Chapter 79: Preparation Day

Some days passed by as I hung out with my friends more and had fun whenever we could. And, as a plus, the town was almost finished with rebuilding lost buildings and homes. So, Primp was almost back to normal... Well, as normal as it could be after the destruction that the fire Yog brought forth. Either way, we all had a good time for once. December 23rd came for us, and this was the day that I had to prepare myself and the girls to date on Christmas Eve. They didn't know that they were going to go on a date with me that night, but they were about to discover that. Alright, I'm gonna text Draco to come to Primp Town today. I did, and she wondered why. I texted her again, saying that she'll know when I meet her there. At this point, the day just hit noon and Lemres took me and Ringo to Primp Town to see our other friends. Of course, he didn't know what I was primarily doing on this day; I didn't tell him.

When we got to Primp Town, Lemres left us to do something briefly. Also, I told Ringo that I want her to stick with me for the time being. And so, me and her went to Feli's mansion to get Feli herself. I told her that I want her to come with us to town. She wondered why, and I replied by telling her that she'll find out soon. Naturally, she became curious and came with us. While walking back to town, I texted Draco once again that I was ready and told her to meet up with me in Primp. Sooner than expected, all four of us met there and talking amongst ourselves began. "Oh-! Hi, Draco. It's been a while, hasn't it?" Ringo greeted her. "Oh hiya, girls!" She returned the greeting. I saw Draco's coat and it was poofy, to say the least. Some fluff was at the end of the sleeves as well as around the neck area. "Alright, girls... I brought you all here today for a specific reason." I got their attention. "For a specific reason?" Feli questioned. "Yeah. ... Okay, you know that Christmas Eve's tomorrow, right?" I nodded before bringing up. "Yeah, go on…" Ringo spoke.

The girls were all waiting for me to say something. "Well... I have decided that tomorrow night will be the night for our special date! All four of us will be together for it here in Primp Town and it's gonna be great!" I enthusiastically revealed. "...!" The girls gasped. "The date will take place on Christmas Eve?!" Feli was elated to hear that. "You better believe that it will." I nodded twice over. 'I-I don't even know what to say... That sounds amazing!" Draco almost jumped for joy. "You dropped that reveal so unexpectedly, I don't think any of us saw this coming." Ringo told me. "Actually, I was planning how the date would roughly go more recently. Don't worry, all four of us will get to do something that we would want to do. At least, that's what I'm hoping will happen. I wish for all of us to have fun with this one-of-a-kind date. We probably won't get another one like it ever again in our lives, so we have to make it count." I said to the three. "... Hey, they're starting to put the finishing touches on decorating the town." Feli noticed.

… She's right... When we come here tomorrow night, Primp will look absolutely wonderful with Christmas decorations and everything will be bright and colorful. ... This is just so surreal; I honestly didn't think that I would be experiencing Christmas Eve and stuff outside my own world. But, lo and behold, I actually will… "... Anyway, let's all be ready to go here tomorrow night for the date, yeah?" I faced the girls. "Yeah!" The three cheered. "Sooo, does that mean we're already done for today?" Draco assumed. "As anticlimactic as it is... yeah." I nodded to her. "Well, see you guys tomorrow, then." Feli began to walk away smiling. "Bye, Dave and Ringo." Draco said before flying away. "We should prepare for tomorrow as well, Ringo." I said. "Right." She nodded. When Lemres met back up with us, I had him take us back to Suzuran.

Satan's POV

I had just watched Dave talk to his lovers and that made me smile. "Ah, young love... There's something brilliant with how kids like them take care of their own bonds. ... Actually, speaking of love... I never really set a time for me and Rulue to have our date. I told her that I would consider going out with her back when Dave was fighting to win in the tournament that was staged by Vyle. ... You know what? Christmas Eve sounds like the perfect night to have an unforgettable date. Dave... you're a smart one, that's for sure. I'll use your idea and make Rulue happy, like how she should have been during the tournament." I spoke to myself. After coming up with my own plans for the date, I paid Rulue a visit. I looked around, seeing if I could find her. I then saw Minotauros walking about. It didn't take long before he saw me and kind of freaked out for a second. "S-Satan?! ... What are you doing here?" He exclaimed before calming down. "I'm here to see Rulue, Minotauros. Is she here?" I went. "O-of course, she's over here." Minotauros gestured for me to follow.

I followed him until I saw Rulue sitting down, appearing to still be mentally affected by the fire that broke out in Primp. She wasn't exactly... happy, to put it lightly. "Rulue?" I called out to her. "...? ...! S-Satan...? What are you doing here?" She looked at me and asked. "Hmm... I can see that you're still not happy about the fifth Yog practically setting Primp ablaze…" I sat down next to her. "Well... it's not something that I can just forget about. ... Satan, it reminded me of the time that Mino foolishly risked his life to protect me. Innocent people were burning in those homes and buildings; who knows how many lives were both affected and lost on that night…" She told me. "... I'm sorry to ask this, but why did the fire remind you of that time?" I wondered. "It reminded me of that, because... people were potentially losing loved ones, similarly to how I almost lost Mino." She explained.

