Chapter 30: Captive
***DEDICATED TO Spunky0ne and Timewaster123456789 for their birthdays***
Time - darkness for you, my wicked vassal
Spunky - because reading you made me brave enough to attempt something of this caliber
Warning: *attempted* rapes, and a whole lotta dark drama. Suggestions of actual rape/non-con. Aizen is pure evil. Brace yourselves.
I am prepared for the hate I'll get for doing this. Hell, I kinda hate myself for doing this...
"Byakuya, where are we?"
Byakuya hesitated, trying to calm his racing heart because panic wouldn't help them at all right now.
"I think...we're prisoners in Los Noches."
.
Renji hissed angrily at his lover's words. They couldn't be...
He looked up to see Byakuya chained to the wall, trapped on a small bed and wearing the same kind of flimsy, almost sheer yukata as himself.
"Oh fuck..."
Just as the curse escaped him, the door opened, and Aizen walked in. "Hello there. How did you sleep?"
Renji growled, fighting the weakness he felt as he surged against the chains, trying to reach the wicked traitor. His primary thought was that he had to somehow keep this monster away from his captain.
Aizen looked down at him, wearing an expression of bored contempt.
"Ohh, scary. You're nothing but a chained dog, Renji. I suggest you remember that."
Then the former captain moved towards the bed, where Byakuya was glaring at him with cold, seething hate. Aizen gave a sadistic smile.
"You, on the other hand, are more like an angel whose wings have been clipped, Byakuya."
Renji was getting more pissed by the second, still struggling against the chains as an attempt to summon a Kido only resulted in a shower of red sparks from the metal cuffs he wore.
"Don't you fucking dare touch him, you demented motherfucker!"
Aizen calmly kept his eyes on the noble.
"I have no intention of touching you...yet. There's someone here who's been dying to see you, Byakuya. And I suggest you cooperate if you don't want your mongrel lover to die."
Renji stiffened in horror - 'How does he know we're lovers? Then again, it is Aizen; he has ways of knowing shit...'
Byakuya glanced at him, steel eyes full of resolve. His captain would do whatever it took to keep him safe.
Aizen smirked viciously.
"You're both too weak to fight, anyways. I kept the two of you asleep for over a week. It's time for your visitor, Byakuya."
The door opened, and in walked a tall, stocky Arrancar. Renji narrowed his eyes suspiciously, then his superior screamed.
"No! You're dead! I saw you die!"
Renji tensed, frantically working at his chains.
Surely, only one being in any world would cause that reaction from his powerful Taicho.
The blond Arrancar stepped closer to the bed, a wickedly lustful smirk on his face.
"It's been a long time, Byakuya. You grew up into quite the beauty. I've missed taking my pleasure from your sweet little body, hearing those sounds of pain you made. Will you finally cry for me, little prince?"
Renji saw red as the revived guard started to climb on the bed, and Byakuya whimpered, sparks flaring from his restraints as he desperately tried to summon a Kido.
Renji roared, his reiatsu billowing under the restrictive cuffs as he put everything he was into getting free.
He'd promised this bastard was never gonna touch his partner again!
He fought the chains, ignoring the pain of them biting into his flesh as finally, finally, the wooden flooring they were attached to cracked and split.
Renji surged forward, tackling the guard-Arrancar just as he was reaching for the frozen ravenette. They both flew off the end of the bed as he fought with all his strength, pounding his fists and any other body part he could into his opponent.
He was barely aware that with each blow he landed, his mind ticked off the list that'd been in his head ever since Byakuya had told him what this sick fuck had done. He rained strikes of vengeance on the Arrancar.
For cutting him!
For taking his innocence!
For breaking his trust!
For making him afraid!
Renji wrapped the chains hanging from his wrists around the guard's neck, yanking as hard as he could, viciously pleased to hear bone breaking as the bastard went still.
Then he felt the bite of a needle in the side of his neck.
With a snarl, he tried to turn and swing at Aizen, but the room tilted and swam dangerously as he felt himself collapsing.
XxXx
Byakuya didn't have time to be relieved that the Arrancar version of the guard was dead before Renji was sprawled on the floor.
"Renji?!"
Aizen knelt next to the redhead.
"You think you saved him? You just set him up for something worse."
The traitor pulled out another needle and jabbed Renji in the neck again.
"Stop!" Byakuya snapped, trying not to let his desperation leak into his tone. "Stop hurting him!"
Aizen smirked at him.
"He's not the one you should be worried about. Come, Renji."
Byakuya watched in horror as the bigger Soul Reaper rose to his feet almost as though pulled on a string. His face was devoid of emotion, and his eyes, so recently filled with love and respect, were chillingly blank.
"Re-Renji?" Byakuya whispered, and their captor chuckled coldly.
"Oh, he can hear you, he just can't do anything about it. He sees, hears, and feels, but his actions are mine. Kurotsuchi would envy this drug. See?"
Aizen slapped Renji hard across the face, snapping his head sideways from the blow, but there was no reaction from the Rukon Dog.
The former captain looked at Byakuya with calculating malice in his eyes.
