Chapter 5: You can't get rid of the Boogeyman

Later, everyone was out by the swimming pool area, lightened by Chinese lantern shaped lights, and the moonlight. As the Fly swimming instructed some monsters in the pool, and other monsters were getting food, and sitting round tables, Mavis was sitting with Murray and Eunice, while Michael was standing near the edge of the castle drop, staring at the moon, while Dracula was secretly watching them from a bit further away, just a Quasimodo, came up to him…

"Bonjour monsieur Dracula, may I make you an Omelette?" Quasimodo asked in his French accent again.

"No No No No, I'm not hungry." Dracula replied, just as Esmeralda sniffed around again, before picking up Michael's human sent, before rushing down Quasimodo's face, and squeaking in alert.

"What?! Esmeralda, you smell it again?! HUMA-"Quasimodo almost completed saying…

"I am Hungry!" Dracula suddenly said, as he swiped Esmeralda off Quasimodo's face, and into Eunice's hair, who took no notice.

As Michael was staring at the moon, he was still conflicting within, about what was happening to him. He knew no one had ever liked him, ever since he murdered Judith, as well as the friends of his younger sister: Laurie Strode, but ever since he first saw Mavis, something within him, something totally different, began to awaken within him. Michael also began to feel slight worry again, about what if someone found out or knew about all he had done, especially Mavis, what would she think, if she knew who Michael really was, what he had done, and what he was capable of…

"Michael? Are you ok?" Mavis asked in concern, as Michael then noticed her behind him.

"Oh, yes I'm ok, Mavis." Michael replied, trying to hide his worry.

"What are you doing standing over here all on your own? Come on, Come and sit down with me and the others." Mavis said, before bringing Michael over to where she was sitting with Murray and Eunice, while Dracula was still spying on them…

In those seconds, as Mavis took Michael by his hand, Michael felt more feelings that he had not felt for years… He secretly felt like he could smile… luckily his mask was hiding it for the moment, but he was also still worrying about what Mavis, the one person who was a Vampire, & who he felt he couldn't & didn't want to kill, would think or react if she learned the truth about his past… Also hoping that the Transylvanian authorities would not track him down to where he currently was, & capture him, again…

Dracula then came over with a cracker, with scream cheese on it, as the cheese formed like a face, and screamed, before telling Michael to give it to Mavis, who accepted, before Dracula took Michael, telling his daughter they needed to do more planning…

"What are you doing Michael?" If they found out you are human, they'll go Bat-poop!" Dracula whispered sternly at Michael.

"Will you just relax Dracula? You realise that the only one who's drawing attention here is you through your amount of whispering, right?" Michael said, as Dracula noticed everyone was looking at him, before moving him & Michael away…

"Just wrap it up, you say you are going in the pool, you then get excited, but then you say your hurt you back and you have to leave…" Dracula ordered Michael in whispers, before Michael reluctantly obeyed…

"Here come good times, whoa! Ow my back…" Michael sarcastically acted, but unaware he was standing by the steps, before he slipped and fell down them and into the pool, causing Dracula to face palm…

Michael then swam up back to the surface and walked out of the pool, feeling strangely embarrassed, as Dracula came over, making it look like he was taking Michael somewhere to get dried up…

(Later in the land of the Undead Graveyard…)

"Oh, you messed up baby, you messed up big time…" Dracula said sternly, while carrying Michael in one hand.

"Just because I feel in a pool by accident?! I didn't even draw that much attention." Michael replied unamused, as Dracula put him down. "At least you didn't get any embarrassment from it."

"Doesn't matter, now's your time to leave!" Dracula demanded sternly still.

"Not my fault you have no understanding of freedom…" Michael replied unamused…

"I invented Freedom, and fun for that matter!" Dracula said sternly again.

"Boy, no wonder my personality is so blank, all those around me are either irritating or just plain dump and stupid… The wrong type of people get to be Immortal…" Michael said crossing his arms with not one more sign of amusement, causing Dracula to really feel insulted and angry…

"Look at me…" Dracula said, as his eyes glowed Red, while covering his mouth with his cape, as he stared into Michael's eyes… "You will have no memory of this encounter… You have no memory of this place, or the monsters you met… No go, and never return…"

"Like threatening me to leave the hotel is gonna make any difference…" Michael said as he snapped out of it…

"What? You were supposed to forget the hotel, I just used my powers to erase your memory, I looked straight into your eyes…" Dracula said in confusion, even Michael was confused…

"Huh… oh, it could be me eye mesh of my mask." Michael replied in realization.

"What?" Dracula asked in confusion.

"It's just some material that makes my eyes look Black from my mask…" Michael explained.

"Hey dad, hey Michael, what are you doing out here?" Mavis said, as she appeared in bat form, before transforming into her Vampire form.

"Oh, Sorry Mavy-Wavy, I was just showing Michael some inspirations for decorations for your party." Dracula said, pretending to act like everything was normal again.

"Yeah, I was just looking in certain areas to give me some ideas." Michael said also as he played along.

"Oh ok." Mavis replied, while still suspicious of them both slightly.

"Exactly, in fact, Michael, you'll need to inspect our hall, so you can think where to put your ideas." Dracula said with act again, while planning what to do with Michael.

"Sure ok." Michael complied, as he noticed the sun rising, and he knew what happens to vampires when exposed to sunlight. "We better get back quick, the Sun's coming up!"

The Three then quickly made their way back to the hotel, through a path that Mavis knew…
