:Chapter Start:

Freindship Maine-Witstaff manor-Entry Hall-Ten minutes later

Garrett's day had been completely ruined when he was awoken by three ghosts possessing his body at the same time. It was a strange experience considering that he was standing on his own two feet and imitating a singing frog with a top hat and cane as he stepped down the stairs singing, "Hello my baby! Hello my darling! My rag tag girl!" before he suddenly tripped down the stairs as Egon and Ray arrived to see Garrett walking. Val and Tabbie, Tabbie pushing a wheelchair, arrived quickly before Egon noticed what was happening an fired his Phroton Gun at Garrett, zapping the three ghosts out his body before he collapsed.

Ray with his jaw drop suddenly shouts, "How did you not kill him?" as he rushed to Garrett's side and checks for a pulse and finding it steady.

"What a rush," Garrett jokes as he says, "Can all ghosts make it so you can move paralysed limbs."

"Yes, it would explain how Witstaff was killed. Fortunately you are extremely active so your health was not at risk," Egon states before helping Garrett into his wheel chair. Egon looks up to the laughing ghosts above them and asks, "I thought we already caught these three."

"Twice," Garrett states before speaking, "Though I should point out that both were dead lock sealed. As Danny called it."

Ray frowns before stating, "I went over the specks with Egon, no way they could have done it from the outside or inside."

That was when Egon's radio go off and Kylie spoke, "Egon, you, Doctor Stantz and the Mister and missus Fenton down to the Lab. We found something."

The Lab-that moment.

Danny was doing his best to calm a panicking Casper, who was struggling to contain his emotions and burst with ecto-plasmic power. Dani was doing her best to help calm Casper down while Kylie had spoken into her radio while reading a journal. In the octagonal doorway with two broken doors was the swirling vortex of a Ghost Portal an advanced piece of technology that was over two hundred years old and still active.

Danny finally pulled Casper to the side and says, "Dani go with Casper out the Lab, we will go through everything to get a clear idea of what is going on."

Dani nods before taking Casper out the underground Lab as Danny takes a deep breath before just staring at the portal. Kylie finally comments, "So this is an artificial Ghost Portal?" Kylie then looks to Danny and says, "What are you thinking?"

Danny sighs loudly before stating, "There is only one way to actually open a portal to the Ghost Zone. Someone has to die in the portal to be permanent."

Kylie blinks and states, "So Casper?"

"May not actually be dead," Danny states.

"That is why you stopped him using the machine," Kylie states with Danny giving her a firm nod before the chair entrance came in with Egon now sporting a mullet from the machines upstairs along with a clean shave. Egon stepped out the chair before it was sent back up the entrance ramp. Egon was now staring at the portal as Ray Stants arrived with a bunch of shaving cream on his jump suit followed by Maddie Fenton also covered in shaving cream.

Finally Jack Fenton arrived with a mullet, clean shaven and wearing a bow tie and a big smile on his face. Jack shouts, "Maddie, we should make Fenton Version of that it will be brilliant!" Jack then saw the Ghost Portal and froze before shouting, "Someone stole invention!"

Danny sighs before looking at the different journals until he found the dictating the Ghost Portal and speaks up, "Caspers father, he created this portal in order to find his wife for his son. Problem is the night it was activated by a lightning storm," he showed the book to his mother causing her to Gasp.

"Casper was inside at the time," Maddie states in shock.

"Yeah, then he invented a way to revive the dead, but," Danny starts as Maddie reads some of the notes.

"He had the wrong information," Maddie states.

Kylie, Egon and Ray were confused as they ask, "What was wrong?"

"He basically considered that Casper was completely dead and was using the science of the time to revive him. The side effects of which," Danny states while leaving the end result unsaid.

Maddie and Jack both sigh in sadness for a fellow inventor. Ray frowns before asking, "Could those three Ghost upstairs be a side effect then?"

