While we were jogging down the street after lunch, Judy suddenly grabbed my right bicep, drawing my attention to her. She turned her head to me and lower her phone. Light reflected from her device's screen, making me blink. I saw a picture of a red emerald in Nick's forepaw. I glanced at her face and saw that she was surprised. I smiled at her.

"Nick got the emerald!" I exclaimed. However, she had a different response as she turned her phone off and pocketed it, "Yes, but they got attacked."

I blinked in surprise when I heard her. While I did that, she quickly reached to grab the emerald hiding in the turban that was wrapped around my head. Once she found the emerald, she immediately pulled it out. I winced as the green glow light came in my sight.

"Hey! Think about this," I tried to reassure her as she looked at her hip, pocketing the chaos emerald in one of her belt pouches. Turning her gaze to me, she shook her head, "No time to think about this. They need our help, like right now!"

I blinked, recoiling at her comment, and by the time I reopened my eyes, she was gone. She literally left me in dust. I turned my head to my left and saw her as tiny as a medicine pill. I started to run after her, keeping up with her. After a few seconds, even in Speed Warp, I blinked as I found that I was unable to shorten the distance between us. I watched her run up the building, leaving blue and grey lines in her wake. She had taken my lessons to heart. I sighed and dashed up the same building only to see her hopping over several buildings up ahead. It's a good thing that I put the advanced lessons of the roof hopping on hold, otherwise I wouldn't be able to catch up with her. I bounced over the corners of the buildings to follow her. I flinched as an explosion occurred on the other side of the intersection up ahead. That must be the reason Judy insisted that we had to go and help Nick and Tailsko. Also, that should be where they were.

"Argh," I grunted as I worked hard to catch up with this energized bunny.

As we approached the intersection again, I could see the top part of the Egg Mobile rising from the building along with the smoke from the explosion. That meant really big trouble ahead for us. Now I recall that Judy and Tailsko had been captured by Robotnik when Nick dropped onto his knees exhausted and dehydrated. That was before he did his mind-swap mumbo jumbo thingy to locate the green emerald. That meant Robotnik would just do it again with the victims around the next emerald. Tsk, that old tackling strategy he had used never changed. I was two buildings behind Judy when she made a jump over the intersection again. I witnessed her soaring over like before, but this time she was ready for it, opposed to the time during our lessons. She must have gained enough speed as well as used the power from the emerald to make it happen.

"I wondered if she has a better plan for this than the previous attempts," I mumbled to myself.

Judy and I arrived on a one-story building above the ruined road. I blinked as Judy hopped off the building and ran down the wall. I glanced at my left to see an Egg Mobile that was shaped like a huge spider, but with four legs instead of eight. Robotnik was piloting the Mobile. I turned my attention to the road below me and I saw that there were many cruisers wrecked with the mammalians scattered about, trying to get away from the danger. Glancing to the far left of my sight, I saw an elder tortoise slowly jogging away from the walker and I jumped down to the street and dashed to him. I scooped him from the group and dashed away from the walker with him in my arms.

"Oh, thank you!" he exclaimed, turning his head to me. I could see a pair of square-framed eyeglasses, grey hair with a bald spot on his scalp, and grey mustache on his upper lip. He was dressed in 90's clothes under his shell. I nodded as I moved towards the approaching fly-cruiser, "Sure thing. Can't let you jinx a thing, Stan Lee."

The backdoors of the fly-cruiser opened, and the nurse otters came out. I waited for one of them to take the tortoise from me. When she did, I laid him in her arms. I turned away and glanced at the scene. There was more destruction now with Robotnik back in action. A few cruisers were wrecked and crushed under the walker's stomping steps. Since Judy and Tailsko were keeping him busy, that allowed me to do my job, making sure the mammalians were out of the danger. I turned my head to the cruiser, where a female deer tried her best to get the locked door of that cruiser open. Inside that cruiser was a deerling, which explained the deer's panic. I dashed to break the fearful deerling out of it then took her along with her mother to the fly-cruiser. Once they jogged there, I turned back to the ruined road and continued to do what I had done so far. It's gonna be a long evening.
