Wesker would never admit it to anyone but himself but he was enjoying sitting beside Helena, the former Umbrella employee currently resting her head on his shoulder. Having her cat curled up on his lap? Not so much.
Wesker had barely even taken his eyes from her to watch the television set in front of them when he heard her yawn and he turned his head in time to see Helena's eyes drooping.
Hearing a faint chuckle Helena lifted her head frowning at the grin on Wesker's face. "So I'm a little tired. Probably from losing some blood." She pointed out, instantly seeing Wesker's eyes move to the bandage on her shoulder. When he chewed his lower lip she sighed patting him lightly on the shoulder. "Don't worry about it. It barely even stings now."
"I doubt that very much." Wesker argued and Helena gave him a one-armed shrug before she leaned against his shoulder. "If you don't mind me saying you look pretty pale." He pointed out and Helena snorted at him bringing a grin to his lips while he kept his arm wrapped around her shoulders.
When she leaned her head against his shoulder he listened, not moving until he heard her breathing slow. Even when he felt that she'd fallen asleep he still waited a full minute before Wesker let out a breath and Eclipse meowed.
"Could you not wake your owner? She needs her rest unlike you." Wesker whispered, trying to scold the cat who just stretched before she leapt off his lap to land on all fours on the table in front of the couch. "So she finally listens. Who would have believed it?" He muttered, giving the cat a smirk before he slowly shifted out from under Helena's sleeping form.
To his amusement she just shifted over, her head now resting on one of the armrests and Wesker felt his lips curl into a smile before he could stop himself. "She is rather attractive when she's asleep." He whispered, leaning over and she sighed as he gently brushed his lips against her forehead.
Shaking his head Wesker wandered around the living room as Helena slept, spending a few minutes checking this room and the adjacent one until he found what he needed; a laptop in the drawer of Helena's room. Setting it down carefully on her bed he opened the screen and after turning it on he waited impatiently for it to load glancing at the bedroom door when he heard footsteps. He tensed as the door opened though when Eclipse shot into the room he frowned at the cat who dug her claws into the blanket, pulling herself up before she stared at Wesker.
"You are a pain do you know that?" Wesker sighed, ignoring the cat as he concentrated on finding out what information he could about the surviving S.T.A.R.S activities. Logging into Umbrella's mainframe he scoured the pages for any hint of his name though after spending half an hour checking he grinned to himself, finding his name and photo beside a deceased note.
"If only they knew that the Tyrant didn't kill me." He whispered to himself, grimacing at the memory of the newly awakened Tyrant plunging its claws into his abdomen. "Instead it made me much more powerful."
"What are you talking about, Wesker?" A woman's voice asked and he turned his head, frowning as Helena poked her head into her room. "Oh and by the way why are you using my laptop?" She added with a yawn, pushing the door fully open before she padded over to him.
"I couldn't use my own on the chance they would trace it back here. Besides I have the information I need. Some of the S.T.A.R.S managed to survive the mansion's self-destruct though even if they tell the authorities no one will believe them." Wesker commented as Helena stepped over to the bed sitting beside him when he shifted over.
"I saw the zombies for myself and I still can't get my head around it." Helena muttered and Wesker chuckled, closing the laptop before he set it on the other side of the bed. "Why create a virus that turns people into zombies?"
"That wasn't the point of it. The T-Virus was created to be used to make weapons but the virus, when exposed to a human turns them into the living dead." Wesker explained and Helena frowned, rubbing at the bridge of her nose for a moment.
"So someone intentionally created the virus to use as a weapon?" She asked and after getting a slight nod from Wesker she shuddered. "Great. Some real whack jobs I worked for." She muttered and Wesker chuckled, eyes on her as she reached for the laptop. Once she opened it she started to type away at the keyboard the soft clicking making him slightly curious.
"What are you doing now?" He asked, one eyebrow raised when she turned her head finally remembering he was still sitting behind her. "Hacking Umbrella again? After what happened last time I thought you were through."
