It was a hot summers evening and the cold weather from a lingering spring had passed. Naruto had spent a lot of time at home reconnecting with his family and getting to know Minato. He had decided it would be best to move back in after all, considering how expensive it was going to be to live on his own. During a late shift it was quiet at the diner. Naruto was sitting at the counter watching the late night news. His thoughts drifted back to prom night and the state he had saw Sora in. He attempted to contact him a couple of days afterwards but it turns out his parents had declared him as a missing person. The case was on-going and the search for Sora wasn't going very well. It was like the man had just disappeared into thin air. As for Sasuke, well he had barely returned Naruto's phone calls after all of the police interviews. He couldn't work out if he was mad at him, or needed space. Things were going so well too, and Naruto couldn't help but feel depressed thinking he had once again, let him down.

Although despite Naruto's worries, Sasuke wasn't avoiding him because of the incident occurring, he just didn't know how to bring up the conversation about him perhaps needing to move away to college. He wasn't expecting Naruto to be out of prison during this time so thought he had it all figured out, but now that he was back and they were in a committed relationship it changed everything. If he thought about it logically, Sasuke would move to college and attempt a long distance relationship. But, he was afraid that they would eventually grow apart and Naruto would move on to someone else and get bored. He just got him back and he didn't want anything to change. But he knew he had to speak to him soon, as it had been a few days since he had a proper conversation with his boyfriend.

Naruto was getting ready to close up when he heard the door to the diner open.

"Sorry we're closing in five" Naruto said not taking his eyes off the counter he was cleaning.

"Naruto" Sasuke said in a serious voice.

"Oh, Sasuke!" he smiled. "We didn't have plans, did we?" Naruto asked as he turned the open sign to close behind him. The blonde wrapped his arms around Sasuke's waist from behind, happy to see his love.

"Is everything okay?"

"That's alright. You should have said, and I would've come and took care of you."

The gesture made Sasuke smile. How could he leave him behind knowing how much he still had to experience with him. He walked towards the blonde and put his forehead against his. Naruto had noticed the past couple of weeks that his boyfriend had become more vulnerable and in need of affection, more than he used to be. He wasn't sure if it was anything to worry about or if this was just how Sasuke acted in a relationship.

"Do you think he's settled back in alright?" Minato asked.

"I think so. He's very calm and no longer agitated by things. Though that might be the work of his medication. We have a long road ahead but, I can tell he's heading in the right direction"

"I'm guessing that was Sasuke in his bed just now?"

"It looks like it. I'm happy to see him in a stable relationship. Sasuke seems like a good influence on him. My son has so much love to give and I hope he gives it to him in the right way. I'm confident to say that he's nothing like his father".

Sasuke woke up around 6am, in the arms of Naruto. This was bliss, the perfect way to wake up from the best night sleep he had in a while. Looking around the room he didn't remember arriving at Naruto's house last night, the last thing he remembered was falling asleep in the car.
