Chapter 43: Ravi and Kaylee

The day after everyone had our relaxing day, Tig and I were going to head into town with Ravi, Kaylee, and Chibs to go and pick out a couple of bassinets and stuff we couldn't physically ship from the States for the twins. We knew that I should be resting more, but we also knew we needed to get everything prepared for the twins' Kaylee had set us up a room next to our bedroom for the twins. She had also bought some bottles and a bottle warmer for them in case my breast feeding plan didn't go like I wanted it to. We were going to pick up a couple more bottles today though. It was annoying but we would figure it all out in the end.

After we finally got out of bed we went downstairs to find Happy making breakfast for the five of us that were leaving the house for the day. We sat around the table with eggs, bacon and biscuits and Kaylee looked at Happy before saying, "I don't know very much about this Clay person, but maybe ye should come along in case he has people out and about looking to see where you guys are."

Happy smiled at Kaylee as he said, "I don't know if he's going to have anyone looking for us up here though. He thinks we're down in Dingle. He doesn't know how close you are to SAMBEL and I think it's hilarious."

Ravi chimed into the conversation with, "Why don't you come along anyway. Six sets of eyes are better than five, and I would like to get to know you more since you're so close to Reba here."

Happy glanced between the both of them before saying, "Alright, if you're sure, I think I will go ahead and join you on this adventure."

I jump up as quickly as I can and walk around the table and hug Happy from behind. He smiles back at me and I say, "I'm glad you're coming with us." I glance over at Tig to see him grinning at the two of us. I smile softly at him and ask, "What are you grinning about?"

Tig shakes his head before softly replying, "Nothing. I'm just glad you get along with everyone so well, and I'm sure Chibs is happy about it too."

Chibs chimes up from his spot at the table saying, "Aye. I am glad ye get along with everyone. I wasn't expecting to help ye find a boyfriend though, but it's all worked out for the best."

Ravi and Kaylee say together, "Yes it has."

I glance between the two of them and realize something is going on and a quick look to Ravi and a slight nod from him confirms what I think. I remind myself to talk to him later on about it where it's just the two of us around. I glance over at Chibs and I see him putting the pieces together in his head as well. I can see when it clicks in his head because he glances between the two of them then quickly looks over at me and I nod my head ever so slightly and then move my finger to my lips so he doesn't ask them about it right now. He nods his head back at me as a smile graces his face.

After we finish eating, we all go and change into clothes for the day. I put on a pair of fleece leggings and a sweater that hung off one of my shoulders. I sat down on the bed and Tig grinned at me before asking, "Do you want help, love?"

I sigh before saying, "Yeah, I think I do need help. Don't get me wrong, I love these babies, but I'm kind of annoyed at my belly."

Tig kisses my forehead before kneeling down in front of me and helping me slip my boots on. As Tig laces my boots, he says, "I know love, but I love your belly. I love that you're pregnant with my kids. I love you."

As Tig stands up he helps pull me off the bed and I say, "I love you too, Tig. I will always love you. I'm glad to do this thing called life with you and our family and friends. It makes a world of difference from constantly being worried about Major when I was in Mississippi."

Tig pulls me into a hug as he says, "I'm glad I can help you be less worried about that. I know even after we deal with him, you're going to always look over your shoulder, and I just want you to know I'm always going to be beside you holding your hand."

Before I could say anything I hear a knock at the door. We look over and see Ravi and Chibs there. I smile at my dad and my brother before turning to Tig and saying, "Can I meet you downstairs. I need to talk to dad and Chibs about something."

Placing a kiss against my lips he says, "Yes, love. We will be waiting downstairs for you."

As Tig leaves the room, Ravi and Chibs walks in and closes the door behind them. I move to hug Ravi first and then Chibs. Ravi smiles at me and looks between Chibs and I before saying, "So I take it that the two of you have figured it out."

Chibs nods and says, "Aye, are you and my mum together now?"

Ravi nods slowly as he says, "We are. We haven't told anyone yet, we wanted the two of you to know first, but we wanted to tell the two of you in person. Are you both okay with it?" He glances at me specifically and says, "Reba, I know it hasn't been long since your mum and I don't want to put you in a tough position."

