Chapter 11

AN: Hello everyone I am back with another chapter as you can see. However before I get to the chapter I have an important announcement/update on my injury.

As many if not all of you are aware last year I broke both my hands pretty bad. For a few months I was inactive on writing but then made the mistake of rushing the healing and forcing out a chapter.

This was a mistake as I further injured my hands and need surgery for them. If this chapter is out before February 8th or 15th then I got it out before my surgery.

Either way after the surgery I will not be able to write anything for at least a month maybe 2. During this time I will still answer PM's, leave reviews on stories I read and so on. I will also take this time to plan out some things for my stories and finally make a priority list for my stories.

This list will essentially comprise the update likelyhood of my stories for the year. The ranges will be Once a month to once a Year at most. I also might publish a new story that I have slowly been working on over the course of a year.

*Update April, 8th 2021*:…Yikes it has been a REALLY long time since I worked on this chapter or any story and for that I really apologize. I blame most of it on 2020 as a LOT of crap went down and continues to go down that has left me with little to no motivation to write.

I won't drag this on to long and will just say that I have not been able to get the surgery on my hands yet due to the Pandemic…and lots of Real Life Drama/Issues have left me drained since way back in August or so when I updated Peek into the Naruto-vers.

Hopefully soon these things will pass and my motivation to write will return. I will however say that my creativity for story ideas has never been stronger just lack the motivation to write them so I have been trying to find people to take them…and have had some success in that department so HUZZAH!

Finally I have to be honest that this chapter will be a relatively short one and will likely only cover up to the start of the Kraken attack….That being said lets start the chapter.

Naruto, Kida and a group of Atlanteans watched the arrival of the former "Intruders" now revealed to actually be their friends. Said friends were arriving via air using vehicles that consisted of fuselage with a 2-seater open cockpit, 2 propellers one above the back seat the other attached to the back of the fuselage providing forward thrust, a pair of retractable wings on either side of the fuselage and three wheels situated underneath the cockpit made up the landing gear.

"Oh it is beautiful!" Mole says from the front cockpit of the aircraft he was in with Vinny.

"Yeah it's amazing what a little paint and spackle will do" Vinny jokes as he pilots the aircraft leading the group towards where Naruto and the others are gathered. The returning group flies above the platform and halt in the air hovering there for a moment before they begin descend to the ground with the wings of the aircrafts retracting as they do so.

After the aircraft lands Naruto begins walking to the one that Audrey was previously piloting and was currently getting out of and lends her a hand "Audrey what brings all of you back so soon?" he asks.

Audrey takes the hand and jumps down to the ground "Just making sure you aren't making a mess of things here" she says with smirk.

Naruto chuckles hear this "Come here" he says pulling her into a surprise hug causing her to flinch "Ah two for flinching" he says before pulling her back into a hug to which she reciprocates.

Meanwhile other Atlantean citizens are welcoming the other members of the group. Several Atlantean women drape a wreath of pink flowers over Sweet's head "Why thank you….Hope my hay fever doesn't act up" Sweet says.

Two muscular Atlantean men help Packard down from the aircraft she and Cookie were in "So who wants to show me around the city?" she asks only for the two men to start arguing with each other about which of them would get to escort her around the city. However Packard chimes in saying "Boys you're both pretty we'll all go" before all three set off to explore the city.

Mole is surrounding by three beautiful Atlantean women, two of which are holding flowers while the other drapes a wreath of flowers over his head "Ho-ho Mesdemoiselles!" Mole says before he begins whispering in the ear of the girl who draped the flowers over him while the other two listen in. However suddenly the three women suddenly gasp before their expressions turn to rage.

Naruto is now standing with Kida, a Royal Guard, the Councilor that altered them to the arrival of their friends, along with Vinny, Audrey, Sweet, and Cookie. Naruto smiles as he says "Geez I missed you guys…" before being interrupted by Mole's shriek of terror as he runs by being chased by the three enraged women "Though I have to ask are you just here for a vacation or is something wrong…Is Mr. Whitmore okay?" he asks continuing his conversation with some worry for the elderly man without whom Naruto wouldn't have been able to return to Atlantis.