So she feels bad for the lives that might have been lost in that fire... "I see. Now I understand why you haven't moved on from what happened on that night... ... Look, Rulue... I have something to tell you and I think it can help you forget about the fire." I said to her. "Wh-what is it?" She asked. "Remember me saying that I considered the thought of going out with you at some point?" I brought it up to her. "...! Yeah, you said that during my fight with Dave at the tournament..." She remembered. "Well, about that... I have decided on a time for our date, since we all finally got some reasonable downtime for once after all the hell that the third, fourth, and fifth Yogs brought to us." I stated. "...! We're having a date soon?!" She stood up. "C-Calm yourself, I'm getting to that." I motioned my hands to get her to sit back down. "R-right…" She sat down once more. "So... how about we have our date on Christmas Eve, Rulue?" I waited for her answer.

Alright, moment of truth... Is her love for me still strong enough that she'll accept it? "I-I... … ... Yes, we will! That sounds wonderful, Satan!" She struggled to answer before she began to smile. "Th-that's great...! I want to see you smile, Rulue." I was happy to hear her answer. "But, um… … What kind of date will this be?" She asked me. "O-oh, what kind of date, you ask? Well, it won't be anything fancy... You'll see when I lead us through the date tomorrow night in Primp. I can't just spoil the surprises right now, can I?" I answered. "Heheheh... I guess you can't really spoil them. Still, thank you for getting us both set up for this date, Satan." She hugged me. "You're welcome, Rulue." I hugged her back. After that, I got up and said goodbye to her and Minotauros before leaving. Rulue, I just know that this year's Christmas Eve will be the best night that either one of us will ever experience...

Lidelle's POV

I just had one thing on my mind when it came to this day: Me finding Raffina and having her talk to me for a bit. I searched around Primp Town for a while before I eventually found her near some of the shops. From there, I got her attention. "U-um... Raffina!" I called out to her. "Huh? … Oh-! Hi, Lidelle. What brings you here today?" She noticed me and waved. "R-Raffina... there's something that I wanted to... a-a-ask you." I came up to her, feeling extremely nervous. "Something to ask me? Well, lay it on me. What is it?" She eagerly waited for an answer. "U-um... ... Won't you... hang out with me tomorrow night, since it will be Christmas Eve?" I eased myself into asking her. "Hmm... ... I don't see why not, we've been rather close as friends since this school year started, Lidelle… So, sure. I'll hang out with you. Whatever you want to do, I'll do it with you." She accepted my proposal. Y-yes! She accepted! "Oh, thank you so much, Raffina!" I hugged her. "Again, what are friends for, Lidelle? I'll be your friend for as long as we live." She placed a hand on my head.

This went on for a few seconds before I let go. "I'm going to go home now. Goodbye, Raffina." I waved to her with the sleeve of my coat. WIth that, I began to walk away. "Have a safe trip back home, Lidelle." I heard Raffina say to me. Raffina, you still don't know how happy you made me by accepting my request. I almost feel like a new girl just thinking about the good that will come from us having fun tomorrow night. When the fun does come and subside... I finally might have the courage to say what I wanted to tell you during that time where we had just defeated the fourth Yog. Ms. Accord alerting us about the town being threatened stopped me from telling you what it was. But now, though... nothing will get in the way of me telling you what has stuck with me for quite some time. I'll get this off my chest, so that I don't have to be shy around you anymore. I giggled and skipped along after I spoke out in my mind, making my way back home.

Dave's POV

Evening came as me and Ringo relaxed back in Suzuran with Serilly and Ms. Ando. We ate dinner, bathed... and then I brought myself to bed to prepare myself for the next day, as well as the night that came after it. Man, this date's gonna be one-of-a-kind... I can't wait! ... In that case, I might as well sleep now and reduce the amount of waiting that I have to consciously do. And so, I drifted to sleep and I dreamed about how my date with the three girls would go. I can only imagine that I was smiling in my sleep the whole way through. This dream progressed so nicely as the night passed... and I loved every second of it.

Author's Notes: I know that this is a short chapter, but it's setting up for things to come in the next few chapters. I will say: There are going to be a lot of things happening in the next few chapters that you guys will like. It's all good stuff, sure... but there are some REALLY amazing things coming up. Now, I usually don't like to hype people up before I release chapters, especially this early... However, I have to say it here: Chapter 82 is incredible and it's shaping up to be the LONGEST chapter of this story thus far. So if you guys have been reading this story since the release of Chapter 1 and have also been keeping up with the updates, then you won't want to miss the initial release of Chapter 82. With that being said, though… Let's get back to our regularly scheduled chapter summary.

Dave and Satan were both setting their dates up for Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, Lidelle asked Raffina if she could hang out with her on Christmas Eve, which the latter agreed to do. This made Lidelle very happy, and then she said goodbye to Raffina before skipping along towards home. With all of that in mind, what will happen on Christmas Eve for all of these characters?
