Dom's pov

"Are you two done" I asked Astrid and Heather seeing that both of them looked exhausted and most likely about to pass out.

"N..no..i can k..keep going" Astrid said

"Yeah what she said." Heather said who also was having a hard time holding her double headed axe which suprised me at first.

After the talk with ruffnut me Astrid and Heather were sparring for three hours now it was a good workout and they made good sparring partners. With two different forms of fighting they've been keeping me on my toes. They are great fighters but if they figure out how to work as a team they might give even me a problem. Hell they might even give Daiyu a run for her money.

Dodging other swing from Astrid and Heather axe i saw there attack we're getting slower." you both can't even pick up your weapons plus i don't want you guys to get hurt so I think it time to stop" I said while putting my sword away.

"O come on it was just getting fun" Heather said.

"Sorry Heather but I have some things to get to and you guys need to get some rest.

"You can start building your hut another time." Heather said

"That I won't be doing until I get back.

"Get back, were are you going" Astrid asked.

"Well remember before I found you guys in my house, which I'm going to get you guys back for.

" Vigo gave me the location of the second in command to a exiled Roman fleet commander. He is on a island 1 week by boat and a day by flight from here.

"That far how do you know what your about to do is not a trap by vigo." Heather said

"I don't, that's why I send Banshee ahead to see what we're dealing with in defenses. She should be back any minute now.

"How do you know" Astrid ask

"She fly faster on her own. When she gets back and tells me what they have.I'll be making a plan of attack.

"What about..." she was cut of when we heard the sound of thunder." Well there she is.

A moment later Banshee landed in front of me looking tired"Hay girl how was the flight.

"It was lucky there's a small storm coming close to the area we needed to go.

"Good cuts down on travel, So what did you see" I asked

"Ships, a lot of them, Dragon nets, Bolas, harpoons, on a huge stone wall with watch towers, it almost looks like the fort they had the star metal in but buy the looks there ready for a attack.

" So he was telling the truth. But I need more a better look at it. Do you mind if i take a look" i asked reaching my hand out.

"Sure go ahead" I then put my hand on her head and closed my eyes. Then in a moment I was floating next to Banshee looking down at the base.

"Well you were right about one thing. Who ever is the designer of these defenses is making a big buck. It going to be hell to get in without being seen.

"So what you think we should go loud.

"It's a possibility, but I'll have to find the point with the least problems don't want to lose a arm and leg trying to get in.

"Don't remind me. I still haven't forgotten what Yin did to prove a point.

"So anything else you need.

"No. thanks Banshee" I then took my hand of her head. Now back in my body" get some rest and come get me when you're ready to go.

"Can do see you Dom" and with that she took off to the mountains.

"Umm Dom what was that"i looked behind to see some of the gang looking at me in confusment.

"Nothing important i got some planning to do" i said walking off to get some wood.

The clubhouse night time

Astrid POV

It was late when I got back from my night flight when I saw the clubhouse lights still on. I went in to see Dom standing over the clubhouse table and saw what looks like a model of what looks to be a base.

"Hay Dom what you still doing up". I asked

"I should be asking you the same thing.

"I go out patrolling with Stormfly.

" That's good don't know what could happen.

"What you doing. Don't you need sleep.

"Can't sleep need to finish my plan on getting in to the base. And sneaking in is not going to happen. plus don't know were Banshee put my things.

"So were are you going to sleep.

"The clubhouse or the Dragons stables seems like the most likely" he then looked at me with a smug smile" unless you want to make room next to for the night.

That made me look away from him. Can this guy cut it " Can you go one moment without flirting.

"I wouldn't say that. It's just i know you like ruffnut and you doing this with me makes me think otherwise.

"It true i do like her and there are things I'll do for her that i wouldn't do for other people." He said sternly but then face fell to sadness "But she made it clear what's happening between me and you is something she's not willing to risk.

" She's not willing to leave everything behind to be with me. Even though I would be willing to offer her the world to explore. New lands and people that'll blow her mind. But she willing to choose her friends and family over a life at maybe true happiness.