Audrey crosses her arms over her chest and smirks as she says "Why don't you ask him yourself?"

Kida turns towards the aircraft and smiles "Naruto…" she says getting his attention and causing him to turn to see Mr. Whitmore making his way out of the front seat of the aircraft Audrey flew.

"Not only am I okay but this crystal of yours makes me feel 20 years younger" he says before leaping down to the ground only to be caught by Naruto who had rushed over upon seeing him about to jump "Of course that still leaves me pretty old" he says with a chuckle before turning to Kida "And this must be Princess Kida, although I guess it would be Queen Kida now" he says with a smile.

Kida suddenly engulfs Mr. Whitmore in a hug lifting him off the ground causing several pops to be heard from Mr. Whitmore's joints and or bones "And you must be Mr. Whitmore! Thank you without your help Naruto wouldn't have been able to return to Atlantis. You helped make all this possible" she says in gratitude before the group hears Mole's screams again and see him tossed to the ground before being dragged off by the same three women before the sounds of hitting can be heard causing the group to wince.

Seeing this Kida decides to move things along before they get awkward "Come let us all go inside and have something to eat" she says before leading Mr. Whitmore and the group up the stairs to the palace.

Mr. Whitmore then turns to Naruto and chuckles "I can see why you were so eager to return to Atlantis…and why you stayed" he says with a chuckle.

Naruto smiles hearing this as his eyes subtly take a peek at Kida's toned yet jiggling butt as she climbs the steps in front of them "Yes Atlantis has some of the best views I have seen in my entire life…and that's saying something considering how old I am and how much I have explored" he says with a chuckle getting a nod from Mr. Whitmore you was oblivious to the true meaning of Naruto's statement thinking he was talking about the city itself.

Meanwhile in the background at the bottom of the steps Mole had somehow managed to break free of the beating he was receiving from the three women and ran past the steps screaming "Aagghh Save My Life!" causing Sweet to just shake his head knowing that whatever reason the three women had for chasing and trying to beat Mole…the dirt loving French man likely deserved it.

*Time skip 1 Hour*

The reunited group of friends were now sitting around a table in the palace feasting on a wide assortment of Atlantean Cuisine and making small talk. Kida hands a bowl of orange food the texture resembling a thick dip to Mr. Whitmore who was sitting on her right while Naruto sat on her left "You must try some of this" she says to Mr. Whitmore who takes a slice of flatbread and dips it into the food before eating it and nodding to Kida showing his liking of the food.

Cookie who was seating by Sweet and Audrey pulls out a bottle of sauce from his pocket and grins "Pepper-sauce never leave home without. Puts a little giddy-up in every meal" he says before trying to pour some on his noodle-like food. However the sauce doesn't come out so he hits the bottom of the bottle a few times resulting in the sauce to shoot out of the bottle…and completely miss his plate instead landing on Sweet and Audrey's shirts "Also makes a fine paint remover…you're going to want to clean that off fast" he says awkwardly as they glare at him.

Audrey then looks down at her plate and gasps "Uh Sweet I think my food just moved" she comments.

Sweet then chuckles as he says "Well then you better eat it quick before it gets away. Besides when it's alive you don't have to swallow so hard. Just point them head first so they know which way to crawl" he says before picking up one of the sauce covered live grubs on his plate and doing just that swallowing the still living grub whole and resulting in Audrey gagging a bit in slight disgust.

Mr. Whitmore finishes swallowing a piece of food before turning to Naruto "I have to say Old Thaddeus would be proud of you Naruto. You not only discovered Atlantis, but also probably saved the world from Rourke's plans for the Heart of Atlantis, and now you're aiding in restoring Atlantis to its former glory as well as being the High Commander of its forces. That's quite the resume for a simple cartographer" he says with a chuckle at the end.