"We have to remind Casper of his humanity and have him transform back into a human," Danny states surprising everyone.

Egon was the first to comment, "But he has been in his ghost form for Two hundred years at most, how could he survive that?"

Maddie and Danny were silent not liking what they would have to admit except Jack Fenton did it for them, "Well when the Ghost side of Danny takes over and he is fighting off the dark impulses, he stops aging."

Danny sighs and says, "Thanks dad," the sarcasm was strong with this one.

Jack smiles and says, "Your welcome Danny. Now, how has this Portal not exploded?"

Egon, Ray and Kylie was surprised before Danny looked at the blueprints and says, "It appears that the inventor created a filter that powers the portal and get this the filter is ten thousand times larger then what we used. The math indicate that the filter would fifty times as long," he found the hidden lever to open a secret door hidden behind a rock wall and the filter was almost completely empty.

Jack laughed and says, "Please smaller is better!"

Danny shakes his head before Maddie comments, "When you are limited on space dear. This Inventor clearly had space and funds to spare on development."

Jack waved her off before Danny spoke again, "Mom, Dad, I need you two to look at this machine. I don't want anyone using it until we know it is safe for anyone. Doctors please go over these documents and journals. Kylie," he looks to Kylie who appears to have been looking at a ghost as she had found an old photo. "Kylie?"

Kylie looked up to Danny and says, "You three need to see this," indicating the Fentons.

Danny was the first to look at the Photo and could only frown at the sight, for in the picture was a young man slightly older then Danny, with a woman and what appeared to be a new born baby. The problem with the photo was the man in the image looked exactly like Danny while the wife's face in the image was damaged from time. Danny frowns and says, "I need to speak with Casper," Danny went to the chair and vanished back up the ramp before the chair returned before Kylie showed everyone how to summon the chair back before heading up after Danny.

Egon then asks, "Danny has been a big help to the team. Would you be able to fill in some gaps about his abilities for research purposes only?" Maddie frowns while Jack joyfully does just that.

Upstairs-With Danny-Five minutes later.

Kylie chases after Danny as he searched the house quickly, Kylie suddenly shouts, "Danny what are you thinking?"

Danny finally stops and says, "I think I have an idea on what is going on but I need to find Casper and his Uncles," With that Danny continues searching until they reach the green house where Casper was being protected by Dani, while Tabbie hugs the young ghost, as Casper's Uncles were seen destroying the 'Young' ghost's flower garden and Chicken Coop due to apparently bringing some annoying Ghost hunters. Danny glares at the three as he says, "well would you look at that, three idiots with an IQ to share."

Stretch gets in Danny's face and says, "Oh if it isn't the fleshy how tricked us with coffee. Hey boys how about we teach him to fly," Stretch grabs Danny intending to fly out the house only to suddenly have a white gloved hand crushing what was his windpipe and a pair of glowing green eyes stared right back.

Danny Phantom glares at Stretch and says, "You know, I just learnt that Casper over there isn't as dead as he seems to be. I know what he is and now I understand what you three spirits are. Casper is a Halfa," the three Uncles appeared to not understand what he was talking about, "That means he is like me," Stretch starts to freeze in Danny's grip as he says, "The only reason that the three of you even still exist is because Casper does not want to be alone again and once you three are put to rest Casper will be going with me to New York where myself and Dani to live. Because I always wanted a brother, two sisters are nice but not the same, except Dani always calling dibs on girls we both find interesting!"

Stretch was frozen as Danny dropped him before Casper get's in front of him and says, "Stop! Please don't hurt my uncles!"

Danny frowns before grabbing Casper and zapping Casper and in his place was a young black haired eleven year old that suddenly fell to the ground wearing what appeared to be a tailored red suit from the eighteen hundreds. Dani sped over and caught Casper as Danny says, "Welcome to the future, Casper Fenton," Casper blinks as he looks to Danny Phantom, "Even if you weren't family I would be doing this and helping you because frankly no one deserves to live like this. In life or death."

