I am borrowing Erika Aoyama and Mew Erika from Redwallfan2000. Ichigo Momomiya is NOW 17 (Volume 4 to 10) years old than 12-13 like in the anime/manga. This is not also a copy of either any "Dragon knight" or "Dragon Knights" stories.
Hello to all, this is Episode 51 of the new and FINAL Arc of Volume 4: KC Cup!

Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 4: Episode 51: The Battle for the KC Cup!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Ichigo had been working on her deck readying herself to enter the KC Cup through the preliminaries until Erika came over and requested her if she would want her to join the tournament to help her out. Ichigo giggled at the idea to have Erika-chan backing her up and also hoping to duel her too so she accepts.
The day arrived as both best friends arrive to Kaiba Land to enter the tournament. Yugi and Jonouchi were the first there wanting to cheer for the two on. Erika's first opponent was simple however Ichigo's was well… Scud. Let's just say Ichigo never expected there would be a human being uglier than anything else she has seen in her life so far. Anyway, she beat him taking barely much damage.
Will the two close friends manage to enter the tournament?
What will happen now?
And now the conclusion... a few hours later since the previous episode:
The preliminaries of the KC Cup were going smoothly for Ichigo and Erika, advancing more and more to their final rounds so they can officially join the tournament. Both Jonouchi and Honda were cheer loudly… mostly for Erika to Ichigo's annoyance.
"So far so good! Erika-chan is leading onward.'' Jonouchi proclaims with a small smirk with Honda nodding in agreement.
''So is Ichigo-kun…'' Bakura comments really impressed by her skills and to think she's learned the game not so long ago. Yugi cracks a small smirk agreeing though he adds noticing another advancing through the preliminaries. ''And Ryan-kun.''
Honda blinks recalling that name being a guy in this tournament, asking his friend. ''You know him?''
''It's well… long story.'' Yugi simply comments. He had a feeling he would auto-join the tournament through Pegasus but it is likely Kaiba refused. He says this to the others. ''I guess Kaiba-kun made him go through the preliminaries first.''
Jonouchi hums not caring much about this Ryan guy; he's never heard of him before so he has nothing to worry about.
''So how's the tournament going?'' A voice calls out with someone standing next to Jonouchi. He blinks knowing that voice and turns, startled to see it is Ryuzaki.
''Ryuzaki?! You're trying out?'' Jonouchi asks pretty shock he came to tryout joining the KC Cup. Ryuzaki scoffs not dumb to try out another tournament unless he's sure he will win.
''Pff no, I'll lose even if I got in.'' He explains his reasons not wanting to get humiliated by someone kicking his butt. ''Just going to enjoy the tournament from the sidelines, this time.''
Jonouchi can agree with him as he kinda questions. ''Wonder who Momomiya's next opponent is?''
He checks and immediately groans. Ryuzaki blinks checking the list and he too groans. They both mutter out. ''Crap…''
On a Duel Field, Ichigo sighs annoyed that she's dueling that bug cheaper Haga as her last opponent. Just her luck.
''…'' Alicia stares blinking and then speaks loudly at Jonouchi. ''This is who you nickname Welkin?!''
''YEP.'' Jonouchi just says already having made up his mind that Welkin is the good Haga… and that still sounds disgusting.
''Aw come on Nya! Why do I have to duel the bug guy Nya?'' Ichigo protests at Mokuba sweat dropping as she explains harder. ''No less the one that cheats because he's afraid of Yugi-kun Nya!''
''I AM NOT AFRAID OF THAT WORM!'' Haga shouts furious though he sweats heavily, scanning the area just in case he's not around to have heard that. Ichigo smirks seeing his fear and mocks him with a sinister grin. ''Oh really Nya? Then how come you always lose to my Yugi-kun then?''
''…'' Haga is silent by her words, trembling as he has no good answer for her, at the time being. Instead he declares activating his Duel Disk. ''I'm going to squash you now!''
Ichigo sighs activating hers and proclaims. ''You can try and fail Nya!''
The two draw their cards, declaring determined to beat the other. ''DUEL!''
Duel Screen: Ichigo Momomiya: 4000LP vs. Haga: 4000LP
The duel plays out normally with both duelists setting up their fields with Ichigo already managing to bring out her Love Dragon LV7 with 4800LP and Haga with a mere 3000LP.
However Haga just grins menacing as he combos uses his Eradicating Aerosol on Pinch Hopper, bringing out an evolved Insect Queen known as Metamorphosed Insect Queen. It was the original Insect Queen but more mutated, larger and boy much uglier than before. Ichigo and Jonouchi both could not help but want to throw up.
''That's an even uglier Insect Queen!'' The dirty colored blond-headed shouts out horrify by what he's even looking at. Ichigo then adds just as terrify. ''WHY NYA?!''
Yugi sweat drops actually agreeing why it had to look freakier looking than it has already have been. Haga instead just laughs at their expressions and declares evilly. ''KEKEKE! Prepare to meet your doom!''
Ichigo gulps standing her pose not going to give up. Haga smirks revealing a card in his hand and proclaims. ''But first I equip your dragon with my friend, Parasite Paranoid!''
Suddenly a blue parasite launches around Ichigo's dragon, biting its neck. Love Dragon LV7 roars in massive pain injected by the parasite as blue veins are across its body. The dragon gasps in pain, morphing and mutating into a bug-like dragon.