Naruto smiles proudly hearing this before his eyes gain a melancholic look "I just wish Gramps was here to see it. The biggest regret I have in my life is not telling him the truth about who I was and where I came from…" he says somberly as the guilt of not telling Thaddeus about being a citizen of Atlantis thus proving Thaddeus's theories right was something he would live with for the rest of his life. Kida seeing this places her hand over Naruto's getting his attention and smiling softly to which he gently holds her hand "…And of course to meet Kida is another reason why I wish he was here" he says as the majority of the groups smiles seeing the love for each other in the eyes of both Naruto and Kida. Audrey briefly has a conflicted/saddened emotion on her face before it fades away however not before Kida manages to catch it out of the corner of her eye.

Naruto then noticing that everyone is staring clears his throat to break the awkwardness "Well it's great to see everybody together again though I have a feeling there is more to this reunion than just stopping in to say hello" he says finding it a little random that the whole group would suddenly show up and bring Mr. Whitmore along for the ride.

Mr. Whitmore sighs before folded his hands in front of him "I'm afraid your right Naruto…there is trouble on the surface. Already have my Doctor, Digger, Demolition Expert, and Mechanic and as you know each the top of their field. But I came here for the one expert I didn't have, and expert on Atlantis" he says shocking Naruto and Kida.

"Why would you need an expert on Atlantis" Naruto asks with a raised eyebrow.

Mr. Whitmore takes a sip of water before answering "Several cargo ships have gone down and missing in the North Atlantic. The survivors of the various crews what few there were all say the same thing that it was a Sea Monster" he says causing Naruto and Kida's eyes to widen.

Sweet then chimes in saying "At first we thought it might be watchdog at your front door but the range of the attacks is a good distance from the area we encountered it"

Kida becomes alarmed hearing this "The Leviathan?"

Vinny nods his head "Yeah that's one big sea monster! In the water that's the last thing you want to see…Except maybe my Aunt Rose in a swimsuit, sweet woman but very large boned" he says with a joke at the end getting a few chuckles.

Audrey then looks at the Atlantean crystal necklace around her neck "I sure am glad it knew we were friends this time" she says thankful for having the crystal.

Naruto nods his head "Yeah in addition to helping the restoration of Atlantis, I have also been busy clearing out the underground tunnels of dangerous animals/beasts like the giant Pincer-Worm we encountered. I was also able to make it to the Leviathan and repair the damage done to it so there is no chance of it attacking anyone recognized as a citizen of Atlantis or Honorary Citizen like all of you are" he says much to the groups shock and relief as the last thing they wanted was to have to face a hostile Leviathan again.

Kida then frowns slightly as she says "It might not have been the Leviathan but there might be more Atlantean creations out there as my father had many such machines created in his pursuit of expanding Atlantis's borders and the war that resulted from it nearly destroyed the world"

Mr. Whitmore sighs before he says "Well it looks like his war may not be completely over yet".

Hearing this saddens Kida so Naruto moves to comfort her by putting his hand on her shoulder causing her to lean into his chest for support "My memory isn't completely back but from what I can remember the number of Atlantean Machines of the size capable of bringing down a cargo ship are only a handful" he says.

Kida gains a determined look in her eyes "Then Naruto and I will go to the surface with you and end it" she says surprising Naruto

Naruto looks at Kida "Are you sure Kida I mean you're the Queen" he says.

Kida shakes her head hearing this "The city repairs are well underway and in a state of repetition at this point. The councilors can handle the everyday matters, and..I feel responsible for what my father did I want to understand his decision and I am afraid the answers are not in Atlantis" she says.

Naruto is quiet for a moment before he puts his hand on her shoulder "All right let's get things situated then we will be on our way" he says getting a nod from Kida.

