Fully morphed and ready for battle, the three Rebel Rangers moved cautiously through one of the abandoned quarries on the edge of the city. They had already searched three different quarries that afternoon for a mysterious signal that they had detected, "Maybe", Eric suggested, "like a wild goose chase or something".

Rolling her eyes, Charlie responded, "There wouldn't be a signal without a good reason".

Kim meanwhile was trying to sense any additional presences in the area but her radar wasn't as working" Sighing in frustration, " There's nothing out here", she began, "are you sure the signal's still in the area".

"I find you lack of faith in my super computer disturbing", Charlie snarked back, "the energy signature's still out here and its similar to the ones on our morphers".

"Other rangers?" Eric asked.

"Not surprising", the Ranger Slayer replied, "the signal's about 300 hundred meters to the north east".

"Fine", Kim groaned, "we'll keep looking but if we don't find anything in the next ten minutes we're going back", she said.

Looking down over the Rebel Rangers, Lauren and Tennaya were also morphed and ready to fight. The sentries shook their heads as their fellow sentries continued their fruitless search, "Look at them", Lauren began, "two hours of searching and they haven't even thought to look up".

"As much fun as it is leading those guys on a wild goose chase", Tennaya began, "shall we get this over with? I'd like to finish this off before dinner time".

Lauren nodded and pulled her sniper rifle off her back, "I'm thinking pizza at tonight", she joked and the pair jumped down to the floor below.

The Rebel Rangers were startled when the two Ranger Sentries landed in front of them. For a few moments no one moved as a silent tension descended on the quarry. "No way", Eric broke the silence, "he found us that quickly", he slowly began to approach the newcomers.

"Nice suits", Charlie commented, "why didn't anyone mention that there is a Tricera Sentry?" She tilted her head in confusion, "I don't recognise the class you belong to.

It suddenly clicked for Kim, "Guys keep back", she called out but it was too late. Eric reached out towards Lauren for a handshake but the Tricera Sentry swatted him away, "Look we don't want any trouble", Kim added.

"What if we do?" Lauren sneered, "You're blocking our path", she said to the Masterdon Sentry and kicked him hard in the stomach. Eric was pushed back but he didn't fall down, instead he staggered into line with Kim.

"Hey that wasn't called for", Charlie began, "We're trying to stop Drakon too, we're on the same side".

Tennaya tapped her staff on the ground a couple of time before slowly raising it into the air, "The only side we're on is our own". She swung the staff towards the unprepared sabretooth sentry but fortunately for her, Kim intercepted it with her bow , "At least one of you isn't incompetent", she said to the ranger slayer.

"I don't want to hurt you", Charlie spat, "but you leaving me no choice".

"Trust me, you won't hurt us", Tennaya chuckled and slashed the ranger slayer across the arm with her staff. Kim dropped her stance which left her open to a stiff kick in the ribs from Tennaya. The ranger slayer rolled across the ground and held her chest in pain, "This is your final warning", Lauren continued, "surrender now and hand over your morphers".

The three Rebel Rangers froze for a moment but all it took was a silent look between them to decide on their next course of action. They quickly pulled out their weapons and charged across the quarry at superhuman speed, attempting to confuse the Ranger sentries. Lauren though just scoffed at the trick and pointed to spot above Tennaya'w head. With a swing of her power sword staff and a blast from the tricera sniper, the renegade sentries stopped the Rebels in their tracks. The trio skidded across the dirt in a heap, "Using sentry tatctics against other sentries", the tyranno sentry called out, "not going to work. Seriously did you morons fail sentry 101 or something".

"These guys are getting on my last nerve", Kim was quickly on her feet and unleashed a barrage of kicks against the arrogant tyranno sentry. A couple of blows found their target but on the whole, Tennaya was equal to the ranger slayer, "Just who the hell are you?" Kim demanded.

"Someone who's just better than you", Tennaya caught Kim's arm and twisted it behind her back. She pushed the ranger slayer away and raked her Staff down her back. Kim cried out in pain and fell to the ground.

Lauren meanwhile was caught in a two on one battle against Charlie and Eric. The Tricera sentry leapt over the sabretooth sentry's gun and blocked her next attack with her rifle, "I do like a feisty woman", Lauren chuckled as she grabbed the girl's wrist.

Charlie wrenched her arm free and kicked Lauren in the abdomen, perhaps a little further south than the Tricera sentry was expecting, "Feisty enough for you", she spat back.

"Trust me sweetheart, we're just getting warmed up", Lauren groaned and dropped to the ground. The pair thought she was defeated but instead Lauren separated her sniper into two gun and shot the back of their legs. Charlie and Eric stumbled backwards, giving the Tricera sentry enough time to leap back to her feet. She plugged her two the guns together and formed the sniper again, the weapon crackled with dark blue energy. She fired at the two ranger sentries and it caught them across the chest. The extra energy charge knocked the pair into the air and they crashed back to earth with mighty thud.

"This is even more disappointing then I thought it would be", Tennaya sighed. She surveyed the fallen ranger's but to her surprise, they were slowly getting to their feet, "They're a resilient bunch aren't they", she said to Lauren.

"We have been going easy on them", Lauren added, "maybe it's time to show them the true power of the Coinless". The pair raised their weapons into the air and they began to gather lightning energy, crimson for Tennaya and Navy for Lauren. They waited for the rangers to get to their feet and unleashed the lightning ball at the unsuspecting teens.

When the attack hit the Rebel Rangers it felt like every single muscle in their body was crying out in pain. The surge felt like it was going on forever but it was their bodies that finally gave out. Their legs crumpled underneath them and they fell to the ground. Charlie coughed deeply and Eric twitched involuntarily, residual energy still surging through his system. "Listen up Sentries", Tennaya began, "there's only room for one of us at the top of the mountain. When we defeat Drakon, the Coinless will be proclaimed the victors".

"Our names will be revered for centuries", Lauren added, "the choice is yours, stay out of our way or face the consequences".

"We'll be ready for round two", Tennaya chuckled, "will you?" The Renegade sentries turned around and teleported away. The Rebel Rangers groaned in pain and their morphed failed, leaving them exposed in their ninja uniforms in the middle of the quarry.

"Man that sucked", Eric groaned. He held an ice pack to the back of head to reduce some bruising from the Renegade sentries attack, "Look, my arm's still twitching", the finger's on his left hand spasmed periodically, something that was left over from the attack.

None of them had suffered any serious injuries, the most damage they had sustained was to their egos, "I get the feeling they were holding back", Charlie added as she stretched a couple of stiff muscles in her neck.

"We were ambushed", Kim hissed, "and they were toying with us", she shook her head, "fucking Coinless".