''Nya! My Love Dragon!'' Ichigo yells out in horror, unsettling and sadden for her poor dragon. Haga laughs menacing proclaiming. ''Now it's a good insect pet!''
Ichigo groans upset, muttering out. ''Gross.''
''I TAKE OFFENSE TO THAT!'' Haga snaps out furious at her comment. He then proceeds into his Battle Phase. ''Battle! My Metamorphosed Insect Queen, attack and devour!''
The mutated Insect Queen screeches out flying at the infected Love Dragon. Ichigo glares not going to let this beat her as she reveals one of her set 2 cards. ''I activate my set trap, Love Armor! With this, my dragon won't be destroyed by battle or card effect this turn Nya!''
Haga scoffs at this reacting fast playing a card from his hand. ''Then I chain activate the Quick-Play Spell, Cocoon of Ultra Evolution!''
His spell materializes on the field glowing and to Ichigo's surprise a bright golden cocoon covers and consumes her dragon. She panics with Haga, chuckling evilly, explains as the lenses of his glasses shine. "I can tribute an Insect Monster on the field while equipped to an Equip Card and then I can Special Summon any Insect Monster, ignoring its summoning conditions!''
''NYA?! But that means-'' Ichigo utters out realizing what he's planning but Haga beats her to it grinning. ''I release your infected dragon!''
The dragon within the cocoon transforms but dissolves the original dragon in place for a new insect. Haga calls forth his monster. ''Now appear in your perfect state, Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth!''
The cocoon hatches and emerging from it is the perfected Great Moth, Haga's other powerful insect monster.
Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth Lvl 8 ATK: 3500 DEF: 3000
''Aw…'' Ichigo mutters really hating bugs right now. Haga then adds revealing the equipped monster that was sent to his Graveyard. ''That's not all! Thanks to Parasite Paranoid's effect, I can Special Summon a Level 7 or higher Insect Monster from my hand, also ignoring its summoning conditions!''
Ichigo startles again. Haga then summons forth. ''Come forth, Great Moth!''
Appearing on his field is the original Great Moth flapping its toxicant wings.
Great Moth Lvl 8 ATK: 2600 DEF: 2500
Jonouchi panics at the number of insects Haga now controls, speaking up worrying. ''This is bad. Momomiya has no monsters left to turn the tide of the duel.''
Yugi watches calmly, almost like this won't end like this.
''It's over! Resume attack my queen!'' Haga declares grinning as his Insect Queen flies right at Ichigo raising its sharp bladed arms. It slashes at her but Ichigo quickly triggers her other set card. ''I flip over my other set card, Rainbow Life Nya!''
Her trap flips over releasing a rainbow-like aura surrounding Ichigo. The queen slashes her but attack didn't hurt Ichigo, giggling, as she explains sending a card from her hand to the Graveyard. ''By discarding a card, I gain Life Points instead of taking damage this turn Nya!''
Instead of taking the damage, her Life Points went up to 7600LP.
Haga growls furious cursing out. ''D-damn you…''
He didn't have many options left to do anything, forced to end his turn.
''I end my turn.'' Haga declares but not before he reveals with a small smirk. ''During my End Phase, my queen lays a lovely Insect Monster Token to my field.''
Insect Queen lets out a screech as it moves its massive bug butt to the ground and begins pushing. Ichigo watches horrify as was Jonouchi and everyone else. Even Yugi tries to look away a bit disgusted by it. The mutated queen lays birth to a bug-like egg on Haga's field in Defense Position… but not before Ichigo throws up.
Duel Screen: Turn 9_ Ichigo: 7600LP H: 3 / Haga: 3000LP H: 1
After trying to forget what she saw and drink water, Ichigo eyes her hand a bit worry by the odds she's up against but she won't give up. She can win this.
''My turn now! Draw Nya!'' She declares drawing her top card. She eyes it and smiles excitedly, immediately playing it. ''Perfect. I activate the spell, Raigeki! With this, I destroy all of your monsters Nya!''
A powerful lightning bolt strikes down from the sky at Haga's monsters, meaning to destroy them. However Metamorphosis Insect Queen screeches flapping its wings and releases a green-like green barrier, surrounding itself and the other insects. The lightning strike hits the barrier but is nullified by it, canceling it off. Ichigo startles by this.
''KEKEKE!'' Haga chuckles sinister as he explains with a confident smirk. ''Thanks to my Metamorphosis Insect Queen, my monsters can't be destroyed by card effects or be targeted by your cards! You've lost!''
Ichigo frowns really wanting to beat him with her most expensive card. She sighs the second time it's failed her but she's not beaten yet, far from it.
She eyes her hand and smiles proclaiming. ''Well not really Nya.''
Haga blinks confuse by what she means by that.
''I summon Kitten Magician Nya!'' Ichigo summons forth a red haired, yellow colored eyes cat girl mage wearing a white robe and magician's hat and wand, twirling before standing beside her master.
Kitten Magician Lvl 3 ATK: 700 DEF: 400
''Since my kitten is the only monster I control, I can Special Summon 1 of two other monsters from my Deck or Graveyard Nya!'' Ichigo explains smiling as she summons forth another monster. ''I now Special Summon Iriomoto Kitten Nya!''
A small black cat with pink eyes wearing a red ribbon around her collar neck appears beside her magician.
Iriomote Kitten Lvl 1 ATK: 300 DEF: 200
''Thanks to my kitten's effect, I can a certain card to my hand.'' Ichigo reveals as a card pops out from her Deck and she grabs onto it. She smirks playing it right away. ''I activate the Light of Hope, Mew Pendant Spell Card Nya!''
