The bedroom door creaks. I perk up, waking up from my sleep. Elma is up too.

I turn on my lamp to see it was Haru, hugging his Pikachu plushie. He looks adorable in his new orange and blue pajamas.

"What's wrong hun?" Elma asks, now sitting up fully.

"I had a bad dweam."

"Aughh come here." She taps her lap for Haru to come.

He hops on the bed and into Elma's lap.

I stroke his soft hair. I notice his chest is still slowly rising and falling.

"Do you wanna talk about it, baby?" I ask.

The three year old shakes his head.

Elma hugs Haru, holding him close to her bosom. He buries himself in her chest. As we huddle together, Haru starts to cry quietly.

Elma: "It's okay. Don't cry. You're safe. Your parents are here."

"Do you want to sleep with us tonight?" I ask him, brushing his shoulder to soothe him.

He nods.

"Okay Haru-kun. You can sleep here."

"Can you tell me a bedtime stowy?" he asks.

"Of course. I'll tell you a story of the moon rabbit."

Haru's intrigued. He listened to every word I told him.

Elma: "Did you like that story?"

"Yep. I will look for rabbit's face when I look at the moon!"

Elma beams at me.

Haru yawns.

Elma and I cuddle our boy until he fell asleep between the two of us.

I kissed his forehead. He peacefully slept in wrapped in our embrace for the rest of the night.
