Riley quickly thanked the taxi man before getting out the back seat, Maya and Zay following behind. They rushed for the entry of the airport.

"Hey, you need to pay me" the taxi driver shouted getting out of the car.

"Go inside I'll meet you out there" Zay told the two girls, they nodded and left him to pay the man. Walking back digging in his wallet all he had was some gift cards, his ID and some change. Fuck, he thought.

"Here's a quarter" Zay threw it at the mans eye before quickly sprinting towards the doors.

"Ow fuck you little n*" The driver holding his eye with his hand, he chased after Zay.

"The fuck did you just call me?" He stopped running, he turned around and glared at the man.

"You heard what I said." still holding his eye, he caught up to Zay. Feeling the man begin to say it again Zay grabbed a luggage cart nearby, pushing it towards the taxi driver. The force of the cart hit the man hard, toppling over him.

"Call me that one more time, bitch. I gotta friend who's about to go to Texas and I don't have time to deal with your bullshit!" Zay left him on the floor with the card on top of him. He continued on inside.

"Do you see him, Riles." Maya asked worriedly.

She herself was looking around but since she was so short she couldn't really see much. The airport was busy. There were long lines waiting to check in, groups of people saying their goodbye's to friends and family members. She surely won't find him around here.

"I can't find him" Riley responded sadly.

"Luuuuccassssss" She began shouting. People were giving her odd looks.

"Riley, that's not gonna help you're just making unnecessary noise." Maya told her.

"Well do you have any other better ideas cause I don't." She questioned helplessly. Maya didn't have an answer and feared they were too late.

"Did you guys find him?" Zay rushed in.

Seeing their facial expressions his face faltered. He was now worried too. The last time Lucas and his father had an encounter was when his father had raped Lucas' little sister and she hunt herself. It didn't end well at all, Lucas nearly got killed himself! If his mother hadn't got there in time...

"Maya what are you doing" Riley shouted as she ran through the crowds of people, passing all the securities in the process.

She was too focused on trying to find Lucas that she didn't even realize she was no long on her feet but laying on the ground.

"Excuse me young lady, but you shouldn't be back here" A tall broad security guard stood there arms crossed and face expressionless. She must've ran into him and got knocked down. She mentally cursed herself for being so short and light.

"Well I'm sorry sir but my best friend is trying to board a plan to Texas and I need to stop him" Maya stood back up, trying to get passed the security guard.

"Get out of my way." She tried to shove passed him but the strength of his arm was twice her own body.

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that, ma'am" he told her, grabbing her by her waist.

"Let go of me you fucking idiot!" She tried to wiggle her body out of his masculine arms but he had a grip on her. She winced a little when his wrist would hit that bruise on her side.

"Maya!" Riley shouted when she finally reached. Zay in tow.

"Hey man we mean no trouble just let go of our friend so we can please continue on and stop our other friend from going to Texas." Zay said respectfully. Judging by how the taxi man was disrespectful and racist he didn't want to cause any trouble with the security.

"This is Officer Brown, I'm gonna need back up here. By the security systems, thank you" He turn off his walkie talkie.

"Ugh I don't have time for this!" Maya yelled impatiently. She kicked the poor man in his groin and ran off.

"Fuck!" The man held his balls with one while pressing the on button on his talkie.

"We got a runner coming towards you, at the next check out"

"Uh oh, Maya" Riley ran after her. Zay shook his head. They're so gonna get in trouble for this. Lord me help if I were to get hurt today, Zay groaned.

"Make that three runners" the guard said before chasing the trio.

"Maya why'd you stop-" Riley gasped dramatically.

Her hands covering her mouth in shock. Zay stopped as well. He knew this was gonna happen. He warned him, he did but he was just so stubborn to listen. There were about 10 officers all surrounding Lucas. He was hand cuffed and two police were guarding him. Others were checking his suitcase for anything else.

Maya looked at him angrier than ever. Lucas averted his gaze from her to Riley and Zay. Riley was shocked, despite knowing before hand from Zay that he was bringing a hand gun with him. But she wanted to believe that he was lying. Zay was just straight disappointed. He knew damn well that this was going to happen. Maya opened her mouth to yell at him but Officer brown and five other Security guards reached the three. Two of the security guards had grabbed the girls andouille their hands behind their back.

"Lucas!" Riley shouted. He looked over and nearly almost lost self control wanting to attack the old man but the two officers guarding him kept him guarded.

