may have misunderstood him.

Next thing she knew, only after a few seconds of proceeding to the stairs…he carefully held onto her arm. She turned to him…and the side of her forehead felt a warm kiss.

"I can try… considering their Princess prides herself in her remoteness a little too much" he said in a quiet, cockily charming voice.

She blinked at him.

"But as you wish…" he put a hand over his heart, "on my honor".

Ok…Elsa tried to get her attention back to normal.

"Then again…you can't help but display it…"

"Draco"

"Well… you are blushing again" he said in a cockily soft, fascinated tone.

She took a deep breath, trying to not let an embarrassed smile be so obvious.

"So we'll have the next practice in a few hours?"

Elsa bit the inside of her cheek. The cheek of this man… it's not until Monday.

"Due to circumstances…maybe postponed"

Draco's face showed like 'innocently-surprised'.

She gave him an elite 'nice-try' look, letting him know that playing innocent does not work for her.

For rebuttal, he walked up a bit, with a smug, daring look.

After a minute, he pecked one on her small, delicately-pointed nose. "Next time then" he said before leaving.

"Draco Malfoy" What to do with you? The strips of self-confidence have been slowly broadening in him – in a fresh and new way - a good thing to see.

May finally rolled in. The first month of exams – both OWLs and NEWTs.

This is it…

Elsa walked through the corridors. On her way to her first written exam.

OWLS History of Magic… you studied hard just do your best…

"You better not mess up" bitter voices came from the corridor to the side of Elsa. She turned to see that a group of Slytherin girls had been taunting students on the way to the same exam, since they were already done them and are in NEWTS for the same exam, which is to be done a few days later. "Or mistake owls for newts – like it's so hard to tell the difference"

Elsa shot a frosty 'Really?' look at them. "I can manage"

The girls snickered among themselves. "Oh…like you've been through worst" one girl said.

Then they were taken aback by the fact that, suddenly, the temperature dropped to bone-chilling and slight flurries flew in the corridor. Elsa, however, stayed tall and straight, still faced them, giving them a fitting payback.

"More than your dreams could ever imagine" she said, before turning around and leaving confidently and proudly, with a deliberate effect of her braid positioned on one shoulder.

A month later…

There she is. Standing in a glimmering long blue robe. In the line of students wearing similar robes matching their House, as well as black pointed wizarding hats. Each waiting their turn to receive their Acknowledgement of Graduation from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Waiting for her turn, Elsa stood while glancing amazed at the Convocation Hall. A hall that is sealed from everyone's sight except the budded witches and wizards –on the day they are receiving acknowledgement as fully learned for them to pursue forward with their lives.

And their family present to cheer them. Each student beamed by their family watching them.

And if family was to be present, there's absolute no reason for Elsa's own sister to be part of the celebration! As well as accompanied by Olaf.

Anna was there, seated in one of the first few rows, beaming at her sister. When they made eye contact Anna gave a subtle yet cheerful wave, and Elsa smiled back at her.

Students were presented their Acknowledgement in batches. By their Houses and then further by Excel status (for exceptional performance overall or in a particular subject, or even recognition for their outstanding performance in Quidditch). After each House group of students in the Excel status were presented their Acknowledgement, the next waves come (who simply graduated).

And it is the Head of House which presents to Acknowledgement to their respective students, after the Headmistress makes the opening statements to the ceremony.

And of course, for added touch, the House Ghosts come to glide over the next group of students matching their House, that are coming to receive their Acknowledgement. And how Peeves was successfully prevented from causing any unwanted 'special effects'…no one knows (or perhaps would want to even ask, and point out why not ban him from the REST of the School).

While Elsa waited for her turn, she recapped how she was feeling several years ago. When she first stood in Hogwarts. Waiting to be sorted and fully accepted into this wonderful, enchanting School. As a first-year. Uncertain, cautious, yet determined and curious. For exploring a world she thought wouldn't exist, yet could better explain her own existence. For determining her place and building her confidence, regardless of what others say. Finding the feelings she found, harvested and grew over the years, and will continue to grow.

