GX, Sonic X plus other Sonic the Hedgehog video game/Anime/Archie and characters, Danny Phantom, Fullmetal Alchemist, Valkyria Chronicles AND now Sailor Moon. I am borrowing Erika Aoyama and Mew Erika from Redwallfan2000. Ichigo Momomiya is NOW 17 (Volume 4 to 10) years old than 12-13 like in the anime/manga. This is not also a copy of either any "Dragon knight" or "Dragon Knights" stories.
Hello to all, this is Episode 53 of the final Arc of Volume 4: KC Cup!
P.S. I do not own them all or any of them except this crossover story, so I wrote the band's or artist's name that wrote that song which I do not own again.
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 4: Episode 53: The KC Cup Begins!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Ichigo was prepping her deck with Judai annoying her wanting to be a spar partner for her big duels in the tournament. Ed, Usagi and Alicia were there bored and wanting to see some action. Luckily Erika arrived and requested to Ichigo to duel her so they can warm up for the tournament. Ichigo happily accepts wanting to have a fun duel with her best friend.
The duel commenced with Erika getting the first blood on Ichigo only for Ichigo to counter back hard with her Love Dragon LV8, almost beating Erika if not for a quick evading card. Erika would fight back summoning Lady of Visions – Janne and beating Ichigo's dragon with a strong combo. However Ichigo still wasn't beaten as she summoned Sorceress of the Love Dragons to almost once more beat Erika if she didn't have another card to prevent herself from losing.
The two friends smiled enjoying their duel and would have continued if not for Akumu to call her as he wanted to see her. Erika happily accepted and the duel became unresolved.
Will this small warm between both friends be enough for the KC Cup?
What will happen now?
And now the conclusion... the next day since the previous episode:
The day has arrived as Yugi prepares to leave his home but Jenny waited for him. She actually wants to go with him, just having this bad feeling about this situation.
''You sure you don't want me to come along?'' Jenny asks him but Yugi just shakes his head smiling. ''Nay, I should be fine.''
''... If you say so.'' Jenny says still unease but will trust his judgement. She then smiles, asking him. ''Looking forward to the next few days? It's going to be your-''
Yugi slowly forms a small frown and interrupts politely. ''I know, and it's okay. Don't make a big fuss about it.''
Jenny didn't reply as Yugi waves goodbye and heads off. She sighs muttering. ''I'll make that day as special as I can.''
Ichigo rushes in a hurry to the Kaiba Stadium. With her deck finally set and ready, especially since she finished her homework, she can join the KC Cup. She runs in a hurry as Erika would be waiting for her early.
"Ichigo!'' A voice calls out as Ichigo looks up to see Erika, waving at her standing near the stadium. The cat girl sighs of relief arriving, declaring. ''Just made it Nya!''
Erika smiles glad she made it. She thinks back about the other day when their duel ended shortly… and the small doubt that Akumu could still be Dark Leader Dragon or is.
''Say Ichigo, your Uncle Akumu, what did he want with you yesterday?'' Erika asks her curious why her uncle needed her badly. Ichigo blushes explaining herself a bit embarrassed. ''Just stuff Nya. I thought it was something serious but not the case.''
Erika hums nodding as she then asks her. ''Is your uncle okay after who knows how long he's been possessed by the Dark Lord?''
Ichigo blushes nodding back insuring her. ''He seems like it Nya! I mean Uncle Akumu is really nice Nya!''
Erika blushes that she may have crossed the line there, telling her. ''Sorry I asked you that, I just worry if he might be well-''
Ichigo nods getting what she means and answers very much positive. ''I know Erika-chan but I know my Uncle is himself, not that evil monster.''
The black haired girl nods trusting her word though she can't help but still feel unease. Ichigo smiles looking around finally noticing they were inside the stadium in the special waiting room for the duelists in the tournament. She had to admit; it's beautiful, it shows the large window VIP view of the stadium down below and there're plenty of cozy sits to sit on, TV screens and a buffet of food. Ichigo licks her lips so lucky now.
''Guess we're here early Nya.'' She says sweat dropping that they came a bit too early. Erika smiles agreeing and had already plan out a thing, suggesting to her. ''You want to practice again?''
Ichigo blinks by this and this causes her to purr smiling.
''Do I ever Nya!'' She declares excitedly wanting to. Erika nods smiling as the two had a fun dueling practice.
After dueling a few times, Ichigo giggles having gotten a huge upper hand against Erika. She purrs hold the card she play and proclaims joyfully. ''I think this card will come in handy Nya!''
Erika sweat drops eyeing her Mirror Force card, kinda hoping someone uses that card other than herself or Yugi to fall for the card Ichigo has for it.
''ERIKA-CHAN!'' A voice calls out as the two girls turn to the door entrance and it was Jonouchi, rushing over at Erika. She panics but not before Ichigo dashes right past her and kicks the darken blond headed across his groan. Jonouchi, making a slow expression of overwhelming pain, immediately drops face forward. Ichigo sighs noticing Yugi and lets out a purr of joy.
''Yugi-kun!'' She shouts dashing to the nervous tricolor head and hugs him rapidly, still purring. Yugi blushes hugging her back as he apologizes. ''Sorry we're late. We were well asked for directions.''
Ichigo blinks staring at him, not following. Yugi, still blushing, points to his right with his other hand. She turns as did Erika who both startled to see Ryan, blushing too awkwardly pretty sure this is a standard Japanese thing.
''Oh the lawyer guy Nya!'' Ichigo speaks up surprise to see him with Yugi. Ryan still sweat drops correctly her politely. ''Ryan, ma'am.''
The red cherry head nods going to remember. He smiles as he waves at Erika but she just sighs crossing her arms.
''Ryan-kun was lost because he was trying to get to the Kaiba Stadium by walking.'' Yugi explains himself as Jonouchi slowly pulls himself up still grunting and even sobbing in pain.
Erika raises an eyebrow asking in a puzzle voice. ''Why?''
Ryan chuckles almost nervously as he explains himself a bit embarrassed. ''I like exploring. And also I don't like riding on limos or cars that much, makes me feel unease.''
Ichigo giggles more rubbing her elbow on Erika's arm as she states. ''That's so cool Ryan-chan! Right, Erika-chan?''