*2 Weeks Later*

Naruto and Kida were walking on the deck of a ship as it sailed through the ocean near where the other ships were attacked. The pair had changed their outfits to fit in with the clothing style of above ground. Kida was wearing blue paints and a blue sweatshirt over which was a green trench coat that went down to her mid thigh and on her feet were a pair of knee-high brown boats. Naruto was wearing black pants and a grey button up shirt over which was a green over coat and for shoes he had a pair of black combat boots on.

Naruto sighs as they walk along the deck "I feel bad as its your first time on the surface in over 8,000 years and you can't even see anything due to it being so foggy" he says.

Kida simply smiles "There is no need to feel bad as everything is new to me. The sky, the clouds, everything on this ship even this what is this?" she asks pulling a life preserver off the side of the ship.

Naruto chuckles seeing this "That's a life preserver" he says.

Kida looks at the life preserver "So you wear it and it preserves your life…like our crystals?" she says thinking that's how it worked.

Naruto shakes his head with a small grin "No you throw it to someone in the water if they are drowning and they catch it and hold on to it while someone rescues them" he says explain in the use of it.

Kida's eyes widen hearing this as for a moment she thought it was a game. Naruto seeing this smirks a bit having an idea of what she was thinking and upon seeing the knowing smirk she pouts a bit as the two make their way into the ship and down into the launch bay where the others are.

Vinny is leaning up against some stairs as Audrey works on tightening some torpedoes to the launchers of a Sub-Pod like the ones used three years ago with said Sub-Pods resting on some launchers for quick deployment. Vinny shakes his head "For two weeks we have crisscrossed the North Sea and got nothing. No squids, no jellyfish, and no lobsters from Atlantis" he says in frustration.

Naruto and Kida walk up them "We have to be sure Vinny" Naruto says.

Kida then gets a worried look on her face "What if raising the crystal brought this leviathan to life. This could all be the fault of Atlantis!" she says in worry.

Audrey then taps the torpedoes lightly "I would be more worried about how we fight it than who's to blame. Last time we shot at an Atlantean Machine these things didn't even tickle it" she says.

Vinny raises an eyebrow "Uh Audrey, if you keep hitting that thing, were going to be "Tickled" all over these walls so be cared as Sweet's not here to glue us all back together…Besides this time it's my own special blend of a batter of gelatinous nitroglycerine, dribble in on a shaped charge of TNT, and top it with just a dusting of black powder…and oregano you can't make a bomb without oregano makes a very nice boom. Let the lobster chew on that."

Naruto rubs his chin in thought "You know I don't think it is a Leviathan as a survivor called it the Kraken a legendary Norwegian Sea Monster that looks like a Giant Octopus or Giant Squid with arms a quarter-mile long. Also to my knowledge/memory I don't think Atlantis ever created a machine resembling a Giant Squid/Octopus as it was mainly fish or shellfish that was used as designs" he says.

Kida then shakes her head "That may be true and it may not be a Leviathan but it still could be an Atlantean war machine!" she says.

Mole who is sitting off to the side eating a sandwich and some cheese while Obby looks on longingly at the food licking his lips chimes in saying "She is right, no creature of flesh and blood can bring down a steel cargo ship" right before the ships starts shaking and metal can be heard creaking.

"Something's got the ship!" Audrey yells as the water in the seaport of the ship churns violently as the ship continues shaking.

More metal can be heard creaking and groaning causing Naruto's eyes to widen "It's ripping open the launch doors!" he yells.

The shaking intensifies causing Mole to drop his cheese resulting in him and Obby chasing it as it heads to the launch bay and falls in "My Cheese!..." Mole yells in despair before a massive tentacle rises up from the water into the launch bay "…You can have it" Mole squeaks out.

The group looks on in shock and terror as the tentacle is joined by another "Get to the Sub-Pods!" Naruto yells snapping everyone out of the shock as they make to do so as it was clear that they didn't find the ship sinker…it found them.
