"Alright, let's get on with the story..."

The sound of book slammed onto the wood panel, following with the its spine being slow cracked, and finally with its covers thumped onto the wood panel.

"...without further ado."

~First Friday Morning~

Baro Bogo and Vivian Wilde watched the first cop rabbit scurry into the uninhabited forest. Once the grey lagomorph disappeared into the green forest, the older mammalians turned to the vehicle that was hidden from sight and they walked there.

"Well, that went as planned. Now onto the next step..." the cape buffalo said, reaching for the driver's door to open it; then he got in. Before he had a chance to shut the door, the red vixen jumped and zoomed over his lap then sat on the passenger seat. With a loud bang, he put his forearms on top of the steering wheel and sighed, "...and that step is to relax my boiling veins."

He turned his head to the elder female, who turned her head to him. He smiled, "I am in your care for next two days, as we agreed."

Mrs. Wilde nodded then the water buffalo started the engine and accelerated out of the uninhabited forest.

~First Friday - Late Morning~

The elder mammalians had traveled through the border wall that separated the forest district from the city district and they went down to Wild Town, where Vivian was housed. Once Baro got his vehicle parked, he shut the engine off then they ditched the vehicle. They walked their way to the building and prepared to settle for the weekend. However, Bogo grunted and dropped onto his knees, shaking the screen.

"Baro! You're not taking this on by yourself!" the red vixen reminded once she was next to him.

He turned his head to her and smiled warmly then he reached for her. They exchanged a heartwarming hug. From the point they arrived and in the silhouetted foreground, he spent most of his time sulking that had been interrupted by Vivian whenever she needed him to do heavy lifting. At lunch time, with the silhouetted foreground turned off, the elder vixen sat down and had the cape buffalo resting his head on her lap. She fed him with the elephant-sized baby bottle full of the lunch that he'd had to eat that day.

"Ah," the blue prey sighed once the emptied bottle popped from his mouth.

For the rest of that day in the silhouetted foreground, he started to regain his conscience and presence of company, thanks to his predator friend. He took a break and played a chess game with the red vixen. He lost a game to her due to his sloppiness. Later, he accidentally dropped the heavy contain onto his hind-hoof and he had to hop on his uninjured one. He danced around holding his swollen hoof while Mrs. Wilde chased after him, carrying the first aid in her forepaws. On his second break, he was left alone in the room where he played the chess game with his 'roommate', reflecting on his failure as well as checked the list that he received on his phone. Once he got the list covered, he took a picture of the pieces on the table then rearranged the pieces back to where they belonged. When night approached, they went to their own bedrooms.

~Second Saturday Morning~

The blue mammalian walked down the stairs to the first floor then entered the kitchen through the doorway. He startled the red vixen with his loco appearance while she was prepared breakfast. The first thing came to light was his boxers hanging upside-down on his horns. His shirt was inside-out with its tag sticking out at his collarbone. His pants were also inside-out but put on correctly. He blinked and sighed as he walked to the table and sat down. The smell of breakfast had woken him, and he needed to eat a meal even if his mind was taking a day off.

"Ah," Mrs. Wilde sighed, deciding to let him be and put her focus on her cooking.

After they ate breakfast the water buffalo changed his clothes into a buffalo-sized white and skyblue ballerina dress, much to his company's chagrin. Soon, she realized that his mind was sleeping for day. As the morning rolled by, they entered the silhouetted foreground and the effort that Baro had done with the stuff around went smoother and quicker compared to the previous day. By the lunchtime, the building was cleaned up and much livelier compared to when the elders first entered. For the rest of that day, his body went out of the way to do various kinds of dance to entertain Mrs. Wilde whenever possible.

~Second Saturday - Late Evening~

With the silhouetted foreground turned off, the cape buffalo's body wobbled above his hip as the red vixen gentle guided him to the guest, where he stayed. Little did he realize; his body had used up all its energy and he had to sleep. Once the bodybuilder got in the bed, he shut his eyes immediately and the elder female left the room with a smile. She was glad that he put himself in her paws for a couple days.

~Second Sunday Morning~

Baro had regained his conscious and found himself in the ballerina dress that reminded him of the certain song. He eyeballed Vivian, who shrugged and pointed a digit at him. That got him to realize that it was his own body's attempt to entertain her up. He got out of the bed and went to change into his fresh chief outfit. He went back to the game room then sat down on his chair. He checked his phone to see what was updated with the situation and found out that Delgato and Clawhauser had left the precinct. He sighed and turned the bishop piece on its side.

~Second Tuesday Morning~

The former chief returned to the game room with his cPhone in his hoof. He sat down on his seat and rearranged the pieces as he had left them previously. The blue prey was told that Higgins and Pennington had just left the precinct without any words. He grunted and snorted as he put his phone on the table, not in the mood to destroy it. He snapped the rook piece from the board and looked at it. He slammed it onto the table, almost scratching it. He grunted again, exhausting his frustration that almost break his mind down. He glared at the King piece then picked it up and twisted its base.