The card materializes on her field as a beautiful golden pendant with a pink heart crystal gem materializes out of it.
''Now by sending both monsters, I can Special Summon this card from my Deck, Hand or Graveyard!'' Ichigo explains smiling as her spell glows as the very pendant in the card appears around Kitten Magician's neck. Iriomote Kitty purrs before turning into energy and fusing itself inside Kitten Magician, engulfed in a pink outline aura.
''Become one with the kitty of hope and metamorphose into the guardian of light!'' Ichigo chants as her magician begins to transform with the light, revealing her future form. ''Shine brightly! Heroine of Hope, Mew Cat Girl Nya!''
Soon the once cat girl mage evolves into her true form: her hair grew over her shoulders as she gains a pink, mage-like dress with detached light red sleeves and wearing a pair of red boots. Her eyes, now bright yellow cat-like, stares at her opponent while posing like a cat.
Heroine of Hope, Mew Cat Girl- Lvl 8 ATK: 2500 DEF: 2400
Yugi smirks softly more than certain Ichigo still had a trick under her sleeve. Ichigo then announces with a small smile. ''Next Kitten Magician's effect increases the ATK of a monster I control by 1000 if it leaves the field and I choose my Mew Cat Girl Nya!''
Her cat girl purrs engulf with warm, powerful energy boosting her up to 3500ATK. Haga panics by this as she then adds playing another card from her hand. ''I equip her with the Equip Spell, Ribbon Hope Bell!''
Mew Cat Girl reaches out as light materializes around her palm and transforms into a heart-shaped bell weapon resembling Mew Ichigo's Strawberry Bell. Ichigo explains her cards' effects. ''Now my monster gain 700 ATK and thanks to my Mew Cat Girl's effect, she can attack all of your bugs each!''
Her monster purrs going up to 4200ATK having more than enough to beat down all of Haga's insects in one shot. Haga now panics heavily by this as he quickly declares using a card in his hand. ''N-NOT YET! I equip your monster with a second Parasite Paranoid! Now you're-''
Just as another blue parasite materializes right through the ground at Ichigo's monster, Mew Cat Girl raises her bell weapon and discharges a powerful pink light, repelling the parasite and destroying it. Haga drops his jaw as Ichigo explains with a smiling expression. ''Ribbon Hope Bell, once per turn, can negate the effect of a card that targets any card I control Nya as well as negate an attack too Nya!''
Jonouchi whistles pretty impressed.
''O-Oh…'' Haga simply utters out with widen eyes. He starts sweating not wanting to lose again, begging her kindly. ''Have mercy?''
After what he did to her dragon and watching a disgusting mutated insect-like queen lay an egg… Ichigo is not in the mood to show mercy.
''Nope Nya.'' Ichigo proclaims as she quickly commands. ''Battle! Mew Cat Girl, pummel him good!''
Haga watches in horror as Ichigo's monster leaps up to the sky, raising her bell weapon with Ichigo shouting out. ''Ribbon Love Magic Surprise!''
The cat girl releases a powerful wave of pink magic, blasting and tearing through all the insects. Perfectly Ultimate and regular Great Moth went down first, followed by the egg and lasted Metamorphosis Insect Queen letting out a death scream.
"NOOO!'' Haga screams sent flying off his feet and his Life Points dropping to 0.
Duel Screen: Winner… Ichigo Momomiya: 7600LP vs. Haga: 0LP
Ichigo sighs of relieve giggling, really calling it there.
''Nice one, Momomiya!'' Jonouchi congrats her with Ichigo giving him the peace sign with a joyfully smile. ''Yea Nya!''
Yugi blushes red never doubting her.
Erika arrives to her final opponent though she didn't expect it to well be a fisherman.
''I guess your opponent?'' She asks only causing Ryota to laugh manly, answering her with a smirk. ''Hahaha! Let this be an interesting match then.''
Erika just forms a smile accepting. ''Likewise.''
The two duelists prep their decks and Duel Disks before declaring loudly. ''Duel!''
Duel Screen: Erika Aomaya: 4000LP vs. Ryota: 4000LP
The duel runs normally till Erika brings out her ace, Lady of Visions – Janne, though having Pre-Preparation of Rites and makes a strong field with a powerful set card. However Ryota was ready for this with his new cards, bringing out the powerful and younger Legendary Fisherman II through A Legendary Ocean along with Citadel Whale, a more buff and seemingly powerful Fortress Whale, which set a powerful trap through its effect. Erika had all of her LP while Ryota had 2500LP left.
''Haha! You have a strong field miss but it's nothing to my sea monsters. Battle!'' Ryota declares determine with the odds in his favor. Erika blinks by this as he quickly plays a card from his hand. ''For I can activate the Quick-Play Spell, Rage of Kairyu-Shin!''
A spell materializes as water gathers in large volume around the holographic card. Erika watches as the water manifests into taking the form of Kairyu-Shin.
''Since A Legendary Ocean is treated as Umi, I can use my spell to target monsters you control up to the number of Water monsters I control and destroy them!'' Ryota explains his spell's effect as the water version of Kairyu-Shin launches forward at Erika's monster, letting out a powerful shout. Erika isn't going to allow that declaring. ''I use Janne's effect and with it I will predict your future.''
She taps on her top card and guesses its type with a confident smile. ''I choose Monster!''
