A/N:
Hey, so a lot of things happened since two years ago, huh?
I finished off the first book of Phoenix. That's happy.
Descendants 3, the last installment of the Descendants, has just been released a few days ago.
And Cam passed away not so long ago. I'm still mourning. He's been a really big part of my life for the past few years.
As a girl who never knew him personally, only from his work, I feel like the only tribute I can give him is to finish this.
Finish what I started for the people he loves, the people who watched Descendants. Even if nobody reads this anymore.
That being said.
I am back.
Again.
And we'll do this. For Cameron Boyce.
To the person who made every moment count.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own Disney's Descendants or any of it's characters. I only own my OC, Hadrey, or any OC that appears in this fanfic.
Hadrey stared at a wall blankly, silent and emotionless.
Henry sat next to her looking as confused as ever, while Mal fumed a few feet away as she glared at Evie, Carlos and Ben.
"If you guys have never brought him here, this never would have happened." Mal seethed. "What were you guys thinking?"
"He was going to come with or without us, we just wanted to protect him." Evie explained.
"Yeah, and we totally blew it, guys." Carlos butted in.
"Okay." Jay interrupted. "Okay, so what are we going to do?"
"We are going to do nothing." Hadrey replied for this first time since the argument started. "I'm going to do something."
"We are going to be leaving." Mal added, gesturing to the three before facing Hadrey. "Hayds, I'm coming."
"This is between Uma and me." Hadrey said, looking at Mal who nodded hesitantly. "and, Uma's a punk. So, guess what? I'm going to have to go get him."
"Hades, you're still going to have to go through Harry Hook and his war frats." Carlos stopped the her.
"Yeah, you're gonna need us." Jay explained.
Mal looked over at Hadrey, who pursed her lips.
"I'm going. No one else is going. I am getting Ben back. You're bringing him home. Discussion closed." Hadrey declared.
"Uma said to come alone." Mal stated.
"Mal," Evie started but stopped short when Carlos turned to her.
"She said to come alone." Carlos sighed and looked over at Hadrey and Mal. "I know one thing, I'm not going anywhere."
With that, Carlos plopped down on the couch.
Hadrey glared over at the three as she picked her jacket up. "Watch over Henry,"
As she strode over the door, she turned back to the four. "And don't let him get kidnapped like you did my boyfriend, all right?"
Hadrey sauntered inside the restaurant, a small smirk painted her face as she looked over at Uma, who was screaming about a sea pony.
"I'm back." Hadrey sang in a mocking tone.
"Loser, party of one." Uma mocked, gesturing to an open table. "Right this way, please."
Hadrey caught the chair Uma slid her way, a confident smirk still on her face.
She took a seat across from Uma.
"Still ugly, huh?" Hadrey raised her eyebrow.
Uma gave her a sarcastic chuckle in response as Hadrey gazed around.
"Well, the place still stinks." Hadrey commented off-handedly.
"Oh, I'm sorry. We're down a butler today, princess"
Hadrey chuckled in irritation before she gazed up at him. "Alright, enough games. Where is he?"
"You know, I've dreamt of this?" Uma asked, pulling her apron off. "You wanting something from me, and me watching you squirm like a worm on a hook."
"I'm so flattered that you dream of me." Hadrey rolled her eyes. "I haven't given you a thought since I left."
"I wanted Mal to be here, too, you know." Uma said nonchalantly. "Seems like you have a penchant for not following instructions."
"Well, don't we all?" Hadrey replied, tilting her head to the side.
Uma slammed her hands on the table in anger, seething over at Hadrey who just smiled.
"Look at you, you have the perfect little life, don't you?" Uma asked, to which Hadrey just replied with a smile and a shrug.
"Don't know."
"Doesn't she have the perfect little life?" Uma asked out loud to the patrons in the restaurant, rage dripping clearly from her words. "And we're 20 years into a garbage strike."
"Listen here," Hadrey raised her head, eyes glaring into Uma. "If you have some kind of score to settle with me, then do it. Bring it on. Leave Ben out of this."
Uma laughed sarcastically, sauntering over and leaning over Hadrey. "It may be a little unnecessary but, it is so much fun."
Hadrey clenched her jaw.
"Here's the deal." Uma sat down in front of her, propping her arm up into an arm-wrestling position.
"Just like your mother, always a catch." Hadrey replied, sarcasm dripping off of her voice.
"If you win, Ben's free to go." Uma mocked.
Hadrey pursed her lips and clasped her hand with Uma, going into position.
"Don't you want to know what I get if I win?" Uma asked.
"Still dreaming?"
Uma chuckled. "So sure of her self. Last time I checked, Maleficent was like that. Remember? The one who 'practically raised' you? How did that work out for her?"
At that moment, Hadrey glared at uma and mentally patted herself on the back for not letting Mal come along.
"On three. One,"
"Two,"
"Three."
They started to wrestle, Uma clearly struggling while Hadrey had a relaxed smirk on her face.
"You know, your whole princess act with Mal? I never bought it for a second."
"Did you?" Hadrey asked, voice devoid of concern or interest.
"You can stick a tiara on a villain, but you're still a villain."
"And you can slap a pirate hat on, but you're still shrimpy." Hadrey teased, using Mal's nickname for Uma that she so clearly hated.
Uma faltered for a second, letting Hadrey take on the lead.
As she was losing, Hadrey's eyes turned black.
Uma only laughed. "If I win, you bring me the wand."
Hadrey stopped, her eyes flashing back to brown. "Wait, what?"
Uma slammed her hand to the table, causing all the pirates around her to scream and cheer.
Hadrey only stared at her hand in disbelief.
Uma leaned over with a smirk. "Now, if you want beasty-boy back, bring me Fairy Godmother's wand to my ship tomorrow at 12-noon. Sharp."
She sauntered away, stopping short before turning back. "Oh, and if you blab? You can kiss your baby goodbye."
Hadrey only stared at Uma's retreating back.
