Chapter 41: SAMBEL

We headed back to the van and loaded up to backtrack to Belfast. We weren't that far off, but figured we better go ahead and head to SAMBEL's clubhouse. I was very anxious to see Ravi as well as Gemma and Abel. I was also nervous to finally meet Kaylee. I laid my head against Tig in the van. He kept kissing the side of my head and whispering his love for me. I couldn't stop smiling.

We pulled up to the SAMBEL clubhouse and everyone began clapping and walking towards the van. Jax pulled into a spot and put the van in park. I noticed Ravi and all my worries melted away. I was pushing Tig out of the van on one side before even Jax had his door open. The minute my feet touched the ground, I was off. I ran as fast as my pregnant belly would allow me and Ravi met me halfway. He looked a little shocked by how big my stomach was but still pulled me into as tight of a hug as he could.

He kissed my forehead saying, "Reba, I missed you so much darling. I'm so sorry I had to leave so soon after your mom. I wish I could've been there for all of this."

I shake my head as I feel tears come to my eyes before saying, "No. Don't worry dad. I'm fine. I had a good support system, and I'm here now. We're okay. Your grandbabies are okay."

Ravi glanced down at my stomach again before shyly saying, "Do you mind if I feel your stomach?" I grab Ravi's hand and place it on my stomach where one of the twins is kicking me. He grins at the feeling before saying, "How big are they?"

I put my own hand on my stomach saying, "The last time we really weighed them was the 16th or so. They were closer to 3 pounds with Alec still weighing an ounce more than Skye. Skye's going to be smaller than her brother that's for sure, but she has caught up, she used to weigh like 6 ounces less than him, but she's caught up some. That might just be because Alec isn't putting on as much weight since I'm 30 weeks. My doctor said I should aim to carry until about 32 weeks, but I could go longer. That's just my goal."

Chibs walks up to us at this moment and shakes Ravi's hand as he says, "I hate to break this up, but my mum is very excited to meet ye lass."

Ravi smiles at the two of us before saying, "Yeah, go meet Kaylee darling. We'll talk more later."

I smile at Ravi as Tig comes up and takes my hand. Chibs looks down at me before asking, "Ye ready lass?" I nod my head again as Tig squeezes my hand tighter and Chibs leads us towards a woman with light brown hair that looks beautiful. She's got a soft smile about her and she's got a couple of wrinkles around her eyes, but not many. She smiles lovingly at the three of us and glances back at us with these all-knowing brown eyes. She really does look like a slightly older version of Chibs, despite her hair being a bit lighter. Chibs stopped in front of her and hugged her before saying, "Mum, this is Tig and Reba. Tig and Reba, this is my mum, Kaylee."

Kaylee steps away from Chibs before pulling me into a hug saying, "It's very lovely to meet ye, Reba. I'm so glad the two of ye found each other through this world. It's great having a sibling. I sometimes felt guilty I never gave one to him, but I'm glad he's got ye now."

I smiled at Kaylee before saying, "Thank you for loving him and teaching him love. I couldn't imagine myself without an older brother, and he's very protective of me and these two."

She smiles before saying, "Aye I'm glad he is. What are their names again if I may ask?"

I take her hand and place it on my stomach to one side saying, "This one is Filip Alecxander. We're going to be calling him Alec. He's a little bit bigger than his sister and he moves less frequently." She smiles at me mentioning his first name as I move her hand to the lower part of my belly saying, "And this one here is Archemina Skyelar. Her nickname is Skye and she's smaller than Alec. She likes to sit near the bottom of my stomach. She also is probably going to be involved in gymnastics or something with the amount of flips she likes to do."

Kaylee smiles and I see her move to wipe a tear away before she says, "Thank ye for allowing me to feel them."

I shake my head at her saying, "No thanks necessary. You can feel them anytime you want to. If it's not too much to ask, would you be okay if they call you Grandmaw?" I paused before quickly adding, "Or whatever you prefer."

Kaylee wipes another tear away saying, "Nanna, if that's okay."

Tig and I smiled at her as Tig said, "That's perfect. And we'll ask Ravi in a bit what he wants to be called."

Jax comes up behind us and spins me around before saying, "Wendy and Abel are coming down, so be ready for that. Now come with and I'll introduce you to Keith McGee." I grinned at the thought of Wendy and Abel as Jax walked me towards this McGee person. I saw an older man with a weird mustache and beard combo standing there with a couple other people. Jax walked me straight up towards him before saying, "Keith, this one here is Reba. Reba, this is Keith McGee SAMBEL President."

I shook his hand before saying, "It's a pleasure to meet you sir."

He gave me a small smile before saying, "Sir isn't necessary. Just call me Keith. It's very nice to meet ye, Reba. SAMBEL will do everything we can to help make sure that ye are safe."

I smiled at him slightly before saying, "Thank you again for everything."

At about that moment I heard Wendy call out, "Reba!"

I turned around just quick enough to see Wendy put Abel down on the ground and Abel start waddling towards me. I dropped to my knees and waited for Abel. He wrapped his chubby little arms around me and I breathed in his unique scent still tinted with the slight smell of a newborn. I felt Abel place a sloppy kiss against my cheek and I could feel him smile against me. I moved to sit into a cross legged position so I could hold him tighter to my chest without my belly getting in the way.

Abel took a deep breath before quietly saying, "Babies."

Jax and Wendy both looked down at Abel before Wendy kneeled beside us saying, "Yeah Abel, babies."

Wendy wiped a tear a way and I looked between Jax and Wendy before asking, "Are you okay, Wendy?"