Erika blushes upsetting maybe, not much. Ryan sweat drops wondering if she hates him or something.
''I see you all made it.'' A familiar voice speaks up causing Ichigo to shiver a bit. They turn to see Mai Kujaku with her arms crossed and smirking softly.
''Mai-chan…'' Ichigo mutters sweating a bit. Yugi eyes her worrying since Ichigo did lose badly against Mai before.
''Not a surprise to see you here.'' Jonouchi comments with a small smirk. Mai smirks having gotten the invite and she wouldn't past it especially since she lost horribly against her opponent in Battle City V3. She took this chance to improve her skills saying pretty confident in herself. ''Like I'll miss my chance to outshine the rest of you boys.''
Mai then eyes Ichigo, actually amazed she came this far. She praises the young girl. ''But I am impressed you got here on your first tournament.''
Ichigo just stares at her silently but determined, not forgetting the loss she took from her and how this is now her chance to beat Mai back… but also to face Yugi-kun. That way she can finally-
''Yugi my darling!'' Ichigo then startles as someone jumps behind her and wraps around Yugi. He panics heavily knowing who that was, uttering out. ''Rebecca-kun?!''
Indeed it was the shorty yet smart pigtail blond headed adjusting her glasses.
''You got here too Nya?'' Ichigo utters out surprised to see her here. Rebecca explodes releasing her grip off Yugi and declares in a loud rant. ''OF COURSE! LIKE I'LL MISS THIS CHANCE TO DUEL MY YUGI!''
She then points her finger at Ichigo who blinks. Rebecca glares serious not forgetting the loss she got from her duel against her and she won't make the same mistake again.
''Or my revenge duel against you, Ichigo Momomiya!'' Rebecca vows as her blue eyes stare like daggers at her rival. Ichigo blinks confused but smiles admitting herself. ''Neat! I really want to duel you again too especially since my deck is better than last time Nya.''
Rebecca sweat drops heavily not expecting this to backfire hard. Even Jonouchi sweat drops how similar Ichigo is to Yugi… it just upsets him more.
''So who else is here?'' Jonouchi asks kinda curious who else made it. Mokuba whistles oddly pointing his dumbs at himself. This surprises almost everyone with Rebecca asking rather astonished. ''You Mokuba?''
Mokuba smirks chuckling that his brother had been training him for a long time but he didn't want him involved in Battle City V3 to settle the score against Yugi… which ended badly. This time Seto allowed him to enter to secure his chances in dueling Yugi.
''Nii-san trained me and I'm much more than you think I am. I was the other person who advanced in the tournament, along with another.'' Mokuba explains doing a pretty good job. Though he frowns have checked the other duelist and yet whoever he is, by his voice; he doesn't know how he looks like. All he knows is his name: Diederick Baumeister; German who won a nation tournament in Germany… though something is off with how he hides his face with a hoodie. He'll have to inform his brother later.
''So who else is here?'' Mai questions curious who else is here. After all, best not be surprised who you'll face.
''That would be I.'' A familiar voice speaks up as the group turns to see the Egyptian woman approaching them.
''Ishizu-kun?!'' Yugi mutters out surprise to see the older Ishtar sibling here. Ichigo agrees declaring excitedly. ''Oh wow! We didn't know you came back after well Reshef.''
Ishtar nods somewhat happy to cross paths with Yugi and his allies as she explains her reasons. ''Kaiba asked of me as repaying a favor and here I am.''
''But to join this tournament Nya?'' Ichigo questions with Jonouchi nodding in agreement. Ishizu understands their concern why she joined the tournament but she did so with the same vision she saw with the Millennium Necklace; the one involving Yugi's future. She keeps trying to see it and more and more that future alters but the same result is Yugi confronting against another with strange red colored eyes and wielding a similar sword as Yugi's… and then everything is surrounded by darkness with a sinister eye gazing in it. Ishizu shivers by the horror she saw and felt; worse than the evil of her brother. But right now she should not inform Yugi of this.
''I simply wish to confirm something I saw through my Millennium Necklace.'' Ishizu explains herself wishing to learn more from those visions and prevent this danger about to happen.
''… Makes sense to me Nya!'' Ichigo speaks up joyfully still happy to see her here. Yugi sweat drops not so sure if it does make sense, by much at the least.
''Well look at this group with many familiar faces.'' A male voice speaks up that boils Jonouchi's pressure and surprises Mai. The group turns and Jonouchi groans a bit seeing someone he didn't expect to cross paths again.
''Valon…'' Jonouchi mutters serious staring down at the brown haired Australian, his former enemy when he was working under Dartz. Valon, wearing a different alternative to his old outfit but wearing a longer coat, smirks to see the darker colored blond head still the same… as well as blonde he still sort of cares for.
''Been a long time Mai.'' Valon says with a charming smirk.
''…'' Mai just crosses her arms scoffing as if not caring. Valon sighs not surprised he stares at Jonouchi and says rather cocky. ''I see you haven't made any progress with Mai, Jonouchi.''
Jonouchi groans having no comment… especially since Erika is there. He's not sure yet… Erika likes him and is willing to go out with him but nothing else; Mai isn't but wants something more. Why are women so complicated?
''Will you stop teasing your opponents?'' Another voice speaks up as they turn and Yugi, Jonouchi and Mai startle to see the other duelist who worked for Dartz, Alister.
Mokuba walks up to him with a small smile, telling him. ''Alister, glad you accepted Nii-san's offer.''
Alister eyes him happy to see Kaiba's younger brother doing well as he answers him. ''I only did it because I want show him my new way of living.''
''At least you're doing well.'' Mokuba says relieve he's doing well. Alister tries to smile admitting he is doing well.
''… Who are those guys Nya?'' Ichigo utters out really puzzle what's going on and who those two were. Jonouchi was going to answer her and then it hit him uttering out. ''Wait if those two are here then-''
''I didn't expect our paths to cross again.'' Another voice speaks up startling Yugi. He turns to see the talk, muscular short blond man in front of him.
''Raphael-kun.'' Yugi mutters out not expecting to cross paths either. The two eye each other and Yugi just smiles with Atem in spirit form eyeing his former rival/enemy when Dartz was plotting to destroy all life.
