Elma got her license so she's taking us out for a drive.

"It's a nice ride you rented, Elma"

"Well I always wanted to know how it feels to drive a car."

The blue Toyota Aqua with shiny chrome rims is parked in front of our apartment building.

I place the babies in the back in the appropriate chairs and buckle them up.

"Haru, this is how you put on your seatbelt" Elma demonstrates it to him and he does it himself.

Elma: "You have the map?"

"Yeah"

I take the passenger seat beside her. She and I put on our seatbelts.

Elma puts on some dark brown sunglasses.

"Let's roll" she says in true "Letty" fashion.

I can't help to think how hot she she looks right now. So confident, so gorgeous. She reminds me of my early adolescence. My heart used to beat rapidly from watching Michelle Rodriguez play 'Letty' in the Fast Furious movies.

She starts to drive. I hold her hand

Haru: "Weee"

Elma: "Driving is nearly impossible without someone giving me instructions like the instructor did. So that's why I need you by my side more than ever, Nai. You're my GPS."

Nai: "I tried driving once. It got way too scary. My instructor had to take the wheel from me."

Elma: "I'll be happy to teach you again."

Nai: "I would be willing to learn again one day."

Elma: "So we're headed for that patisserie in the neighboring town. Please give me directions."

I take a glance at the map. We're right here so that means

Nai: "We cannot use the highway. We'll have to rely on the map. Take a left."

Elma turns the car. I glance at the twins in the mirror. Yuka and Haru are looking out the window and Ryou is playing with his toy.

Haru: " Riding in a car is so cool."

Elma: "It's cooler to drag race."

Nai: "Oy! No one is drag-racing today. We have to stay within the speed limit. Plus we have three kids too."

Elma: "Nai, you're no fun. I guess you're right though. When Tohru gets hers I'm challenging her to a race."

Nai: "Turn right in 5 metres"

Elma: "Got it" She makes a right turn.

Nai: "Make a left after the large tree."

Elma: "You're really good at this."

Nai: "I should be saying that about you."

The scenery changes. We have reached in the neighboring town which was much quieter than ours.

Elma: "We're getting very close to the patisserie."

Nai: "How do you know?"

Elma: "I can smell the delicious scent of strawberries."

Haru: "Me too!"

Sure enough we drive a little further and meet the place.

Elma: "It looks like a tasty slice of heaven here.

I'm gonna park." She looks up and down at the pink and yellow building. It had a cherry on top.

Nai: "This was nice of you- learning to drive just to treat your family."

Elma lightly blushes.

Elma: "Thanks. The macarons are whispering my name so let's go."