"I know I should be but I can't help wondering how Umbrella will talk their way out of the mansion's destruction. They kept the public in the dark about the murders but they can't cover this up." Helena said, turning her attention back to the laptop and Wesker rolled his eyes.
"You obviously don't know just how powerful Umbrella are do you?" He whispered but she ignored him, mostly due to having all of her attention focused on the laptop. Sighing to himself he leaned in close and she froze when she felt his warm lips brush the back of her neck.
"Wesker, what do you think you're doing?" She finally managed to ask but he ignored her, brushing another kiss against her bare skin and she rolled her eyes. Turning her attention back to the laptop Helena started to type away again and Wesker frowned slightly, realizing it would take much more than a few feather-light kisses to wrest her attention away from Umbrella and back to him.
Then he grinned and while she lightly tapped away he lifted his head towards her left ear. This time she uttered a squeak when he teeth nipped at her earlobe causing the former Umbrella employee to turn her head, cheeks a brilliant red to stare at him. "You were ignoring me." Wesker answered as she continued to stare at him, her mouth slightly open in shock. "I don't like it when I'm being ignored." He continued and she snorted, her head moving back to the laptop instead of responding.
Shaking his head Wesker gave the back of Helena's head a slow smile, amused at her defiance before he leaned in again and this time she jerked when he caught her earlobe between his teeth nibbling it while she sat hunched over the keyboard. "W...Wesker, stop it. I'm trying to concentrate on hacking and I can't with you sitting behind me." Helena managed to stammer but Wesker just ignored her this time as she chewed her lower lip.
"I told you before that Umbrella won't hesitate on taking...quick and most likely fatal action if they find you hacking into their private files again." Wesker answered and Helena growled something impossible under her breath. "I doubt even you're that flexible." He teased, his warm tongue thrusting into her right ear when she opened her mouth. Instead of the smart retort, at least she thought so, coming out of her mouth a groan escaped instead.
Helena quickly clamped a hand over her mouth though it did nothing to mask her shoulders quivering as his tongue slipped in and out of her right ear. The sensation made her immediately think about the moment they had first made love and she blushed furiously, her fingers digging into the blanket beneath them when Wesker's tongue slipped from her ear his hand moving around to cover her fingers.
"Are you doing this to stop me from learning anything about Umbrella or are you doing this because you enjoy my company?" Helena asked, keeping her shoulders from shaking and Wesker smiled to himself noting the lack of response.
"To stop you from getting involved with Umbrella. They don't like it when people poke their noses were they don't belong." Wesker pointed out, smirking when Helena turned her head enough to see her eyebrows narrowed at him. "Did I say something shocking? I seem to recall Umbrella showing up on your doorstep unless that story you told me was a lie?" He asked, raising one eyebrow until she sighed.
"You're right but I can't help being slightly curious." Helena admitted and Wesker nodded, kissing the side of her neck before he sat back on the blanket.
"Good to know you won't try anything stupid." Wesker answered and Helena groaned, rolling her eyes towards the ceiling straight after he spoke. "Did I say something wrong?"
"Of course you did!" Helena snapped at her, picking up the laptop and after setting it down carefully on the table she shifted around until she was facing him. "Just because I got caught once doesn't mean I'm an idiot, Wesker."
"Says the woman who tried to pass herself off as a doctor." Wesker smirked and Helena narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms against her chest when he slowly smiled at her his eyes glowing briefly. "Still I do appreciate you trying to help me when I came back to life after the Tyrant killed me. You could have run from the mansion but you chose to help me."
"I thought you were dead at first. Besides I wanted to help at least one person if I could." Helena answered and he just chuckled softly, leaving her speechless when he leaned in close enough to kiss her. "T...that's all."
"Of course that was the only reason you helped me." Wesker growled and her eyes widened when he reached across. When she found herself flat on her back staring up at the ceiling Helena blinked as Wesker leaned over her. "I really should be making it up to you for being so...kind." Wesker whispered and Helena's eyes widened when his mouth covered hers the kiss that followed leaving her slightly breathless.