''… Who's that now?'' With a puzzled expression, Ichigo now asks not getting this. Mai sighs at how neither Yugi nor Jonouchi told her anything. So she tells the red cherry head. ''Those three used to be enemies and that guy…''
''He dueled and beat the Pharaoh once.'' Rebecca adds somewhat upset, still recalling how Yugi's soul was taken during that duel. This reveal shocked Ichigo as she was not told of this.
''NYA?! Someone defeated Yugi-kun and the Pharaoh Nya?!'' Ichigo expresses out in horror not believing anyone could beat Yugi. Rebecca sweat drops not going to gloat over her
''My-my, look at the pressure by these duelists.''
Everyone turns with Jonouchi snapping to see the guy who defeated him in the KC Grand Championship, Zigfried von Schroeder.
''You!'' Jonouchi yells even more upset, remembering all the trouble he caused during the tournament… not to mention beating him in the 2nd Round.
''Happy to be part of this tournament, Zigfried?'' Mokuba questions with a small smirk, kinda surprised Seto let him in after he was disqualified and then beaten by him too. Zigfried eyes the younger Kaiba sibling and nods responding. ''Of course, do thank your older brother for his generosity. I promise I will show him my own evolution.''
Mokuba smirks at that statement simply responding. ''Trust me Nii-san will be more than ready for it.''
Jonouchi nods extremely seriously plus on his own because this time he'll best him.
''Yugi-san.'' Another voice speaks up to the tricolor head. Yugi turns and smiles to see Leon von Schroeder, Zigfried's younger brother and a well-respected duelist. He hasn't seen him since the tournament where he and Atem defeated the powerful Field Spell Leon used for his brother's stake.
''Leon-kun! I was wondering you would join this tournament.'' Yugi says pretty happy to see him here. Leon smiles nodding wishing to have met him again sooner for Battle City V3 but things happened.
''My apology for not joining Battle City; I joined another tournament to prepare my deck for a likely rematch and this one I've-'' Leon begins explaining only for Ichigo to walk in between the two in a cute girl manner with her arms behind her back and asks her boyfriend. ''So who's this one Nya? He seems nice Yugi-kun.''
''…'' Leon stands frozen, blushing red eyeing the beautiful red pigtailed Japanese girl. Her soft brown eyes, her cute smile; everything about her look cuter than anything he's seen… even more so than his Prinzessin card.
Ichigo eyes the dark pink haired ponytail boy, giggling as she introduces himself while raising her hand to him. ''I'm Ichigo Nya!''
Leon staggers and quickly responds kneeling down and accepting her hand. Ichigo watches this rather stunned with Rebecca gasping loudly almost jealous. Yugi blinks very awkwardly though he didn't see it as a bad thing.
''L-Leon, milady.'' Leon introduces himself rather shyly, kissing her fore hand. Ichigo purrs by his kiss on her hand, letting out joyfully. ''Ah! He's such a charmer Nya!''
Leon continues blushing redder by her kind words. Atem watches this sweat dropping, a bit relief that Ichigo isn't the cheating type. He eyes Yugi and asks him telepathically. ''You do realize what's going on right?''
Yugi blinks eyeing the spirit and just responds pretty much clueless but kind. ''They're greeting each other?''
Sweat dropping harder, Atem sighs deeply as did Yin-Yang Dragon; a bit relief Yugi is not the jealous type.
Seto sits on a chair in his private VIP room, checking the time as it was time for the tournament.
''Time to stare.'' He declares standing up from his chair. He prepares to leave until Mokuba walks in calling him out. ''Nii-san!''
''What is it Mokuba? I'm about to declare the start of the-'' Seto begins to tell him wanting to head out but he's interrupted by a familiar voice. ''I really like your park, Seto-san.''
Kaiba, trying to not startle, stares at Kisara waving at him with a soft smile.
''…'' Seto did not say a word in silent staring at her. He eyes her face smiling and finally says almost acting like he didn't care. ''Glad you like it then.''
Kisara giggles smiling as she explains her presents. ''I heard from Ichigo-san about your park and the tournament that I came back from my quick visit back from America.''
''How was it then?'' Mokuba asks with a small smile. Kisara smiles back as she answers him happily. ''Well, my father actually has a new hobby though he hasn't shared it with me.''
''Your adoptive father then?'' Seto questions with an eyebrow lifted up. She nods replying. ''You must have met him. He runs Star Labs.''
Kaiba scoffs now aware who it was. So called genius but just a fool who played god a little too much. He then says unimpressed. ''Oh? Him then. I heard about that explosion.''
Kisara sweat drops a bit by his reply but then again her step father could have delay the experiment until everything was good.
''I wasn't around during the time but he's okay… partly.'' She says rather sadden to what happened to his legs, no less the trust to his connections for his lab. It's not easy to- Kisara quickly shakes her head not wanting to talk about this stuff but rather get closer to Seto again.
''Seto-san, is it alright maybe when you're not dueling, that you could show me around Kaiba Land?'' Kisara asks of him, blushing a bit shy. Seto eyes her, his arms crossed in opposing such a ridicules thing… but he does want to show her everything the park has to offer. After all, she enjoys his pride and soul Blue-Eyes White Dragon more so than himself.
''I supposed.'' Seto answers gladly accepting. Kisara blushes joyfully to hear that as she says rather overjoyed. ''I really want to ride the Blue-Eyes Motor Train!''
Seto strikes a small smirk for a moment before replying. ''If you wish, I wouldn't mind it. Watch my duels though.''
Kisara giggles not wanting to miss those as she declares in a cheerful tone. ''Of course! Do your best!''
Kaiba oddly forms another smirk and walks off. Mokuba grins a bit happy to see his older brother acting the part as he follows right behind him. Kisara blushes looking forward more than ever now.
Everyone not attending the tournament was in the stands awaiting the duel. The rest of Team Dragon Knight, well minus Sonic who's off running, Danny due to the time zone between the US and Japan even through the Ghost Zone and Shadow not interested, were watching from their sits.
''Man, am I glad the others let me watch the tournament here.'' Judai expresses excitedly for the duels. Ed narrows his eyes upsetting at him and proclaims. ''Well you should have watched it where your friends are at! Time traveling can screw us up!''