Even Tuffnut has been acting different. Before when his sister has been looking at other guy he was more dismissive or out right discussed of how is sister was acting. But now he is like a overprotective father. Not saying that a bad thing but it's unlike him.

But the biggest has been hiccup. From him jumping into the kill ring. Two threatening Dom twice for trying to hurt me. Most of the time i would have been angry at him for interfering with my fights. But seeing the look in his eye when i was on my knees made my heart jump. All of this and all of what's happening right now with my friends it's strange and worrying

I then noticed Dom was walking towards the clubhouse door"Good night Astrid I'll see you when I get back.

"You say it like your going your going to make it. You don't want somebody to watch your back" I asked

"O i am, and thanks for asking but I'm going alone." He then stopped before leaving looking back towards me" Thanks for offering to go, but I don't want any of you guys to get hurt because of me" He said with sincerity which suprised me.

I let out a scoff" Who said I wanted to go and get myself killed. How are you getting there anyway.

He let out a chuckle"You have that im about to do something stupid and crazy look in your eye. And to answer your question there's strom clouds going close to the location. Banshee going to ride the lightning there cutting our trip in half. then rest and recharge before we begin the attack.

"Sounds like a plan.

Yeah, good night blondey" With does last word he was gone me being that only one in the club house.

I was about to leave but then I turned around to look and saw that the model he had was still there and saw that he made a plan of attack.

And it was crazy Banshee was going to do a full on frontal assault taking out ships and dragon defenses. While Dom assaults them from behind taking out archers and anybody that gets in his way.

It would be a good plan but seeing that it was a fortress and only Dom and Banshee he was going to get himself and Banshee killed. If he goes there alone he's most likely not coming back and Ruffnut will never be the same and for some reason neither will i" What the hell is going on. why do I feel so wired" its not my time i know that. I was feeling fine a moment ago, so what changed.

Something is going on and I need to know and Ruffnut not going to tell me.

I looked back at the model and smiled" But maybe I'll learn something by following him.

The next morning

"Ok guy's I'm off I'll see you guys in a day or two."Dom said he was wearing his outfit he had when he save us on that island but with out his mask.

"You sure Dom we can't come with you." Hiccup asked.

"No but thanks I don't want you guy's to get hurt and plus i made a promise to keep you safe" He said then looked shocked of what he said.

"Wait a promise from who, my dad" Hiccup asked.

"Yeah, your dad" He said then put on his mask" Stay safe" He then looked at ruffnut and was about to say something but just signal Banshee to take off.

With a roar they were off heading for the clouds out in the distance.

I stood there at the hanger still watching them until a bolt of lightning struck them and they were gone.

"What's on your mind" Heather asked.

"Something's going on, and I don't thinks it's only him out for revenge.

"What you mean by that.

"Haven't you noticed, the way things has been going. Snotlot isn't flirting with us as much. Tuffnut is being overly proactive. Hiccup has been more confident and even willing to flirt with me and don't forget the show him and Dom put on at the forg.

"Im pretty sure nobody isn't going to forget about that and now that you mention it, fishlegs has been less shy and forward not like what hiccup is doing but his not a nervous wreck when he sees me. It's kind of hot.

"All im saying is it all started when we first met Dom at the market.

"I won't to call you crazy but from what you told me I can see what you mean, so what are you going to do.

With that I was off going the same direction he when.

From what I remember he and Banshee is going to be there in half the time but is going to rest. So we should have time to get there before the attack begins. But will have to fly none stop if were going to get to them. Befor he starts his plan.

"Hay girl you up for a day flight" She gave me a small roar" I'll take that as a yes" I pulled out Dom's knife and had Stormfly smell it" You got them" She nodded" good let's go.