"Renji, show your lover why it is useless to defy me."
Before Byakuya could do more than blink, Renji grabbed his ankles and yanked. With a gasp, he was suddenly stretched on his back across the bed. His arms were painfully taut above his head, still chained.
And Renji was climbing onto the bed between his legs.
Byakuya instinctively pulled his knees up, but they were roughly wrenched back into place, sharply reminding him of when Renji had broken his counter.
'Please don't be afraid of me.'
'I wouldn't let anything happen to you.'
'I'll never hurt you.'
"No, Renji. Don't do this," Byakuya breathed, hoping to reach his subordinate through whatever nefarious toxin Aizen had injected him with.
But only Aizen's derisive laughter answered him.
"Nice try."
Byakuya noticed with dread that the drug had aroused Renji. Hard hands forced his legs apart and ripped at the thin yukata. As the bigger Soul Reaper moved into position, he paused and growled, eliciting more mocking laughter from Aizen.
"If he tries to fight the drug, it'll only hurt him. It may even kill him."
Horrified more by the thought of losing Renji than by the thought of the drugged redhead hurting him, Byakuya felt tears welling up to slide to his temples.
"Renji, I'll be ok, don't fight it. I don't want you to die."
The younger man moved above him, still growling in pain, even as a large hand wrapped around his throat. He forced himself to stay still, well aware that the physically stronger man could hurt him if he fought.
Then Byakuya looked up, surprised to see tears building in the blank reddish-brown eyes. At the sight, he felt his insides shatter. After everything, was this the end?
"I'm so sorry I didn't keep you safe," he whispered. "I love you, Renji."
The dull eyes widened, tears falling on Byakuya's face to join his own. The entire muscular frame began shaking, and Renji's eyes closed as he started glowing red.
Escaping through the fractured cuffs, wild, scorching reiatsu whipped around them, stinging Byakuya's bared flesh, then Renji started screaming.
A green mist rose from the shaking body to dissipate in the scarlet energy.
Slowly, Renji opened his eyes, the auburn gaze full of life, though weary from the fight to regain control. Byakuya saw that the redhead was panting and shaking, yet Renji managed a strained whisper.
"I love you, too."
It could've almost been a perfect moment.
In any other reality.
The sudden chill of disapproval emanating from Aizen made them turn their heads to see him stalking towards the bed.
Renji weakly put himself in front of Byakuya, only for Aizen to snatch the long crimson hair and drag his former subordinate off the bed.
"I don't know how you expelled that serum, but you will regret it."
Byakuya could only stare in horror, repeatedly causing Kido sparks to fly from his cuffs, as their captor kicked the crumpled redhead, then reached for him.
Aizen unlocked the chain from the wall and dragged a struggling Byakuya to the edge of the bed, striking his cheek for his resistance.
"If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself," the older man snapped, starting to push Byakuya's torn yukata aside.
Suddenly, Renji stumbled between them, weakly pushing Aizen away.
Byakuya stared as the bigger Soul Reaper swayed unsteadily, then dropped to his knees before the traitor.
"Ai...Lord Aizen, please allow me to take his place. He's really of no use to you. I...I can perform better. My skills have only increased since I was in your squad."
Byakuya felt despair flood him as he realised his lover was offering himself in trade for his freedom. Aizen looked thoughtful.
"Now, Renji, that would hardly be fair for me. You always resisted and fought me before - you'd be far too much trouble on your own, and not worth releasing Byakuya. I have a feeling that his safety would be the only thing controlling you."
Byakuya's blood froze in his veins as the youngest of the three replied in a whisper.
"If you let him return safely... I will not fight you."
Byakuya saw Sousuke Aizen's deep brown eyes widen with genuine interest.
"I did intend to break your Taicho, but perhaps knowing you're here, at my mercy, will be even better. Very well."
Byakuya slid off the edge of the bed to kneel at Renji's side.
"No, Renji, don't do this! I am your captain and I order you not to do this!"
Auburn eyes met his, somehow looking both tormented and at peace, yet still full of the love Byakuya had come to treasure.
"Consider this my resignation, then. You'll be safe - that's all I've ever wanted for you. If you meant what you said, that you love me...you won't come back here for me. Don't let the pack come, either. Go home, baby. Shuu will help."
Byakuya heard Aizen snap his fingers, apparently tiring of their interaction. Then he was being pulled away from his partner.
"No! Let me go! Renji!"
But his words no longer mattered.
As he was dragged out, he saw Aizen grab Renji's hair to haul the Rukon Dog up from the floor and fling him onto the bed.
Then the door closed.
Byakuya viciously turned on the Arrancar holding him, barely taking notice of the vaguely familiar blue hair and eyes as he snarled and struck as hard as he could.
"Release me! I must go back!"
His captor shook his head, seemingly unfazed by his struggles.
"He's Aizen's now. That red-haired mongrel must really love you to sacrifice himself like that."
Byakuya continued to struggle, even as he heard a garganta ripping open, then he felt Senbonzakura being pressed into his hands.
He was shoved through the portal just as an agonized scream from beyond the closed door pierced his heart.