Casper frowns before asking, "What about my Uncles."

"The only reason they keep escaping the Ghost Traps is because of you Casper as you don't want to be alone. Which won't be anymore," Danny states with authority and control that only he could have. Danny then freezes Stinky and Fatso before he comments, "You know you would love our sister Jazz. Though be prepared to answer her questions."

Casper shakes his head before groaning and clutching his stomach as Danny and Kylie rushed to his side as Kylie asks, "What's wrong?"

As if to answer Casper's stomach roared and Casper asks, "Am I hungry?" causing Danny to smile before walking away from the frozen ghosts with Dani and Tabbie. Danny led them to the kitchen where Danny started cooking some eggs and other food that Casper had from the store. Danny made an extra special meal, though it was smaller than normal due to concerns to Casper's health. Casper took a bite before crying in joy as Danny smiles at the help Casper was able to get. Everyone beside Danny was eating when Casper asks, "What did you do to me?"

Danny smiles lightly before answering, "I gave you some energy in order to collapse your Ecto Energy so that it was focused into your core. Once you have recovered enough I will teach you how to do it yourself. Though be careful you can still use your ghost powers as a human, so it will be difficult to stay solid."

Dani nods before commenting, "Yeah, you could lose your pants when you see a girl you like," Casper blushes and was touching his cheeks in shock at the warmth he was feeling.

Maddie suddenly rushed inside and says, "Danny where is Casper, we can't let him use that machine if he is like you!"

Danny frowns as she did not notice Casper eating and finding the sensation crazy. Danny states, "Well good news, he is and he is enjoying some food for the first time in two hundred years."

Maddie sees Casper and says, "Hello, I am Maddie, I married into the Fenton Family about twenty four years ago to Jack Fenton. We just learnt that you are related to us," she hands Casper the picture of his family as Maddie states, "You are family and we would be honoured to be part of yours."

Casper frowns before stating, "Um, this is a lot to take in."

Dani shrugs and says, "Hey, you could be the female clone of a boy like me," that got a raised eyebrow from Tabbie as Dani continued, "Trust me, it is already a shock that there is four Halfa's in the world."

Maddie could only sigh and say, "What do you want Casper?"

"I don't know," Casper states.

Danny simply says, "Well, Casper, our plan is to sort out your uncles before heading home, want to come with to New York?" Casper's eyes widened before Danny also comments, "Plus we can teach you about your powers and then field trip to the moon. Or even the Ghost Zone where I can show you around the realm of the dead and meet my friends on the other side."

Dani groans and says, "He is not a frog prince Danny," Danny shakes his head at that. Dani then continues, "Though if Casper is the one summoning Ghosts."

"That could be one of Casper's powers, the problem being that he summoned the Ghosts of three crime bosses that hate each other. Jazz will be able to talk help him," Danny states.

With Crittenden-In a separate section of the manor.

Crittenden and her assistant had snuck their way back into the manor after stealing the fuel needed to revive the dead. They knew where the treasure was now, in the vault in the Lab underground. Now though they were arguing about who would die to retrieve the treasure. Crittenden simply states, "Look, you die come back as a ghost and you can recover treasure and then we revive you in the machine simple."

Her assistant simply states, "Not so simple in that you may just leave me to rot in death while you run off." Crittenden growls before grabbing an axe to start chasing her assistant as he was holding the Lazarus Fuel. Though he managed to escape by covering the floor in lubricants and cleaning fluid before Crittenden slipped and slides out the manor before her assistant sighs and walks back to the study quickly holding the Lazarus fuel as he returned to the Lab in time to find Egon, Ray and Jack arrived to look at him in surprise before he looked around and hands the fuel to them and says, "I am breaking into this vault now to take the treasure inside. Stop me and I destroy this," indicating the fuel source for the Lazarus machine.

Egon simply says, "Go ahead, that fuel source is incapable of fully reviving the dead anyway. The research was flawed."

