King's Study

King George I POV

It is the seven youngest third birthday and I do not feel like celebrating the day my true wife died giving birth to our youngest. Theodore is now a widow as well as his wife got sick with the sweating sickness two years ago.

Flashback starts

June 12th 1520

Sierra had been talking to one of Nadine's childhood friends, who unknowingly had the sweating sickness. The next day, she was diagnosed and put under quarantine. She succumbed to the sickness five days later, today and now, we are at her grave, Theodore crying as he fell in love with his wife and all because a family friend, she was gone.

August 10th 1520

I see Theodore roaring drunk as he tries to slip into a world where Sierra is still here. He still cannot deal with the fact that Henry, Jacob, Joseph, Grace, George, Michael, Samuel, David, and Faith are without a mother.

I take him and dunk his head in a bucket of cold water to sober him up for his kids. He gasps as he gets his head out of the bucket, and then groans as I expect he has a hangover headache from drinking at all.

End Flashback

The Boleyn heir has even had children three years ago, an heir to the family. I hear his wife is ill and may not carry another child again. George is worried about Verona as this is her last babe, her last pregnancy.

Start flashback

April 10th 1519

I am here at the Boleyn's request and I hear Verona scream as she pushes out babe after babe, triplets. George goes to his wife and sees that she's birthed two sons and a daughter.

''The first son shall be named Edward Boleyn in honor of Edward Seymour, my late brother-in-law. The youngest shall be named Harold Boleyn. And our little girl Nadine Boleyn after the true Queen of England.'' George Boleyn pronounces.

January 15th 1520

Nine months later, Verona births five children, three boys and two girls. They are named George Boleyn, Thomas Boleyn, Lucas Boleyn, Artemis Boleyn, and Felicity Boleyn.

I am jealous of George Boleyn as he still has his wife, Verona while I, the King do not have my one Queen by my side. What is he gets have his Reina de su corazon while I live without mine?

And may have a Queen again but she will never be the Reina de mi corazon but she tries to act like it. She wants to have a child with me but I will not have anymore children, not unless it is really needed but I doubt it is.

I go and visit Nadine's tomb and wish that she was here still and that she hadn't fallen for that man's words.

End flashback.

My true Queen's chosen bride for me, Queen only in name but in all reality Princess consort Ariana comes in and wants to talk. Probably talk about why she hasn't conceived yet, or about some other frivolous thing that I have no want to know of.

The people do not like her she does not sew for the homeless, the poor, servants, anyone like her cousin did. Nadine was a remarkable woman who did not deserve to die so young.

I even had to attend King Cornelius's wedding and wish that Nadine was there as I watched him and his wife exchange vows.

Start flashback

April 22 1522

I watch as King Cornelius of Germany marries Lady, now Queen Hedwig and kisses her with the same passion I used to kiss Nadine with and wish Nadine was with me instead of Ariana.

I see the love they share and envy Cornelius as he still has his true love and I have to live without mine.

I congratulate the happy couple and then go back to England as I cannot be near any reminders that Nadine is longer with me. Why Nadine? Why did you fall for his tricks?

End flashback

Ah Nadine, how I miss thy love and light. You were my light, my love. And no one can replace you for you were my sun, you were my reason for living. I only go on for our children and even then, I don't think it'll be enough soon I cannot eat nor sleep without someone having to force me to.

I don't remember the year 1519 very well as I got drunk every day and only stopped for the children. For they should not have a drunk father.