Finally, after Professor Sprout acknowledged the last Hufflepuff Excel-status student did she step down to make way for Professor Flitwick to climb onto a stool and begin the same for the Ravenclaw Excel-status students. The Fat Friar hovered away for the Grey Lady to glide over the coming students.

When Elsa's name was called, she walked with proud, refined strides towards the front to receive her Acknowledgement. Feeling the excitement within. Announcing her as Excel in Charms, Professor Flitwick beamed with pride for his best-performing student.

Once more she smiled at Anna, who happily smiled back. Her sister… her best friend who stuck by her side no matter what. Even in the darkest moments. Even when Voldemort was that dark moment. Even when their parents are no long their.

For a fleeting moment Elsa wished her mother and father were there. To witness and be proud of her. Of both of them. Of where they are now despite the challenges and threats.

After the formalities were finished, Elsa took Anna through the many enchanted and magnificent corridors and classrooms, and later down to Hogsmede to visit places like Honeyduke's candy shop. Anna couldn't help not being mesmerized by the grand school and stop saying "Wow" again and again.

"There's no reason someone wouldn't want to study here" Anna said as they licked fudgy ice cream cones.

Anna was also fascinated with the many ghosts dwelling in Hogwarts, besides the House Ghosts. She was only put off by Peeves, who kept chanting "No Muggles Allowed! Call the Aurors!" like making up for not intruding into the Ceremony.

Olaf tagged along too. He too was equally impressed by Hogwarts. He had a strawberry-flavored ice cream cone when they went to Honeydukes'. His nice, happy-go-lucky attitude and behavior received mixed reactions (obviously the bad and mean ones from the Slytherins). But overall he entranced many people.

"Oooh he's such a cute snowman!" Luna said as she and Ginny took turns shaking hands with Olaf, when they first met him.

And that evening after the big graduation dinner, while others remained in the castle Elsa took her sister to the edge of the Black Lake. Just the three of them. No one else to intrude in.

Anna and Olaf watched as Elsa placed a foot onto the surface, creating a gorgeous floor of ice onto the lake – complete with subtle outlines of snowflakes for effect.

Elsa, feeling that wasn't enough, formed pretty decorations to line the lakeshore, and throwing a handful of snow into the air to snow for a while.

Almost immediately they hopped onto the ice, laughing and skating with each other.

Elsa was having her own fun holding Anna's hands and ice skating with her. She even specially transfigured her shoes into ice-skates. Olaf cheerfully glided along. Such a wonderful moment, under the dusk now moving to night. Hoping it would last forever, but savored that cherished moment together. Even for Alumni, rules apply for not being out of the castle after hours.

"So you're not going to study more here?" Anna asked when the three were walking back into the castle.

Elsa shook her head. "No – I've learned everything I needed to know" then she smiled thoughtfully "and wanted to know".

Anna nodded.

But then it looked like her attention got sidetracked, when they paused in the courtyard beside the viaduct.

"Even if your friends want to study more here?" she asked curiously.

Elsa's brow creased at Anna's question. It seemed there's obviously more to it. "They'd only study more to finish their term here…why do you ask?"

Anna's mischievous smile came out. "Oh, I was curious what you'd do, if he was planning to study more" she indicated to the side of Elsa.

Having a funny hunch, Elsa turned to where Anna indicated. Finding a certain someone far off into the courtyard. Only sharp eyes would see that he was watching them, in his own green graduation robe. Enjoying to himself the nice sight of Elsa spending time together with her sister. Something indeed wonderful to have – a true friend. In Elsa's case, luckier as it is her own sister.

Elsa turned back to Anna, with a sisterly scolding face at Anna's mischievous one. Thankfully Olaf was too busy looking over the viaduct to notice the whole scene.

Though Elsa couldn't help notice to herself that when Anna indicated, she had that jump again inside her. Little stronger than before.

Tonight imagine your gown and all

Fetchingly draped against the wall

The picture of sophisticated grace

Oh!

