11:17

"Come on, at least tell me where are we going" asked the grey rabbit as she followed the fox, who was carrying a couple of dishes and a bunch of silverware.

"I already told you, Carrots...it's a surprise"

"Not even a hint?"

"Your cute puppy eyes won't work this time, Fluff"

Judy spent the rest of the morning begging Nick to give her a clue about their second date, while Nick had fun teasing her. Around 13:30, the fox microwaved a couple of pasta plates his mother had left them and they both had lunch.

After eating, they cleared the table and did the dishes. Judy lay on the couch and Nick joined her to watch some random TV movie and to cuddle during the ad breaks.

The fox was resting his head on the rabbit's chest as she fondled his ears and kissed the top of his head. Nick eventually closed his eyes and enjoyed the beating of the bunny's heart and the warm feeling of her soft paws.

Their moment was interrupted by the sound of the fox's phone. Nick grabbed it and read a text from Connie.

"My mom told me about your date tonight… you can take my car… the keys are in the bowl by the door… ;)"

Nick got up so Judy couldn't see his phone and then walked out of the living room.

"Hey, where are you going?" asked the bunny while peeking over the couch.

"Stay here, I'll be right back," said the fox before going upstairs.

Nick opened the dresser, grabbed a change of clothes for Judy and himself, and put them in his empty suitcase, which he hid under the bed. Then he went back to cuddling with the grey rabbit, who kept asking questions he kept ignoring.

The minutes went by and Judy decided to change her approach, so, instead of continuing to interrogate Nick, she embraced him tightly and wrapped her legs around his.

"This won't get you anywhere, Carrots," said the flustered fox as he felt the bunny's nuzzle tickling her neck.

Judy ignored him as her arms surrounded his body under his shirt. Nick's heartbeat began to speed up when he felt the soft paws of his bunny running through his chest and several of her kisses on his neck.

"Alright, alright…" Nick tried to free himself from her arms "…you can go upstairs to get ready, we have an hour-long drive ahead"

"An hour?" curiously asked the rabbit.

"Yes, an hour… and that's the only thing I'm gonna tell you, stubborn bunny" the fox kissed her on the cheek after she released him.

Judy, satisfied, went upstairs to change clothes. A few minutes later, she came back to the living room wearing a navy blue summer dress.

"What do you think?" she asked for Nick's opinion while showing off her outfit.

"Cute as always" smirked before gently pulling her by the waist and planting a kiss on the bunny's forehead.

Nick also went upstairs to change clothes, he chose a garnet shirt, a black tie, and a dark pair of pants. He grabbed his suitcase from under the bed and walked back to the living room.

"Ready to go?"

"And that suitcase?" asked Judy as she walked towards him.

"Mmmm… you ask too many questions, Carrots" smiled the fox as he put his arm over her shoulder.

Nick grabbed the keys of Connie's car and they both walked out of the Wildes' house, got in the car, and drove to Wolfpine.

During the drive, Nick kept his eyes on the road as he hid his excitement with a calm expression while Judy's eyes alternated between looking at the landscape and the fox.

"How do you think the guys at the ZPD will react to us being… together?" asked the grey bunny.

"Hmm… well, I don't know about all of them, but I'm sure whoever won the bet will be very happy"

"What bet?"

"Oh, you don't know about the WildeHopps bet?"

"They made a bet about us dating?"

"Yep, Ben told me by accident… I thought he did the same with you"

"Wow… and what about Bogo?... do you think he'll let us keep being partners?" asked Judy with slight worry.

"Yeah… I'm pretty sure he's in the bet too" chuckled the fox.

Nick and Judy continued their conversation between laughs and smiles until they arrived at the entrance of the cabin complex in Wolfpine. There was a barrier gate and, on the left, a booth where a nice wolf lady received them.

"Hello, welcome to the Indigo Forest Cabins, how may I help you?" she greeted them.

"Hi, I've got a reservation under the name of… Wilde" Nick doubted since his aunt didn't give him any name for the reservation.

"Oh!, you're Elizabeth's nephew, of course..." realized the wolf before taking a key from the key holder that was on the wall of the booth and handed it to the fox "...your cabin is number 4, have a nice stay!"

"Thanks," said Nick and Judy at the same time.

The wolf lifted the barrier gate and the fox followed the road signs until arriving at their cabin. Nick parked the car and grabbed his suitcase before they got off the car and got a better look at the cabin.

Some stairs led up to the porch, which was illuminated by a pair of wall lights, one at each side of the main door. The first thing they saw as soon as they walked in was a wooden table with a bouquet of colorful flowers and a welcome note, then there was the kitchen, with its fridge, microwave, oven, cupboards, sink, and the counter, where the instructions to order dinner were. The back part of the room was like a living room, there was a long couch that surrounded a tea table, a chimney, two big windows that faced the beautiful forest that surrounded the complex, and a ceiling fan with lamp lights. Once they were in the living room area, they turned around and saw the stairs that led up to the bedroom.

"So… was the surprise worth the wait?" asked Nick as he surrounded the bunny's waist with his arm.

"Oh, Nick… I love it, this place is so romantic" rejoiced Judy as she corresponded the fox with a hug.

"I'm glad you like it, Fluff" smiled Nick as he caressed her ears.
