Day 2 of Elma and Nai's vacation
Elma's POV:
"Let's go ice-skating. There's an ice skating arena nearby."
Nai is on her phone. I put it down to her lap so I could get her attention.
"I don't know. I never skated" she said.
"Come on. It will be fun. I had a good time ice skating with Kanna once."
I wear a blue puff jacket and Nai has on a white Uniqlo jacket with a scarf.
We rent 2 pairs of figure skates.
I step on the rink with Nai clutching me tightly.
She holds onto the bars.
"That will help you get a good feeling of the ice and wearing skates."
Nai: "I hope I don't fall."
"You wouldn't. I'm right here."
"Ready?" I ask her.
"Yeah." She holds my arms. She perspires from her nervousness.
"Bend your knees. It helps to keep your balance."
She does this.
"You can hold on to me until you get into it."
Her eyes smile at me.
She and I glide across the rink.
After about 20 minutes, she lets go and make monkey arms. And now she's skating on her own!
"That's it, Nai. You're doing good. Make a penguin wobble movement."
She begins speeding up.
"See. I'm doing it" she says proudly.
"Woah! Watch out!" She's heading into the bars and not slowing down.
"Elma, I'm going to crash!"
"Not if I have you" I swiftly swerve in front of her blocking her hit.
She falls into my arms instead.
I touch my forehead with hers. Nai's breathing loudly out of exhaustion.
"You're safe."
"Thank you."
We continued skating. She fell once but got back up. After skating, we went for boba and cake at "Mr. Ootani's Boba Milk Tea."