Kurosaki glares at him and mutters out grumpy. ''Can you stop saying the same time travel nonsense already?''
''I WON'T-'' Ed is about to rant furious until he gasps out by Alicia pinching his ear. She sighs telling him pointing to the stage down on the stadium field. ''Let's be quiet okay, it's about to start.''
The young alchemist just groans more crossing his arms as they all notice the lights turned off and down to the field lights shooting upward as holographs of 3 Blue-Eyes White Dragons.
''… Why?'' Naruto utters out dumbfounded by Kaiba's ''fetish''.
Everyone watches as Pegasus steps onto the stage, waving at the audiences all present and all watching in their homes or places showcasing the tournament. Kaiba, also standing there, simply stares among all with his arms crossed like a stoic badass… or a grumpy badass in Ichigo's mind.
''Ladies and gentleman, greetings to all! You know who we are and you know why you're all here!'' Pegasus announces to all for the big show they all have been waiting. However Kaiba declares making it to the point. ''So let's get past this chit-chat and commence the KC Cup!''
Pegasus agrees as he informs. ''First we would like to introduce are currently visible duelists!''
In that cue the duelists begin walking into the field. Ichigo shivers a little anxiety to walk, her legs shaking rapidly. Yugi notices that with the cat girl whispering to him. ''I'm scared Nya.''
He frowns admitting he was nervous in Duelist Kingdom… then again he was more concern with saving his grandfather's soul. Still he gets her and he thought of something smiling. Yugi reaches and holds on her hand, causing Ichigo to blush redder but giggles happily calming her down. Rebecca groans upsetting jealous but tries to be strong regardless.
The couple steps out along with the others. The crowd watches with Usagi cheering excitedly seeing her cousin down there.
''Here are your 16 duelists that are in this tournament!'' Pegasus announces to the crowd who got excited. Jonouchi then blinks starting to count who's in the tournament and even he knew that's wrong.
''16? Did I count wrong?'' Jonouchi asks doing the math with his fingers. Ryan blinks doing the same and agrees with him questioning. ''Huh, I got the same too! Where is the 16th duelist?''
Everyone is unaware that someone in the dark corner was resting on the wall, being said 16th duelist. He just stands there and oddly narrowly staring at Yugi.
Kaiba walks off the stage leaving it to Isono to step up to the stage, announcing to all. ''Before we commence the first duel of the KC Cup, first there will be an exhibition match.''
''Exhibition Match Nya?'' Ichigo questions surprised there will be a special duel before the tournament. Rebecca nods most curious as she asks. ''So who's dueling?''
On the special duel field zone, Pegasus steps on it with Kaiba waiting for him. Everyone mostly sweat drop with Jonouchi muttering not at all surprised. ''Of course.''
''Why does Kaiba-Baka have a hate boner for cartoon creator guy Nya?'' Ichigo asks the most obvious question. Mokuba sweat drops kinda wishing she was there from the beginning of when his brother hated Pegasus.
''Other than stealing our company while Nii-san was seemingly brain dead, kidnapped me, threated Nii-san using me and his magic eye powers; that's just a few reasons why he hates Pegasus.'' Mokuba says pretty okay from all he too went through; Seto not at all.
Pegasus hums most enthusiastic to duel Kaiba… though the same can't be said, even Pegasus knows it BUT it's the thought that counts. After all, they were ''friends'' or ''socializes''.
''Now then Kaiba-boy, let's not go crazy shall we?'' Pegasus asks of him as they did sort of agree this duel would be short.
''…'' Kaiba did not reply and instead activates his Duel Disk as he places his headset. Pegasus sighs sliding on his Duel Disk.
''Okay then, guess we'll see how far the duel gets up to the 5th turn.'' He declares to the audience as he puts in his Deck. Kaiba just raises his Duel Disk as his holographic deck materializes. Everyone watches as this will become a crazy duel.
''Duel!'' Both Kaiba and Pegasus declare drawing their 5 cards, commencing the duel.
Duel Screen: Seto Kaiba: 4000LP vs. Pegasus: 4000LP
Pegasus hums in a tune, looking forward to dueling Kaiba. After all it's always a joy to see how far the young man has gotten. Kaiba, however, did not feel the same but to destroy him in this duel.
"Oh Kaiba-boy, I think you should start first. After all we have only 5 turns and you need as many advantages then I do.'' Pegasus suggests pretty confident with his current hand. Kaiba scoffs coldly but does answer. ''… Fine.''
Everyone watches as did Kisara, staring closely towards Kaiba.
Duel Screen: Turn 1_ Kaiba: 4000LP H: 5 / Pegasus: 4000LP H: 5
''My turn!'' Kaiba declares drawing his top holographic card. It vanishes and appears in his hand screen, staring at his move. He makes his move pressing on the cards in his screen and announces as said cards materialize on his field. ''I set a monster facedown and set 3 cards facedown. Turn end.''
This was a rather questionable first turn for someone like Kaiba to set his cards like that. Even Pegasus fear this is part of his plan.
''Some first move.'' Jonouchi, however, states not much impressed.
Duel Screen: Turn 2_ Kaiba: 4000LP H: 2 / Pegasus: 4000LP H: 5
''My turn now. I draw!'' Pegasus announces drawing his top card. He hums eyeing his options and grabs a card in his hand. He slides it to his Field Spell slot and then pulls out the top 3 cards from his deck, banishing them.
''First I banish the top 3 cards from my Deck to activate the Field Spell, Toon Kingdom!'' Pegasus declares as the colorful Toon Kingdom emerges out of a sudden pink smoke. He then adds summoning a monster. ''Next since you control a monster and I don't, I can Special Summon Toon Cyber Dragon from my hand!''
Shooting out from the open children's book, a Toon version of Cyber Dragon appears with a cute, doggish smile.

Kaiba growls a bit still hating these demonic creatures. Pegasus then proceeds playing a new card never before. ''Now I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Relinquished Fusion!''
''Relinquished Fusion?'' Yugi and Ichigo mutter as they watch a strange twisted fusion portal materializes over Pegasus. He chuckles almost menacing but carefree as he explains. ''With this I can perform a Fusion Summon by banishing monsters on my hand, field and Graveyard. Now I fuse Relinquished from my hand with Toon Cyber Dragon in my Graveyard.''