Ryota gulps watching as she draws her top card and smiles revealing it to be Millennium Scorpion. Ryota staggers a bit as his spell is negated with Kairyu-Shin vanishing and she adds the card to her hand.
''No matter! Battle!'' Ryota still resumes his turn, more than confident he will beat her with power as he orders. ''Citadel, destroy her monster!''
His large massive whale points its weapons on its back at Erika's monster but she smirks proclaiming. ''Before you can, I'll let fate determine this battle.''
Ryota blinks by what she means until Erika reveals it triggering her set card. ''I activate my set Continuous Trap, Ordeal of a Traveler!''
He startles as Erika explains her dangerous trap with a wink. ''You now choose a random card in my hand and if you call it correctly on what it is, your attack goes through. But if you guess wrong, your monster returns back to your hand.''
Ryota gulps unease eyeing her three cards in her hand. He tells himself thinking calmly. ''One of them is that monster and the other two…''
He isn't sure what he'll get but if he guesses Monster, he might get it right. He points to the card in the middle of Erika's hand proclaiming. ''That one! That one is a Monster Card.''
Erika pulls the card in the middle and smiles revealing the card to not be a Monster. ''Spell Card really.''
Ryota staggers as the trap vanishes his whale, returning back to his hand.
''Good guess though. I would have gone for Monster too.'' Erika compliments with a smile. Ryota sighs bested but not defeated.
''I am not worry. I set a card and end my turn.'' He declares ending his turn.
Duel Screen: Turn 11_ Erika: 4000LP H: 3 / Ryota: 2500LP H: 1
''My turn!'' Erika declares drawing her top card. In that moment Ryota reacts fast triggers one of his two set cards. ''I activate my own Continuous Trap, Tornado Wall!''
Erika is aware what that card does with Umi in play and A Legendary Ocean is treated as Umi. She responds to this. ''I use Janne's-''
''I think not! I reveal my other set Continuous Trap, Sea Stealth Attack!'' Ryota is a step ahead triggering his other trap he got from Citadel Whale. He explains his trap's effect. ''By banishing a Water monster I control, face-up Spell and Trap Cards cannot be destroyed by your card effects.''
His Legendary Fisherman II vanishes from the field as his Spell and Traps were surrounded in water-like spheres. Ryota smirks explaining the other effect. ''And on my End Phase, my Legendary Fisherman II will return and with Sea Stealth Attack's other effect, I will destroy your annoying monster for good.''
Erika hums pretty impressive still she resumes her turn. ''You still have to let me finish using Janne's effect. I choose Trap.''
She draws her top card and cracks a smile revealing to not be a Trap. ''Monster Card.''
Ryota laughs not being mean but amused by the irony, speaking up proudly. ''It seems lady victory favors me now! The tide of this duel will go my way.''
''You would think.'' Erika suddenly says to Ryota's surprise. She smiles reminding him. ''Remember the Spell I revealed due to my trap?''
''What about it? You can't use it to destroy my cards.'' Ryota answers still confident he will survive this turn. Erika hums informing him. ''There's more than one way to get rid of a card.''
Ryota makes a face not following what she's saying. Erika smiles about to show him playing the card she revealed before. ''I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Cosmic Cyclone. By paying a 1000 of my Life Points, I banish a Spell or Trap you control!''
Ryota widens his eyes as Erika declares pointing her finger at the one card that is keeping his protection cards alive. ''I banish A Legendary Ocean!''
A cosmic-like cyclone shoots out from the card, sucking up the underwater city until it vanishes completely. Without it, Sea Stealth Attack's effect can't work and Tornado Wall shatters.
''Battle! Lady of Visons – Janne, attack directly!'' Erika orders as her ace Ritual gathers magic in her specter and fires it at the opponent directly. ''Vision Magic!''
Ryota watches accepting his faith as the blast consumes him and his Life Points drop to 0.
Duel Screen: Winner… Erika Aoyama: 4000LP vs. Ryota: 0LP
Erika sighs of relief pulling that off. Ryota laughs proud of the duel, congratulating her. ''Good game.''
Erika smiles responding back happily. ''Yep!''
Ichigo purrs watching that with Jonouchi and Honda both cheer loudly like fanboys. ''NICE ONE ERIKA-CHAN!''
Yugi smiles happily that those two did it.
Ichigo and Erika have done it but will another join them in the KC Cup.
Commercial Break:
Erika: We finally did it Ichigo-
Ichigo hugs her: WE DID IT ERIKA-CHAN! WE DID IT NYA!
Ichigo purrs joyfully hugging Erika that the both of them are allowed to enter the main tournament.
"Erika-chan made it to the tournament! YES!'' Jonouchi utters out also in joy. Honda sobs out of joy. Bakura sweat drops reminding the two. ''S-so did Ichigo-kun.''
Yugi nods smiling. Mokuba also smiles a bit relief that at least his brother will have two more capable duelists worthy being in the tournament.
''Just one more duel left.'' Mokuba states eyeing the last duelist, Ryan, who needed one more duel and if the opponent doesn't show up he will advanced into the main tournament. He resumes saying. ''And it's-''
''ME!'' A voice suddenly declares as everyone turns and immediately Jonouchi becomes trigger staring down at Bandit Keith and his smug smirk.
''AW, NOT THAT GUY AGAIN NYA!'' Ichigo yells out upset still hating that guy after all the trouble he caused them during the Reshef event. Jonouchi then adds in a furious voice. ''Bandit Keith! I should have smelled a rat like you here a while ago!''
