A/N: Because of the early meeting, most of Bubble Buddies doesn't happen and we'll skip Serious Steven.

Steven was glad to see the Gems and his father come home safely. Steven had made the effort to introduce Connie to them and got Pearl to train Connie in swordsmanship. At the moment, Steven was readying to join Amethyst.

"Hey Amethyst, I want to join your wrestling gig." Steven said as Amethyst spat out her milk.

"How did…"

"Amethyst, Purple Puma is purple. Plus, energy sensing." Steven said crossing his arms. "So can I get in on it? Don't even say I'm not strong enough. I've kicked and spanked that ass of yours."

"I'll let you do it, but you have to make sure Garnet and Pearl don't get involved." Amethyst said seriously. "I don't need the fun police ruining it."

"Wouldn't it make sense to tell Garnet at least…so she can keep Pearl from ruining it? Besides as second-in-command, I don't see an issue with your wrestling career." Steven said with a wink.

Amethyst had a smug grin as a team meeting was called about Amethyst's wrestling gig. Pearl protested, but she was outvoted.

"Garnet!" Pearl whined.

"Even if I sided with you, that's three to two." Garnet said as Steven had an idea. "So, meeting's over."

"Besides, Amethyst gets paid. And seeing that it's only me, my dad, and Amethyst are the ones making funds…you don't have room to argue." Steven pointed out as Pearl pouted.

Night came as Steven rolled out in his wrestling gear. He dressed up in a black sleeveless pullstring hoodie with the sleeves torn, dark greyish-blue headband, spiked blue gauntlets, fingerless gloves, a silver chain with a diamond pendant, black and black kung fu pants, kung fu slippers, and black face mask. On the back of the hoodie sported a greyed-out diamond with a blue 'X' on it. Steven even slicked his hair for it to look as un-Steven as possible.

"Who are you supposed to be?" Amethyst said shapeshifting into the Purple Puma as they were headed down to the ring.

"Black Onyx, or Bo. A mysterious fighter with the skills and a smart mouth." Steven said cracking his knuckles.

"Oh, vicious." Amethyst said as Spinel was running up to them asking if she can be in the stands to watch. "Free country, Spinel. Just don't cramp the style."

The three were at the warehouse and the crowd was eager to see the show start. Steven was surprised to see the Cool Kids, Vidalia, and even Onion among the crowd. Spinel took her set and Mr. Smiley took to the ring.

"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to Beach City Underground Wrestling! Tonight, we have a special guest in…from the streets of New York, the don of brawling, D-Mob!" Mr. Smiley said as Steven sputtered in disbelief.

Here, D-Mob was in the flesh. Steven's head was awash with multiple s-bombs being dropped as he noticed several faces from the Def Jam series.

"Thank you, Mr. Smiley. I just wanted to say I'm touched with the invite to this event. But I won't be fighting tonight. The fighters from my circuits will." D-Mob said as Bo and Razor entered the ring. "I heard you wanted a tag team exhibition match. Any fighter here think they can take them on?"

Steven made his entrance by leaping into the air and coming down onto the arena. The facemask double as a mouth guard with a hidden voice modulator to give a 'Red X'-esque voice which he turned on.

"I do." Black Onyx said menacingly.

"And who's this fighter?" Mr. Smiley said.

"Black Onyx. Call me Onyx, it'll be easier for you two to remember when I kick your asses." Black Onyx said cracking his knuckles as the Purple Puma landed in the ring. "With my partner."

"He's purple?" Razor said confused. "Do I even want to know why?"

Purple Puma remained silent as Mr. Smiley pointed out that the Puma did not speak. Steel growled at him as Purple Puma growled right back.

"He is fucking big." Purple Puma thought. "I'm impressed though."

"Now hang on, rules state that newcomers to the ring here have to have a one on one exhibition match to prove their worth." Mr. Smiley said only for Bo to shove Razor out of the ring. "And it looks we have your opponent."

"Steel. The tallest one in my circuits." D-Mob said as he, Razor, and Mr. Smiley got out of the ring.

"I sense he is stronger than I expected." Black Onyx said gesturing to Purple Puma to let him handle this. "But I got this."

Purple Puma left the ring as Bo scanned his opponent over.

"C'mon bitch, step up. I dare you." Bo said as the match was called to begin.

[Cues: CNN – Yes Sir (Instrumental)]

Bo wasted no time getting the first kick into Black Onyx's jaw. Black Onyx had to admit to himself that there was evident power. It was a match of throwing blows where both were willing to fight dirty. Black Onyx found himself bouncing off the ropes and smacked into the ground.

"And it looks like Bo is taking control of the fight!" Mr. Smiley said Black Onyx was held by throat by Bo.

"Any last words, chump?" Bo asked.

"Yeah, I got just two. Bicycle Kick." Black Onyx said unleashing a barrage of kicks at Bo's face and chest.

Bo was forced to let him go to catch his breath as Black Onyx spun Bo before kicking him into his stomach. Black Onyx sat on him pulling his legs forcing a pin count.

"1…2…." The crowd chanted before Black Onyx was thrown off.

"You think this is going to be easy, bitch?" Bo said as they were both on feet. "Fancy ass-GUHH!"

Black Onyx did not speak but gave a palm strike to Bo's bare stomach before uppercutting him, grabbing his leg while mid-air, and throwing him into the ropes after a swing. What occurred was a painful game of handball with Bo as the ball. The last bounce and Black Onyx give one last uppercut hard enough to break Bo's jaw and send him flying out of the arena crashing onto the table where Mr. Smiley and D-Mob were at.