"Hmm," the water buffalo growled as he unrolled the tiny paper that was made for a mouse.

He put on his reading glasses to read the paper then he glanced at the door. He grabbed his cPhone as he got up and left the room.

~Second Wednesday Night~

The large blue mammalian moved to his jumpy friend and wrapped his arms around her while he glanced at the rest of the large mammalians, "Go shove the small mammalians into the available patient room. I will take care of Fangmeyer elsewhere."

His team obliged him to a big letter 'T'. He grunted again as he lifted the scary kitty off the floor and stomped to the private office. Much to his chagrin, France got a hold of the doorframe, halting her friend on a dime.

"Argh!" Baro grunted, shoving the frightened tigress into the office, leaving the claws marks on the doorframe as well as her almost tearing it off the wall.

Once he put her on the couch nearby, he turned to the doorframe and slammed the door shut, which was loud enough to jumpstart the rabbit from distance. He huffed then turned and rejoined his friend on the couch. He sat on the right seat cushion, closer to the door and his tiger friend, who was on the left seat in fetal position with her paws on her head and her eyes widened in fear. The cape buffalo grunted as he reached for her shoulders, lifted her from the seat cushion then put her head on his shoulder as he laid down.

"Fangmeyer... France, it's alright now. Please... get yourself together. I don't want to spend an insomniac night anymore," the prey mammalian assured his friend.

That got her to calm down and take a several deep breathes. Baro sighed as she loosened up under his embracing arms, then they melted into a comforting position.

"Wh... why is Wilde behaving like that?" the big feline asked once she grasped her consciousness to speak.

The water buffalo blinked then answered, "It was all part of the plan to retake Precinct One. Not only Wilde was injected with that dosage. Hopps is also into this. That was the reason she was able to drive the motorcycle made for a wolf and to run that fast."

Fangmeyer, now understood the whole reason Nick was a savage mammalian, nodded in acknowledgement. However, the male could see that fear remained within the tigress, so he chose to hold her in his arms for the rest of the night. With the unity between them sleeping on the couch in each other's arms, they closed their eyes and let the dark take them.

~Second Thursday Morning - Part 1~

Baro and his feline friend slowly stirred then woke from their slumber. France got up first then worked on straightening herself up while the giant prey worked on getting his uniform fixed. He figured that she had cried on his chest overnight, so he prepared to get a new shirt to replace his soaked one.

"France... are you feeling better now?" the water buffalo asked, unbuttoning his shirt.

The tigress responded, "Yessir. Thank you for your hospitality."

"Good. Please go and get anyone but the pair that watched over the dynamite duo to the meeting room. I will join you once I get my uniform fixed up," he said, opening the half-damaged door and leaving the room.

Bogo entered the meeting room with a new, clean uniform a few minutes later and sat on the chair with his trusted co-workers surrounding the table. He picked up that Higgins and Pennington were currently absent. He lifted his snout to look at his peers and prepared to describe the plan.

"So... as I got in my text six days ago... you two, Fangmeyer and McHorn, were the first to leave the service after I was forced to resign from office?" he asked, pointing two of his digits at his closest friends.

The rhino mammalian nodded in silence while the female feline propped her elbow on the table and replied, "Yes, Baro. We trust you more than that phony chief who stole your office seat. I am sure that it's a best idea for us to be with the one who knows better than to obey the tyrants."

The former chief nodded in understanding then turned his head to the male felines; Clawhauser and Delgato. They kept their tongues as they glanced at him.

"Then on the next day after my friends, you two were willing to leave the service, yes?" Baro asked.

"Uh..." the sweet-tongued feline responded first, nervously glanced to his sides. He resumed, "Delgato left the service first, then I followed him out after I started to understand what the problems within the precinct were...and the danger. I still preferred you over that... wolfy guy."

Diego nodded, pawing the box of donuts from nowhere to his thick-skinned counterpart, "Yes, Benji's right. I was first to walk out, then I sensed him following me before I made a fifth pawstep from Precinct One."

"Ah, after that and it was a day before yesterday, Higgins and Pennington left the precinct, right?" the cape buffalo brought all up to speed.

Everyone but Baro, Vivian, and Clawhauser nodded their heads. The sweet-toothed feline had the box of donuts opened and chewed on the first donut he pulled out. The blue prey put his left elbow on the table and pinched the bridge of his snout with the digits of his left paw, sighing softly. Once the pain episode passed, he opened his eyes and moved his hoof away from his face.

"Beside my closest friends here, I would like to hear your reason why you abandoned Precinct One when that place needed your faith and strength?" the water buffalo questioned.

"Because you are the best chief. You focus on making sure that anyone in Precinct One is in good condition," the African lion answered.