One day later

Dom pov

Me and banshee made it to the island twelve hours hours ago it was the afternoon when we set up camp. Banshee was resting from pushing herself hard to get us here as fast as possible. Right now I was walking up a trial to see were was the fort. I passed a few trees then stopped when I saw in front of me was nothing but tree stumps and opened field. passed all of that was the fort standing over the forest. "Well now I know were the trees went to." I said to myself

Walking back to the camp I saw Banshee was still sleeping soundly. She'll need all the rest she can. i really need to find a way to thank her she really didn't have to come her, but yet she did. I'm so grateful to have her by my side,

Now that I think about it maybe I should have brought somebody along. Would have made this much easier. But who would have came.

Valka would have been here in a heart beat seeing that there are most likely dragons in there.

Daiyu would be overkill and bringing her is something i wouldn't wish on anyone. I should try and find her i know she's here. Maybe I could send a message.

Camicazi would have no problem getting in there without being seen. She is smaller then most of the people i know. She still get mad that I call her short stack. But there is the fact that she would most likely try to get in my pants. Well most of the bogs mostly. Then there's her mother who tried to get me to marry her.

They were so sad and upset that I was already engaged to Ash at the time. They wanted to fight her for my hand and to my surprise she kick there asses even Camicazi and said she'll do the same to me if I ever try cheating on her. I never felt so scared and turned on at the same time.

My mother would be so disappointed in me especially what I'm doing. From going around killing anything I see fit, to out right looking for revenge. She'll just look at me like I'm some monster making that another person I let down.

I miss her too much. I mean it not like I can't go see her, all I have to do is go to the village and she'll most likely be there watching the entrance. I'll have to fight her to prove who I am. It not against the rules of the clan to do so, but it not the same.

The next afternoon

When I woke up I noticed that Banshee was gone and I was at camp alone until I saw her landing next to me with fish in her claws." I see your up it about time." She said

"How long was i a sleep for.

"You slept long it's the afternoon now.

"Why did you let me sleep so long.

"Well you and our guest needed the sleep.

Looking back i saw that it was Astrid who was walking towards me with a smug look on her face" What the hell are you doing here.

" Umm I'm here to help. That a stupid question.

"While other then me coming to help. I wanted to make sure you didn't get yourself killed.

"One that's bullshit. Second it doesn't matter cause your going back.

"Well when me and Stormfly came it was a storm behind us.

"So what, that's her name just fly back the way you came its not that hard.

"It was hard getting here and we almost got lost so going back is not a option at the moment.

"And whats the other reason your not going back and please make it believable.

"You couldn't make me go back even if you wanted to. Or is all that stuff you said to me in the clubhouse a lie." She said holding my knife i gave her.

I look and saw that she was seating on a rock sharpening her axe." You ready to go.

The fort's back wall

Astrid Pov

We've been walking for a few minutes now and Dom was quiet. He had a stone face as a look, no emotion and no smile to be seen. This was a side of him I've never seen.

In the ring there was emotion, anger and rage was one of them. But this was something else and I feel sorry for who ever was on the other side of that wall.

"So you know what we're up against.

" Dragon hunter and trappers, Mercenaries. Nothing to big other then the numbers but nothing i can't handle.

"Fighting a red or green death, Roman fleet, Aliens.

I looked and to my surprise I was standing in front of one of the biggest walls I've ever seen.

I looked and saw we were standing in front of a huge wall made of stone." This is a big wall. Now what is that plan of yours.

"We get over the wall.

He just looked at me and smiled. Then he pulled out that chain thing."With this.

"Were did Stormfly go with banshee.

"Those two are going to attack the front of the fort from a decent drowning most of the attention to them, while we go up the wall taking out the ,archers and other things that will stop those two from giving us close air support.

"Good plan, So why are we waiting here.

"Were waiting for the signal.

"What's the signal." My question was answered by a huge explanation that rocked the ground we were on" Ok that was the signal.

"No that was to get there attention.

"Then what was the signal.

Just then the sky started getting filled with clouds and getting darker. lighting started filling the air. Then the roar of banshee filled the air i had to cover my ears from the sound.

I saw Dom smiling" That's the signal.