You suddenly see him standing there

A cheeky aristocrat, tall and fair

You wanna stuff some chocolate in your face!

Seriously Anna?

Anna wrote that in a thank you letter to her sister. But it wasn't that Elsa didn't know the best way to reply…

"Wow! She sent me something" Anna was excited back at home to receive a small box in the letter capsule through the floo.

No sooner did she open it when…

"AAAAH!"

Something hopped out and around her bedroom.

"Catch it! Catch it!" Kristoff and Olaf went mad trying to grab it.

Anna briskly looked over the box – 'Chocolate Frogs'

She burst into laughs.

"What?" Kristoff panted, having caught the thing that's now trying to escape under the upturned glass fruit bowl.

Back at Hogwarts, students were starting their packing for home. For students like Elsa – their final packing.

On the morning of the day before its time to leave, after putting on her Ravenclaw cloak Elsa spent some time looking at the Ravenclaw shield embroidered onto the left side of her cloak. Fingering it.

Things have changed over the years. And thinking about it… it's not 'change'… its things which have been in her all along… rising to the surface… clearer and clearer.

Elsa made a small grin, looking into herself in the mirror. And the best part is – it's all real… and perfect… perfectly for me.

The rest of the day she spent most of her time within Hogwarts and its grounds. Just to absorb its wonder and magical places for a final time. Knowing that after years of studying here it's time to leave.

And the rest of her time she spent with someone who considered it special because he was with Elsa. And she couldn't help but notice the same for herself as well – that times with him are indeed special and different.

"I don't recall you ever mentioning what you're planning to use that Outstanding in Charms for. Especially since you so graciously gloat yourself for it" he mentioned, on the complementing-teasing side.

Elsa gave a small grin. "I haven't decided yet - but it could always come in handy"

They were talking together in a small but sizeable room, supposedly a former classroom or storage room, and standing beside the large window that spilled in the afternoon's sunlight.

"The funny thing is that Charms isn't really everything I expected to excel in" Elsa said.

"Really?"

Elsa shook her head to that fact. "I thought I could do better in DADA, but obviously the classes did not really fit 'unusual' magic". She did want to get better marks in that subject. After all, she is pretty good at combat and self-defense using her own abilities. But of course the grading system is based on standard magic.

"Perhaps you could think of giving the system an overhaul"

"I did in fact think of perhaps one day applying for Charms teacher position. But I figured it's not really my thing"

They didn't really think about for how long they have been talking. There was not much anything else to do, plus the Ministry Workers were currently mainly deployed at the entrances and exits of Hogwarts, as they knew students were only spending free time before leaving Hogwarts, and they were just making sure for now no one leaves without permission, or no one besides student or staff enters the premises.

"Well I figured anything that does not 'conflict' with their 'standards'" Draco mentioned as they went more to their plans. While Draco has made plans for employment, his options seem to be expectedly strained – thanks to his family's new image.

"And when said 'standards' don't really matter" Elsa said, like reminding him that since when does a Slytherin (in a good way) let's what people think get too much in their way?

Draco looked back at Elsa, into the fortitude behind the sapphire depths. There's always this look of assurance in her face. One way or another in different situations. And which has become more visible… and beautiful… over the years.

"Of course… who am I to say?" that charming smirk grew into his face, "The Ravenclaw Princess obviously knows better"

A brief pause. Their hands were close beside the window ledge. Their eyes for a fleeting moment looking to see that, and feeling the thought of holding each other's hand.

Sounds of people talking nearby came. Reminding them that soon they will have to return for packing. Then end the day with the End of Term feast.

"Shouldn't keep you waiting?"

"No…nothing like that…really"

Short pause. Then Draco began leaving, but he paused.

Then he walked back to Elsa. Gently, he took her hand, lifted it, and pressed a kiss on her fingers.

"Catching up with your manners?" she raised her eyebrows but flattered laughter hinted in her voice.

"Just doing my part" he gave a smug smile. "However it's very worrying about how you don't repay favors and concerns for ensuring her Royal Highness is getting the right treatment. Surely they've taught you better" he then said like being serious and critic.