I chew my lip for a moment as I say, "I just want you to be happy. You're right, it hasn't been that long since mum, but at the same time I wouldn't tell you that you can't date anyone. I just want you to be happy and I know mum would feel the same way too. As long as you're happy I don't care who you're in a relationship with, and as long as she treats you right. I know Kaylee is going to treat you right because she raised Chibs and Chibs is an awesome brother. Chibs even did the whole threatening Tig then when we told him Tig and I were dating."

Chibs chimed up saying, "Aye I did, and I stand by it, even now."

Ravi smiles at Chibs and says, "I'm glad you got to do it. Chibs, are you also okay with your mom and I dating?"

Chibs hugs Ravi and says, "Aye, I am okay with it. Mum has been single just about my entire life and I'm 29. The only man I've ever seen her with is Major, but he was in and out of my life until I was about 5 or 6. Keith with SAMBEL helped mum raise me because she couldn't really show me how to use the restroom. It's part of how I ended up moving to the states. I already knew how being a Son worked thanks to Keith, so I moved down there because they needed more members. Honestly I'm glad it all worked out though, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to meet ye or my sister."

I hug my brother tightly and say, "Me too. I'm glad everything has worked out like it should. And I'm glad our parents are going to be together."

Chibs lets out a small laugh and says, "Honestly, me too. They both deserve to have love and if they give it to one another, why not."

Ravi smiles at the two of us and says, "Well your mom is definitely going to be happy to hear that. She was more worried than I was about the whole situation, and maybe that speaks for my character, but I love her."

Chibs hugs Ravi and says, "I can definitely tell ye love my mum and I can tell mum loves you."

I go and hug Ravi as well saying, "Yeah, just means that Chibs and I can properly be a family even though we already were with our parents being together."

Ravi kisses my forehead and says, "Now that that's out of the way, are the two of you ready to go to Dublin to get some stuff? Tig and Happy are probably pacing because you're out of their sight and I want to let Kaylee know the two of you are okay with us being together."

I follow Ravi and Chibs downstairs and sure enough I notice Tig and Happy pacing and Kaylee nervously biting on her nail. Ravi moves to go and talk to Kaylee about our conversation from upstairs and I just shake my head at Happy and Tig.

Happy speaks up with, "What's so funny little bit?"

I glance between them both before saying, "The two of you are funny. I'm out of your sight for 10 minutes and you're pacing tracks into Kaylee's floor. I'm okay honestly."

Tig spoke up next with, "You can't blame us, love. Not after the water park. We're just worried about you."

I nod my head saying, "I know. I'm always worried about you guys too in your line of work, but I don't pace paths into floors. I know you'll both be okay because I trust you, and the two of you need to trust me."

Happy hugs me and says, "We do trust you. We just don't trust the world around you."

Tig chimes in with, "Happy's right. It is the world we don't trust, and you mean so much to all of us. We just stay worried about your wellbeing."

Shaking my head at the two of them I say, "I understand that, but I don't trust the world either and you two are always going off with Clay. Like I said though, I don't worry about worrying because it's not good for you. Tig you're going to go prematurely grey if you worry about me every time I'm out of your sight. So just know I'm going to be okay. Even pregnant I know how to fight and if it makes the two of you feel better, I'll take some proper self-defense classes for pregnant women."

Before I can say anything else on the matter Tig and Happy both vigorously nod their heads. Kaylee comes up beside me and says, "I'll get ye the class I took when I was pregnant with Filip. It helped me a bunch."

I smile at Kaylee and say, "Thanks, Kaylee. Now are you ready to go into town?" Kaylee nods her head and the six of us walk outside to load up into the vehicles. We were going to take two cars to have room for stuff for the twins and if we decided to purchase anything for ourselves. Ravi and Kaylee loaded up into the first car. I climbed into the backseat of the second vehicle. Happy was going to drive with Chibs riding shotgun and Tig was going to get into the back with me. After we were all loaded up we made our way into Dublin.