''… So he doesn't bathe?'' Honda suddenly asks dumbfounded. Jonouchi makes a stun, firm expression while Honda face palms not meaning to ruin the moment.
Keith glares furious at all of them, especially Yugi after the beaten he took from him from their last duel and Jonouchi because he HATES him a lot.
''I'll get back to you once I trash this loser.'' He proclaims walking up here for the duel. Jonouchi growls refusing that this guy anywhere near the tournament. He orders the referee. ''Mokuba, do something!''
Mokuba hums for once agreeing with Jonouchi's one track mind especially since the Neo Ghoul incident has made Seto really pissed off.
''Well I guess I can call Nii-san and let him decided. Likely will end with him thrashing him in a duel but-'' The younger Kaiba sibling suggests going to make the call but Ryan suddenly speaks walking past him. ''If you don't mind mate, I would like to duel him.''
This surprises everyone except Yugi.
''Wait why?!'' Jonouchi demands
''I'm part British, part American.''
Jonouchi makes a face and realizes what this is about; to prove who the better and more respected American duelist is. He can respect that giving Ryan his blessing. ''Do what you got to dude!''
Both Ichigo and Erika sweat drop at this with Yugi blushing also sweat dropping. Ryan just smiles nodding.
Keith scoffs at this but just smirks declaring as he raises his Duel Disk arm. ''Perfect, you'll make a good warm up for the bigger fishes I'll be hunting.''
Ryan eyes him setting his briefcase on the floor and asks him. ''Can I ask you something?''
The former American Champion gazes at this weakling. Ryan stares back as he begins saying. ''You were once an incredible duelist but you let your ego and overconfident get the best out of you.''
Keith snaps and declares furious at the one who took him everything. ''Because of Pegasus! He took everything from me and left me with nothing! I will get back everything, regardless of my actions or what I must give up!''
Ryan listens to this and indeed he's aware of Keith's downhill descent after losing to Pegasus in the most humiliating of ways… but he just gave up instantly so easily than to rather climb right back up… not to mention placing blame on others than reflecting in one's self.
''Having your valuables or title taken isn't an excuse to have hatred and wanting revenge regardless of the cost or who you have to throw away.'' Ryan tells him upsetting by his hate towards someone who he should throw away, adding firmly. Erika watches oddly a bit speechless by his words, almost blushing a bit. This caused Keith to snap, shouting furious. ''SHUT UP PUNK! I'll make you eat those words!''
Ryan sighs opening his briefcase and pulls out his Deck with his Duel Disk. He slides the device on first and then his deck declaring determine. ''Then I'll remind you what a duelist should duel for.''
''Fine by me!'' Keith simply answers caring nothing but victory. Both duelists activate their Duel Disk and declare drawing their top 5 cards. ''Duel!''
Duel Screen: Ryan Quint: 4000LP vs. Bandit Keith: 4000LP
Everyone watches with Yugi staring closely, wanting to see what kind of deck Ryan has.
"I start first punk.'' Keith calls him out already having the hand he ''got''. Ryan blinks at his assumption protesting. ''Technically you challenge me mate, I should go first.''
Keith glares through his sunglasses, demanding loudly at his dumb reasoning. ''Why the hell should I do that?''
''.. Honored?'' Ryan simply puts it expecting a former duelist of his status would still have such a trait.
''…'' Keith did not reply and he refuses to do anything to do with honor but with his perfect hand, he could beat this loser on his second turn. He scoffs replying. ''You know what? Fine. You go first.''
''Well thanks!'' Ryan accepts with a smile.
Duel Screen: Turn 1_ Ryan: 4000LP H: 5 / Keith: 4000LP H: 5
Ryan eyes his hand and smiles declaring. ''My turn! I draw.''
He draws his top card. He grabs a card in his hand and plays it. ''First I activate the spell, Pot of Greed. I may draw 2 cards.''
He draws two more cards and then summons a monster from his hand. ''I summon Evocator Chevalier.''
A red, silver lining armored warrior wielding a sharp blade emerges through the flames, containing them around his free hand.
Evocator Chevalier Lvl 4 ATK: 1900 DEF: 900
''I set 2 cards facedown.'' Ryan declares as two facedown cards materialize behind his warrior. He then says with a small smile. ''I end my turn.''
Ichigo hums watching with Jonouchi commenting a bit impressed. ''So he uses Warriors like me then huh?''
Duel Screen: Turn 2_ Ryan: 4000LP H: 4 / Keith: 4000LP H: 5
''Pathetic! I'll just have to show real skills!'' Keith declares not finding this turn any impressive and now he will destroy him. ''My turn! Draw!''
He draws his top card and grins playing a card from his hand. ''Perfect. I start with the Field Spell, Heavy Metal Raiders!''
Jonouchi startles as he has never seen that Field Spell before. The area becomes all metallic and machine-like.
''Next I summon BM-4 Blast Spider!'' Bandit Keith declares as an almost miniature but darker Launcher Spider appears on his field.
BM-4 Blast Spider Lvl 4 ATK: 1400 DEF: 2200
''By targeting a Dark Machine monster I control and a face-up card on your field, Blast Spider can destroy them!'' Keith explains his new monster's effect, pointing at Ryan's warrior with a gun finger pose. ''I target Blast Spider and your monster, destroying them!''
