"So what now?" Bonnie asked, looking around the busy alley curiously. She wanted to go and explore everything she read about but she recognized that they had to do business first. No matter how boring it might get. Then again, with Angel and the Originals things rarely got boring.
Angel ran her hand through her hair and sighed "Gringotts first. Then we can look around if you guys want. But we really should get a head start on the Horcruxes. The cup, then we check Grimmauld Place – Or rather call Kreacher. After that… I guess we'll see."
"You're the boss, boss," Kol grinned, throwing his arm around his sister-in-law's shoulders.
"Go screw yourself, Kol," Angel snorted jokingly, shaking her head "And please… For the love of Death, don't antagonize the goblins. It won't end well."
Kol grimaced "Yeah, I heard. Although, I suppose it would be interesting to see what they…"
"No," Angel and Elijah chorused, glaring at Kol.
Kol raised his hands in surrender "Alright, alright. Calm down. No antagonising goblins. Got it." He huffed and crossed his arms when he saw Niklaus trying to hide his smile "Shut up, Nik."
"I didn't say anything," Klaus grinned.
"You didn't have to," Kol grumbled "Your face already tells me everything I need to know…"
"My face?" Klaus repeated in amusement "What are you? Five?"
Angel patted her husband's shoulder, her eyes catching the glinting of her wedding band. She was constantly thinking about their wedding whenever she saw the ring. It had been a beautiful day that would be forever in her memory. Not only because her whole family had been together but because they had all gotten along and everything was peaceful for once.
She was standing in front of the mirror, looking at herself in the wedding dress that she had chosen with the help of her aunt and her friends. The dress was the typical wedding dress white with a lacy mermaid style body that flared out into layer of tulle at the hips. She ran her hands down her stomach, smoothing out the dress while Rebekah was finishing her hair "Is it weird that I'm not nervous?"
"I don't think so," Rebekah shrugged "I mean, you love Nik, right? So there's no reason to be nervous." The female Original was working on a half-up half-down style with an elegant Celtic knot that was being held in place with three white lilies "What do you think?"
"Woah," the red-haired girl smiled taking in the knot "How the hell did you do that?"
Rebekah smirked "It's a talent. Now, I think your wedding is about to start." She held out her arm for her almost sister-in-law to take "Shall we?" Outside the door, the two girls met with Jeremy who was the one who would be walking Angel down the aisle. It hadn't been an easy decision between her Uncle John and Jeremy but in the end, she went with her brother. He had always been there for her and protected her even if he didn't have to.
Jeremy smiled at his older sister and pulled her into a hug "You look amazing, Angel. Are you ready to get married?"
"More than ready," Angel nodded, taking a deep breath. She wasn't nervous when it came to the wedding. The only thing that she was slightly scared of was that she would mess up somehow and embarrass herself in front of her family and friends. She took a hold of Jeremy's arm, watching as Rebekah slipped into the hall before them.
"Are you sure you don't want me to help you escape?" Jeremy joked as the music started playing.
The eighteen-year-old rolled her eyes with a small smile playing on her lips "I'm very sure… And Jay? Thank you so much."
"You're more than welcome," the boy whispered, stepping forward "I'm just sad that Dad isn't here for this."
"So am I," Angel agreed, forcing back the tears. This was a happy moment. There was no time for tears right now. As soon as the two entered the hall, Angel could see Klaus standing at the altar, wearing a black suit with a white shirt and a dark grey tie. She smiled lightly, seeing the love in his eyes as she neared.
Jeremy walked his sister all the way down the aisle, stepping back when they reached the husband-to-be "Good luck," he breathed, making his way towards his seat.
Everyone sat and watched as Angel and Klaus exchanged vows and said their 'I do's', ending the official part of the ceremony with their first kiss as a married couple. Shortly after the pictures were taken, the party headed back to the Mikaelson Mansion where the reception would be held. The house looked even greater than it had for the Ball the Original witch had held a couple of months prior and all the guests enjoyed the gathering. Rebekah and Caroline had been the main contributors to the theme of the decorations and they certainly made the right choices. While everything had been dripping in gold before, now the theme was lights. There were thousands of little lights strung up, giving the room a brighter gleam. The table decorations were glowing white roses in a thin, cone shape vase.
Klaus took Angel by the hand and smoothly lead her into their first dance as the music started "I love you, Angel. Despite everything that happened in the last few months, I couldn't be happier to be where we are now."
"I love you too, Nik," she smiled, leaning her head against his shoulder "Before I met you, I never would have thought that I would get married and look at me now."
"Hm," he hummed, capturing her lips with his "Are you ready for our honeymoon?"
Angel nodded lightly "Yeah. I've never been to Paris before."
"I'm sure you'll love it," the Hybrid told her "Paris is lovely, especially in the Winter."
"It does help that it's the City of Love, does it not?" the red-haired girl laughed.
