Okay, So I know i've said that i was back and all lol but i guess that was a fat lie. however, since this Covid-19 BS is going on I guess i actually have the time and what not to actually work on this Story a lot more. I hope you all Enjoy this Chapter and the future chapters to come.

PREVIOUSLY ON 'LIVING IN SAWTOOTH'

"What to do next..." I asked myself. That's exactly when I heard my name from behind, It was feminine and soft. "Humphrey...?" She called out.

I turned around, widening my eyes as tears were now running out of them. "S-Sapphire..."

And Now...

Humphrey was confused and lost, His mind was full of questions he wanted to ask.

As Humphrey stood there looking at Sapphire, His eyes kinda just went 'blank'. "Long time, No see Humphrey..." Sapphire stated walking up to him.

"Y-..Yeah.. I thought.." Humphrey started but before he could finish, Sapphire budged in. "I know what you're going to say and probably ask, but that's something I can't explain right now. Maybe tonight..?"

Humphrey chewed on the inside of his cheek and nodded, his head slightly tilted downward. "Yeah, That works for me now that I'm back I guess.."

"Great! See you then!" Sapphire said before walking past Humphrey, pressing herself against him while her tail brushed under his chin.

Humphrey stood there for a few minutes in awe, turning his head around to watch her walk off.

(Sapphire)

I had just walked past Humphrey, giving him a little tease. It was nice to see him once again. I know it had been awhile since my little 'incident' and I'm not sure where our feelings still stand for each other. I missed him a lot and I'm glad he accepted Arrows request to join the pack again.

My head drooped low to the ground while I was heavily in thought until I had accidentally bumped into someone, jumping back slightly now alert. "Hm..? Oh Sapphire. What are you up to..?"

I had looked up, meeting eye contact with Vanessa.

"Uhm.. Sorry, I was just thinking to myself and I guess I got a little caught up with it." I said.

"What were you so lost in thought abou-" she started before giving me some type of sly smile and nudging me. "You've heard about the return of Humphrey haven't you..? He's a real stud ain't he..?" Vanessa asked, teasingly.

I nodded my head slowly and smiled lightly. "Yeah, Most definitely. It's been a while since I've last seen him.. He's really changed. Like, A lot.."

"Maybe you should try and get close with him again. You guys were almost Inseparable when he first arrived. You both just.. Clicked." Vanessa suggested with a slight giggle at the end.

"Yeah, I've got plans with him tonight. We were going to catch up and see where things were between us.." I explained.

"Anyways, I guess I'll leave you to your daydreaming, gotta visualize before it actually happens right..?" Vanessa winked at me before treading past me to continue her day.

I had a small blush burning on my face after realizing what she meant. "It's not like that.." I thought to myself before shaking my head, continuing to wander around camp to see if I was needed.

(Humphrey - Almost Dusk)

It was a while since I had last ran into Sapphire. "I thought she was dead... How is she here..?" I thought to myself. My head hurt just trying to think about it.

"Hey Humphrey!.."

My ears twitched as a familiar face ran up to me, Dakota. "Uh, Hey.. Where's Donte?" I asked, a little curious.

"He went to spend time with his little girlfriend, Y'know how it works." Dakota laughed, shaking his head with disappointment.

"You're telling me Donte has a girlfriend..? With his scrawny self..?" I managed a chuckle before taking a seat in the dirt below me.

"You're not wrong Humph." He replied with a smile. "So how are you managing on your first day back anyhow..? Nobody giving you trouble right?" Dakota added.

"No, Nobody is screwing with me." I laughed slightly before continuing: "However... I didn't expect to see Sapphire..How is she..here?" I asked, my head leaning in confusion. I needed to know what happened, It's been bothering me all day long since I layed my eyes on her.

"Well shit Humphrey..I don't know the exact details on what happened with her, but if you truly want to know then that's something you need to ask her. All I can say is that she survived and I know we were all thankful when she showed up 3 moons after the incident." Dakota explained with sorrow.

I nodded and let out a small yawn from all my exhaustion from the day. "Yeah I've got plans with her tonight. As far as I'm aware she said we were just going to talk about what happened." I stated.

"Sounds like a plan, Don't be making pups all of sudden now that you're here Humph, I know shes cute but you gotta control yourself." He teased, shaking his head.

I just rolled my eyes and pushed him lightly. "I don't think that's going to happen, Dakota. I don't know where we stand in this world, I don't know where our future lies." I stated.

I then stood up and shook out my fur before looking at him with a nod. "Anywho, I shouldn't get you all caught up in my drama, It's weird as it is." I say before padding away in search of Sapphire.

Moments passed after walking from Dakota. I saw Arrow standing on a sharp looking rock, it was slanted upwards but enough to stand on. It looked like he was observing something. I ended up walking up behind him and standing just inches away from him. "So how's you're day going so far Humphrey." Arrow asked, turning his attention to me.

"It was alright i suppose. It's gonna be a minute for me to get used to all this again but.. I'm working on it." I reply. If I wanted to, I could just ambush him, right here, right now. He wouldn't even see me coming. My eyes scanned the area in front of me and my sides. "Why was it so important to bring me back..."

"You're a valuable asset... and this is your home whether you accept it or not. We took you in when nobody else would, then one day you just go rogue on us. Gone, Just like that." Arrow explained.

"I had no other choice.. I was Hurt-" I started before before being interrupted: "You were hurting?... Ever stop and think that I was maybe hurting as well? Everyone was hurting Humphrey!"

I tilted my head down starting to think.

"I know how much she meant to you, I know what you guys had and I know what you guys still do have. I'm sure you've seen that shes returned." He explained. "That doesn't give you the right to just abandon us though, I had no other choice except to threaten those closest to you to bring you back. Don't think for a second that I wouldn't have done it either." He added.

"I know..." I said before turning around to walk off.

"I encourage you to never speak with those wolves again. You know we are a dangerous pack." Arrow added as I walked off.

"Good idea.." I thought to myself and shaking my head.

(3rd. Dusk.)

Humphrey soon remembered that he had to meet Sapphire for the night so they could talk, although they never set a location. "Well fuck... Where would she be..?" Humphrey asked himself. He looked around, looking for some kind of landmark that he could possibly find her at.

Sapphire walked the path within the territory looking around for Humphrey. She looked left to right a little confused. "He couldn't be that hard to find right..?" She asked herself.

Humphrey sighed loudly and shrugged as he set out and followed the path within camp, hoping to bump into her.

ALRIGHT! So this is the end of Chapter 12. I did as much as I could for this chapter before I got tired, Hopefully yall like it. Im slowly getting back into my writers zone. Anyways, whats going to happen when they meet again? what do you think happened to Sapphire? We all know that she was said to be 'dead' although what do you think happened to her?