Both Toon Cyber Dragon and Pegasus's Ritual Ace begins merging together in the fusion portal.
''Let your new ancient power control all those who get in your way and devour them.'' Pegasus chants as the portal explodes and he calls forth as a figure emerges. ''Fusion Summon! Now appear, Millennium-Eyes Restrict!''
The monster resembles Thousand-Eyes Restrict but golden with its covered eyes replaced with what seem to be Millennium Eyes, its wings more like capes, has a golden lining design and its head is almost like a crown with its real eyes glowing blue.
Millennium-Eyes Restrict Lvl 1 ATK: 0 DEF: 0
Kaiba glares coldly but silent. Pegasus chuckles confident as he plays the last card in his hand. "Oh but I'm not done! I activate the spell, Card of Sanctity! Now we draw until we have 6 cards each.''
Both duelists draw until they had 6 cards in their hand.
''Next I activate the spell, Toon Rollback! With it, my Toon monster it targets can attack twice and I choose my Toon Dark Magician Girl!'' Pegasus declares playing his spell allowing his Toon to attack twice. He then adds playing two more cards in his hand. ''Next I equip my toon with the Equip Spells, Axe of Despair and Mage Power! Now-''
''Get on with it.'' Kaiba calls him off already aware what almost all of these cards he's used he has played.
Pegasus sighs proclaiming. ''Rude aren't you Kaiba-boy. Anyway, my lovely Toon gains 1000 ATK from the axe as the other gives it 500 ATK and DEF for each Spell and Trap Card I control.''
Toon Dark Magician Girl gains 2500ATK, shooting up to 4500 in total. Most people already saw that with one direct attack, Pegasus wins. Even more so that Toon Kingdom protects Toons from being targeted or destroyed.
''Now battle-'' Pegasus begins to declare only for Kaiba to interrupt triggering his set card. ''Reverse trap open, Attack Guidance Armor!''
One of his face-down cards flips over as Kaiba explains firmly. ''With my trap, I select your new attack target and since my trap ignores targeting your monster, your Field Spell can't help you!''
Pegasus sighs not surprised Kaiba had a plan, far from it.
''Oh well. I'll attack your facedown monster then.'' Pegasus suddenly declares but Kaiba immediately protests. ''And why should I do that? I can have my trap target your Millennium-Eyes-''
Pegasus interrupts by chuckling and declares playing a card from his hand. ''If I don't chain it with the Quick-Play Spell, Forbidden Lance! Now my Millennium-Eyes Restrict's ATK is drop by 800 until the End Phase but in exchange it is unaffected by other Spell or Trap Card effects.''
Millennium-Eyes drops to 100 ATK, making it immune to Kaiba's trap. Kaiba growls as he changes his target. ''Fine, I target my set monster.''
Toon Dark Magician Girl charges at Kaiba's set monster, swinging her wand at it.
Will this play save Kaiba or will he lose?

Jonouchi: You know Momomiya… I hope so too!
Everyone watches as Pegasus' Toon Dark Magician Girl swings her wand like a hammer, stomping Kaiba's set monster. The Monster card is forced to flip over to reveal the cybernetic one-eye robot creature, Cyber Jar.
"Cyber Jar?!'' Jonouchi yelps in horror. Ichigo blinks puzzled remembering the card, sort of. She can't right now. Yugi, sweat dropping, notices her puzzled expression and gladly explains it to her. ''Powerful monster. If it's flipped, it destroys all monsters and next both players draw 5 cards from their deck and if any is a Level 4 or lower monster, you can Special Summon it.''
Ichigo gasps shocked as she utters out loudly. ''Super strong!''
Indeed it was that Cyber Jar opens sucking up everything with its eyeball. Even Pegasus begins panicking in horror. ''OH NO! You have me under your mercy!''
''…'' Kaiba remains silent with his arms crossed, able to see through his acting. Pegasus slowly changes his attitude as declares with a wink. ''Never mind. You're such a party pooper, Kaiba-boy.
Kaiba glares coldly waiting for what explanation he has to stop his Cyber Jar, other than his Toon Kingdom protecting his Toon monsters by banishing the top card of his deck. Pegasus lets out a chuckle gladly explaining himself. ''Millennium-Eyes Restrict has the effect whenever my opponent activates a Monster Effect, my monster can target and absorb an Effect Monster you control or in your Graveyard, equipping it to my monster gaining their ATK and DEF as well as negating that monster's effects and they cannot attack.''
This actually shocked Kaiba as Millennium-Eyes open up its eyes, each one glowing and locking at Cyber Jar.
''Now I absorb your Cyber Jar, thus negating its effect.'' Pegasus announces as the eyes fire a beam, stunning and pulling Cyber Jar to its open mouth and once it got close, Millennium-Eyes devoured it. Ichigo gulps unease by such a scene.
''Now then, my Toon Dark Magician Girl resumes her second attack!'' Pegasus proceeds to his second attack as his Toon monster fires a powerful chaotic blast from her toy wand. Kaiba glares not going to submit to this triggering his other set card.
"I activate my set card, Silence Commander!'' Kaiba declares activating a card as a bird-like totem appears and releases a horrible screech of pain. Everyone cover their ears, especially Ichigo screaming in pain since her cat ears are more sensitive. ''IT HURTS SO MUCH NYA!''
Pegasus yelps as did his Toon monster. Kaiba scoffs as he explains. ''With it, I negate your attack and then end the Battle Phase. Plus I draw a card.''
He draws his top card as the totem shatters, stopping its screeching. Pegasus sighs rubbing his eardrums with his pinkie finger.
''Clever Kaiba-boy.'' He praises his cold yet powerful opponent. Still Pegasus sighs how much less fun Kaiba is and he has nothing else to do proclaiming. ''I end my turn.''
Duel Screen: Turn 3_ Kaiba: 4000LP H: 7 / Pegasus: 4000LP H: 2
Checking his hand for a moment, Kaiba could see his path to victory.
''… My turn. Draw!'' Kaiba declares drawing his top card. He eyes it only for Pegasus to tell him almost teasing him. ''Hmm what will you do now Kaiba-boy? I hope you're not finished.''