Jack simply asks, "What kind of treasure?"

The assistant blinks before stating, "I don't know just that it was mentioned on the deed that states that property needs to be given to the descendents of the original owner."

Egon frowns before Ray states, "Well then Crittenden is in trouble we just found evidence that the property belongs to the Fenton Family."

The Assistant did not care as he found a metal bar used for opening crates to wedge into the door and started pulling to break the vault door. As Egon contacted Danny, Casper, Maddie, Val and Kylie so that they could return to the lab quickly only they would not arrive in time as suddenly a large female ghost version of Crittenden knocked Egon, Ray and Jack away from the vault and the Ghost Portal. Danny stood on the back of the chair while Val had Casper sitting on her lap as they sped underground and into the lab where they see Crittenden threatening her former assistant as she threatened him with death if he did not set up the machine. The Assistant did just that while Crittenden broke the vault door.

Casper saw her pull out a treasure chest as Casper shouts, "My treasure!?"

"Your Treasure, my treasure this is my house and there is nothing you can do to stop me," Crittenden laughs as her former assistant starts up the machine. "Now if you will excuse me I am going to revive and cash in my treasure," she shoves her assistant drops the chest on the ground as Maddie and Kylie arrive and sees Crittenden enter the machine. The chest was broken open and the machine started draining energy from the Ghost Portal's filter before it shined with power and a human looking Crittenden stepped out only she was heavily mutated she screams as Danny pulls Casper out of sight as Crittenden melting into smoke and no longer existed.

The Assistant asks, "What happened?"

Danny answered, "Of course the power needed to revive the dead could have only be made from the energy made from the Ghost Portal," Danny sighs and says, "add in the mistakes made in researching Casper's new form, it only worked half way and with her having a Ghost Core she would have damaged it in the process. Which is probably why Casper has forgotten so much without visual aids." Which was true, because he had noticed the similarities in the photo of his father and Danny, but could not remember his face in person or his mother. Just sensations of the past and when he looks at the Ghost Portal he only had a feelings of fear and dread. Danny then spoke up as he says, "There is nothing to fear Casper, and it is just a doorway now."

Casper simply says, "I don't like it."

Danny simply offers his hand as he says, "Do you trust me?" Casper nodded before saying, "Then trust me now," with that Danny led Casper into the Ghost Portal and suddenly found himself being embraced in warmth as they reached the other side and found themselves in a bright and lovely town filled with ghosts in an eternal fair of celebration. Danny smiles and says, "Well this is better than the one that was in my parent's house. It was like a bus stop."

Casper saw all the different ghosts watching them as he asks, "Are we allowed to be here?"

Danny smirks before whipping his hand through a nearby wall easily like he was the ghost, only he was human in the Ghost Zone, "Here humans are the ghosts. Sirs," Danny nods to a couple gentlemen ghost were riding past. Casper gasps before saying, "Plus I am sure your uncles would like it here. Plenty of lovely ladies to meet and greet."

Casper nods in understanding before asking, "Is the entire Ghost Zone like this?"

"No, there is a series of floating islands with different worlds to explore. Lands filled with knights and dragons, Pirates and treasure, gods and demons to watch out for. Though we should head back," Danny states disappointing Casper. "I have to make a phone call and you have to collect your treasure, Captain," he shifted to an imitation of a Pirate exciting Casper as they rushed back to the portal in time to find Casper's Uncles about to open the chest when suddenly shouts, "Man those ghost ladies were attractive in there."

As soon as he finished talking they broke the sound barrier speeding into the ghost zone and getting lost in the infinite void of the dead. With that Danny opened the chest for Casper in time for the assistant to see a two hundred year old baseball and baseball mitt.

The Assistant shouts, "A couple books? That was the treasure?"