She looked at him. A smirk slowly appeared on her face.

Then…she kissed him on the cheek.

"Don't worry… I have my own ways"

That left him gazing, and Draco literally feeling a hard time to leave for finishing the packing. Elsa quietly watched him leave, before making her own way to her common room to finish packing before dinner.

Finally, the day. The Last Day at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. With only a few hours in the morning until everyone in crowds has to leave for the Hogwarts Express.

She didn't bother to change to her regular 'simple royal' clothes for boarding the train. Even whatever time in her Ravenclaw robes, she'd extend it as much as possible.

"Lucky just one more year for you" Elsa asked, walking through the castle to the outdoors with Ginny and Luna.

Ginny nodded. "It's not the same with most of the others not there" she mentioned. "But it's good that it's just one more" she added. Luna agreed.

When they reached outside the Hogwarts grounds they chatted for a few more minutes, as Ginny and Luna had to catch up with their family and other friends to share the same routes home from King's Cross. Elsa on the other hand was to once more be picked up by the Ministry for secure transportation to their own floo networks, through which she will return home in Arendelle.

"See you later then?"

"Soon…we'll keep in touch"

Elsa tightly embraced Ginny and then Luna, and they equally hugged back, knowing that while they live almost next door to each other it may be a long time before they see Elsa, another good friend, again.

Then slowly, down the gravel path the friends parted. Ginny and Luna made their way with their luggage towards where their other friends were standing around, later to sit on the train with them. Elsa meanwhile took to move more to the side, into the forest bordering the pathway. Spending a few more moments watching and inhaling the scene for the last time.

True… Elsa thought to herself, eyes passed over every treetop, branch and sky patch it came across, moving towards the distant structures towering on the other side of the student-covered gravel path she just came from.

'Hogwarts is just the beginning…' Dumbledore once told her. Many years ago.

She smiled towards what's now a hallmark of her dynamic past. A monument, but not the only one, of her journey. Started from her first step out of her prison-bedroom.

My journey still continues… it's been unpredictable… but (small laugh within) would be unfortunate if it stops being that way… in the best ways…

Just then, the distant train whistle blew. And the crowds of students began thickening and dispersing. Soon, Elsa was moving to find herself a seat.

Once aboard the train, Elsa sat in a compartment with fellow Ravenclaw Alumni girls. While they found much to talk about among themselves, Elsa's eyes were glued to the window. So much resembling her first train ride to Hogwarts.

She watched her reflection for a while – what once was a child yearning to experience the world and discovering her true self… is a reflection with self-confident sparkling in the sapphire of her eyes.

As the girls chatted away, Elsa watched as the grand castle slipped from her sight, while the train pulled the students away. Soon it stood behind trees and hills…and was no longer there.

It was fun while it lasted

~TO BE CONTINUED…~

Psst…hello after so, so long! While studies have deflated a tiny bit, my work has increased – but I really want to finish this story! So far this is going steady (including tiny fixes and edits occasionally made – normal in a writing task :) anyway)…just a couple more chapters and then…we'll see.

Thanks again for reading and supporting…and the patient waiting!

I won't delete the "Temporary Announcement"…I really like that cute scene yet don't know where to put it :(

Chances are high for a sequel! Already have the plot and some notes, and really keen on finishing off this one so to start finalizing and posting the sequel's chapters! (but don't worry, no intention of compromising quality of this one in the process – but apologies if you feel I might be rushing)

And if you really want, you can make suggestions for what Draco's Patronus would be (will be most likely revealed in the sequel!).

And one more thing… stay safe and take care of yourselves, your families and friends. This COVID-19 pandemic will come to pass, but for it to do so we must do our part. Stay home (take advantage of that time! Spend time with family, reconnect with your hobbies, etc) to lessen the spread, and don't forget people who are not as fortunate. Both in first world and third world countries and in between – everyone who is affected by this virus both directly and indirectly (poor healthcare, financial burdens etc).

Thanks again and stay safe!