The dance ended and before the married couple could exit the dance floor, they were swept into another dance. Rebekah had snagged Klaus, while Damon was dancing with Angel. The bride sighed, knowing that her chance to escape was gone and she would be forced to dance with her whole family before the night was over.
Angel shook herself out of her thoughts and smirked at Kol "Five is too mature for him. He's four at the most."
"Hey," Kol exclaimed, drawing the attention of the people around them "I'm not immature."
Bonnie pressed a kiss to his cheek "Face it, love. You are."
"What is this?" Kol asked in annoyance "'Gang up on Kol day'?"
Klaus shrugged "Best idea I heard so far."
"I hate you."
Angel walked up the steps leading to the bank and bowed her head to the goblins guards at the door. Elijah and the rest of their family followed suit as they continued into the bank silently. Not even Kol was talking which was very unusual for him. Apparently, he had taken the promise to heart and made an effort to not mess with the goblins. If that meant he was quiet, who was Elijah to complain. It did sort of worry him a little though. Kol being silent usually meant he was planning something and whatever it was, Elijah hoped he would refrain. Then again, it was Kol they were talking about after all.
"I would like to speak to my account manager," Angel stated once she reached one of the tellers.
The goblin barely glanced up "Name?"
"Angel Potter," she replied, her voice low. There weren't many people in the bank, so it was easy to keep everyone from hearing her.
The goblin let out a snort "Yeah? We get people claiming to be the Girl-Who-Lived almost weekly at this point. Try something else. Now, name?"
A small smile played around Angel's lips "Well… One, I hate that bloody title," she mumbled "And two, I am willing to do a blood test to prove that I am actually me."
"I want the fee paid upfront," the goblin said immediately. She wasn't the first one to try a blood test either. Why wizards thought they would be able to cheat the test, he didn't know. Well, more business for them because whenever someone's claim was proven false, there were serious consequences. The Ministry had tried to intervene and that idiot Fudge had tried more than once to get his hands onto Angel Potter's assets because of the marriage contract that was standing between his son and the girl.
Angel shrugged and handed over her credit card. Death had assured her that they would be able to use their assets as normal, so hopefully this worked. If not then she knew where she could get money from. She had asked the twins to hide away a small fortune for her. Originally, it had been because she wanted to run away but thankfully she hadn't needed it.
The goblin sneered at the piece of plastic and muttered something under his breath that made the vampires bristle. Angel just shook her head, the smile still on her face. She was used to the goblins and reading about them had helped her put things into perspective. She respected them a whole lot more now than she did after her First Year "This will do," he nodded grudgingly and handed the card back "Now, follow Griphook. He will take you to Bloodthorne, the account manager for the Potter Vaults."
"Thank you," Angel bowed "May your enemies tremble before you."
"And may your business always be fruitful," the goblin gave back automatically, surprise written on his face.
"What was that?" Bonnie whispered "And why did he look surprised?"
Angel shrugged "Wizards and Witches are assholes. Most of them treat everything not human like the dirt that is at the bottom of their shoes. Then again, I might have gotten that from Fanfiction, so I wasn't sure whether it would actually work."
Kol snorted "You read that stuff?"
"It was interesting," Angel defended herself, trying to ignore Griphook's puzzled frown "Though why people seem to think I would shag Snape or Malfoy, I don't know. And don't even get me started on those 'Tomarry' pairings." She shuddered "Sometimes the internet scares me."
"Only sometimes?" Klaus asked amused. He had heard Angel complaining about Fanfiction and on more than one occasion had gotten to listen to a rant.
Angel huffed and reached over to interlace their fingers "Okay, most of the time. I don't even know how people come up with that."
Griphook knocked on a door, pushing it open "Here they are."
Bloodthorn looked up from the papers on his desk and studied the newcomers. He had heard that there was another one claiming to be Lady Potter and if he was honest with himself, he was sick of it "Thank you, Griphook. You may leave."
"Thank you, Griphook," Angel smiled at the goblin "It's a pleasure to meet you, Bloodthorn."
Bloodthorn narrowed his eyes on the girl. She did look like the Potter girl but so had some of the others. Whether they went the muggle route to dye their hair or change it magically "Prick your finger and let three drops fall into this bowl," he told her, pushing a knife towards the other side of the desk.
Angel snorted quietly and picked up the knife. She made a small cut on her thumb and quickly squeezed out three drops "There you go," she murmured, stepping back to Klaus' side.
"You okay?" Klaus asked, critically looking down at Angel's hand.
"Relax," she snorted "It's just a cut."
Kol laughed "God, you're so whipped, Nik."
Elijah rubbed his forehead "Can we just focus on this situation before we continue to behave like children?"
"You're fighting a losing battle, Elijah," Bonnie told him with a grin.
Angel looked at the goblin apologetically "Sorry about that. My family is a bit… crazy."
Bloodthorn looked down at his papers and the result of the test "That's alright… Lady Potter. May I ask where you've been these past years?"
"It's a long story," she grimaced "There are a few things I need to discuss with you. I hope that's alright."
