"Hey Tohru."

"Hi Elma. What's up?"

"Um I just wanted to tell you thanks for letting me know about the sale on potatoes. I got a good bargain."

"That's ok. I have something on the stove. Talk later."

"Um Nai and I are going to the mall on Saturday. Do you want to come?"

*a pause*

"Ehm...I have some plans. I have to really go now Elma, bye"

She hangs up.

The next day Tohru calls back Elma.

"I'm sorry I hung up on you so suddenly. The reason I don't want to come with you is, I don't like malls because they remind me of castles."

"It's fine. You don't have to force yourself" Elma replies. She wears a slightly concerned expression.

"You know Tohru, malls aren't so bad. Maybe you can give it another chance?"

"Muh Elma, you're always persistent. Ok fine."

"Saturday it is then! Bye Tohru"

They hang up.

"Nai, I hope you don't mind I asked Tohru to come to the mall with us."

"I'm looking forward to it. We haven't hung out in a while. It will be like a girls' day"

Saturday:

So the three of us stand in front of the large Oborozooka Mall.

"It's gotten bigger since I came with Miss Kobayashi and Kanna" Tohru comments.

"It's always been that way. Don't worry it will be fine" I tell her.

"Do you want to sit outside for a bit before going in?" Elma asks her.

She inhales a whiff of air. "Nope. I'll be fine"

"Well let's go" Elma says.

I push the door and hold it for Elma and Tohru.

Tohru gulps.

"There's a lot of people here" she says.

"Dragons got killed in large buildings like these with many humans inside."

"Tohru, look around you. These humans are weak and different from the ones in our world. Look at that old man in the chair. He's harmless. Look at that family. They just want to have a good time" Elma says calmly.

I have always admired how Elma makes people calm.

"Maybe you're right Elma" Tohru says quietly.

"I want to check out the clothing store on the second floor" I announce.

"Let's go up" Elma tells Tohru.

On the escalator, Tohru begins to feel a bit shaky. She's sweating.

Elma who's behind her, notices, and holds her hand. I hold her other hand.

She smiles.

We all step off the escalator at the top.

"See that wasn't so bad?" Elma says.

"Yeah. Thanks guys. So which store should we go to? There are tons here."

"Wego has some cute stuff" I tell them.

"There are so many nice outfits here" Elma says.

"Yeah. I'm going to pick two or three outfits and try them on in the dressing room" I say.

"Ok I'll just look around" Tohru says.

"Come on Tohru. I'm sure there's something you want. Let's pick out an outfit for you, ok?" Elma says.

"Well I did bring money from the maid cafe shifts I worked."

Elma picks out a turquoise skirt. "This will make your legs look longer."

Next she picks out a light purple top.

"This will go with the breasts."

"It's surprising how you have good fashion taste. I thought you only cared about food."

"Well I have been reading magazines"

"Try this outfit." Elma follows Tohru to the changing room. Tohru changes.

"It looks cute on you. I think Kobayashi will like it"

"Huh" Tohru's eyes widen.

"In that case, I'll take it."

"Elma, guess what, I got some sexy lingerie" Tohru says. "I think Miss Kobayashi will like it"

"I guess. Look at this pretty summer dress" Elma says.

They examine it. "I think the colour scheme matches your skin tone. This dress is simply you"

"It costs $10,000 yen though. There goes all my savings" Tohru sighs.

Tohru tries on the dress. She can't stop looking at herself in the mirror.

"Like you wanna wear this dress back home" Elma tells her from outside the door.

She comes out. "What do you think?"

Elma gives her a thumbs up. "It takes your body nicely. It curves perfectly around your hips and highlights your breasts."

"Elma, Nai is right there. Stop complimenting me. Only Miss Kobayashi shall praise Tohru in her new dress."

"Ehh? I didn't mean it like that!"

"Looks like you two are having fun" I say.

"Oh Nai. You're back. You got what you wanted?" Elma asks.

"Yes. I got three new outfits."

"I can't wait to see you wear them."

Elma buys a new work shoes and a handbag.

We all pay and leave the store.

"I'm hungry" Elma says.

The wait to buy pizza was long but it was worth it. The three of us sit at a table near the water fountain.

"So Tohru, how are you finding the mall since we came?" I ask her.

She stirs her soda with the straw. "It's been fun. The last time I came was to buy a backpack for Kanna. That was a while ago. I'm doing something I'm enjoying now. I'm grateful. I will repay this favour"

"It's fine Tohru. You have done a lot for us" I say.

Elma: "Tohru, you do not need to worry about the humans here. If anyone tries to kill you, send them to me. But I think you're strong enough to save yourself."

"Yeah. Besides, the castles in the other world weren't this advanced and had a lot more weapons"

"Hey the new Godzilla movie is showing. Do you guys want to see it?" I ask.

"I heard about Ghidora. He's a three-headed dragon-like creature" Tohru says.

"Sounds interesting" Elma comments.

"I'll buy the tickets then."