"Oh…shit…." Bo said before passing out.

The crowd cheered for Black Onyx as he raised a fist in victory.

[Music Ends]

"He saw white, but he's seeing nothing but black and blue now." Black Onyx said with a cocky air to him. "Someone get that punk to a hospital, he's done."

He climbed off the ring and felt confident seeing the crowd cheer for him. He did spy D-Mob giving him a curious look. Purple Puma got to have his fight with Razor to which Black Onyx was glad to see the fruits of labor in training pay off.

"I think Puma's surprised these fighters are pretty stronger than the usual fare. Don't blame for that…though seeing Def Jam characters is a shock. I wonder what's the details for that. I need to look into it." Black Onyx thought as he watched the fight.

Purple Puma had won by pulling off a body slam to pin Razor for the three count. Of course, the Puma was booed, but he relished in it. A few matches later and the two were ready to call it a night after getting paid, only for D-Mob to approach them both.

"You two, I have to admit that I like your style. You, Black Onyx, remind me of two young bucks I knew back in the day. You two want to make cash in Empire City, hit me up." D-Mob said handing the two business cards before leaving.

"I hope you two do take it up."

The two turned to see a pretty tall blonde girl approach them which B.O. knew was Deja as she gave a cute wave. here. Both had their eyes as Deja's swaying behind as she left. Spinel came over asking if they were ready to go home to which they nodded. As Black Onyx and Purple Puma left and Steven and Amethyst returned to the house, Garnet was waiting for them.

"You two weren't thinking about going to Empire City, were you? Because Pearl wouldn't approve." Garnet warned. "And I see it as a distraction that can go out of hand."

"Garnet, we won't. Fun as it would be, I know we got bigger fish to fry." Steven remarked.

Garnet looked down as Steven and Amethyst while gesturing for Amethyst and Spinel to go on ahead in the temple. Spinel technically had her own room at the garden thanks to the Gems sprucing it up and Steven modifying the technology for a stimulated day/night cycle. Spinel was off in said room and Amethyst went her room. Steven gulped when Garnet tossed him on his bed.

"Steven, while I trust you, I want to make sure you don't even think of sneaking off to Empire City or helping Amethyst to do so. I do see a possibility of you doing it for some blonde woman. Tell me, did you meet a blonde?" Garnet asked coming closer. "Was she pretty?"

"Not as much as you are." Steven said shakily.

"Flattery isn't getting you out of this." Garnet said taking off her shades.

"You're not mad, are you?" Steven asked.

"No. Because you having an interest in women is healthy, but I'm just reminding you of your priorities." Garnet said faux-sweetly.

Steven was feeling both terrified and aroused tugging at his shirt collar. He tried to play it off as he was all calm and collected, but Garnet saw through it easily this time spying a tell-tale sign.

"You've yet to beat me." Garnet whispered into his ear. "And I know you want to have sex with me."

"Garnet…you tease." Steven whispered back.

"Aw, can't handle a bit of conversation. You ought to have control of yourself." Garnet said getting up. "I guess I'll go to bed. Have fun pleasuring yourself."

Just to rub salt into the wound, she shapeshifted down her 'sleepwear' which was a big t-shirt and panties right in front of Steven who watched her go.

"Damn it, now I can't fricking sleep." Steven growled. "Garnet and her teasing ass."

He considered going to Pearl, but he was not in the mood for a Gem. He got up leaving the house before checking the time which was 10 at night.

"Ok, maybe I should use my mind control powers on someone. Not like I want to be a complete good guy." Steven thought before saying, "Wait, did Garnet see me using my powers like this coming? I…"

Steven turned right back inside to see Garnet sitting there drinking a cup of water.

"By the way, if you're going to consider your mind control powers…maybe consider limiting your experiment as few people as possible." Garnet remarked.

"You knew I could do that?" Steven asked.

"Saw it as a small chance of happening. You are half-human." Garnet said. "Normally, I wouldn't be advising you to do it, but seeing that the Diamonds are breathing down our necks. This power could possibly end the fight. So…against my better judgement, I'm giving you free rein to use it and train it. In theory, you could use it on Gems and it could be useful for interrogation."

"Are things really that messed up that you're letting me do this?" Steven said with a thoughtful look.

"It kinda has. As you said, you need to get a grip on your Diamond powers. Right now, I don't see you controlling gems yet. So, you should go practice on humans. Just, don't get caught and don't be stupid about it." Garnet said crossing her arms.

"Welp, if you insist." Steven said. "Any suggestions?"

"Future vision is fuzzy on that. Honestly, it's been fuzzy on several things lately." Garnet admitted.

"So, is it fuzzy on whether I beat you in a fight and get to clap the cheeks?" Steven crudely asked.

Garnet cleared her throat and left for her room as Steven shrugged leaving the home.

(A/N: Now I bet you're wondering why Garnet let Steven go willy-nilly with the mind control power. The reason is simple, the Diamonds. Garnet sees Steven as a Diamond as a great boon, the power chip in the chess game against the Diamonds. While she doesn't exactly like it, she would rather minimize casualties any way possible. Plus, she's playing Steven with hopes this will keep him in Beach City…which it will for the most part.)

[So, as an aside, I'll take suggestions for who you want Steven to try his powers. Aside from Mrs. Barriga and Vidalia, any other notable human woman is fair game.]