The two other security guards were rather unnecessarily aggressive with Zay and they had both tackled him to the ground, tasing him. Zay cried out in pain. He tried not to resist but the tasing caused him to grab the officers hand to keep stop him.

"Guys! Aren't you gonna tell your officers friends whatever to ease of Zay? He's not doing anything!" Riley said looking at the officer holding her, worried that they might hurt him.

"Alright men, that's enough he's secure." Riley assumed was the chief that had said that. The officers backed off of Zay and took their spot to guard the three in case any sudden movements were to happen. Zay relaxed and sighed relief as he laid on the cold tiled floor happy that the tasing had stopped. He'd dealt with a taser before, he's got plenty of stories to tell about it too.

"So these are your friends, boy?" The chief looked at Lucas with an arched eyebrow. He nodded his head in annoyance as a response.

"And you guys claimed to have come here to stop him." He then turned his attention to the three pinned by the officers. The three responded differently. Riley nodded her head frantically. Maya had rolled her eyes saying yes and Zay had said the same.

"Look if you would just hear us out sir, we weren't trying to-" Zay had tried to say quickly trying to find a comfortable way to be on the ground as his neck was starting to hurt.

"DON'T MOVE!" An officer shouted. Zay immediately froze where he was.

"Guys chill he's just uncomfortable. Got off of him." Maya said. The officers looked around hesistantly before letting him go. Most keeping their hands to their holster in case of anything sudden. Everyone moving in slow motion as Zay got on his feet, keeping his hands up to show he isn't reaching for anything and taken to sitting flat on his butt instead. Officer Brown kicked his feet into cross cross. Zay slowly put his hands back down looking warily as to hope nobody would make a sudden movement. Their was a breathe of relief from Riley, Lucas and Maya that they hadn't realized they were holding.

Looking around they realized that a lot of the commotion in the airport had slowed down as people stopped what they were doing to see what was going on.

"Maya." Riley looked toward her best friend. "I don't like this. We have to get out of here, people are watching." Maya nodded her head in understanding.

"Seems you got good friends boy, they came all the way to stop you from coming armed. You are pretty stupid aren't you." The Chief chuckled. But face managed to remain serious. Lucas didn't look at him as he was still annoyed.

"Now tell me why exactly you attempted to come here with-" Zay yawned interrupting the chief question. One of the officers watching him drew his gun.

"Is there a problem young man?" He questioned pointing the gun at him.

"No sir. Sorry I-I didn't mean-" Zay began

"Did I ask you to say anything back." He pressed.

"But you asked me a ques-"

"Why are you still talking."

"Travis, please. Stand down. The kid just yawned it's not a big deal." The Chief said.

"Hey! Tell your friend to stop being so rude." Maya then said.

"I'd watch that mouth little girl." Travis said.

"Excuse me?" She arched her eyebrow.

"Uhm, Maya this isn't the time to-" Riley butt in nerviously. Much to Riley's dismay Lucas had joined in too and now her two friends were bickering with this officer Travis. She looked over at Zay who looked back her shaking his head at the situation. They both then laughed hysterically quiet at the scene. It was beyond crazy to think that they were actually in this mess. Between Riley's nervous laugh and Zay's, it was clear they were thinking the same thing. We might not make it home tonight.

The chief had boredly tried and failed to get the two to stop because everytime he'd speak Maya would say something slick to him and then he'd say something back and then Lucas would speak up. Zay had put his hand up to wipe an imaginary tear away as him and Riley were still getting a kick out of this whole ordeal when suddenly.

"AYE WE SAID NOT TO MOVE!" An officer took out his gun and put it on Zay.

"STOP!" Riley pleaded. Which happened to get everyone's attention.

"DONT SHOOT!" Lucas shouted.

Everything happened so fast. Maya didn't know what to do. She looked at Zay worriedly. He looked scared as tears began to fall. It didn't take long for Maya to start tearing up to.

BANG

Red...

Was the last thing Maya saw. The color in her eyes dilated. Her pupils got so small. Her face went pale as she watch Zay clutch his side, his hand quickly turning red from the blood that seeped through.

Maya suddenly couldn't breathe

She couldn't think

She couldn't remain calm

Her heart was pounding.

Her vision went hazy

She stared at the blood coming from Zay. All the shouting in the distance went on but she couldn't hear.

Red.

Now black.

"I can't... I can't..." She fainted.