She nodded her head tearfully as Jax said, "She's fine Reba. That's just Abel's first word. We were worried about him because he hadn't started saying words yet and he's over a year. He's about a week out from being 13 months. We were really worried."

I kissed Abel's forehead before saying, "Awe Abel. You waited to show off until I got here huh?"

Abel nodded his head slightly and the three of us shared a quick laugh before I handed Abel back to Wendy. Jax reached his hands down to help pull me up off the ground. We noticed we had a little group staring at us and I just smiled. Wendy quickly handed Abel off to Jax and pulled me into a hug saying, "I'm so glad you're here now."

Hugging her back I say, "Me too Wendy. I missed you guys."

She got sight of my left ring finger before saying, "You didn't?"

I let a big grin grace my face before saying, "Tig did. At a castle when we got here. It was beautiful. Remind me to show you the picture. A nice lady stopped to take pictures of the moment for us."

Wendy smiles at the ring again saying, "It's beautiful."

I grin before saying, "Thank you, Wendy."

Tig walks back up to the three of us before asking, "What just happened? There were tears happening."

Jax grinned at Tig before saying, "Mr. Abel here finally said his first word when he was hugging Reba. He said babies." Abel reached his arms out towards me and Jax continued with, "I think Abel's about to give you a run for your money Tig. All he wants is Reba right now."

I took Abel from Jax saying, "That's okay though. Tig can sleep on the floor and Abel can sleep with me in the bed."

Abel let out a little laugh at the comment and Tig shook his head before smiling softly and saying, "I don't think so. I don't want to share my fiancée on our first night here."

Jax shook his head at the two of us before turning to Wendy and saying, "Well Wendy, I think for the next few hours, we won't have our son. He doesn't want us right now."

Wendy just shook her head before saying, "That's alright. I'll be with Reba. I'm not leaving her anytime soon either. I want to know all about what's happened in the last week. Don't worry though; I'll introduce her to some more of SAMBEL."

For the next few hours, Wendy led me around SAMBEL introducing me to people and also learning about what happened in Charming the week they were gone. I told her about Marcus knowing about me being pregnant, and Clay acting weirdly while the boys were trying to leave. We finally made our way inside when Abel fell asleep against my shoulder. He wouldn't let anyone take him out of my arms while we were still walking around outside.

That night, I fell asleep pretty quickly on the couch holding Abel to my chest. I had a tiring day and I was also feeling a little bit of pain from moving around as much as I had. I knew I'd be in trouble when I saw Gemma the following morning. She'd get onto me for not strictly following my doctor's orders about bedrest. She had been out buying stuff for the twins and Abel when we showed up and wasn't going to be in until late that night. A few hours after I fell asleep, I felt someone tap my shoulder. I jerked slightly and pulled Abel closer to my chest. I opened my eyes to see Jax with his hands up. He smiled slightly before saying, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you, but we didn't want you to sleep down here all night. It's not a very comfortable couch."

I smiled at Jax before saying, "Thanks. I'm sorry. I must have been more exhausted than I thought."

Jax shook his head at me before saying, "No that's understandable. You're 30 weeks pregnant with twins, you're supposed to be on bedrest, you're probably jet lagged a bit, and you met a lot of different people yesterday. Thank you for getting him to crash out though. He's been trying to stay up late."

Smiling softly I shake my head before saying, "I didn't really do anything to get him to crash. Will you help me off this couch?"

Jax nodded his head at me and helped pull me up and off the couch with one hand while I kept my other firmly wrapped around Abel so he didn't fall. I gently transferred Abel to Jax's arms and thanked him again for waking me up. I walked up to mine and Tig's room and changed into a tank top and a pair of shorts. I curled up into the bed and before long I felt the other side of the bed dip. I opened my eyes to see Tig who whispered, "Sorry, baby. I didn't mean to wake you up."

I reached my hand out and ran it across the side of his face before saying, "I haven't fallen back to sleep yet. I just had my eyes closed thinking about the day."

He turned his head slightly and kissed my wrist before giving me a concerned look and asking, "Are you okay?" I nodded my head as he said, "Are they okay?"

I took a deep breath before saying, "Yeah. I think they are. They've both been pretty active today which I think is a good sign. Even Alec's been moving around more."

Tig smiled softly before asking, "I've been meaning to ask you; how do you know which one is moving in your stomach?"

I grabbed his hand and placed it where I knew Alec was sleeping before saying, "This one is Alec. It's a little bit harder outside of my belly, but I can tell it's him just because I can feel the weight moving around in there. He's got just a little bit more weight than Skye does." I moved his hand to the top of my belly where Skye's sleeping before saying, "And up here, you've got Skye. She'll move more often than Alec does, plus it's less weight. Like earlier tonight with Kaylee, Skye was sitting at the bottom of my stomach. I've felt her move all the way up throughout the night. Alec's wedging himself towards the bottom of my stomach, so he's probably going to come out first anyway."

Tig looked worried again as he asked, "Are you scared you're going to have them before 32 weeks?"

I shook my head slightly before saying, "I don't think I will, but if I do we'll figure it out. Gemma's been taking midwife classes and I think Kaylee's got a background in the medical field. Besides, if she doesn't I'm sure SAMBEL has someone they trust here to help take care of the babies. But I think it'll all work out in the end. I've got a good feeling."

Tig leaned across the bed and kissed my forehead before whispering, "I love you."

I smiled against him before saying, "I love you too."

I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I had a lot of fun writing this chapter. I know I've probably said this before but all mistakes are my own. I don't have a Beta and I've reread this story so many times, I don't always catch my mistakes. I do try to fix them though if I can. Anyway. Thanks for sticking with me and this story for so long.