"Frankenstein signed by Mary Shelly and a copy of William Shakespeare's written works," Casper states with a light smile as he says, "My mom taught me how to read with them," Casper was crying lightly as he remembered his mother in sadness before admitting, "She got sick one day, so I started reading to her. She loved the story of Frankenstein's creation, but was always sad that no one could see him as anything more than just a monster."

Casper's light smiles were met with smiles from everyone while Crittenden's assistant simply left the group alone to head home and look for work, his car missing where he would learn that Crittenden drove it off a cliff before she died.

Danny stands and says, "I have to make a phone call."

"Who are you calling?" Kylie asks, while Maddie and Val had an idea who.

"The FBI, with a ghost portal here and the fact that someone needs to keep an eye on it means that I someone is moving in for good to keep an eye on everything," Danny answers.

"What do the FBI have anything to do with this?" a recovered Egon questions.

The answer came from Val, "They recently created a Supernatural Investigation division after the discovery of ghosts being used to manipulate people into committing crimes. And with the existence of Casper, we need their help setting up identification papers and he needs to be added to the government list of Halfas. Otherwise he would be placed in a ghost and human proof cell until it was sorted that he is not threat."

Danny had already left back up the entry chair before heading out the front, Casper was the next to go, with Maddie and Val. Egon and Ray stayed with the portal to make sure everything was intact. Jack remained unconscious for the rest of the day. Once in the entrance hall he contacted the FBI, with the number he was given and was given a response time of one hour and forty minutes for a team to arrive. Danny took a seat on the stairs while Garrett arrived with Dani and Tabbie, before later being met with Casper, Val and Kylie joined them, with Casper carefully reading his book as they waited.

One hour and fifty minutes later

Danny, who was still waiting for his contact with Val and Kylie apparently sleeping on his shoulder. Garrett had wheeled away with Dani and Tabbie to get something to eat with Maddie. Casper was continuing to read.

There was a knock on the door while everyone heard babbling about statistics and other random things. Danny carefully woke the two women sleeping on his shoulder. Danny went over and answered the door to see two men wearing average suits, "Agents Hotch and Doctor Reid. Thank you for coming."

Agent Hotch was a no nonsense man with a piercing gaze, with black hair and clean shaven. Doctor Reid was a rather youthful man with a carefree expression on his face. Agent Hotch spoke, "Mister Fenton, I was surprised to hear that you called, especially when you informed us of a new Halfa and Ghost Portal."

"More like old," Danny states, "Casper!" Casper looked up from his book as Danny waved him over, "This is Casper, a two hundred year old Halfa."

Doctor Reid frowns at that as he asks, "Why does he look like child."

"Because he is," Danny states, "Stay is Ghost Form too long and people will notice that you are not aging. Doctors Spangler and Stantz are down in the Lab checking the status of the portal. Though we need to talk about documentation for Casper and a government cordon for the place."

Agent Hotch simply states, "Doctor Reid how about you talk with Casper and get a profile started for our files."

Doctor Reid nods and says, "He is not a serial killer you know. He is a kid."

Agent Hotch simply states, "He is also half ghost with an unknown amount of damages that could create issues with their mental faculties. So basic mental stability tests." Doctor Reid nods and follows Casper up to his toy room where they could talk. Agent Hotch then asks, "Can I please see this Lab, for security reasons."

With that Danny led Hotch to the study before offering him a seat on the upper balcony before tugging the tassel of the lamp as Danny says, "Remain seated and keep your hands in the ride and enjoy," with that Agent Hotch was sent speeding backwards as Dani and Tabbie was stepping through the secret entrance to the study to see Agent Hotch speeding past them. Danny waited five minutes before the chair sped back into place before Danny, Dani and Tabbie were sitting on the chair as they were sent down to the Lab. To see Agent Hotch introducing himself to Egon and Ray informing them of the state of government oversight before stating that he seen everything he needed to see before Danny showed him the way back to the surface.

Agent Hotch states, "We should talk in private," Danny nods and they returned to the surface to speak in the study.