Blast Spider opens up its hidden missile packs and fires at them at the process of destroying itself. The missiles strike and hit Evocator, destroying him. Ryan is startled as Keith starts laughing and declares revealing a monster from his hand. ''At the moment of the destruction of a face-up Dark Machine monster I control, I can Special Summon this card from my hand.''
This surprises the group as Keith chants and summons forth. ''Emerge and destroy everything I despise! Desperado Barrel Dragon!''
Emerging behind Keith is a deathly, upgraded Barrel Dragon with a more bulky yet lethal with its longer yet dangerous barrel-like large pistol cannon guns for its arms and head, just keeping the sharp fanged dragon mouth.
Desperado Barrel Dragon Lvl 8 ATK: 2800 DEF: 2200
''G-geez…'' Honda mutters out sweat dropping at this monster. Keith smirks preparing to enter his Battle Phase but Ryan beats him to it, triggering his set card. ''Before your Main Phase ends, I activate my set card, Gemini Ablation!''
His set card flips over as a burst of flames shoots upward. Ryan then explains sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard. ''By discarding a card from my hand, I can use one of two effects and I choose the one that I can Special Summon a Gemini Monster from my Deck and it becomes an Effect Monster gaining its effects.''
A card pops out from his Deck as he grabs it and summons it chanting. ''Let your soaring flames erupt! Blade of flaming justice, Phoenix Gearfried!''
Erupting out of flames is a tall armored warrior resembling Jonouchi's Gearfried monsters but with white armor along with red under armor and golden lining across the white armor. He wields a large sword with an equally large white, golden lining shield. He wears a large red cape on his back with flames shooting outward from his shoulder backs.
Phoenix Gearfried Lvl 8 ATK: 2800 DEF: 2200
Jonouchi is speechless this guy has a Gearfried monster he doesn't have. Keith scoffs angrily at this proclaiming. ''That changes nothing! I enter my Battle Phase and now I activate Desperado Barrel Dragon's effect!''
Ryan raises an eyebrow as Desperado roars aiming its three barrels at Gearfried.
''By tossing 3 coins, I can destroy face-up monsters on the field up to the number of Heads I get.'' Keith explains with an evil smirk pulling out a strange coin. Ryan stares calmly and responds triggering his other set card. ''I chain and activate my other set card, Armory Call!''
His trap flips over as he explains its effect. ''With it, I can add an Equip Spell from my Deck to my hand and then equip it to the appropriate monster.''
A card pops out as Ryan grabs it and plays it. ''I add and equip Phoenix Gearfried with Supervise!''
A red aura surrounds Phoenix Gearfried.
''That changes nothing!'' Keith shouts tossing his coin three times and sadly each time lands on Heads to Jonouchi's shock, yelling out. ''3 HEAD COIN TOSS!''
Desperado roars firing three energy bullet blasts. Ryan's monster is blasted through, destroyed instantly.
''And then if a Dark Machine monster destroys a card, Heavy Metal Raiders lets me Special Summon a Dark Machine monster from my hand!'' Keith then reveals revealing a card in his hand and summons it. ''Now blow them away, Barrel Dragon!''
Appearing is the original Barrel Dragon letting out a powerful robotic roar.
Barrel Dragon Lvl 7 ATK: 2600 DEF: 2200
''Plus Desperado's effect if I get 3 Head Coin Tosses, I draw 1 card.'' Keith then says drawing the top card of his deck. He smirks resuming his Battle Phase. ''Now Barrel-''
In that moment a burst of flames surrounds Ryan's field to Keith's surprise. Ryan explains with a smile. ''Supervise's effect if it leaves the field face-up, I can target and Special Summon 1 Normal Monster from my Graveyard.''
The flames wrap around on one spot with Ryan calling forth. ''Revive, Phoenix Gearfried!''
The flames explode and emerging out is Phoenix Gearfried posing badass.
Phoenix Gearfried Lvl 8 ATK: 2800 DEF: 2200
Jonouchi groans a bit jealous by this. Keith grits his teeth unable to attack with Desperado due to its effect and he won't risk taking damage, not one.
''D-damn you…'' Keith mutters through his mouth, forced to enter his Main Phase 2 as he announces. ''I use Barrel Dragon's effect, targeting a monster and tossing 3 coins and if they land at least 2 Heads, I destroy it!''
He tosses his coin 3 times and all 3 times were Heads. Barrel Dragon roars firing its barrel guns at Phoenix Gearfried, destroying it once more.
''3 again?'' Bakura mutters puzzle by his luck. Yugi gazes calmly able to see this is very wrong.
Keith smirks declaring as he sets a card behind his monsters. ''I set 1 card facedown. My turn is done.''

At this point, Erika can't help but not accept the multiple head tosses. Something is off with the coin tosses almost too lucky.
''Something is off.'' Erika says unease with her arms crossed. Yugi agrees adding. ''I noticed it.''
Ichigo blinks by this and then gasps realizing it's that coin.
''Yea, Keith is never this lucky! How is pulling it off better than me?!'' Jonouchi states completely oblivious to what's going on.
''…'' Ichigo and Erika sweat drop silently that he's not getting it, so says the guy who uses gambling in his dueling too. Yugi smiles sweat dropping wanting Jonouchi to solve it.
''…'' Jonouchi thinks quietly trying to calm about this and then it hit him; Keith cheats. He now sweat drops finally coming to terms. ''… Damn it, he's cheating right?''
Yugi sighs of relief, nodding exhausted by the wait. Ichigo growls very certain that he cheated out his top hand too.