Clawhauser, in middle of his second donut, flinched then grinned and pointed at his thin-skinned counterpart with his head nodding in agreement. Baro sighed again then nodded in understanding.

"Alright. With the information in the text I got from Fangmeyer two days ago, Chief Black will be planning to patrol the street tomorrow using his packs. That will be the time we go to hit them fast and hard. Ah, first thing... Clawhauser!" the buffalo started the discussion of the plan for the next day.

The chubby feline flinched, dropping the one-fourth donut into the box, "Yes, Chief?"

"You're sitting this one out due to your physical condition," the boss of the team responded, choosing to ignore his radio dispatcher's habit of calling him 'Chief'. He put his weight on his elbow and pointed at the black-spotted yellow fur feline, "If that would make you even happier, be sure to have some tea with Claire whenever she needs some. Does that sound good?"

Diego and France turned their heads to Clawhauser, the red vixen sighed in relieve, and the donut-loving mammalian gave out a big smile with his fists moved to his chin, positioning like a cheerleader. The blue prey nodded as he understood the notion that Benjamin accepted the idea of sitting out of the current discussing plan.

"Alright. Now let's get to the plan; I know Fangmeyer and McHorn well enough that I put Fangmeyer on sniper duty and have McHorn to my side for security reasons. That leaves Delgato to take the alley to shoot the wolves down - Ah, I forgot to mention the important part; this is a stealth plan. As a last resort, we will have to beat them up until they're unconscious, if and only if we run out of bullets," the two-horned mammalian proceeded with the plan that he built up overnight.

The African lion blinked and leaned forward, "What about Higgins and Pennington? Are you going to leave them out of the fun?"

"I planned to have them as the next chiefs just in case this plan failed," Baro answered.

Diego nodded in understanding then pulled back and Rhinovich leaned on the table and held his right paw in the air. The rhino asked, "What about Wilde and Hopps? Are you leaving them out as well?"

"Wild Cards, they are. It doesn't matter if they decide to get involved or not, the plan proceeds regardless," the buffalo answered.

Delgato blinked as he turned his attention to the boss, "Well, I have to tell you about this... While I have known them, I am sure that Hopps would like to participate with our team while Officer Wilde goes and hunt down the tyrant in the office you originally held in Precinct One."

"How do you know about this?" the blue prey challenged.

The African lion tilted to his right, put his weight on his elbow, and pressed his digit on the side of his snout, "My nose knows. Officer Wilde spent most of the time on his own while we have seen how much hard work Hopps put in to solve the difficult case in our archives and attempted to break it down, catching Mayor Lionheart and Mayor Assistant Bellwether only with some help from Officer Wilde... before he became an officer."

"Hmm," the boss of group put his chin to his chest, having seen the notion through Diego. He closed his eyes and spoke, "I trust your judgment on the small mammalians. Hopps will be with us and Officer Wilde will go to take that alpha wolf down on his own. I have known that pup too long enough..."

The former chief opened his eyes and raised his muzzle from his chest to glance at the table as he continued, "...that he has his own wise cracking tricks to get around. I suppose that he had already memorized the building like back of his paw."

He turned his snout to the lion, "If they want to take the positions that you suggested, then fine! Be with it!"

Suddenly, the door burst open and slammed onto the wall, drawing the mammalians' attention to it. They saw Nick Wilde standing on his four paws.

~Second Thursday Morning - Part 2~

After Gideon joined the meeting, the door swung open and slammed onto the wall...once again. Everyone in the room flinched at the sudden sound of the door hitting the wall and looked at the door once again. This time, they saw Pennington heaving at the door.

"So, what bring you here, Pennington?" Baro asked, walking to the elephant.

She bestowed the clipboard to the cape buffalo. He took it to look at the list. He figured that it was the way to track down the timing of Judy's healing factor. He turned his attention back to her.

"It's great to know that the dosage is working in her favor... but I am sure you're not here just for this... right?" the blue prey said.

The hornless elephant nodded, "That's right. Hopps had just sensed someone and told us... uh, me and Higgins, the new plan. Right now, she's gone to that museum to set the bait. She wanted Nick to play a fighting game with her while we approach 'someone' to catch that mammalian off guard. I am sure you know the location that she is planning?"

"Ah..." the former chief nodded, grasping the rabbit's plan then moving from the door. Pennington followed him into the room. He lifted his attention to France and spoke, "Please take a page from Hopps and go there."

The tigress nodded as she got up and ran out of the room, leaving a cloud of dust in the room. The elephant turned her head to the buffalo as he continued reading the clipboard. Silence settled into the meeting room for a few minutes.

"Alright," Baro said, breaking the silence. He yelled, "Since Hopps is the fastest officer on the paws, we should get our tails moving to the museum right now! Let's go!"

Pennington was the first mammalian to leave since she was right next to the door, then the water buffalo followed after her, and the rest of the mammalians in the room moved out, filing one at a time.
