Disclaimer: I had this come to me and I figured I'd just go for it. Essentially a take on a bad path Justin ends up on, the Gokaiger team, and Earth's Ranger history
Summary: From the literal kid of the Power Rangers who had some bad luck to an honest to the Power Space Pirate. This is Justin Stewart's life.
The day Justin turned 13 would turn out to be a day he'd long consider to be one of his worst days. As when he turned 13, the UAE had finally begun their all out assault on their corner of the universe in a bid to take it over and rule for all time while expanding into the rest of the universe. During the attack, his father had been killed right in front of him and he himself had nearly been killed by the invaders. And if it hadn't of been for Zordon's sacrifice, Justin would've been dead for certain on that day. Unfortunately, things just ended up getting worse for the youngest Ranger of them all as he'd end up getting lost in the shuffle when it came to the aftermath. The fact the Rangers had all been so pre-occupied with the post war stuff had made Justin feel incredibly angry and resentful. Feeling as if he'd been forgotten and since he felt like he had nothing left on Earth because of that, morphed and took off into outer space in Storm Blaster.
Traveling beyond the Solar System allowed the young man to see quite a few wonders and as well as the troubles quite a few faced in the aftermath of the failed UAE invasion. Justin would end up a member of a traveling freighter's crew by the name of the 'Akare' and for a time, all was good for the young man a long way from home. Unfortunately, that would come to an end 3 years later in a system of a galaxy far from the Milky Way thanks to being trapped in the crossfires of a battle between the system's defenders and a Privateer force led by Basco Ta Jolokia. The Akare would end up on a near by planet wrecked beyond repair with the only survivor. Not even Storm Blaster survived the experience much to Justin's absolute dismay and horror. His problems would only be furthered when the natives of the planet he had crashed on, would capture him and thanks to them looking like a mix of the Cog soldiers and Ants, would call them 'Cogants'. Not only would he be captured by them but also essentially enslaved by them. Even seeing his Morpher be destroyed as they considered it to be Black Magic after trying to fight his way out of their mining camp.
Justin would remain trapped there for a year until he and several other fellows who'd been enslaved by the Cogants launched a rebellion and fought their way to freedom. It wasn't anywhere near pleasant for the kid and the screams of that day would haunt him for the rest of his life. Justin and the others would make off with the sentient ship known as the 'Gareon' that the Cogants had forced into their service for some time. A ship that was capable of leaving the planet and leave they did and those who wanted to leave, left once they were on other planets. Leaving behind Justin and Gibuken, a half Humanoid/half flower like male from the planet of Tulis. Along with them was the mechanical parrot that helped run the sentient ship by the name of Nabyi. Whom was damned happy to no longer have to deal with the barbaric ways of the Cogants! Though that's not to say she necessarily trusted Justin and Gibuken at first but over time that'd become less of an issue. Gareon would become not only their home, but the home of three others as well.
Mirufi, a Humanoid Fox girl from the Ina system, Aimu Famiyu, a kind hearted (to those who she actually liked anyway) light blue skinned Princess from the icy world of Frostmor, Mirufi over time also came to see Aimu as something of a little sister. And last but not least, Doggoiya. A traveling shapeshifting Dragon with mechanic and cooking skills. The crew had ended up coming across him in a system with only a Moon that had been broken in half centuries prior during a great battle. Doggoiya had been running a repair shop there as he figured it was a good idea just in case someone got stranded and needed the help. Now, while the group were all fairly good and decent people, that didn't necessarily prevent them from performing acts of Piracy from time to time. Which put them in an interesting situation with the Zangyakku Empire best put as love and hate for one reason or another that could also be rather personal for some of the crew. Nabyi had also revealed a secret chest to the crew that was located deep within the Gareon a year after Doggoiya had come aboard. Its contents making Justin darkly amused as he'd long thought he was completely done with anything to do with The Power.
That he ended up being the Red Ranger of the team (something the others found fitting considering he was essentially the leader) was something he'd been surprised about. His team would be known as 'Space Pirate Rangers: Gokaija' and Justin for a time wondered how those back on Earth would feel about the whole thing before eventually putting a stop to that sort of thinking. It'd be roughly close to 30 years before Justin would return to the Milky Way Galaxy as word had gotten to him and his team that the Zangyakku had shown up there with every intention to over take Earth as the Zangyakku had come to firmly believe that of all places in the universe, it was the only one that would be able to end them for good thanks to the Power being such a focal point there. That, and Emperor Giru was looking for payback after the first invasion had failed 3 years prior. Giru had even believed the Gokaija were going to aid him and his forces but would end up in a rude surprise when the team chose to help the Rangers out instead.
Especially considering the beefs the Gokaija had with Giru and his bunch was another reason they finally went out right against them. Now Justin and his team didn't exactly have a warm welcome from some of the Rangers thanks to word of mouth about their activities but the team didn't really care too much. This would bring primarily Justin into conflict with the two teams he served with while also being somewhat antagonistic towards the Megaforce team and even the branch of SPD that was located on Earth. "Justin! You guys didn't have to destroy Basco! We've got better ways of handling things now!" Cried out Kat (Zeo Pink/First Turbo Pink) in dismay as she and several others had witnessed the brutal way Justin and his team had destroyed Basco and his crew.
"She's right, what you did was essentially murder and you need to be brought in, immediately." Declared Anubis Kruger.
The Gokaija de-morphed and turned around to face Kat, Kruger, and the others with sneers on their faces. "What I did, what we did was a long time in coming, Kat. Especially given the Hell Basco put me through years ago! Its just a small taste of what's to come when we finally stick it to Giru and you can try, Cop, but you'll have a hard time doing it." Justin told her and Kruger.
His team all nodded in agreement with Aimu taking Justin's hand and squeezing it to provide support to her husband. "It doesn't have to be this way, Justin! You know that as well as I do! We can all work together!" Tried TJ.
Greatly having trouble wrapping his head around the kid he knew with the man in front of him. Unfortunately, Justin just shook his head. "Maybe, but we're not interested. Besides, why should I be willing to help fight with you guys when you all practically cast me aside as I dealt with my grief in the aftermath of the UAE's failed invasion!?"
No answer was given as Kruger took a few steps forward with intent to arrest Justin and his team but was stopped by blaster fire from the Red Pirate. "Nabyi, teleport us." He ordered and with that, the team was gone.
Leaving a furious Kruger, some confused Rangers, and a heartbroken Kat and TJ.