''That guy never learns Nya! Mokuba-kun, do something!'' She yells upset asking Mokuba to do something. He hums agreeing that those coin tosses were off and he did use a strange coin to do so.
''Well I should check the coin-'' Mokuba begins to agree about to check the coin for himself but Ryan calls him out politely. ''Wait. After my turn please.''
This surprises the group except Yugi as he could tell from Ryan's eyes that he can win. Ryan smiles confident saying more than sure. ''Trust me.''
Mokuba debates about it but Yugi agrees with a small smile, trusting his judgement. Mokuba sighs wanting to know himself the type of deck he plays anyway and so far it's not that impressive or concern for his brother to deal with. He allows the duel to continue.
Ryan, smiling, resumes his turn. ''My turn again.''
''Draw whatever you want, I've already won!'' Keith declares way too cocky of his full proof field. Ryan, not saying a word, draws his top card and forms a smile.
''No. You've already lost.'' The young man declares before taking it serious. ''I'll show you how a duelist uses their cards.''
Keith scoffs not afraid what he has, nothing can beat Desperado. Ryan prepares to show him by announcing, banishing a card from his Graveyard and revealing it. ''I banish the Equip Spell Supervise from my Graveyard.''
''What?'' Keith utters out confused as were everyone. In that moment flames surround Ryan's field again, this time a bit more brighter, as he chants. "Oh warrior who flows with the power of fire! And whose body carries the flames of the phoenix! Now, blazing inferno, ascend to godhood!
The flames swirl around like a vortex, spinning rapidly and hotter. Ryan then calls forth proudly. ''Now emerge! Knight of flames that burn through the darkness, Immortal Phoenix Gearfried!"
Emerging out of the blazing flames is a Phoenix Gearfried but evolved. He looks thinner, his armor upgraded but looking very much the same, his cape no longer present but replace with his flames burning behind him resembling a phoenix. His new sword matches his armor and much longer while his shield becomes a bit smaller now attached to his arm. Flames burn on top of his helmet head as a crystal is seen on his chest glowing brightly.
Immortal Phoenix Gearfried Lvl 9 ATK: 3000 DEF: 2200
Ichigo purrs astonished while Jonouchi is not at all pleased. He utters out furious. ''You got to be kidding me! When and where did he get a better looking Gearfried monster?!''
''It is cooler than Red-Eyes Gearfried and the smaller version too Nya.'' Ichigo states with a small giggle how much cooler this monster looks. Jonouchi gazes at her coldly and furious trying to contain his anger. Ichigo blinks noticing it, asking puzzle. ''What Nya?''
Erika didn't say a word, watching closely as did Yugi.
''I equip Immortal Phoenix Gearfried with the Equip Spells, Assault Armor and Raptinus' Supreme Magicblade! Now Gearfried gains 300 ATK!'' Ryan proceeds his turn equipping his new monster with two Equip Spells.
Gearfried is engulfed in a golden fiery aura as its ATK shot up to 3300 ATK.
''Battle-'' Ryan then begins to shout going into his Battle Phase but in that moment Keith, smirking, interrupts triggering his set card. ''I got you! First I flip over my facedown Continuous Trap, Proton Blast!''
His trap flips over as he explains it. ''Once I use a card that has me toss a coin activates, after it resolves, it allows me to uses its effects depending on the number of Heads I get.''
''But he can't use it yet then. What gives!'' Jonouchi protests annoyed he would activate a card he can't do anything with. Keith laughs at his idiot nature and reveals. ''Fool, I can! Since we're at the Battle Phase, I activate Desperado's effect!''
This shocks Jonouchi uttering out. ''What?! He can use it during this Battle Phase too?''
Keith smirks laughing as he tells Ryan of his defeat. ''I won loser!''
''Not really.'' Ryan, however, responds pretty calmly. Keith raises an eyebrow by this as Ryan explains with a small smile. ''By sending an Equip Card on my field, my ace Gearfried negates your monster effect and destroys it!''
Now Keith is the one being shock uttering out in horror. ''W-what?!''
Yugi is also surprised as Ryan announces sending the other Equip Spell on his monster. ''I send Raptinus' Supreme Magicblade, negating and destroying Desperado Barrel Dragon now. Burn the injustice, Enraging Fury!''
Immortal Phoenix Gearfried's eyes glow as he flies up and unleashes a destructive pulse-like wave of flames at Desperado, burning the machine dragon shattering into pieces.
Keith glares gritting his teeth planning to get 2 or 3 Heads to use his Proton Blast's most powerful effects to secure his win. No, he can still win, proclaiming proudly. ''That changes nothing! Thanks to Heavy Metal Raiders, a Dark Machine monster cannot be destroyed by battle each turn and then it gains ATK equal to the Battle Damage I would take from that battle.''
Jonouchi grunts meaning even if that Immortal Phoenix Gearfried attacks Barrel Dragon; it won't be destroy, it becomes strong and next turn he will use the original Barrel Dragon to pop Gearfried.
''I still win either way!'' Keith declares with a smug smirk. Ryan eyes him and just smiles declaring. ''Immortal Phoenix Gearfried, charge in and attack Barrel Dragon!''
Gearfried shouts charging forward with his sword. This horrifies Jonouchi with Honda yelling out. ''What's he thinking?!''