Kaiba simply scowls and answers by playing one of the cards in his hand screen. ''I activate the spell, Pot of Greed. I draw 2 cards.''
He draws 2 more cards. Kaiba eyes it and slowly forms a smirk which leaves Pegasus unease.
''Pegasus, this duel is already over.'' Kaiba announces as he presses one of the cards in his screen, playing it. ''I activate the spell, Bingo Machine, Go!''
Materializing on his field is the very Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon theme bingo machine from Battle City. It starts shooting around balls inside the sphere as Kaiba explains. ''With this I reveal 3 cards that are either Blue-Eyes monsters or a Spell/Trap that lists Blue-Eyes except itself and then you pick one of them in random.''
Kaiba taps on top of his Deck as a screen opens up and he selects 3 Blue-Eyes theme cards, revealing to Pegasus by another screen before the cards are shuffle and shown face-down.
''Whatever you pick, I add it to my hand and the rest go back to my Deck.'' Seto says waiting for what he picks. Pegasus not expecting Kaiba of all people would gamble his way to victory. Ironic to be honest.
''Pretty random but fine.'' He says tapping on one of the cards and soon the screen vanishes and the picked card appears in Kaiba's hand.
''Perfect.'' He simply says selecting and sliding his finger on four cards in his hand screen, declaring. ''I activate the spell, Polymerization! I fuse two Blue-Eyes White Dragons and 1 Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon from my hand together!''
Yugi startles as this could be Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
Soon 2 of the original Blue-Eyes White Dragons along with the Alternative White version appear and fly upward in the sky.
''Bow before the ultimate dragon's perfect evolution! Let its incredible power vaporized all those before me!'' Kaiba chants as his three dragons merge and fuse together. At this point Yugi and Atem quickly realized Kaiba isn't using the same chant of Neo Blue-Eyes meaning it's something else.
''Fusion Summon!'' Kaiba calls forth as the light over him takes form and shoots downward behind him. ''Descend, Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon!''
Emerging behind Kaiba with grand lightning of light and 3 mighty roars, is a new Blue-Eyes fusion resembling Ultimate Dragon but now more like Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon with a more detailed dragon body with multiple blue orbs across its body and its body and heads are more chaotic. It also has quad wings as each of the head having round yet sharp blue glowing eyes.
Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon Lvl 12 ATK: 4500 DEF: 3800
Everyone watches surprised to see a new Ultimate version of Kaiba's Blue-Eyes especially Kisara blushing almost turned on.
Pegasus hums his arms crossed rather impressed but just a tad bit.
''Impressive new dragon but it's no match for me.'' Pegasus proclaims confident his Millennium-Eyes and his powerful Toon Dark Magician Girl can handle this. Kaiba scoffs uttering out. ''Think again.''
Pegasus raises an eyebrow with Seto proclaiming. ''I activate Alternative Ultimate's effect, able to target and destroy a card you control but if one of its Fusion Materials was a Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon it can destroy 3 cards instead!''
His three-headed dragon roars charging energy between each of their mouths.
''Naïve Kaiba-boy.'' Pegasus simply says as his Millennium-Eyes starts glowing. ''Millennium-Eyes Restrict's effect now activates! Now guess which card I'm targeting my Restrict with.''
His monster locks its eyes at Kaiba's Alternative Ultimate Dragon. It seems certain Kaiba made a mistake but the Blue-Eyes duelist simply scoffs, proclaiming. ''Not Alternative Ultimate.''
Pegasus startles as he notices his Millennium-Eyes' glowing eyes didn't pull Kaiba's dragon at all. This shocks him with Kaiba explaining with his arms crossed. ''My new Ultimate Dragon cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects. But yours can! Ultimate Burn Burst!''
His dragon releases a three-way blast at Pegasus's field. They destroy Millennium-Eyes, Axe of Despair and Toon Kingdom. Pegasus braces himself having only his 2500ATK Toon Dark Magician Girl.
Pegasus groans a bit concern now but he was prepared for this.
''That changes nothing Kaiba-boy. I can now use Illusionist Faceless Magician's effect from my hand, Special Summoning it to my field!'' Pegasus declares summoning a monster. What emerges is a monster resembling Illusionist Faceless Mage but slightly more menacing, kneeling down in Defense Position.
Illusionist Faceless Magician Lvl 5 ATK: 1200 DEF: 2200
Pegasus cracks a bit in chuckles eyeing the last card in his hand. If Kaiba tries to destroy his magician, it will bring back Millennium-Eyes and with the card in his hand, it will secure not losing.
''I still have Millennium-Eyes Illusionists and with his effect, I can equip an Effect Monster to my Restrict as if it used its effect. I can still turn things around until the 5th turn.'' Pegasus tells him confident in his chances. He then looks up at Kaiba and asks him in a teasing tone.''Now what, Kaiba-boy?''
Kaiba eyes him and scoffs tapping at a card in his hand screen, declaring.''I activate the spell, Dragon's Mirror!''
A fusion portal resembling a dragon materializes over Kaiba's field, starting swirling rapidly.
''I banish my 3 dragons to perform a new Fusion Summon!'' Kaiba announces as his 3 Blue-Eyes he used reappear and were suck inside the portal. He then chants as the portal shines brighter. ''Appear, the ultimate dragon of destruction! The Toughest! The Invincible! The Unbeatable!''
Emerging out from the portal is the figure of destruction with Kaiba calling forth the original Ultimate Dragon of Destruction. ''Fusion Summon! Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!''
Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Lvl 12 ATK: 4500 DEF: 3800
Everyone watches unease to see two Ultimate Dragons on Kaiba's field. Kisara lets out a small shout of excitement, loving how Seto summoned more Blue-Eyes monsters.
Kaiba isn't far from done tapping on a card on his screen. ''I activate the spell, Neutron Blast! With it, my Ultimate Dragon can attack 2-3 times this turn and you cannot activate or use effects until the Damage Step.''
The original Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon roars gaining a strong aura outline across its body. Pegasus now sweats as that spell can prevent his Illusionist Faceless Magician's effect.
''Battle! Vaporize those before me, Ultimate Burst!'' Seto commands as his Ultimate Dragon roars and all three heads fire a destructive burst from their mouths, consuming and nuking Pegasus' field. Pegasus yells standing his ground but his Life Points immediately drop to 0.
