Chapter 9: Idols

In the last chapter the last of the Tartarus troops are rounded up and captured. With his mission complete, Uneru returns to Japan to train the new requite Amou Kanade. We pick up 3 months after these events, with Kanade's training now complete, now after a few missions later an idea has formed in Kanade's head.

We are Uneru

"Keep up slow pokes!" I shout running down our running path. Ever since we formed a three maned team, work has seemed to slow down for us. When a Noise mission arises, we can handle it much faster, effective, and easier to handle stragglers. But as Genjuro says, 'We must always be ready for battle!' Thus in our spare time, Genjuro makes us practice. "What? You falling behind?!" I exclaimed to the two behind me. Genjuro has said that as individuals we each contribute something to the group, to the collective. Kanade is the muscle and handles the brunt of attacks, Tsubasa handles with speed and cleans up any Noise remaining. I fill a middle role, but we lacked the ability to act when something goes wrong. Thus I've started handling tactics brushing up formations and patterns, and assist in cleaning up Noise. So our work is pretty smooth. "Whop?!" My thought is cut short when I trip on a rock and fall on my face.

Kanade:(Pff!) Wh-Wow…(laughs) Nice running Uneru-kun.

Uneru:(annoyed) Choke on a dick, and die.

Kanade:(chuckling) Aw~. Don't I mean anything to you?

"Oh, Shut it!" I shout getting back up to my feet and following the two. As we run the three of us laugh. But despite my talk, it feels nice that I have this...A family again...It feels nice to have it again. We get back to start are of our run, we all sit down and rest. "Hey guys. Humor me for a sec." Hmm? What's this now? "Have you noticed recently that soldiers listen out for our music?" Kanade notes, we look at her. What?

Uneru:(puts down water bottle) What brought this up Kanade?

Kanade:(wipes sweat off) Well recently on missions the troops listen for our music and it's giving them hope.

Tsubasa:(nods) I've been hearing the same things too.

Uneru:(shrugs) I won't say that I haven't heard that before.

Kanade:(smiles) Soo~ Let's make an Idol group and make music for everyone to hear!

"An idol group?" Tsubasa and I ask in synch. Well...It's not out of the question. "You know. I've always wanted to be an Idol!" Kanade says crossing her arms and looking to the sky. Ah. Right, she has voiced wanting to do such for awhile. It always arises when we go to karaoke. "You were always up to the idea ever since I could remember." Tsubasa mutters, her face beginning to blush. Ah, that right. It's the same with Tsubasa. She did have a lot of music posters in her room, back and the Kazanari house. "Ok. I can definitely see you two becoming a group. You just need someone to handle music." I tell them. I like music as much as the next guy, but I dunno, I'm not feeling the fame. Kanade grabs my shoulder. What?

Kanade:(smiles) That would be you! It has to be you! You know how to play multiple instruments, edit songs, you can sing yourself, you-

Uneru:(puts up hands) I get it. I get it. We just need to get permission for this. Altho I don't think it will be much of a problem.

Location Change: Div 2 Command Center

We come to Genjuro with Kanade's idea. "Form an Idol group?" Genjuro says skeptical. "Yeah." This should be straightforward and simple. Genjuro ponders on the question.

Genjuro:(raises eyebrow) What reason would you need to make this?

Uneru:(points to Kanade) Apparently Kanade wants to spread her music to everyone, Tsubasa's on board. And someone has to handle them, so I'm helping out.

Genjuro:(smiles) Ok then. But you'll need a manager.

Genjuro gestures, as Shinji Ogawa walks in. "Ogawa-san! It's been awhile." I greet Ogawa-san. Ogawa-san is a shadow agent of Div 2. He has taught me and Tsubasa a few ninja tactics. Oh, yeah, he's a real life Ninja! Isn't that so cool!? "It's nice to see both you and Tsubasa again Uneru-kun. Nice to meet you for the first time Kanade-san." He handles many things in Div 2, he also is known as the 'Modern Ninja' for his ninjutsu. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Manager." Kanade jokes, Ogawa chuckles. Speaking of names.

Uneru:(turns to Girls) Now that we have that out of the way, we need a name.

Kanade: How about the Shining Symphogear's?!

Tsubasa and Uneru:(in synch) No.

Kanade puffs her cheeks before turning away. "You two are no fun." She mutters under her breath. What's good? Hmm…Well these two will handle the Idol part while I help out...two...Zwei...And in battle some of the soldiers say they we are like Angels...How about… "Zwei Wings?" I recommend. "Ok, that does sound cooler but what does it mean?" Kanade curiously asks.

Uneru: Zwei means two in German. So Two wings, in reference to the soldiers calling us Angels.

Kanade:(smiles) Yeah. Zwei Wings...Let's do it!

Tsubasa:(smiles) Yeah!