Keith just smirks that he really is a fool… until Ryan proclaims. ''I activate Immortal Phoenix Gearfried's effect during the Start of the Damage Step. When it attacks, I can equip 1 other face-up monster on the field to Immortal Phoenix, becoming an Equip Spell that increases his ATK by 500 plus. Flame Soul!''
''T-THE HELL?!'' Keith instantly yells out in horror with everyone shock, especially Yugi. They watch as Gearfried extends his shield arm and jabs it at Barrel Dragon. Flames surround the shield and then wrap themselves around Barrel Dragon like vines, transforming the monster into energy and absorbing it within Gearfried. Its ATK goes up to 3800.
''Immortal Phoenix bypasses even the best of monsters, non-targeting and effects while powering itself up. This allows it to avoid beating stronger monsters and helps in reusing its Monster negate effect too.'' Yugi informs the group astonished by such a monster. Worst part is that this Gearfried is much easier to bring out than most would know and being a Warrior, it helps it more with Warrior support cards.
Keith stares helpless as Ryan announces calmly. ''By sending Assault Armor, Immortal Phoenix can attack a second time.''
Gearfried lets out a loud shout, engulfing in flames resembling a phoenix as it can attack twice.
''I-I can survive this and then-'' Keith protests confident he will survive this attack. Ryan sighs about to show him how wrong he is revealing a card in his hand. ''I target Immortal Phoenix Gearfried to activate the effect of Flame Noble Knight Roland from my hand, equipping itself as an Equip Spell to my ace.''
Emerging behind Gearfried is a male with red messy-like hair and yellow highlights on his hair ends and hair bangs. He wears a white, red/yellow lining and black chest trench suit while wearing a massive red, yellow lining ripped coat with white puffy fur on his collar back. He wields a fiery flame sword.
''Thanks to Roland, Gearfried's ATK goes up by 500 more.'' Ryan explains with a smirk as Roland becomes energy and shots inside of Gearfried. His sword is engulfed in the same fiery flames as Roland's sword with Gearfried's attack shooting up.
Keith widens his eyes by the number uttering out. ''4-4000ATK?''
''Immortal Phoenix, last blow!'' Ryan commands as Gearfried leaps up to the sky and shouts diving at the enemy with his fiery sword. ''God Phoenix Blade!''
Gearfried moves like a flash of light, stabbing through Keith before he knew anything and then he's exploded in a burst of flames.
''AAWWWW!'' Bandit Keith yells in pain as his full 4000LP instantly drops to 0.
Duel Screen: Winner… Ryan Quint: 4000LP vs. Bandit Keith: 0LP
Everyone stares amazed as God Phoenix Gearfried vanishes and Ryan smiles, having won.
''A-amazing…'' Ichigo utters out just overwhelmed by such a turn. Erika was silent but speechless, also taken back by such a monster.
Keith pants barely standing his ground, not believing he lost so humiliating.
''T-this can't be!'' He yells out furious, gazing at Ryan and just snaps charging at him with an extended wide punch.
''D-DAMN-'' Bandit Keith begins to shout only to gasps out with his eyes widen, looking down to see Ryan having punch him across his gut so much quicker than he did. He drops on his knees instantly, groaning in pain.
''Sorry, you left yourself wide open with that attack. I hope you learned that revenge can only get you far and you need to-'' Just as Ryan is about to encourage Keith to go back in being a respected duelist, his wireless Bluetooth headset for his phone starts ringing. Ryan grunts knowing this is work related as he taps on the headset, listening to a female voice already speaking on the other line.
''Yes. Yes I know Shelly! I know but-'' Ryan tries speaking to the one on the other line but her voice quickly interrupts him with her louder voice. He groans nodding replying back. ''Okay Shelly, I'm going to look it up then. Yea, you take your break too.''
He then hears giggles as he sighs blushing. ''You're welcome.''
Ryan hangs up and eyes the group, telling them with a small smile. ''Well I'll see you all in the tournament. I have a job to do.''
He bows and heads off in a hurry. Ichigo waves happily to him and then notices the look of unease in Erika's eyes. She eyes her blushing pretty sure she's worry that maybe that was his girlfriend or something so she encourages her kindly. ''Pretty sure that was his secretary Nya.''
Erika blushes really red as she responds overreacting yet nervously. ''W-Why would you assume that's what I wanted to know?!''
Ichigo blushes grinning with Erika covering her mouth, walking away. She has NEVER acted like that before. She shakes her head not wanting to act like that again.
Yugi sweat drops as Atem floats beside him in spiritual form, having seen the whole duel on his end and can tell that Ryan won't be an easy foe.
''Ryan Quint, he'll be a powerful opponent partner.'' Atem states telepathically that he will be a dangerous duelist to fight without a plan especially against his Gearfried. Yugi nods agreeing but he's actually exciting to face such an opponent too with no worries of having him being evil or evil plot reasons.
''Yea but I'm looking forward when I can duel him though.'' The tricolor head states telepathically, determine to duel him.
Ichigo advances along with Erika and amazingly Ryan but how will the main 16 duelists be like and who will come out on top?

And what do you guys think of Ryan's deck using the Gearfried Gemini cards, no less the not Gemini God- I MEAN Immortal Phoenix Gearfried? SIGH… I hate Immortal over God. Why not DIVINE PHOENIX GEARFRIED or Erupting Phoenix Gearfried. NOPE… IMMORTAL. Meh…
But also be aware this is not his true deck. OH NO… his true deck is actually one that connects to the new cards from that structure deck and you will all see why. For now, take guesses what it is.