Duel Screen: Winner… Seto Kaiba: 4000LP vs. Pegasus: 0LP
Everyone stares as smoke blows from the duel field and Pegasus pants heavily. Seto's dragons vanish as he scoffs walking away.
''Geez…'' Ichigo mutters out taken back by his over killed. Jonouchi agrees speaking up. ''That Kaiba can't even accept a 5 turn duel with no conclusion.''
Yugi nods agreeing. Ryan is amazed how strong Kaiba is, no doubt since he's a legend.
Pegasus brushes off the dirt on his clothes as he speaks through a microphone. ''Bravo Kaiba-boy, just like you to push me this hard. Isn't that right everyone?''
''…'' No comment from the stands as they found that very much an over-killed. Kaiba coughs standing on the stage and announces to all. ''Ladies and gentleman, I announce the start of the KC Cup!''
Everyone hesitates a moment to cheer but eventually every claps with cheers. Kaiba strikes a smirk as he snaps his fingers and the large stadium screen turns up, revealing the tournament bracket of the tournament.
''As you see the bracket up above, it shows who duels first.'' Pegasus informs all on his end. Everyone stares at the screen to see who they will duel. Ichigo, however, is more focused on hers and notices hers and Yugi's brackets were next to each.
''Yugi-kun and I could be dueling in the next round if I beat my opponent Nya.'' Ichigo tells herself mentally giggling that she will be dueling Yugi soon.
''The first duel will be between Yugi and…'' Jonouchi declares the first duel between his best friend and… and that part stuns him and Rebecca panicking. Yugi blinks looking at who his first opponent and he too startle as did Atem. It had to be Raphael; then again it seems fitting too.
''Raphael. Partner, maybe I should-'' The Pharaoh slowly suggests wishing to settle the score between them but surprisingly Yugi protests with a small smirk.''No way Atem. I want to duel him this time.''
This causes Atem to raise an eyebrow at his partner. Yugi looks at his deck in his hand, recalling the first duel they had against him and what Raphael said that Atem doesn't respect his cards. That still upset Yugi even today and this might be his chance to show him otherwise.
''I want to show him that our cards, wherever they may be, are a team.'' Yugi tells his partner, wishing to show his opponent the true difference in the trust in their cards. Atem eyes the tricolor head and forms a small smirk declaring.''Show him then partner.''
Yugi nods as he slides on his Duel Disk as he walks towards the stadium field. Ichigo smiles and cheers him happily.''Yugi-kun, good luck Nya!''
''Right!'' The tricolor head answers back with a wave, heading off. Ichigo giggles knowing he'll win.
Everyone in the stands watch as Yugi emerges out of the bottom entrances and walks up to the field where Raphael is waiting with his arms crossed. He eyes the tricolor head walking up and notices it's not the Pharaoh.
''So the Pharaoh won't duel me then?'' He questions sort of expecting him to duel him to settle their score.
''Nay, I asked him not to.'' Yugi responds in a cocky tone. This surprises Raphael with a small smirk. From back when he worked for Dartz, he was told of the Pharaoh and the body he used to bring himself out into the living world but that body he possessed was weak and shy compare to the pride and present he had. Now that same body doesn't seem to be the same one as before.
''I didn't expect someone as shy and kind like you to have gained such a backbone.'' He comments rather impressed. Yugi narrows his eyes to Atem's spirit and responds.''I learned from my partner.''
Raphael forms a smile wanting to see just how strong this Yugi is compared to the Pharaoh, proclaiming as he slides on his Duel Disk with deck. ''Then show me how well you stack up against me.''
Yugi nods sliding on his deck in his Duel Disk follow by his headset.
Mokuba stares on his end in the camera stage and orders everyone to start broadcasting however a few figures slowly come towards the younger Kaiba sibling.
Kaiba watches inside his VIP room. He stares closely remembering the defeat the Pharaoh took by that Raphael so will Yugi prove he's superior. For Seto, this was worth watching closely.
''This should be something.'' He tells himself firmly with his arms crossed.
Everyone watches very excited as this is the first duel of the tournament and an overwhelming one too.
Smirking rather excitedly, Yugi declares determined. ''Let's go Raphael-kun!''
Raphael smirks confident as the two declare, preparing to draw their top cards. ''DU-''
''Um Yugi-san, could you please come upstairs to the VIP Room?'' Everyone is left speechless as the duel is suddenly interrupted by Mokuba's voice. This also shocks Seto greatly.
''Huh?'' Yugi utters out blinking awkwardly.
''What's going on?'' Mai questions not sure if this is supposed to suspenseful or what.
''Yea what gives! They're about to duel!'' Someone among the crowd shouts enrage as others shout in agreement.
Kaiba groans despising the displeased on the crowd especially when it could influence his company and amusement park. He tabs his collar neck and demands him. ''Mokuba, what's the meaning of this?''
''Um Nii-san, well you see-'' Mokuba tries to explain on his end but then he's cut off by seemingly someone taking the communicator and speaking now directly to the older Kaiba sibling. ''I wish to see Mutou-kun immediately, Kaiba-kun.''
Seto is quite unfamiliar with this voice which only further irritated him.
''Who the hell is this?'' He demands coldly not having these games. At first no reply from the other end until the same voice finally says just one thing; a letter. ''L.''
Now Kaiba narrows his eyes though his pupils shake briefly as this was a shock. He groans but now he doesn't have a choice. Reaching to his microphone, he orders Yugi as well. ''Yugi, forget the duel for now and go up there.''
Yugi blinks confused that even Kaiba is demanding him to go there and not duel. He sighs not given a choice and leaves, bowing to Raphael for the apology. Raphael sighs accepting his apology as the tricolor head leaves in a hurry.
Ryan then got a pager text as he checks it and frowns as he walks out from the room.
Yugi, along with Ryan and even Kaiba, walk together to a room that they're needed.
''What's going on?'' The tricolor head asks knowing full well nothing on this Earth would stop Kaiba from running his tournament. No replies from him or Ryan who had no clue. Yugi would get his answer as they open the room and is greeted by a voice he didn't want to hear. ''Good evening Mutou-kun.''