Uneru:(smiles) I'm sure the two of you will do great.

We are observer

After that the three became Zwei Wings. Both Tsubasa and Kanade, did the Idol part, while Uneru would work with the two, too produced music. The girls always made sure to give credit to him, for making the music so good. So fans began to dub Uneru as the "Lost Wing." Uneru took to the name well. After awhile he decided to start producing and showing himself on stage. He took the name "Stiften Wing." Fans took to his arrival well, many happy that he showed himself.

We are Uneru Location Change: Genjuro's Mansion

Walking through the front door, I close the door behind me letting out a sigh."I'm home." I say letting out a sigh and I head to the living room. "Hey guys I'm back." I say knocking on the door. "Welcome home Uneru. Come on in!" I grab the handle of the door. "W-Wait Kanade! No! Uneru!" I open the door to see Tsubasa in a Maid Uniform, with Kanade filming her, on her phone.

Uneru:(eye twitches) Ah ha ha ha...(tears up) Again with this pattern huh?

Tsubasa:(tearing up) Th-That's my line~!

I get smacked through a wall and into the garden, the sprinklers activate. God this is like an Anime… "Sigh~ Yup. Again with this pattern." I say lying there with my head to the sky. I hear my phone ring, crawling out of the way of the sprinklers I get out my phone and answer it. "Uneru-kun get Tsubasa and Kanade-chan together! We have a mission." ….. UUUGh! "Uneru-kun?" Ogawa-san asks. "I got it. We'll be right there." I slowly climb over the living room. "Come...Ow. We got a mission….Sigh~ Just when the day was going well." I say laying on the wood.

Location Change: Factory

"Eat this!" I shouted as I cut down the last Noise. "Nice job everyone. Come on back." I turn to head back but then I notice something in one of the windows of the warehouse. "Hmm?" I slowly walked over to it and I look inside to see people bringing in illegal weapons. "Hey! You coming?!" Kanade says over the coms. "Yeah. I'll be there in a sec." I need to make sure that when the police arrive they don't come to a blood bath. It's people like these that kill my parents! I have to stop them... Reverting my Symphogear into its standby mode I head into the building. Quietly getting up to the second floor I take a count of the weapons.

Uneru:(counts) 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60….Ok that's a full arsenal. Man these guys must be making a big gambet to set up here.

Man: And what do we have here?

Roll out of the way of a fist as I looked up to see an american with a scar on his face. "Ooh. You're whole act just screams bad guy. A recommendation. Work on that hairline. That scar will a hundred times better." I joke, the man smiles. "We've got a Brat in the building!" The man exclaims. Soon the rest of the people who were bringing in the weapons bust out onto the second floor. All of them with guns, trained on me.

Uneru:(sarcastic) Oh god! What ever shall I do?!

Goon:(points gun) You are messing with the wrong type of people kid.

Uneru:(rolls eyes) Understatement of the century.

Clenching my fists, all of the guys pull the trigger. A blast of wind flies out of every single gun, soon their guns fall to the floor, screws and parts all fall like rain to the ground. "Huh. So did you get those weapons at the dollar store?" I ask, one of the goons grits his teeth before he charge me with a knife in hand, I activate the Fragarach as a blade forms in my hand. "Knives are for chumps." Jumping back I form throwing knives in my hand. "Though using them for range isn't so bad." The Knife's hit the gun sellers legs, as the fall to the ground in pain. I rolled back, I create more daggers in my hand, I launch back up into the air, tossing the knives into the shadows of the goons.

"Shadow Waving!"

This was a move of Ogawa-san. It's awesome what it can do. Ninja's are awesome. "Wh-What the?! I-Can't Move." I rush over and smack the goons down. "Ha! That's all of them!" I say exclaiming victory. "Think again." I hear before I turn around to see one last goon, aiming a gun at me. I toss my blade, but he also gets a shot off.

Location Change: Div 2 HQ We are Observer

Back at base, everyone waits for Uneru's return. Kanade, and Genjuro sit patiently, while in contrast Tsubasa paces back and forth. "Uneru-kun is sure taking his time." Genjuro notes. "It has been about an hour since they have last heard from Uneru. What do you think he's doing?" Tsubasa ask pacing back and forth faster across the room. "You think he's flirting with another girl?" Kanade says with a devious grin forming on her face.

Tsubasa:(turns to Kanade) D-Do you think it's possible?!

Kanade:(grinning) Nothing is impossible!

Uneru:(walks in) I-I'm back!

Everyone turns to Uneru. From the top he seems fine, but when you look down towards his right leg you see...blood. "I-Is that a bullet hole?" It was at this moment Uneru knew… He fucked up. "I-I at least got the bullet out?" Uneru barely peeps out…

"YOU STUPID MORON!"