Yugi widens his eyes before calming down with a firm stare, staring down at L sitting on a chair and eating his desserts with his cup of coffee. He wasn't alone as Mokuba is forced to be in the room along with the Kira Task Force. At some relief, Yugi is glad Light is not present but it doesn't change the detective to be here.
''Ryuzaki-kun, what's this about?'' Yugi demands calmly yet a bit irritated to interrupt the duel he was about to have. Ryan just glares also at the detective.
L just hums sampling a piece of cake before answering. ''Just bizarre on how you were accused of being Kira.''
Yugi frowns heavily, wishing that day in the police station he wasn't sensing L no less Light's auras there. He sighs annoyed as he answers. ''Well I'm not.''
''I can botch to that.'' Ryan speaks up very serious about this. L looks briefly at the so-called lawyer who tells him upset. ''L, you can't incriminate Yugi for those fake evidences. No one should be judge for such things!''
Yugi stares at him rather surprised, more so that Ryan has met L.
''I wasn't Quint-kun however I am curious why Mutou-kun was accused in being Kira no less what you said that it could be possible that Kira could be behind this.'' L clarifies with the little theory he used against the corrupted officers, who have been fired. Ryan glares at that statement and corrects him. ''By assumption. Could be anyone who learned of the KC Cup to get rid of Yugi.''
L takes a sip of his coffee before counteracting. ''Maybe but an assumption is still a theory.''
He places the cup down and stands up from his chair. He walks up to Yugi and declares. ''I will be taken Mutou-kun under my protection until I see fit.''
Yugi gulps by this and in that moment Kaiba steps forward, glaring sinister at L.
''Over my dead body.'' Seto threatens the detective. If there's anyone he'll at least defend other than his brother it's his rival… after all he will beat him one day. L hums looking at his narrowed eyes, able to tell he means it.
Ryan immediately steps in between the two, very much aware how dangerous L is… he's seen it. He calms the situation down. ''What Mr. Kaiba is saying is that you cannot take Yugi out of his free will no less while he's in a tournament.''
''Hmm…'' L hums at this admitting he's not wrong. Having done studies on this ''Duel Monster'', the game's fans can be chaotic and rallied if someone like Yugi is removed from the tournament… no less Seto Kaiba who might take revenge and L has no time dealing with him if Kira is still a threat.
The detective breathes rubbing his lips with his thumb and responds with an offer. ''I will take him only till the Semi-Finals. Mutou-kun will be returned in those two days.''
''And why should I?'' Kaiba demands coldly refusing such an offer. L eyes the stubborn man and simply says in a more threatening manner. ''Do you wish I remove him from this Earth for a month?''
''…'' Kaiba glares even more furious. He scoffs accepting the offer now.
Yugi sighs upsetting also not wanting to do this but it's better than nothing.
''I hate to agree with this but I agree with what you said Ryan-kun.'' The tricolor head says. Ryan nods muttering with a sigh. ''Yea… I know.''
"Then it's official. Mutou-kun, follow us.'' L declares as he orders Matsuda and Mogi to take him to the car outside the stadium. Matsuda REALLY didn't want to especially since he really wanted to see the tournament in the stands.
Soichiro is still very much protested on the idea to do this but he has little power when it comes to what L wants.
''…'' Yugi starts walking with the officers on his sides. He eyes Ryan and asks of him with a small smile. ''Ryan-kun, tell the others something happen and I'll be back…''
He then pauses and looks at Kaiba, asking of him since he's worry about his home. ''And Kaiba-kun, you talk to my sister.''
''Wonderful…'' Kaiba mutters upsetting not wanting to see that woman again so he'll just send a message to avoid confronting her. Yugi forms a smile walking out along with the officers. L walks out last but not before Kaiba once more threatens him. ''If he doesn't show up in the Semi-Finals, you'll regret it!''
L, stopping and facing him, simply gazes at the CEO with his eyes with Kaiba gazing back coldly. L soon turns away and walks away. This somewhat confirmed that L will keep his promise, at the least.
Ichigo waits with the other duelists until Ryan comes back in, sighing. She sees him and walks up to him, asking worrying. ''Where's Yugi-kun?''
Ryan eyes her and blushes not sure how to explain it.
Pegasus soon receives the information and sighs announcing to all. ''My apology but give us an hour to arrange the bracket anew.''
This caused an outrage among the majority of the crowd. Pegasus sighs as he explains the best he could without revealing any major details. ''Yugi Mutou will not be part of the main tournament until the Semi-Finals and 1 random duelist among the bracket will face a duelist who advances in the second round. No butts or ifs.''
This was really an insult as the crowd was waiting for an epic duel and now they have to wait all the way to the Semi-Finals to see it. Even Jonouchi couldn't believe this as he tries calling Yugi but not answer.
''Yugi-kun…'' Ichigo mutters out worrying and yet concern what has happened to her tricolor head, able to feel something was really wrong.
Yugi is forced to leave the tournament due to L. Will his temporary absent would affect the KC Cup?

Yugi is forced to leave the tournament temporary by L. As such the KC Cup will resume without him for now. With the bracket changed due to this, Ichigo groans as she has to try her best to reach the Semi-Finals to duel Yugi… probably. For now Jonouchi and Kaiba will duel first and having their rematches against their former enemies. How will this turn out.

Yes, I know Alister's Japanese name is Amelda but since Valon and Raphael keep their names through both versions, I made the exception.
As it stands, Yugi (unavailable), Jonouchi, Kaiba, Mai, Rebecca, Leon, Siegfried, Raphael, Valon, Alister, Ichigo, Erika, Ryan and 3 UNKNOWNS are the 16 duelists we will see in the tournament. Expect some duels to be shorter if not two duels into one to make this last arc shorter.
The first round would have been Yugi VS Raphael has been changed due to L's interference of taking Yugi under his surveillance… in confinement. Since a new duelist is too late to be put in and not doing another preliminaries, Kaiba permits 1 duelist to advance to the second round with Yugi gone.
So now the first round will go like this:
Jonouchi VS Valon
Kaiba VS Alister
Erika VS Ishizu
Mai VS Mokuba
Ichigo VS Leon
Rebecca VS Zigfried
And Ryan VS Raphael
With 1 Unknown Duelist Advances to Second Round Finals
Plus the 16th who will duel one of those who advances to the second round.
